She is a funny woman who will keep you entertained and teach the text. But, she does find it necessary to give her opinion on EVERYTHING and often has the tendency to drift from the topic at hand! But the class was easy and fun! I would take it again.

Funny teacher; tends to get off the topic a lot. she was a fair grader, though, and I would recommend her to anyone.

Easy A for some, difficult for others, but off the wall teacher. She thinks she knows everything and isnt much help. There is alot of work involved and she doesnt explain anything and she never follows the study guide.Take this class only if you can do alot of work with no help.

She does go off on her personal life a lot, which causes her to go over the class time. You also have to find your own practicum, and the majority of schools won't take you, unless they have worked with HFCC before. If you want a bachelors, just transfer.

I took this proff. 2wice and she was the best. She is a fun and funny teacher. She talks about her daughter alot but I dont think anything is wrong with that. She is very helpfull and serious when needed to be. I highly reccomend this teacher is a easy A. And you will have a blast in her class.

She wants you to succeed in her class and makes it very possible to do so. Main complaint is that you don't get your work back right away, but she makes the class interesting.

I personally liked this professor. She does talk about her personal life, but that is in relation to pschology and or classroom topics. Very interesting course. Would take it again if I have to!!

She gives alot of homework, but you learn about different areas of education from it. She relates theory to examples. Lots of fun discussion!

In lectures she gives plenty of personal examples, and you're tested on theoretical examples. She makes the class enjoyable and if you read a little, you'll do just fine.

Great professor.. she explains everything well, goes over what you need to study, gives real-life situations and past experiences. Loved listening to all her lectures. Recommended!

This teacher was very good. I enjoyed taking her class. You will learn and it is easy. This is one of the few teachers that actually cares about her students. She is fun and funny and knows about psychology. She gives a lot of work but it's easy, and she is willing to work with you whenever possible.

This was a great class for future teachers. You learn alot about psychology and children. You are required to do alot of reading but the reading is practical and useful. I learned so uch that I find myself referring to things I learned daily because I work with cildren. If you want to learn about teaching experiences, take Ms. Lanzon.

fun class. a lot of reading and thats about it. she gives great notes and is a really fun teacher to listen to. she talks a lot about her life and family and is real laid back. but you learn all you need to pass the final and that is great. she made psy a great subject to learn

She is very nice. The only homework she useally assigned is the readings. She is very cool and has a wonderful sense of humor she always finds a way to tie her family into her teaching which is great. i would recomend anybody to take her class as a matter of fact im trying to get back into her class next semester

P. Lanzon is a great person over all. The work was a lot and took a lot of studying. When i took her class, i had two deaths in my family and she was not only understanding but gave me good advice. Love this teacher!!!!

I love this class. I took it online. You read a chap a week, post a discussion question answer and an answer to another person's posting and do a critical thinking question too. Ibe test per chapter. I learned a lot and I loved reading the textbook. Very well written. Mrs. Lanzon is very nice as well. I wish I could've been in class with her.

Awesome! Has alot of experience with teaching and learning.

Very fun and friendly, but disorganized at times. Sometimes she spends more time talking and joking than actually teaching. Other than that, she is great.

omg she is my fav. teacher ever.shes so down to earth and reminds you of a crazy aunt.she teaches really well and you have a lot of take home tests so that helps your grade.the final is hard but she doesnt make it the department does.take her!!!you'll love her.

Ms. Lanzon was a great teacher. I took her class on-line but had to contact her a few times via her cell phone. A little disorganized sometimes, but easy to talk to and responds quickly to your questions. I found her very laid back and very easy to talk to. She has an open mind and willing to listen to your opinion. I would take her again!

This class is a waste of time. If you want to be in a class where all you do is listen to someone talk about their life story, and learn nothing at all, then this would be the class for you. Also, her lectures are no help for the tests, because she doesn't discuss important things, but rather go off on a tangent and end up telling some story.

Loved the class, and the discussions. Tests are hard, not a lot of the material was covered in class. She's willing to help you out if you have a problem. She's also super nice and fun.

PSY 256/294-Easiest class I ever took. There's over 1,000 possible points that you can get in the class so its really easy to get an A. LOTS of extra credit. She gave out two extra credit quizes (worth 20 points each) and the final was optional to do and it was a 100 points EXTRA CREDIT (IT WAS A TAKE HOME FINAL!)TAKE HER!

