Worst teacher I have ever had. NO ONE in the class has any clue what is going on. Grades ridiculously hard and bases it on her opinion. She piles on the work and will probably give you a bad grade. DONT TAKE THIS PROFESSOR!!!

If your an athlete...BEWARE! SHE DOESN'T LIKE ATHLETES. She thinks that people don't have anything else to do....like other classes or work...just because she has lots of free time to grade her insane amount of work doesn't mean we have time to do it.

DO NOT TAKE HER!!! I never worked so hard for a C in my life. The work wasn't even that hard, it was just her grading. I would describe her as a bitter unmarried lady who has waaaay too much time on her hands...

Her class is not extremely difficult, but she grades papers with a chip on her shoulder. Tests are easy. She honestly is not a very nice person and I felt like she wanted to see people do poorly.

DO NOT TAKE THIS TEACHER FOR ANYTHING!!!! HER CLASS IS IMPOSSIBLE TO PASS!!! She is very rude to students, talks in circles and is never at her office hours!!! She is not intrested in helping you for the workplace!!! This was the worst writting class I've ever had. She is the reason Fresno State has a rep for producing student who can't write!!!!!

She sucks no one take her worst teacher ever. if anyone on here likes her they are probably related to her, or she has snuck on trying to improve her rating. avoid at all costs sit in on other classes to avoid.

Prude and rude.

She's the devil. Run hard, run fast. She appears to take pleasure in confusing, and ultimately failing her students. I reported her to the Dean and I suggest if you feel the way I do to do the same.

Avoid like the plauge. She is horrible, even if she is the only BA105W teacher that fits your schedule you are better off not taking the class that semester instead of taking her getting a D and then having to retake the class anways. Seriously, for your own good DO NOT TAKE HER!!!

She is crazy! When you first meet her she seems like a nice old granny. NOT she seems to enjoy Failing students just for the heck of it! Proud, rude, and unjust.

Got 3 A's and a C. Was suprised I even got a C out of her. This is by far the worst teacher I have ever had. Got a 40/100 on a 14 page report I spent two weeks working on. Avoid this teacher at all costs. She is rude, over critical, and takes pleasure in failing people. The average grade in the class was an F!

worst teacher i have ever had. had to miss class to go to a friends funeral and missed an unannounced quiz that she wouldn't let me retake. tried to withdraw the class and she screamed at me in her office. and asked why i didn't stop my friend from overdosing. rudest person ive ever met in my life DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS WITH HER!!

TAKE A DIFFERENT INSTRUCTOR. It's a writing class, but she hardly grades on writing. She weighs tests more than anything, and she grades very harshly. Her lessons contradict each other, but its her way only, no arguing. She wastes too much time, and blames class. She has a heart somewhere in there. But she is boring, mean, and extremely negative.

Rude and not helpful at all. Her true colors don't show till after the deadline to drop her class. Her teaching style berates your writing rather than teach you how to improve it.

She has no consideration for her students. She passes out a paper on the first day detailing how many students she fails. She is unprofessional in that she clearly writes her students off as soon as they slip up, and she has emotional outbursts in class over the "crap" work her students turn in. She refuses to help her students outside of class.

She is nauseatingly condescending. If there is one thing this teachers L O V E S, it is to SUCK at life. Plain and simple.

She is such a mean, incoherent teacher. Her style of teaching only makes sense to herself. She scared off half of the class within the first week of the semester. Yeah, I am learning something in the class but that's because I am reading the chapters religiously and trying to earn an A on the homework. I wish they offered this course online...

Prof. Larosa has an arrogant and condescending way of communicating. One example of her incompetent way of teaching is continuously correcting students during presentations. Her controlling demeanor kills any desire to be in the classroom. I felt physically suffocating and claustrophobic. Run from this kind of teaching style! You will learzNOTHING!

DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS. If you have the option to be in another, take it!! She is such a critical grader and contradicts herself a lot. I dropped with a W because I knew it would be that or an F. I am a straight A student and she makes what should be a fairly easy class, extremely difficult.

