Professor Hulsen was the best math teacher I have EVER had. She was easy to understand and more than willing to offer extra help if you needed it.

She was extremely helpful and explained everything thoroughly. She made sure everyone had a very clear understanding of the concepts before moving on. She offered help any time you would need it. I wish I had her for MOD 3 & 4.

I had her for Mod 3&4 and loved her so much that I took her for PreCalc too. She is the reason I passed any math classes. She is sooooooo helpful!! She will take as long as you need to explain things to you. Very sweet and understanding! If you want to do well in math take Patti, she is GREAT!!!

She is the best math teacher I have ever had. She is so helpful and caring teacher and person. She teaches so clearly and explains everything very throughly. She never makes you feel stupid, and always gives you credit when credit is due. She gives a lot of quizzes, so be prepared.

Awesome teacher, she was able to help me understand concepts I should have learned in highschool. Definitely take her if you really want to learn the material and understand it.

Excellent teacher. I'm so lucky to have her for PreCalc I. She actually spends her lectures on concepts, and helping you understand the concepts. I failed PreCalc last semester,had a lousy teacher. The time actually fly's in her class. I can't believe she has made math interesting to me.

i had her for precalc. very nice woman and excellent teacher as well. i was always the worst in math and now i have an A. its a tough class, be ready to put in some study time but she is always willing to bend her schedule to help you out when youre struggling. def take her class

She is a great teacher. She is very clear in her explination although Mod 4 was hard for me she was much more clear then other teachers i have had. Doesnt mind re explaining things untill you really understadnt. I recommend taking her if you can.

Amazing professor! take her! explain everything crystal clear! take time with you if you don't understand! she also meet with you before or after class if you need help! a lot quizes that helps in the grade! do you homework ,come to class and you get an A!

Had her for Quantitative Lit in Fall 2010 semester. She is awesome! Made the class fun and interesting. Also doesn't mind going over things until you understand it. I recommend anyone who has trouble with Math take her class. You won't be sorry.

Professor Hulsen goes above and beyond to help you pass this class. She does whatever she can do. She is a great teacher when explaining to get you to understand the problems. She gets back to you quickly with any questions you have when at home. If you have a hard time with math, I would highly recommend taking her classes.

All I can really say, is that she a great professor and most helpful then anyone i have ever taken a class with at RVCC. She will do anything to help you pass the class. i recommend her for any class that she teaches!!! TAKE HER !!! LOL

GREAT professor. Actually explains the whole concept. If you're like me and stink at math...you will definitely do well in her class as long as you pay attention,. She makes sure all her students participate,which is great! She's very kind and cooperative!!! :D Definitely will take her again. I reccommend her strongly!!!

This was my first college math class, and I found it VERY easy. It might have been because I had learned all of the material prior, but the professor was still really good at explaining things.

I took Precalc I with this professor, and this class was definitely harder, but it was still manageable.

She is absolutely amazing, she goes the extra mile to make you successful. I am not great at math and she was patient and helped me a lot, I was about to fail the class but she did not give up on me and I ended up passing. So I highly recommend her.

Patti is very pasionate about math and it shows in her teaching ability/willingness to explain things and at a laymens level. She brings a lot of energy to the course and I was very pleased with her. Very bubblyh personality, always happy and goes out of her way to explain things in a manner that you can understand. The best math teacher at RVCC.

Proffesor Hulsen is the best math teacher you can have. Shes very helpful to help her students succeed and she teaches the material that is taught. Also, she offers extra help that not a lot of professor would even offer. I took her class in the spring semester of 2014 and I succeed. I highly recommend taking her class. :)

She is exactly what I want in a professor. She is very specific in what's required to do well in her class, makes extra effort to be sure her students understand the concepts, reminds the class repeatedly about what's coming up on the schedule, does thorough test reviews prior to every test, and has reasonable expectations for the amount of work.

This Instructor take her time until you get a problem. She really wants the students to learn as much as they can before they leave her class. She also goes over every single detail and chapter a student might need help on. If your planning to take math with her, Take it. Dont even think twice about it.

Prof Hulsen knows what shes talking about and obviously loves what she teaches. She will not only explain how, she will explain why (which for me is helpful, especially in math) She gives a variety of assignments and offers a good amount of office hours. She really quirky (in the best way) and easy to talk to and will help you with any questions.

She is a very great teacher. Very caring and explains every lecture clearly. She also gives extra time to finish MLP. She also gives a review sheet to study and practice before each chapter test. I RECOMMEND HER! You need the worksheets book in her class.