She is a very good teacher. I have psych 131 online. She is very understanding if you can not get the homework turned in on the due date. You MUST take the take by the due date or you can not make it up. Test are HARD. Read the book and take really good notes and I suppose that will help. I didnt read the book that much and thats why I didnt get A.

Yes she is a hard teacher, but she is also an amzing teacher. If you say she is hard and not to take her thats only because you don't want to challenge yourself and shouldn't be in college. Amazing teacher! take her

Took Psy 131 online and I had the oppurtunity to meet her and she is a great person to know. Treat her good and she"ll return the favors. There was an exam every week but it was easy and she gave everyone more than enough helpful tools to pass the exams. If your looking to do no work at all dont take any core classes then!!! But you have 2...DUH

People say its hard. They make it hard. You have to read, read, and read. I am taking the online and have a whole week to read a chapter and take the test. She does make the test challenging by not just asking definitions. It's college people, it is not middle school.

VERY smart and funny, she might get off topic for a while but there funny stories..Her exams are really hard but hey what exam isnt i mean its college..but the most important thing you have to know about that class is that YOU HAVE TO READ THE BOOK, the book will make you pass the class..I recommend her

She's hard. You have to read the book and attend the class. It seems like you won't survive her class, but what you learn is so helpful. If you can avoid it don't take her twice in a semester. You will die. Her tests are difficult, but do well on everything else and you'll do well. She knows her stuff and she's good. I learned a lot.

Again she's hard and you have to go to class and participate. Don't take her twice in one semester if you can help it. You'll learn a lot though. I'm glad I had her.

Excellent teacher. Deals well with unmotivated students. Is patient with students who don't deserve it. Will tell a student no after she has given them a lot of lead way with late assignments.

Miss Lanzon is a very informative teacher. She is well informed on the subject matter and will offer extra assistance to those who ask for it. The tests are challenging because they are written at a college level which is what she is teaching. If you are a motivated student, read the text book, and deticated time for the class you will do fine.

Shes amazing! She knows what shes talking about, and although she can get off subjct really quickly, she has a lot of information. She does grade hard, but there are so many points in there, it all adds up. After taking her, and transfered to a university, my classes were a piece of cake! I highly reccommend taking her!

She will talk off topic A LOT but will connect it to the topic I PROMISE! Read and participate in class and you wont fail. She is blunt and straight forward but if she sees you tried you wont fail. Just read and listen!

At first all Lanzon did was stress me out. It is very overwhelming to have her twice in one day. But let me tell you it is worth it. I learned a lot and I am totally prepared for my transfer to U of M! Take her and you will know your stuff!

she is a great teacher but the class requirment mostly fit students with no or little responsiblity , older students with part or full time job and children , it hard for you to fit two classes in one semster , there are alot of writing in detils,i wish if she make them shorter that way we can focuse on them more . but she is one of the kind .

I LOVE MS. LANZON. This is not an easy A, you do have to put in the effort but she gives you powerpoints and a study guide. She really takes an intrest in her students and her goal is to prepare you for the Education field. Not one bad thing about her. This is my 2nd class with her and cant wait to take exceptional child. Absolutely recommend her.

I have a bachelors degree from Eastern and about to get another associates at Eastern. I have had so many professors in the last 10 years and she is the BEST! You work hard but she is an exceptional teacher and she has well prepared me for a career in teaching. I loved her and enjoyed her class!! Read and study hard!

At first i was terrified of her class. I actually have educational background and was very intimated by the class. Soon enough though i regained my confidence.

I really can't thank Ms. Lanzon enough for such a productive semester. she is a TEACHER. She makes sure that you learn. What I liked also is that she prepares you for University life. She's the most understanding teacher I've ever met. Tests are not easy but they're portion of the final grade. You need to put enough time and effort for her class.

You will enjoy her class. materials are hard but she makes it so easy to memorize. do all of your work get a minimum of 65% on your tests you will get an A. it is not hard at all! i got As on both classes- EDU 201 and PSY 256

Ms Lanzon is a high qualified teacher and you learn a lot from her classes. I took all of her classes and never had an issue not understanding. She prepares students with all the tools needed for their profession as teacher. Every single assignment is intended to elevate your knowledge in the field and especially for the basic skill test.

