FIRE HER!!!!! Her tests are not based on lectures. Class average grades on exam are Fs and Ds. I don't recommend her to anyone. Go to Santiago Canyon and take Mr. Houska. And if you are stuck with her, best of luck.
Got an A but I had to work my ass off. If you want to do well you better read the BOOKS front and back. Her tests are based on the information contained in the syllabus but focusing only on the syllabus will not be a good idea. Her class was pretty much a self study course.
She is a very smart lady but, has no teaching skills. The worst teacher I have ever had.
You could seriously study your ass off and still not know a whole lot for the tests. Her drop out rate can be over 50% in which those that are still left may not even be passing. I recommend either taking Hampton or Houska at SCC
She is a nice women but her test is extreamly HARD!! She doesn't explain materials in detail and everyone got lost in her lecture. You have to read a textbook over and over to get a good grade. If possible, don't take her class!!
try to find yourself a better teacher - highly NOT recommended
The WORST teacher ever. Horrible class with a horrible teacher. Find somebody else or wait. Do NOT take any class with her!!! You will be sorry you did!
Her class was ez once you understand how she teaches. Her lectures ONLY help you understand the reading and her syllabus is what you should follow. She's a nice person and very approachable. Unfortunately many people in the class use English as a second language so things are hard for them.
Very nice lady and approachable, but teaching skills suck! I consider myself pretty intelligent, but I barely got by with a B after the extra credit saved me. She tends to get long winded during lectures about non-pertinent info and her tests are very ambiguous. If possible, take Houska-he rocks!
I wonder if Mansfield wrote that her class is ez herself. There is NOBODY who considers her class ez. She loves students to fail and is proud of her 80% drop-out rate. There were 32 of us at the beginning and only six finished. She is wacko with a chip on her shoulder. And you MUST call her DOCTOR.
She is the worst teacher I have ever taken! She goes off on irrelevant tangents in lectures and shows indifference to our learning. She is not approachable and she probably gets a rush out of failing her students. DO NOT TAKE HER! She should be fired!
she's a very smart prof. but her teaching skills sucks!! her lectures are very unclear and no matter how hard u study her tests are soooo damn hard it's ridiculous!!just so u know Ms.Mansfield ur not teaching in a UC!! so take it easy on ur students....
got an a in her class. i'm currently attending uci and just to let you know her tests are EASIER to what we have here (MC vs Essay). just follow the syllabus and read the book. forget lecture. don't expect instructors to tell you everything..... especially lab!
HAHAHA... Ah Mansfield. We started with 31 peeps in lab... and came down to 7 (maybe even fewer). Good times. Oh, if you do decide to take her class go for the Friday labs. Human parts are much easier to see than cats.
Should look at other professors. Don't be to proud of yourself.
The lecture is worthless, and she is not clear on what specifically you need to know and understand from the text. As a survey course one cannot completely memorize the text but that is exactly what you need to do in order to score well on the exams. Find a teacher at a different school.
You learn everything on your own in this class and lecture has nothing to do with the tests. She should not be teaching undergrads, I felt hopeless the whole semester. Everyone dropped and most people got "C's", but it was the most undeserved "C" ever. Scaling Mt. Everest would have been easier
As a medical student in MExico, I couldn't believe I almost failed this class. The class is very hard and the teacher is very professional, but her lecture is the worse. Exams are quite hard, though not impossible. All I can say is, take "Hampton" and if you really want to challenge your self, take Mansfield. PREPARE FOR PHYSIOLOGY :P
This was the hardest class I have ever taken in my life.Mind you I am(was)an honor student and graduated from a Private high school with honors.Don't take her class!I barely got by with a "C".I can kiss my honors status good-bye because of Mansfield!Exams are impossible. I studied at least 6 hrs a day.It was never enough! You have been warned.
Her lecture is boring. Not clear at all. Exams are ver impossible, and yes, I also was an honors student in high school. You have to study for hours to get this stuff. I heard Physiology is 3 times harder, so don't ever think about taking this teacher. Take Houska for Physiology. I passed with C.
Horrible!!! Please never take her. Put it off for another semester if you have to. NO JOKE!!!
Do not go to her lectures. Study everything in the syllabus/book she wrote. She LOVES to ask detailed and tricky questions. KNow your AKAs. If you're an ESL student, you will fail. Do all extra credit given. Do not expect lab/instructor to tell u everything u need to know on exams. Exams are highly challenging. Take Houska instead
Dr. Mansfield as a person was actually very nice, but her class was horrible. The exams were extremely detached from the lectures and the class was not run efficiently in any matter. To her credit, she is stretched too thin and NEEDS!!! to give some of it up to focus on her students learning. Perhaps that would make a difference.
