Prof. K is awesome! She's laid back and understands that "life happens" but definitely makes you learn the material. She's full of helpful tips, and makes learning easy. FCOL we learned the entire history of education, a bunch of educational psychology, and figured out our philosophy of education. and enjoyed the process.

I just found out that Prof. K is teaching Statistics this semester! Before Prof K was teaching psych courses she was tutoring statistics in the tutoring center & she taught me everything in Stats 1 & 2. Thanks to her i pulled off a B- in Stats 1 & an A in Stats 2. Prof. Kiernan is a wonderful professor. She will do whatever it takes to make sure you succeed as long as you show up to class and do the homework assignments. She gives out plenty of opportunities for extra credit. She wants everyone to do well. Overall, she's an amazing professor.

The rumors are true! Prof. K is awesome! In one day you will learn more than an entire semester's worth of what you can from any other teacher. She is gifted and can explain math in ENGLISH!

Prof K made math doable. She speaks english & has a sense of humor. Shes got tons of examples on her website & her notes. Her final is hard, but she lets u bring some note sheets so its not 2 bad, come prepd & youll be surprized w/a good grade. She tells you what you need to do to get the grade you want, and grades everything with partial credit.

I took 2 other stats classes before finding prof. k. She explained stats in English. I learned more in one day than in a year in other classes. She gives out her notes and lets you use 4 note sheets on the final! Take her if you want to learn why you're doing the math instead of just doing the math without knowing why.

Don't take her Psych class if you want an easy A! She gives out a ton of work! 14 take home tests, 7 essays, and a 2 part research project. She's not an easy A but makes it so almost everyone can pass with a C. I pulled off a B and actually learned a bunch of info on psychology.

great professor, but stats is a hard class. Shes very relaxed and believes you can do this, but this class is not an easy A. I thought I was going to get a D but did enough extra credit to get a C (the extra credit wasn't easy either). I really have gotten a lot of out this course. Prof. K has always made herself available to all students and never gets frustrated at questions. She was very accommodating. You work on problems (that look really hard (but arent) in groups while she helps you understand waht's going on. If you miss watching one of the homework videos you're screwed.

If you want to get through a math class without pulling your hair out, Prof. K is the person to take. She gives a bunch of work, but will help you at any time (uses snapchat to help during late nights), has fast response times, and gives extensions. she made Stats easy! all you need to do is GO TO CLASS, WATCH her VIDEOS, and USE YOUR CALCULATOR.

Gives a ton work and exams aren't worth much. DONT TAKE HER IF YOU ARE A SLACKER! Leave your seat open for someone who really appreciates her low test anxiety methods. If you have test anxiety she's Mary Poppins.

If you miss ONE class you're screwed. Gave about 5 hours of homework per class, and doesn't give extra credit. But in the end you learn a ton and IF you pass you're ready for any next course you need to take.

You watch videos with problems for homework and in class you work on problems in groups and she answers every question you have when you're doing the work so you don't waste time struggling without help and you work in class at your own pace. Exams are only hard if you miss class, or don't take notes on the homework videos.

Best professor I've ever had in my collegiate career. Took her for Calc 1 during the summer 2 session as a visiting student. Needed to pass the class and she made Calc extremely understanding for everyone in the class. If you put in the effort, she will make sure you pass. Definitely recommend.

She was amazing. I thought I was going to struggle in this class, but I was one of the top students and helped others. She has videos online videos and goes over them in class. She gives great help. 11/10 would recommend.

Best Professor at MCC! Prof. K gave 6 take home quizzes, a research project and the easiest final I've ever taken! She explains everything, and shows you how to do the entire project in the video, and all you need to know how to do is read a word problem and put the numbers into a computer or a graphing calculator.

Tells you exactly what you need to do and how to do it. The math looks more complex as the course goes on but its all job security... all you really need to know is when the p-value is low reject Ho, the calculator does the rest of the math for you.

Watch her homework videos and take notes on them, she'll let you use notes on the exam. The take home quizzes have unlimited tries and she's very chill.

Prof. K doesn't play games with your grade. She tells you how many points you need to earn the grade you want and made it so I could earn my first A in a math class ever! She is very caring and helpful and wants her students to succeed. she is up to date with canvas and makes everything so easy for her students. she even makes youtube videos for her lectures incase you missed any. Professor K has a system to teach you statistics. She walks with you through the process of understanding and learning the material. Complete all of the homework and seek help with her if you need it. Prof. K makes the material easy to understand but don't be fooled she makes you work for your grade and exams are not that easy. She might look tough at the beginning but she's a very nice teacher. Gives tons of extra credits, an average of 4 extra credit (easy level) questions on the tests. Her lectures are easy and understandable. I had a very difficult time with my other Math professors but she makes Math look very easy. Ask her questions during class, she likes that.

