stats-great teacher-her 1st year at delta, like mine. teaches as a good pace, if u already like math. homeworks assigned/due every class period but do it and u'll be fine. tests arent long, only like 8 questions. she lets u use a one sided cheet sheet and u wont even fill it up. just write the notes from the review and ur all good

She's really nice and helpful. She gives your handouts that you use during class to write down notes and do examples on (very helpful). You have homework but honestly it's worth doing because you get points and you practice the material on the test. She gives study guides. I got a B in the class but it's probably because I didn't really study.

Mrs. Hammer is an excellent, nice teacher. In class, she explains every detail clearly and of course very helpful. You are free to ask her questions in the afternoon, but just two and a half hours available. I would like to highly recommand her.

Great teacher. She uses many examples on the white board to make sure students get it, and allows students to ask questions. She gives study guides before the test with example questions. No notes allowed. Must turn in homework, plus points from homework help your grade a lot. Buy solutions manual, it helped me a lot.

Extremely nice and helpful. Best math teacher I ever had. Very understanding about absences or if you have to miss an exam or if you turn in homework late. Study guide she hands out prior to exam has many of the same questions as the exam. You can ask any homework problem in class and she will do it on the board.

She really doesn't give a lot of work. If you ask her questions, she's always willing to help until you really understand something. You have loads of time to do homework. Classwork is just one worksheet if she decides to assign one. And you'll always know whats going to be on the exams. She's fairly easy. I highly recommend taking her.

Very good teacher. As much as I hate math, I didn't mind showing up to class. She explains things very well, and is willing to give you extra help if you are having trouble understanding. Class is overall very easy. As long as you do all of your homework assigments you are almost gauranteed to get an A

She is a sweetheart! you can easily get an A+ as long as you show up to class and do what you have to do. If you happen to take her class and fail then there is something wrong with you because your at college not high school and you are there to learn not fool around!She will explain the material to you as much as needed. She is very helpful. I took precal a semester ago with Gallo, but had to drop it because I could not follow his lectures. Hammer is clear on what she wants, she is not the easiest but definitely keeps her lectures clear and her tests are based on examples from the class. I got a B in her class and did work for it. She is a very good teacher. Yes she does teach very fast but if you manage to follow with her, she explains very simplistic. Grading is a little hard but in the long wrong, it is good. I got an A and i totally bombed a test and missed 3 quizes!!!

I'm currently in her class and soo far I can say she is very helpful and clear. If you show up, pay attention and not text, etc.. you should have no problem. I do a update after the semester is over. But so far so good.

I took professor Hammer's online course and this course, by far, is the best course and instructor I have ever taken. Professor Hammer is very understanding and knows that a lot of online students have full time jobs, so she is pretty lenient on her due dates. It doesn't mean that you could turn in every assignment late, though!

Pushed back chapter due dates a few days several times over the summer semester. I liked the system and professor.

I loved Mrs Hammer, and her Math 80 class.She is very flexiable, I keep trying and she knew I was puting an effort, she worked with me.If you knew me you would know I am not that good with numbers, but Mrs Hammer encoraged me to do my best,she worked with me even let me turn in couple of assignments late.

Professor Hammer is so nice and helpful. She checks in every week and extends the due dates if needed. The class is through an online program and as long as you do the hw and take the tests you'll be fine. The final is taken in person.

While I took this class online and didn't interact with her personally, she made it clear she was available to the students if they needed it, and was flexible with due dates if she noticed the rest of the class needed the time. I think I'd like to take a campus class with her as she seems to be a very good teacher.

This is a math class, so there is a lot of homework. But you can google most of the answers using online calculators. The in-person final was 25 questions and even easy for me (I'm really bad at math) She gives ALOT of assignment extensions, JUST ASK. Also, don't forget to do any tests or homework, your grade WILL go down. It happened to me.

She responds fast to emails and is very helpful when you ask questions. The practice final was very similar to the real final and there were no surprises.