If you couldn't handle Anatomy, don't expect this to be easier, especially with Mansfield. This ain't no piece of cake or walk on the beach. Take Houska. He is way better. Mansfield doesn't give a s... for his students. Just study hard an NEVER GIVE UP in PHYSIOLOGY!!
Very demanding course! Her lectures weren't that helpful, esp. w/her tests. Plan on spending at LEAST a FEW HOURS each night studying & EARN EVERY BIT OF x-tra credit offered. However, she will answer q's via email or in person if you ask. Nice lady but horrible on the teaching end. Hilde/SAC & Houska/SCC are good. I got a "B" but it was hard!

She is very smart and knows her material so much in depth until she has no clue how to explain to students in lecture. Many hours of lecture is pretty much taking your brain around the circle to get nothing.
She is really willing to help students if having problem but her lecture is soooo boring and hardly to understand. The quiz and exam are as hard as you have to take a doctor test.
Horrible teacher!!! Save yourselves time, go to Santiago and take Houska!!!
Take Houska at SCC. She is very unprepared for lecture and nothing in lecture is ever on her tests.
You have to study alot, but it pays off in the end.
i am an excellent student but i had to drop this class! this teacher is so frustrating, her tests are crazy detailed and the her quiz questions don't make sense. There is a lot of prep for each lab and you won't have time to finish them. Save yourself the frustation!
RUN-DO NOT WALK, RUN! As Far & as Quickly as you can, AWAY from Mansfield! Lectures are confusing & disorganized, lab a nightmare, her midterm & final a joke. Her exams aren't what she told you to study for, & her tests are at a doctorate level, & not in her syllabus! She does this on purpose. Watch points, she loses papers. AVOID, Not Kidding!
She is the worst teacher I have ever had. Its an introductory course but she teaches it as pre-med, yea that may be great and you learn a lot, but I managed a B in the class, only because I spent over 60 hours in the study lab and over 80 hours studying at home not to mention all the reading. She does not understand that its a 5 unit class, not 16!
Get the fu.. out and take Houska. If you are already there, haha (immitating Nelson from the Simpson's) She is your worse nightmare. She'll make sure you won't forget her. Exams are beyong you if you tend to slack off. Just get the fuc. out. This lady is extremely hard even with a lot of studying. If ESL student, DON"T TAKEEEEEEEEE!!! You'll belos
I Took both those classes. Got A's in them. Basically if you're a lazy bum, and idiot, or if English is not your main language then you'll die. But if you read the book and study the syllabus you can't get anything less than a B.
This is a difficult course and Mansfield does not make any attempt to dumb it down for you. She does spell everything out (fairly) clearly in her syllabus and she is open to questions, but she does not tolerate laziness or plain old stupid excuses. I ended up dropping because I couldn't work full time and do it with 3 other classes.
Yea if it were medical school or stanford undergrad fine. But her tests are so hard and not the "Oh well its challenging u'll learn a lot kind", but the absurdly "whats the point in failing everybody kind" If you want to weed people out fine but do it in a fair resonable way. You can study forever but you'll get a B at best, maybe a C. So hard
In response to the "student" who wrote the review dated 3/7/06: I, as well as many other students who have taken Mansfield's classes, are neither lazy nor idiotic! English is my primary language. I studied extensively & still received less then a "B". Good instructor? Mansfield - forget it! I hope for future SAC students, that she retires.
Quizes and Exams are extremely difficult.
Dr. Mansfield leaves no stone unturned. You will be challenged in her class. I disagree with the student who said this is an easy A. No way. But do not fret, the grade isn't as important as 'did you learn something?' You cannot skate by like high school. You either know it or you don't. It's a great foundation. Be prepared to work.
Unreal, we started the semester with 36 students in the class, by the end of the semester there were 8 of us left and the class average of those left was 40%. I've taken classes with Dr. M before but her physiology takes the cake. Seek instruction elsewhere.
This lady is nuts! Thinks we R all grad school students & that she & her team of superhero students R on the cutting edge of physiology research. She should retire or take a long walk off a short bridge. Don't make the mistake of taking her & hoping it won't be so bad. It will guaranteed! I had to drop cause she was single handedly ruining my life!