Prof. K is a real gem. I was always afraid of Calculus but her teaching style and attitude really got through to me. I actually learned the Calc material well and gained general positivity in my attitude from being around her. You will learn that she drills this idea "You Can Do This!" Directly into your subconscious mind until it's fully wired in.

I hate math, & I aced this class because Prof. K. Take notes on the SHORT video lectures and check your answers on any work questions on tests are like the homework and the videos. If you have a question ask, you'll get a video explanation of where you went wrong & how to avoid doing it on the exams.

Prof. K legit is super chill UNLESS you cheat. If you are caught cheating Prof. K will put it on your record! But you can bring your notes AND a calculator to the Exams, so don't copy off anyone (including their notes) and its an EASY A. Exams are exactly like the questions in class and on videos so don't forget to bring your notes to the exam.

Professor Kiernan is the best math professor I have had so far at MCC. She wants her students to get the best grade possible. She is always finding ways to help her class. If you need help she will message you back pretty quickly. So many extra credits in case you bombed tests or quizzes. Great Professor!

Prof Kiernan was one of the most amazing teachers that I've had at MCC. Especially in these times, Prof. K really made the effort to help whenever needed. They truly are an amazing person. The zoom calls aren't mandatory to go to live, but make sure you watch them and take notes, and you'll be good to go.

I had professor Kiernan for an online class where attendance was optional and they recorded the lessons and posted them. She goes into depth with the lessons and gives a lot of examples. I bombed the first exam (completely my fault) we then zoomed and went over the test and I got points back. there's also so many extra credit opportunities.

EVEN THO IT WAS ONLINE, SHE PUTS A LOT OF EFFORTS AND TRY TO HELP US. THE BEST PROFESSOR!!!!! HIGHILY RECOMMEND

Absolutely best teacher I've had so far! Super caring and emails even outside of hours! Online was super helpful and she made sure to let us know she had faith in us! I usually struggle with math but Prof. K definitely helped out and made it a lot easier! Willing to go above and beyond with us! Would take again within a heartbeat.

Professor K allows bringing one double side note to your exam and unlimited attempts on your quiz. If you study hard it will be easy for you to pass.

I hate precalcus with a passion. This professor has made it as tolerable as it gets. Understanding, helpful, clear cut instructions and guidance. More then fair exams, helpful videos AND went out of her way to create an entire booklet for labs in a manual for you. That is obviously someone going the extra mile to do their best to make sure you pass

She makes everything sounds so interesting and easy that you actually feel like doing it. I've always struggles with math's but I can say without a doubt that she will always be there to help you out whenever you need. She makes sure you get a good grade, and you actually succeed in her class. Take it please for her online.

Prof. K makes stats engaging with her detailed lessons and plenty of practice. Attendance is a must, but the extra credit and study tools like Unstuck study really help. Overall, a challenging but rewarding course.

Loved their class! I got a C but that was on me to be honest. Their lectures are amazing and they give you videos before the class to get a better understanding.

tbh I thought about dropping out of Prof Kiernan's class when I received my first score, but she encouraged me and is extremely helpful. I'm glad I didn't. I worked hard with Prof Kiernan's help as math does not come easy to me. Be ready to work and take good notes for your tests. I received an A-

Don't hesitate and take Prof K. I can say without a doubt that Prof K is the greatest math professor at Middlesex College. Prof K's effort for student success shouldn't go unknown Prof K is not just a great professor but a great person! Prof K has ability to make math interesting and enjoyable for all MCC is lucky to have Prof K. You can do this!!

Prof K! Best Professor. I brag about prof K till this day. I was never good at math until this class. I test with accommodations and i didn't even need my extra time. She will not let you fail or go on if you are confused. Any reason you won't do well in this class will 100% be your own fault by not showing up. I'll remember Prof K forever.

I'm very lucky to have taken Prof K's course as my first college course. They were extremely kind, understanding and patient. Expectations were clearly set and there were many opportunities for extra credit. Thank you for making this class special for me. -Ben

Prof. K. is the GOAT! Just get the calculator (or borrow one from the library) and you'll be fine. Prof. K has unlimited attempts at quizzes, and the project. She tells you exactly what you need to do if you want an A. Don't sleep on the extra credit assignment amnesty days, especially if you mess up on an exam.

the goat. Make sure u do the hw videos, because the pop quizzes are literally the hw videos. All u really gotta do is take pics of em and ur good. very goated prof, gives a lot of extra credit opportunities.

PT1: Man I love Professor Kiernan. Right off the bat she sends one message to you: "I want to see you succeed". If you fail this class it's your fault, her class is the easiest Calculus is gonna get. Pop quizzes are based of the videos she posts, most quizzes are take home, only two in person from what I can remember

PT2: A couple weeks before the final exam she gave us these two packets. Those packets are basically the twins to the final exam. When I was taking the final I wanted to cry tears of joy like thank god I studied those packets lol. Her breath kind of stinks though I'm just gonna be honest. Funny and relatable, empathetic. Uses her own textbook.
