She's a nice enough prof, but I don't get the classroom method. She is disorganized, the commentary is erratic and largely unnecessary. I can't recommend this prof.

Terrible, no class structure, lectures are just rants that have little to do with HR. Assignment were wasteful and a total grind. Her exams are complete non-sense long answer question that are based solely in opinion and are impossible to prepare for.

Useless class. Patricia is sweet but beyond disorganized. Literally have no take aways from the class as the course material was largely taught to us by our peers throughout the semester via one of her horrible projects. She isn't an easy marker at all and she lacks in her ability to communicate expectations. Wish I had taken it with someone else.

In my opinion, one of the worst profs at MRU! She is the toughest grader for a course that should be relatively straightforward. She will take off marks without an explanation. Doesn't rely on the TB but uses her class notes, which are SO disorganized and unreadable. Lectures are long and pointless. Take this course with anyone else!! TRUST ME!!!

As others have stated, Pat is caring and means well, but her teaching style is awful. She walks around the class asking questions before actually teaching the material. She is also a hard marker which is a bummer if you're taking her course as an junior elective like I was. I think this is mostly because she is unclear with her expectations.

Patricia is extremely sweet and she definitely means well, but she frequently paces around the class asking questions about the current chapter before teaching it. This happens enough to detract from the quality and volume of actual lecture material. The multiple choice is vague and challenging, would not recommend her for 2170.

In my opinion, Patricia is the worse professor at MRU. No point in going to her class as she just gets distracted majority of the time and sometimes I'd have no clue of what she'd be talking about. She doesn't seem to care about her students and she's a tough grader as she looks for certain words to give marks for, she wont even give part marks.

I'm an A student, BUT Patricia made it impossible to understand any concepts. Her classes were very disorganized - no lectures, it was just her asking questions - and that's ALL. I did not learn anything in her class and I feel that it was a total waste of money! Would never recommend her to anyone. PLEASE do yourself a favor and stay away from her

Avoid her. Majority of the time all she does is ask questions without even teaching the material. On exams they're material we never went through in class, nor does she provide details on which chapters it will be on. If you do end up with her, just study the book and hope for the best.

Tough Marker.

I can't understand anything during our lectures. She repeats the same thing over and over again which makes it tiring for us to understand the lecture. It'd be better to have a prerecorded lecture so we can go back to the past lessons. But on her class we don't have one.

Avoid taking this class with Patricia. Her lectures are not structured in the slightest and wastes a lot of time talking about things that aren't relevant to the lecture. She spends more time picking on students to answer questions than actually teaching. Also not clear about what she expects for the group project and changes her mind often.

Never ever take this prof!!!! I had to take this class since I needed it. I checked her rate my prof ratings and it was bad but I still went through it and say "maybe ill do well if I work hard", no you won't! Online classes with her will never get you an A or even B. SHe does not record her class or even puts up a PowerPoint/slides for lectures.

Avoid this prof at all costs!!!! She rambles on the entire class and calls on students with questions to things she hasnt even taught yet. There is really no teaching that takes place during the class, so if you want any knowledge of HR youre better off just reading the entire textbook and teaching yourself. Tests are also hard!

If you take Patrica as a prof be aware of getting marked hard on your discussion boards. It's not really a discussion board to her, It turns out to be mini-essays that you have to write. The midterm was a joke and is very nitpicky with what she wants on the written part. If you have the opportunity to not take Patricia please don't get her.

Patricia failed in every avenue as a professor. Instead of actually teaching anything useful during lectures, she prefers to ramble while also picking on students to answer for a uncomfortable amount of time. Cant seem to read chat either. Her quizes and tests are unfair, which is worsened by the fact that the study guides she gives

I advise you to stay away from Patricia as she makes the class 1000 times harder then it needs to be. Constantly asking questions, tough marker, and long and boring lectures that are never recorded. Tests with her are a nightmare as she gives you little to no time to do a case study and mc questions. Terrible class. never take her class trust me

Unwilling to hear student concerns, unorganized classes and repeats the same content every lecture. Easier to learn content on your own than in class.

She rambles the entire class it’s very unorganized and a waste of time to go. Her marking does not make sense she constantly says she wants students to get an A but takes off huge marks for little things. Easy class in general but she’s a weirdo never sent out one email the entire semester

Her lectures are very hard to listen to she just rambles and asks the same questions over and over. She gives out 8 page guidelines for papers that you have to follow word for word. I found her feedback never made sense she would say I missed things that were in the paper

I would mute her voice and turn on captions cause i could NOT stand her voice. rip if u have a mac and are unable to convert ur files to a word file cuz she'll take lots of marks off. very hard tests with little time. course load is heavy, do a lot of studying to succeed.

DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS.Lectures are UNBEARABLE and continuously tries to make points but never finishes the thought, making it difficult to keep up. Participation is important that she forces individual's in the class to answer her questions, definitely don't take if you have social anxiety. Worst at responding emails, if you get a response...