Mrs. Mansfield stressed attendance was crucial. Yet, my friend stopped attending the classes (and only attended the lab) but still worked up an A! I, however, attended every class and realized that she spends about 20 minutes talking about her family and life. Got a C in the end. What a complete waste of my time! :<
Not super hard! But not easy! The tests are tolerable and you should be able to pass if you do the extra credit, do well on the lab quizzes. If you want to pass and have a 2 whole days to cram for test/final, just take her. There's a lot of material in the rigorous course so be prepared. It is doable. If you have no life, you might get an A.
WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY ESPICALY THE ONLINE COARSE! Yes I read the online lecture, followed w/ the txt book and lab book. Took the mid term and dropped coarse beacuse i bomb the test. It is true that you will start off w/ 35 students and it will drop down to less thatn a dozen. Theres another tescher @ santiago that u should take starts w/ an Hou
she is the worst teacher ever, for real. some of my friends barely pass the class. she told us to do the work book for every week lecture quizes, even if you memorize the whole workbook, the questions isn't from there. she chose 1 table and ask you just about that, eveyone got lost
totally out of her mind!!!!! who in the world does she think she's teaching, if you can call it that!?! we're not doctors, we're students seeking to learn not regret having chosen a carrer in medicine! somebody knock on her door and let her know that she can't teach....she talks alright but 99% of what comes out is blah blah ...blah....
I dropped the class and took it at santiago canyon college with Houska, ended up getting an A.... Houska ROCKS!!!! don't believe me, just ask anyone who took his class !!!
Took both 239 and 249, EXTREMELY HARD!!! She is not a great teacher and to survive is success enough. Labs/exams are confusing and extremely difficult. You have to bust your butt to get a good grade here. Certainly not doctoral level work but very much like what you will find in an upper level university class. Largely self taught.
***WARNING: DO NOT ENROLL IN PROFESSOR MANSFIELD'S ANATOMY COURSE! THIS COURSE IS ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO PASS. OUR AVERAGE CLASS GRADE WAS AN F on EVERY TEST! SHE IS NOT LOGICAL WHATSOEVER. TAKE THIS CLASS WITH ANYONE BUT HER.
VERY HARD TEACHER, TEACHES UNDERGRAD STUDENTS LIKE PHD STUDENTS,VERY HARD TO PASS HER CLASS,GOODLUCK TO WHOEVER TAKES HER CLASS,YOU HAVE TO TAKE IT AGAIN TO PASS.
great teacher
VERY BAD TEACHER, NOT EXPLAIN THINGS WELL ON HER WEB. EXAM SUPER HARD. SHOUD NOT TAKE HER
Took the internet class. Only take this class if you are self disciplined-to get an A you need to study the text book religiously. The midterm was ok but the final was really hard. The good thing though is there are lots of extra credit points you can earn and there are a lot of other easy assignments to make up for bad test grades.
Terrible class. Like others said, we went from a class of 35 to 12 who barely passed. Coastline has great classes with teachers who really want you to succeed.
ONE OF THE WORST TEACHERS YOU CAN EVER GET!!!!
I am in the class right now and it is terrible. I choose to disregard the past comments about her thinking I would do fine as an EMT. This class is set up for you to fail! We wrote letters to the dean and signed petitions. If you want to work your butt off, live and breath anatomy and not get rewarded than this class is for you. Good luck.
i'm doing ok on this class. come on guys, reasonly, there r alot of pp who got A in others class but dont know much. when they get into program, they fail steadily. so what's the point of easy a but failing later on in yr life
This professor is one of the worst teachers I have ever had. Her information was not clear and she was entirely unhelpful. I struggled to get through her class because I had to teacher myself everything. Her being in the room is just a presence of a warm body.
Biggest waste of time ever. Makes you pay $100 for her own syllabus, plus $300 worth of other books & materials, and her utterly useless syllabus has typos in it. In my opinion, this professor sets classes up for most students to fail. Her assistant mumbles, refuses to repeat anything, and scolds you for asking questions. WE'RE NOT MED STUDENTS!
this is an extremly hard class. very little help from either teacher. mainly self study but i think thats given when you take a class online. the fact that she goes on about "keeping costs down" then make you pay $100 for a syllabus SHE WROTE is beyond awful to me. the other teaches syllabii are about $5 at the school. and her's has TONS of typos!
Class is hard. Too much info from to many places. If you study 24/7 you'll maybe pass. Have all 4 books needed for sale (562)883-4070 for $250.