Very unclear, not helpful, wastes all class time with slow speaking then complains about being behind, arrogant, condescending, very old, stuck in her ways, doesn't hardly read email, possible to receive negative grades on assignments (and I'm an A student), vague, not knowledgeable in field, talks badly about other departments, DO NOT TAKE.

Grading is INSANE. I am an above average student with solid writing skills. She marked an assignment down to a 0 for too many errors. Never gave any good feedback. Grades papers as if she were writing them and takes no account for personal writing style. Luckily people in my class were fun, but I imagine for her other classes its DEATH. AVOID HER!

LaRosa is hands down the worst professor I've encountered in 4 years at state. I read the reviews before I took the class but I needed it to graduate so I was willing to buckle down and surely it couldn't be that bad, right ? A 22 page syllabus which we went over for 3 weeks. She's incredibly rude, unclear, and basically just rambles on all class.

This was the hardest class I have ever taken in my life. Dr. LaRosa is impossible to impress. Not one person in my class got an A on the Midterm. I have studied for every quiz and test, read the book, been at ever class and still I am not passing. PICK A DIFFERENT TEACHER.

Worst professor I've had in Fresno State. She asks you to go above and beyond but scores you low when you do so. Takes away points for any little thing you forget or "do wrong" according to her. Be prepared to go everyday of class for that extra 5% she gives if you plan to take her. I would NEVER take this professor again for any course.

Students should protest in front of her class to warn other students from taking her class. This was by far the worst classroom/teacher experience I have had all 4 years. Be ready to go insane because half the time you are thinking how can Fresno State allow this lady to still teach? Don't even attempt, you will be miserable.

Her statement in the first session is that many of her colleagues, as well as businesses do not know what they are doing at all. Upon grading a paper not for it's content, but one technical error in set spacing reduced me to an F, despite all other standards being perfect. This behavior was constant. She may be lashing on students for ulterior.

She gives extra credit, surprisingly, but on a whim and if you participate or do things for her like time the presentations or read, etc. She is unreasonable and was an absolute horror to work with this whole semester. She doesn't care about her student's needs, just what works for her. She's condescending and I would AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE

Dr. LaRosa seems confident and passionate in her students. However, won't review papers before due dates if asked, outdated professional opinion, and avoids a student if they're upset/worried about passing. I am a non-business student but average As and Bs, capable of learning new things, and reaching out. She was confused why I took her class.

Don't take this class. She calls out students telling them their papers are no good in front of the whole class. She comes off as sweet then after drop out deadline she becomes a witch. Papers never received higher than a 75% score and out of the 50 min she teaches 20 min. She is a terrible professor and needs to be evaluated by the department.

Very tough grader, very critical and wont give you a reasonable grade nor will she be on time for office hours. Calls you out in class and tells you to shut up. You cant record her lectures so theres no proof of her belittling students

This is the worst professor I have ever taken. The writing assignments seem clear, until you get your paper back and you receive a terrible grade. Highest grade for a writing assignment was a 73%. Most of the class is failing. She wont go over any papers with you in her office hours. She tells you to go to the student center for help. Avoid her

Enter at own risk! Professor LaRosa is a horrible instructor. She got behind in her syllabus and blamed our class for not being prepared for the day's content. when she couldn't back on track just read business letters to us. When it came to our final 4 chapters were not lectured on. The majority of students were failing. She had to curve grades.

This is the worst teacher ever at state. Doesnt care about her students. Shes rude and old... time for her to retire. Even an adviser told me not to take her but I had to because it was the only class open. Fresno state should re evaluate her. Not only is she rude, but she teaches so slow. She disregards the deans rules as well.

Ive never taken so many written exams in a writing class, so stupid. Will dock you multiple points for missing one comma. provided a 26 page example of how to do a report, followed it extensively, and still got a C. makes so sense. forget what she even puts in her own assignments

She keeps you after class pretty much everyday, even online. Would keep us 15+ and be annoyed as to why people were leaving lecture. She doesn't like to go over quizzes or papers. Had a paper due in March and she didn't grade it until June, meaning I didn't know what I was doing wrong on my papers. Old professor who doesn't know what she's doing.
