I took the online class, which was awesome. She's not a hard grader, and will always answer your emails and instant messages. I hate English, but I actually started to like writing papers in her class. Weird! Just don't lose track of the due dates.

Easy online class. hardest part is keeping track of the due dates on the crappily put together blackboard. VERY understanding when it comes to situations that arise in life, she gave me more than a few chances, and i appreciate it. good class

I took Professor Hake's online English class and she was great!! I was amazed at how helpful she was and she really cared about her students. I was very pleased with her class and I have registered for other classes with her. I don't like English, but Prof Hake made it fun and enjoyable!!

This was pobably the easiest course I have ever taken. I took it online and had no problems. Mrs. Hake was very organized and all her assignments were very short and easy. This class was easier than my engwr.300 (1a) class believe it or not. I highly recommend taking her for this course!!! An easy 'A' to fulfill area A3 for GE.

Although she teaches an online class, yet she's very helpful, her class was not confusing at all, she grades fairely. If you want to pass English 300 at ease of your home with a good grade take her.

Most straight forward easiest class I have ever taken. Professor Hake was great. If you can write then take this online and get an easy A. My lowest essay score was a 97. BUT, doing the hw is very important. Watch for dates. DO THE HOMEWORK!!! Overall, nice easy class. She is an easy grader too.

I liked her a lot. Very warm personality and very smart. Could return hw faster, but otherwise it was a great class and I really enjoyed doing all the work. If you're smart and you like to write, this is a wonderful class to take!

Took online course. Was worried after reading some posts, but she replied all of my email within a few days. Understanding of situations if you tell her in advance. Lots of different assignments due, but not too hard to keep up. Only thing didn't find great was the few comments on the essay, but makes sense since I took an online class. Got an A.

This was the first class I took online and she made it great. She was extremely helpful, answering all of my questions in a timely manner. Even though it was an online class, she made herself available, even calling me on the phone to help me with an essay. She is a great teacher.

Loved Prof Hake so much I will take her class this summer. She is very clear with what she wants and her expectations. I've emailed her several times and got a reply within minutes.

Lots of random assignments due after other students posted their work. For an online course it required being available 7 days a week witch was inconvenient. Never received final essay with grade or notes? She said, "Sorry I deleted it already." She did respond quickly to emails though.

Very biased toward her own agenda. Her way or the highway. I hate to sound so general but I'm anonymous, so I'll say it. When she had the class read "school of essential ingredients" and made comments that a book about emotional-level cooking is perfectly balanced for both gender's demographic, I began to realize she's very feminist & conservative.

Although she was a little disorganized and continually didnt have essays graded in a timely manner, she worked with students on assignments. Its true minimum words are needed for journals etc. also make sure to answer all questions on peer reviews. Overall not too bad for an online English class.

Although this was an online class the teacher did a great job on instructing. She had the semester pre-planned out in 3-4 sections and gave the students their expected workload a month in advanced. She does not timely grade the work seeing as she has hundreds of essays to read, but she grades very generously. Alot of work, but easy to get an A.

Very easy for an English Writing 302 class. For an easy A I'd recommend her. Not much homework except for the 4 essays you write over the semester which isn't bad at all. She's an easy grader and she misses class all the time! During my semester class was cancelled probably about 5 or 6 times which is awesome. Easiest English class I've taken.

Work will be given during classes that cannot be made up, so you should show up to get all credits. She's an English teacher, so how do you think she grades the four essays? She adds reading assignments on D2L. Great teacher overall. Haven't recieved final grade yet, but most likely an "A" so it is very possible with a little effort.

Engwr 302. Pleasant personality. Clear expectations. Your writing will improve if you do the work and come to class. Earning an A is possible with this reasonable professor. Do the assignments and come to class and you'll be fine.

I took her class online this summer. It just finished yesterday. She is an AMAZING teacher and I really enjoyed her class. She assigned good readings that were very interesting, and she was very easy to communicate with. I was scared going into this class but I am SOOOO happy I decided to take it. I am so much more confident now in my writing!

I took English 300 online this summer. Good teacher! it was a very fast paced course however which made it difficult. I got 98% on all three of my formal essays so it must not have been too bad(: If you have questions she really is willing to answer them. If your willing to put in work and check your assignments daily it really shouldn't be hard.