She is a poor professor she is head of the science Dept. her exams are not even based on letcures. HORRIBLE! Better of taking Houska At Santiago Canyon he is FABULOUS!!!!!

HELP!!! HUMAN PHYSIOLOGY (BIO249). I need textbookS. Call me at 714-264-7009. I am sure this class will be difficult. Plan to take it Summer 2008 - it will be intensive!!! Please call... ASAP. Class starts 6/23/08. This is a correction from previous.
Unreasonable amount of material and information to cover. Alot of time consuming work expected. Do not take!!!
SHE Needs to get fired! Horrible! TAKE HOUSKA AT SANTIAGO CANYON SOO much Better GREAT PROFESSOR!
Don't take her. Even if she is the only teacher that works around your schedule. Her exams are consist of random questions that she find online (not what is in the textbook.) She is so bad that other professors will not recommend you taking her. If you're planning on going into the Santa Ana Nursing Program, she will put you back another year. ='(
Out 2 classes with approx 30 students total, 1 person earned an A. I got a B. If you decided to take this class, earn as many easy points as you can on the forums, homeworks, quizes and all the extra credit possible! The lab practi****is straight forward but the exam's are tricky. Majority of questions are straight from Wiley online.
poster of 4/12/05 is a loser, too. Take D. Burbridge or Houska instead of this so-called teacher.
This teacher is one of those whose questions on tests are designed to "trick" students. Even though you know the stubject matter inside and out, it won't help you, as you still have to "guess" on test questions because you're trying to figure out WHAT she's asking, not what the answer to the question is.
oh lord, i never knew of this website before taking this class or else i would never have subjected myself to torture like this. i graduated from CSUF with honors yet taking this class felt like i was unbelievably stupid. it doesn't get worse than this. half of the people in our class already dropped out and i think i'll be next to withdraw!
Hardest class I ever tried to take. I am already a practicing RN - trying to go back for my master's and I could not understand any of her online lectures and the syllabus was unorganized. I dropped this class because it was way too hard
worst instructor i have ever had. very incompetent, useless, and lazy..no instruction, and no timely response to emails, phone calls, and totally unreachable via office hours. DO NOT TAKE HER... oh, by the way, who's her hairdresser? she should fire them too. you are the worst mansfield... DR.? of what?
This was the most difficult class I have ever taken (and I already have a BA). I would study for about 6 hours a day & always felt behind. She does give you LOTS of extra credit and many easy points. I averaged Cs on the practicums & exams and got an A in the class. It's possible but not worth it. Prepares you for nursing prog, at least!
The worst professor ever. I am a straight A student and did my undergrad at a great school. I had to take this out of necessity for a PA program and she made it impossible to get an A. Half the class dropped and the majority of who was left failed. She should never be allowed to teach because she doesn't.
This class was horrendous!!!! Don't do it!!! whatever you do don't do it!!! I've always been a good student and nursing has been what i wanted to do for awhile but this class made me doubt myself. She is SUPER unorganized and has a million different sources we have to look through to take notes.Take Houska at SCC, you will have a much better time!
She is a super hard teacher. She makes you do a ton of homework (lost mine but still gave me credit). Few people finished the class and those that did 25% passed with a C or better. She is a hard teacher. Better off with someone else. She prides herself on how hard she tests + grades assignments. She seems nice but too tough.
She is all over the place. She talks about things that are not important on test. Class lecture is a waste of time. She goes over material thats not going to be on the test. You can study and read the material thats going to be on test.
NON-RESPONSIVE!!!...for an online professor, she is horrible at responding to emails, about exams, assignments, etc. She also replies with rude comments when you are trying to get a hold of her and she finally does respond back to you. I would never recommend her as a professor again. She needs to retire!
Dr. Mansfield is actually a very nice person who remembers everything (i.e. all questions asked). Definitely tough class (need to study more than anatomy but as much as microbio), but an A is feasible. Do not take any other science classes concurrently. Professor Mansfield tends to jump around a lot, but reading the book helps to clarify things.
She is super hard but a very nice teacher. If she curve the grade, it would be much better. Too much info to comprehend
took her class Fall 2010. She is a very nice person, but weird and hard to follow. She teaches on a much higher level, and grades hard. I am an A student, but studied my but off to barely get a B- WOW!! i was desperate to take the class, otherwise i would stay away from her. I heard other professors are more interesting and easy to follow.
