Mrs. Herman is probably the best math teacher I have ever had. Math has always been my weakest point, I never liked it. Teachers in the past would just make me dislike it even more. Mrs. Herman is patient, very well spoken, and very professional. I would take a class with her every semester if it were available. We need more teachers like her.

She is very respectful and makes class fun. Gives plenty of opprotunities for extra credit. I would take her class again.

Gives out extra credit, and availability outside the classroom is decent from what I hear even though I didn't need to since the lectures were enough for me to understand the material well. I would highly recommend taking any math course with this professor. She also has a very approachable personality.

Obviously, one must to the work to pass the class and earn a grade, she is not one of those teachers where if you don't do the work she'll offer a large, two week extension. If you payed any bit of attention during high school the work should be a breeze and even if its not she's very helpful and so is her SSS. there is quite a bit of homework in my opinion, and attendance is mandatory. but there are ways to make up lost points. very nice and easy going :)

This course was a live virtual class, you'd think it'd be hard but Professor Herman is one of the most exceptional professors there is. Help was provided when needed always, and although we didn't get to really know each other well, Herman made sure to make everyone feel comfortable and knowledgeable.

Patsy is one of the best math professors at PC. Miss Patsy will take the time to meet with you and make sure you understand the concepts. She gives a lot of extra credit opportunities and makes it almost impossible to fail. As long as you show up and put in the work, you'll pass. She also messages regularly to make sure you're on track & to help.

If you plan on taking MAT 151, take Mrs. Patsy! There is a lot of homework on MOER platform, but if you run into any problems or questions she is willing to help you figure out the problem step-by-step. There is also plenty of extra credit.

She uses the Remind app, I'd send her homework problems at 9 pm and she'd still answer you. Plus the weekends. She is basically 24/7 accessible. Professor Herman is AMAZING. She really cares about her students and will do anything to help you. I am a student athlete, so it was really hard to stay on track and come to ever single class. Professor Herman has so much patience for her student athletes and gives opportunities to make up class time and late work for full credit!

I took professor Hermans online class for spring 2021 Tuesday and Thursdays. This was the one class I enjoyed all semester. If I could take her class again, I would. Many extra credit opportunities, if you finish your lecture videos and homework before Thursday then class attendance is optional. She consistently used remind for announcements.

She really took the time to reach out to me and was quick to respond when I had an issue. Math is not my best subject, but she made it a whole lot easier than I expected.

Professor Herman is hands down the best math professor! She goes out of her way for students to succeed. I reached out to her on a Saturday morning, got ack to me right away and helped me in the evening, who does that on a Saturday. Ms. Herman is a great professor! The work is not too much but it is difficult at times. She really helps you out a lot with the assignments because you can get 100% all the time. Tutoring is also provided so you can really understand the information. I strongly recommend it!!

Ms Patsy Herman is an amazing teacher. Her work is super easy to understand and there are videos provided before you do the problems so you know how to solve them. Make sure to take notes on the problems you do because majority will show up later during tests.

Second time taking professor Herman for different classes and she's great. Class is like any other math course with lots of homework and some difficulty but she gives chances for extra credit and lots of tutoring time for those who need it.

This teacher was so great with making sure that you understood the content, it makes it easier to be inspired by the amount of effort that she puts in when it comes to caring about her students. She was really great and helped me understand concepts in a much more efficient ways( i would know because ive taken this class 2 times already)

She gives late passes if you need extra time and even opened up 2 assignments so I could re do. Extra credit is always available with optional assignments and meetings. It was nice to get the grades so quickly.

Lots of opportunities to make up tests and if you stay on top of everything, you have the potential to not have to take final. Great experience and great teacher, would highly recommend.

I took math several times before without making it past the midterm. I was able to not only pass my midterm but my final as well! Homework and tests were easy to navigate and understand.

Math is a very difficult subject for me, but Patsy was ready to help me every step of the way. The lessons were easy to follow, provided step by step directions, and the test questions came from the homework. When I needed help Patsy was available for personal tutoring, and I really enjoyed meeting with her. Wonderful class, I highly recommend.

Mrs. Herman is definitely one of my favorite teachers. During class, she's always very outgoing and encourages talking to each other to help solve different problems. She responds to messages as quickly as possible and is open to meeting online and in person to help with anything you might be falling behind on or questioning.

I took MAT 225 with her this semester 2023, she is very knowledgeable and easy to approach. Lectures are easy to understand, everything is through canvas. Did use matlab for final project which was neat. Workloads is manageable. No textbook needed although she has an online version.

Prof. Herman is incredible, she's so accessible and always more than willing to help and explain. Even though I had her for an online MAT225 (linear algebra) I felt like I got to work with her a lot. You can clearly tell that she cares about her students. If you put in the work, it is impossible to not understand her class. I would take her again!

It was not only understandable but fun because of Dr Herman. She is beyond patient and caring, and it sincerely made a world of difference in my comfort in the class. The class is objective-based (80% and above means 100 mastery), and the purpose (or at least my takeaway) is to reduce the stress of the course and actually learn instead of memorize.

The instructor is excellent. She creates her own videos, focusing on similar questions that appear on the midterm and final exams. These videos were extremely helpful and made the material easier to understand. I had no issues in her class, and the content provided was very helpful for exam preparation.

I had a great experience with Professor Herman. She cooperated and supported me throughout the course. I recommend this class if you have a tight schedule because she does provide with late passes for the assignments (which has helped me out a lot!). I had a great time in her class :)

I was scared when I saw that the exams were 70% of the grade, but the objective-based testing made it manageable. You get multiple tries to master each concept, and the exam reviews are spot-on. With repetition and trust in the process, I passed with 100%. The professor is amazing—a true hidden gem on campus!

I've had Mrs. Herman since Pre-Calc. She's incredibly patient and caring, which made me feel comfortable in class. Her objective-based grading reduces stress and helps you focus on learning, not memorizing. She's fair on tests and gives chances to correct work. I wish she taught Calc 3!

A couple reasons as to why give ms a Herman 5.0 rating would be solely based off the fact that she is truly caring and comforting. I say this because I could genuinely feel as tho she wanted every student to pass and made sure every student knew what she was teaching. She mad every lecture fun and engaging!