Patricia had poor lectures and calls students out in class. Everyone I knew in the class received the exact same grade on the assignments and tests and it showed that her marking was very inaccurate.

Patricia wants her students to succeed but doesn't set them up for success. She rambles during lectures which makes it hard to follow. You ask her to give more explicit instructions on assignments, she tells you to read the outline, then gives you feedback on the assignment stating to follow the instructions. Her grading is also all over the place.

I have only just started this class, but the prof is already awful. She goes on rambling tangents, and grills students to participate in class. There are tons of spelling mistakes in the syllabus and the quizes which makes reading them a slog. Take any class except the one Patricia Hull is teaching.

She's by far the worst prof I've had so far at MRU. She's a tough grader, super boring lecturer, doesn't respond to emails. Really horrible overall experience.

This is the worst professor Ive ever had in my life. She rambles on in lectures and never can complete her thought. She will ask students questions they wont even know the answer to, and she will push until they guess. Her lectures are useless, confusing, and you will not learn one thing from her. Im convinced the class is an experiment on students

This is by far the worst prof I have encountered at mount royal in my three years of being here. She grades incredibly hard for such an easy class. She also makes the curriculum a lot more difficult compared to the other sections. If you care about your mental health, avoid this prof at all costs.

I was going to wait until I finished the semester but imma write it now cuz I'm already not liking her. She doesn't speak clearly in class and mumbles way too much, her instructions on assignments are not clear at all and she frankly acts like a know it all. Don't take her lesson unless u wanna be pissed off at the end of every class.

It's halfway through the semester and i dont even know which chapter we at coz she doesnt follow the outline/her powerpoint presentation.

I was very disappointed in this professor. If you can avoid it I would definitely not take her class. She is old and accidentally gave us the same lesson twice in a row. She doesn't know how to use D2L so it is very difficult to follow the class. She gives terrible feedback and does not answer questions well at all. She also grades hard.

Patricia seems kind but she should not be teaching. She is very old and doesn't seem to understand a lot. She doesn't know how to use d2l and the course is all over the place. My class mates and I don't even know what chapter we're on. After a couple months most students stopped attending classes. Hard marker!!

Patricia is not a good teacher. She does not know how to do her job properly and is unprofessional more than half of the time. Her grading criteria is not clear, rubrics are rarely provided, lectures are filled with useless information. She makes the course more difficult and time consuming than it needs to be. Do not take a class with her.

Super hard markers for absolutely no reason. Her feedback on papers make literally no sense where she says you didn't mention something, but you clearly did. She is a kind person but terrible marker.

I advise highly not to take mgmt2130 with her. She is very inconsiderate and provides poor feedback. The grading is absolutely ridicoulous as she provides generic feedback to all her students and takes off marks just on assumption and not looking at your essay. She also forgets a lot and mentions important details last minute. Very useless course.

Patricia was one of the worst professors I have ever had. She was always all over the place and rambles off topic constantly, making her so difficult to listen to. Her grading feedback makes no sense and doesn't line up with what she asks. She says she will post things or email you but always forgets and is hard to reach. Needs to retire.

I should have read the ratings before taking her class! As others previously stated she is all over the place, puts students on the spot when looking for answers by standing in front of them or pointing at them making it awkward, is a tough grader, hard to reach and forgetful. She is a nice person but not a great teacher honestly.

She did not do a good job at reviewing the concepts towards the last half of the class for the final exam and she didn't exactly tell us what the concepts would include. She did gives us good guidance for the midterm. She also graded one of my papers and said I didn't cite or use the textbook even though I did and I cited it.

While she's nice enough, she just isn't the best instructor. She only very briefly touches on topics in PowerPoint form and it's not very engaging, especially because she rarely stays on-topic. She expects participation in the class and will pick on you to answer questions which can becoming irritating.

You will be teaching this course to yourself. the slides she uses have typos. She likes to quiz her students by pointing at them and asking questions on the topic of the chapter but hasn't gone over said chapter. Patricia lost my final exam & tried to give me a F. it was a long process & I never want to see this grimlin again

Do not take HR or Management with this professor please.

Patricia is a nice lady but is all over the place. She rambles on before class starts. She heavily relies on student participation and will pick on students to answer and will say they're wrong. She is so unorganized, assigning projects with no notice, and gives outlines late. She would also ask for feedback only to disregard and make excuses.

Patricia is a kind person, but as a professor, her style of teaching and engaging with students is outdated;she is very commonly rude to students, and it comes off indirectly, but she will point out anything,even if you're eating a snack that isn't the healthiest(she was a former dietitian).Went to the Chair due to her poor teaching/problem-solving

The most difficult review I will ever have to make. Patricia isn't a bad person, but is VERY outdated. Hardest marker I've ever had, you'll never get a high mark as there's ALWAYS something missing, and things that she TOLD us to do on our assignments are then docked off marks.The exams are also insane (final had 64 questions)! It's a patience test