She's a bit quirky but her teaching is phenomenal, she actually made math fun and had no problem helping anyone and answering questions. Quick grader, also gave partial credit which helped so much, and she was always replied to emails ASAP

I was so happy to take Professor Hulsen for another math course this semester! I took her for technical math and it was such an easy course!! Only 5 projects that werent too bad, 3 tests that came straight from her review problems, and some homework. She is the nicest and helpful professor ever!! Im so glad that I took her for math. Patti is a lovely professor who runs a great Quantatative Reasoning course. If familiar with material already, class can get boring, but Patti does her best to be engaging in a class with content familiarity across the spectrum. Her class is fun, easy if you put in any effort, and she will do everything she can to help you. Awesome professor!

Easily the best professor RVCC has and I'm graduating this semester so I've seen plenty of them. You can tell professor Hulsen enjoys teaching the course. Offers extra credit on all the tests. No homework, except for labs (1 each chapter). Amazing at teaching and answering questions. She will work her schedule around to meet on your time.

Professor Hulsen genuinely cares about her students. She treats you like family and wants you to succeed. I can safely say I've never been good at math, but she helped that immensely. I had Hulsen for Precalc 1. I've always been awful at math and was scared I was gonna fail another math course. Hulsen is the ONE teacher I have ever had that genuinely taught me in a way that I understood math! She is so kind and caring and just wants her students to learn and pass. If you're bad at math, take her course. She's absolutely amazing.

Professor Hulsen is a great Professor. She often tries to have discussions with us students often and relates to us. She also gave us the opportunity to attend office hours and ask questions and even responds to emails quickly . We all learn a lot from her class because of her hard work and her experience. She is a wonderful professor by far.

Prof. Hulsen is a true gem. She is so bubbly and she makes you wanna smile, even through her mask. She takes her time with lectures, is understanding of any situation, and is super caring. She is especially good at making something you thought was hard come off as stupidly easy, without making you feel stupid at all. PLEASE take her if you can :D

Professor Hulsen is great! I really appreciated how accessible she was outside of class. She also responds to emails in a timely manner. She made sure we understood the material before she moved on and always gave us the chance to ask questions. She made me love math again! I would definitely take her class again!

Easily one of the best professors I've ever had. She replies to emails quickly and is always welcoming students in for office hours. One of the few math professors I've had that cares if you pass. She won't move on until everyone understands. Doesn't use the textbook much. As long as you show up and put in the work she'll meet you halfway.

She was very respectful and caring toward students and would answer all questions but lecture a lot and try to get feedback. She would usually take attendance but gave a decent chunk of homework to do.

Had Professor Hulsen for Intermediate Algebra, and absolutely loved the class. Taught everything exceptionally well, great reviews and generally a bright soul. Recommend her and looking forward to taking further classes she offers.

I had her for intermediate algebra. She is an amazing teacher and taught the material so well. I struggle in math but i was able to have a high average the entire semester because of her. She is very helpful and definitely recommend her.

Professor Hulsen is so kind and teaches the material very well. She makes sure that every student understands the material before she moves on. The labs that are assigned are just like the exams. I took this class in high school and did very poorly, but Professor Hulsen explained the material very clearly which helped me get A's on the exams.

Professor Hulsen makes math fun and so much easier to understand. Before this class, I didn't understand how variables work. Now, I'm able to solve many different things algebraically. I highly recommend her to anyone who needs to take a math course that she offers.

Lectures can be very boring and she does move at an extremely slow pace which may be good for some people but at many times can be very frustrating. The workload is not very heavy in terms of difficulty but can seem like a lot. She can be a generous grader at times on tests.

If you have to take Elementary alegbra. I highly recommed professor Hulsen. Out of all the other professor's that teach this course she is one of the best. She explains the material clearly, exams are easy, and you can tell that she really loves teaching this course. I wish she taught more math classes at RVCC. She is one of a kind.

As I did not do well in Math 112 because I did not comprehend Precalculus well (retaking next semester), Professor Hulsen was by far one of the best and "mom-type" professors. She has a heart for her students unlike most professors. Unfortunately she is retiring but I am glad to have had her as a professor before her retirement. God-bless her.

Professor Hulsen makes sure to explain all the materials in class several times, she will help with whatever a student asks, and she will encourage people to go to extra help. She taught her class extremely well and if I were ever confused, she would be happy to help. She absolutely is the best professor if you're going into Precalculus 1.

Professor Hulsen was a great teacher for precalc. She always encouraged people to ask questions if they were lost, and her lecture notes were posted for people to follow along in class. I don't enjoy math but she made the experience bearable and helped me pay attention. She cares for her students and wants them to succeed.