I took this class online and had the privilege of attending her in class, as it worked around my schedule. She wants her students to succeed and PASS her class. She is very patient, responds to email fast, very kind, and is willing to give you chances to boost your homework and tests if you ask. You must pass the final; notes are acceptable.

There are approx 25-30 questions for homework. There is 3 review tests that are unlimited, 5 chapter tests. Homework is 35% of your grade, chapter tests are 35% of your grade, and the final is 30%. Calculator and one sheet of paper allowed for final. You have to get a 40% on the final in order to pass the class. Mrs Hammer responds quickly (92G)

I only took this class because I needed it to move on to other math courses, but it was honestly not that bad. Bulk of weekly homework but lots of time to do everything. Extra chances on tests and the books online when you purchase the access code. Examples show you exactly how to do everything. Final was easy, just study.

Despite her age, Professor Hammer is really energetic and enthusiastic when it comes down to teaching. Taking notes is probably the hardest since she writes quickly on the board. She hands out practice tests that help a lot. You might feel like she's dropped the "hammer" on you if your struggling but seek help and you'll find what your looking for.

She is amazing! Taking math online is always going to be more like self teaching, BUT prof Hammer makes it as easy as possible. Hmwk assignments are open for a long time, she will extend due dates, very quick to answer emails and always very polite. In class final is needed but you can use notes. If your doing math online take this one!

Professor Hammer is awesome and very sweet. IMO this class was tough at the beginning, but I managed. You'll be introduced to trigonometry and if you can't pass the basics of it, you're going to be having a hard time throughout the rest of the semester. Before the exams, she gives out study guides including previous exams from past semesters.

This was a great class. Math has always been a difficult subject for me and I was told that taking it online would only make things worse. However, the website was well designed, the homework and textbook were very helpful and the teacher was responsive when I needed her. I would recommend her online class to anyone.

Incredible professor, in my 2 and a half years at delta she is one of the kindest most helpful professors I ever had, and definitely the best math professor I had there. She was very fair in how she graded and assigned work, it wasn't just straight up handed to you but she wasn't ridiculously difficult either so you actually learned the material.

I've been in her class for 3 months now and she's great! I struggle with math so I really appreciate her providing a 3 page study guide to study that gives you an idea of what's on the test. We also received an answer key on how to do the problems along with our test. Her lectures require you to open the book so you can easily follow along

I truly appreciate her study guides for tests, she provides a blank study guide with questions only and an answer key showing how to do the problem. Great professor. She doesn't really teach well, she basically teaches everything in the book, but I recommend reading the sections beforehand. Homework is pretty straightforward and exams are easy.

I wish I could have her as my professor for all my math courses. I love the structure of her class. Her expectations on the test are straight forward 100%. To stay on track - review the chapter before class! Math isn't my strongest subject, at times I struggled to follow along bc at this level some steps should be common sense/learned already!

I've always been terrible at math and the thought of taking Pre-calc was super scary. She is so slow-paced (in a good way) & thorough with her teaching, even I was able to keep up. She gave about 2-3 hw assignments a week (drops lowest 4) and a quiz for each chapter. You can use a 8 1/2 x 11 cheat sheet on the final (I didn't and still got a B).

Mrs. Hammer is one of the best math teachers Id have. She is very clear on what to expect and doing the homework is very important to understand the material. All the examples on class are on the exam, so there are not surprises as other math classes. Mrs. Hammer helps her students during office hours and its patient. Would recommended 10/10!

I love proffesor hammer, she is so far my favorite teacher. She shows you clearly show to do things. step by step and you can always pause she and ask her to go over it again. Took an online Math 090 course with professor Hammer. Study and you will pass. In person final exam. What I liked best is that she gave many extensions for most chapters, which helped tons to catch up. If youre not great at Math, know that this course wont be easy, but professor Hammer does lots to support her students.

Proffesor Hammer is a great Math teacher. She gives students everything they need to succeed and reviews the material multiple times. She's willing to answer anyone's questions. She provides study guides a couple days prior to test days which are very helpful. As long as you do your assignments, attend class, and do the study guides you'll do well.