Prof Hake was the easiest professor I had ever had. She grades fairly easily and doesn't really follow through on all her assignments. If you want an easy A, take her but if you actually want to improve your writing skills, I advise you to take another professor.

There is not enough to be said about Professor Hake; she is amazing. One of those professors that you will tell your kids about. Amazingly constructuve and understanding, she really cares and wants us to do well. TAKE HER CLASS

I took English 301 during the summer. It was an accelerated 6 week course. It was a lot of work, but the class itself was interesting. The professor answered all my questions really quickly. Just keep up on all your work and don't fall behind! I would take this instructor again if I could.

Prof. Hake was very helpful during the 6 week online course. I will be looking for her name when enrolling into future english classes.

I am very happy I took this class. Professor Hake is an organized teacher who makes makes students use their creativity since we could pick our essay topics. Because of her I can strongly say my writing has improved! Although there are a lot of discussion board postings, the material is interesting and not overly complex.

Took 6 week summer course and it was A LOT of work. Tons of reading, 4 essays all with mandatory peer review. Journal assignments were never opened, but received full grades. Lots of discussion board posts. A lot of work but assignments were always clear. I would recommend Hake just be prepared to read and write! 6,000+ words in first unit alone!

Good class. You will read! You do peer edits, you should have someone you trust do your edit unless you can find a good class mate. Do the work and you'll get a worthy grade.

Professor Hake is a great teacher! She picks interesting topics for class and when it comes to essays or reading, she gives you a variety of topics and let's you pick the one closest to your interest. I would definitely take her again and recommend her to anyone!

Her 6 week online class is a lot of work! But the assignments are very clear so it is manageable if you stay on top of the homework. Assignments due every night M-F. Altho fast paced I would much rather get this over for GE credit than drag out a full semester. Feed back on assignments are slow.

I took this class online, she gives lots of reading. There were two quizzes, many journals, 5 discussion-board, two group assignments, and 4 essays. She also provides extra credit. It was so much work but she is really nice professor. She reply emails really fast. If u do all the work you will pass with an A. I really recommend her.

I would highly recommend taking her for English 302 online. Ive dropped this class many times with other professors because the work load was too much. She provides a reasonable amount which isnt too much at all. 4 essays, some light reading and journals, discussion, peer review. Compared to other teachers, theres barely much reading with her

I would highly recommend her online summer class! Most of it is just short readings and answering questions. The essays she is strict on but if you email her to proof read them she will and just fix the errors she tells you to for an A. She is very sweet and emails back quickly.

I took Professor Hake's summer course. It was a lot of work but I really enjoyed the course. We looked at some great literature. Lots of work but she gives awesome feedback and is such an understanding and caring professor. I highly recommend! Discussion boards nightly, 4 essays, one small group project. 300 word journals. Best class I have ever taken. Ever. If you are looking for an English class with interesting material to read then take this. There is only 3 short essays, a group project, and a lot of reading but it is easy reading. If you are choosing between her and other teachers I recommend taking Hake.

This by far is the most in depth teacher that is willing to take the time for you to learn. Most teachers dont give you time with you one on one because youre in college now. She will show you what you are missing and work with your schedule!! Would take this class again!!

I wish I knew about this teacher when I signed up for college two years back. Retaking this class was a lot easier and Ms. Hake made it easier to understand. Highly recommend to incoming freshmen.

Professor Hake is a very caring teacher and is understanding with situations. I have not had many teacher that are willing to work with you with any situation you are having.

Pretty straight forward, reading and essays with adequate time in-between to work. She has students peer review your work. I would have preferred more thorough feedback from her but I got A's on my papers so perhaps there wasn't much to say. I would take her again I had no problems.

Professor Hake is one of the best teachers I have taken. I never was good at English, but she was able to give me positive feedback that really changed my outlook on English altogether. It isn't my first language so it really impacted me.

Professor Hake's ENGWR 301 is overall a good class. There is a lot of reading, as expected of a English Literature course. My only problem is that I never received a reply to emails. She has a "Cafe" discussion where she would reply to questions there however, direct conversation with her wasn't really an option in the online course.