Tough tests are my only complaint. Some times she becomes a bit of a story teller but I can't thank her enough for all the extra work and effort she put in. I now am I preferred sub at the school I did my edu 202 at because she prepared me for this.

Really great, happy, smiling professor who you can tell loves her job. Test are incredibly difficult, but she always pushes you to do better, and helps you to do it.

she goes off topic so much while explaining lesson. her classes are interesting but the tests she gives are barely covered during discussion. her tests are so so hard. Dont even bother taking the class if you dont like reading

She's the only teacher for this class. She's tough but she is very cool. Just don't come to play around.

I took Psy 265 in the spring and I could say she is highly educated and always inspires students to be successful in their lives. Beware! you have to read alot and write alot

Dr. Lanzon is a awesome! If you are interested in teaching she's a great mentor. Bad reviews are from those who are immature students. If you need a teacher to teach you out of the text than do not take her. As an adult you should be able to read text at home and then be mentored during class. She is extremely kind and a great lady to know.

You work for your grade, but it is worth it. She is fun to listen to, even though she brags about her PHD a lot.

lanzon does tend to get off topic a lot but she's a really sweet lady. Gives a lot of extra credit opportunities and is not a tough grader. she lets you use a cheat sheet for tests and gives you a study guide which is basically the test. i enjoyed coming to class everyday and learned a lot from her and am taking her again for psy 256 in the spring.

Love this professor! Best teacher I've ever had at HFC. You can tell that she really cares for all her students. Such a sweet lady. Gives a lot of extra credit so there's no reason why anyone should get anything less then an A. I loved coming to class and listening to all the stories she had to tell and the class discussions we had. Would recommend

A wonderful professor, who not only works hard, but is fair to her students. She legitimately cares, she is helpful and will work with you. She is incredibly smart and a good mentor, she will teach you a lot about not only psychology and Pre-Education, but life in general.

You have to read to pass her test, even when you do read it's still very hard. Even if you don't do well on the test she gives out so much extra credit to make up for it. She's a great teacher and expresses the material needed. The only con I would say about this professor is she is unorganized and always behind.

She is absolutely wonderful highly respected and very respectful to her students she is very caring and she wants you to pass with the highest scores!! Do not take her class if you are not serious about getting your degree!! She is the BEST Instructor hands down!!! Read and study!!!

Dr. Lanzon is an extremely caring and wonderful woman. She really cares about her students grades and will help you achieve your goal. If you don't get the grade you want, you can rewrite it. She gives great feedback on all her assignments. She made me want to change my major because how interesting she made class.

WAS THE BEE'S KNEE'S, she's extremely sweet/warm hearted/absolutely gives her all to her students! I don't see how any student could disagree. She tells you exactly what you need to pass. She works with her students, and she also finds time to reach out to her students. She really does care about your success.

Professor Lanzon is a wonderful professor. She is very knowledgeable about this subject. Class consisted of chapter tests, couple of essays, and two projects that were really fun. You must read to be able to pass the tests. However, she does give few extra credits to help your grade out!

Shes funny & sweet. Class was easy, a lot of group presentations. Lots of quizzes. She gives good feedback. I recommend.

shes flexible if you read and actually do your work. showing up to class is key and you do have to read a lot, although its interesting stuff.

I don't think its possible to find a teacher that is willing to work with you, give good advice on your next move, and well sometimes give you something to laugh about. Yes Dr. Lanzon is a teacher that makes you work for your grade. But if you want to become a teacher she or anyone she recommends, well help you reach your goal.

Dr. Lanzon is awesome, I would take her again for sure! Video Reflection Questions (each week) are hard work, but the educational videos she picks are fun and not boring. Participate in discussions and take your APA paper seriously - can't stress that enough! She's super helpful (even in a 100% online class) and responds to emails quickly! A+++

Dr.Lanzon is my favorite professor at HFC thus far. Her assignments are a lot of questions and requires a lot of reading but I kind of liked that because it forces you to read the textbook thoroughly in order to understand the material and let me tell you the reading is so interesting. She is very approachable and replies really quick to texts.