She has given me more than enough time to finish my assignments even when I emailed her and asked her to reopen homework and even some tests she would so i could finish. Great teacher, cares about your success. Just communicate with her.

Her lectures are fast and she goes through a lot of information. However the exam reviews are concise and very similar to the tests. A couple days of studying before the exam will get you an easy B. She is sweet and very approachable.

She teaches very fast so if your a fast learner you will succeed. Theres tons of homework and classwork. I like that she gives partial credit on tests just for showing work. On the final you can use one page of notes. Make sure your always in class because each day is a new lesson. Pay close attention or you wont pass.

I took 92S during an exceedingly difficult time in my life, Prof. Hammer was a breath of fresh air in a cruel world. She is uniquely compassionate and I can't say enough good about her. She wants to see you succeed. The online system works well, and guides through questions. A 100% in homework is always possible; question attempts are unlimited.

One of the best teachers Ive ever had. She wants you to succeed. I was worried about taking this class online because I struggle in math but it was better taken online. So many videos explaining everything and you can go at your own pace. If you ever have any questions she emails you back very quickly, even after hours. Highly recommend.

Online class was easy. Homework seems like a lot but its easy because you basically get a 100% since you can miss the question everytime until you get it right except for the test but you get 3 tries to pass the test. Only downside 30% final, basically fail that and u dont pass the class. Final Should be 20% in my opinion.

I took her class in the fall of 2020, her teaching was great especially for an online class. Lectures recorded I fell behind in her class (a month behind) she helped me get back on track and I ended the class with a B. She does give out a lot of hw but it helps learning the material she chooses great problems. I would definitely take her again.

We had zoom lectures in the morning, attendance wasnt required but they ended up being a great start to my day. I appreciated her patience and personality. Made learning math a lot more enjoyable.

Mrs. Hammer is such a caring person and teacher! She adjusted her zoom meetings for when her students could make it. She had zooms everyday and sometimes twice a day. Assignments are on webassign and really easy to follow. Her meetings werent mandatory but youre pretty lost if you dont go. Such a sweet lady. Wish I could take her for calculus.

She really cares about teaching. She was always available to help and made sure that you understood the material. She didnt make her class unnecessarily difficult; she emphasized learning and understanding over just throwing work at her students. I wish all Professors were like her.

There are 4 tests and a final, 12 classwork, 1 hw/chapter. She is caring, wants you to succeed and will do her best to make sure you do. By doing math every day you will master concepts. Online tests are timed but she gives plenty of time. You must upload at end of exams a paper showing your work. I recommend her 100%. You'll love her.

Greatest math prof ever. She cares and will help you every step of the way. Four exams and one final plus daily hw. Knows the subject and doesn't look down on students. Ask questions, you'll be fine, but subject is not easy, it is precal after all! I couldn't recommend her enough and hope to take another math class or two with her.

My favorite math teacher EVER. Everything is well organized. Four 40 min lectures each week (all recorded to watch whenever). Two or three homework assignments per week. Drops the lowest three assignments. Gives automatic extensions. Offers flexible office hours. She wants you to pass and will work with you until you understand the topic.

Cannot give enough praise to her. She is one of the best professors I ever had. Her lectures are extremely informative and easy to follow. She made calc 3 very easy which is not an easy thing to do. Her final had a question worth 20 points asking what was our favorite thing about calc 3 which was supper nice of her.

Probably the best professor I have ever had. Two two hour lectures per week. Three unit tests and one final. About two WebAssign assignments per week and one classwork per week. She always stayed after class to help with homework questions. She goes above and beyond to make the material as clear as possible. Will give extensions if you ask.

Online Corequisite Math Support BSTEM - Her course grading was very straightforward, the school purchased the service that was required to learn which was amazing and very helpful, Professor Hammer would always be open to Zoom if I had any questions.

Prof. Hammer is one of my favorite profs at Delta. She teaches math with so much passion that it becomes so easy to understand. She is also very leniant dropping 3 homework and 3 classwork. She also lets you retake 1 test to get a 70% if you failed it. The tests are also pretty light consisting of only like 10 questions. Enroll in her class!