I took her online class and just be prepared to teach yourself everything. Her online lectures really dont help much at all. Its possible to get an A but you must study constantly
Hard class, but doable. Problem is your competition for med/nursing/pa school is taking the easier teacher, getting the A and getting in. You should too. This will drag down your grades in other classes too. Make a good decision. Dont be in a hurry.
Took online. Class was hard but if you do all the extra credit, study guides, and quizzes you will still pass even if you bomb the tests.
Teachers are supposed to teach.Mansfield does NOT teach.Lectures-unfocused & based on 20% of the required material.Felt as tho she was continually trying to trick me with her exams. Can't say enough with 350 characters.Trust me, this is nothing but stress & frustration.Got a B but felt like I had to fight a shark for it.Read the other reviews here.
ouch!! hard to get a good grade, even if you are an A student & study a lot. she doesn't teach!! sorry, she might be a nice person, but she's not a good professor...
DO NOT TAKE HER! It is a waste of time and you will be better off taking another teacher. Tests are very hard. You must know about 400 pages of textbook for a 100 question test. You must teach yourself, she doesn't teach you anything.
Professor Mansfield is SUCH a nice lady...but a horrible professor. Once you meet her, she is sweet, funny, and helpful. But her lectures are dull and boring. Her lecture notes are not helpful at all. Tests are very difficult, especially because they are mostly based on the syllabus (which is extremely hard to understand in the first hand). I somehow passed the course by reading every chapter 3 times, reading online material, and asking others for help. Worst class I have EVER taken!!!
horrible teacher ever
I've had my share of science teachers, from Ivy League to community colleges. She is the worst teacher I've had the misfortune to encounter. I admire teachers who care enough to make their students work hard, but she verges on incompetence. She does not make herself available to students and her lectures and explanations are virtually useles.
Like others said, she is very nice - but she is ridiculously hard. She teaches at a PhD level - not a community college level. She bases her tests on her syllabus which basically have one word phrases and you better know every bit of information under the sun to have a chance at passing.
Can you read your text book and fully understand every concept being taught to you then be ready to test on it? Then you are in luck, this teacher rely's heavily on her text book teach you what you need. You basically go to class for her to demonstrate charts and other info that she does not test you on. Avoid.
AVOID AVOID!!! I would recommend taking this course at a nearby college. 95% of her students do not finish or fail the class. Anatomy is high on a nurses list and you need a good grade. She even tells you on the first day. I hope you do not have a life because Anatomy has just taken over.
You will need to earn your grade. Before you get to lecture you need to have read your book and filled in your syllabus. Each meeting has a quiz. Test questions are sourced from both the in class and online quizzes. She's helpful but you have to take your own initiative to ask her. Nursing students, if you survive her pharmacology is easy.
I do not get you all... She was difficult but lets be honrest, if you are planning on a nursing program you need good preparation and she realy preparse you if you like to earn your BSN and not to kill yourself later on becouse you are not able to keep up with other students in the program. GREAT PROFESOR.
There are over 100 points available for quizzes, you only need 60, quizzes are based on reading. lab quizzes are okay, just read the lab syllabus for the day. Lab reports are easy too, just know what you are doing. Study old lecture quizzes, ten will be on midterm, ten on the lecture final. There are 10 bonus Q's on both the midterm and the final.
i got an A in her class... she is a very sweet person, but the way she lectures and tests is so difficult and nearly incomprehensible sometimes. during our lab test, every student got one of the questions wrong, because she phrased it or tried to trick us, and she simply told us that "we had to think the way she was thinking" i wouldnt take'r again
I would not take her again, is not worth it to attend her lectures because they are not clear. You are better off reading the book in your own and getting a tutor.she will trick you in the questions test. She is very sweet but I don't think. If you ask her questions her answers are not clear. Did not like her at all as an instructor.
I do not care how nice she is. We are not here to analyse her personality. There is a mid-term and a final exam and that is a big chunk of your total grade. No homework, a quiz every week that has absolutely nothing with the lecture. As a matter of fact, it does not matter if you show up or not you are already lost and depending on yourself to lean
This was the only anatomy class I found that was still open and I now see why. This class is pointless to take she has students spend 500 dollars on books/supplies, she does not give a study guide that actually helps, you are set up to fail DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS!!! There is absolutely no structure to the class and you have to teach yourself!
Very difficult to follow. She gives you a syllabus that is impossible to follow, no real direction as to what you need to focus on and study. I would not recommend taking her.
Wow, that was ridiculous! Class is 550 points, 350 of them are midterm/final. Problem is, the exams are incredibly difficult with limited direction provided by the professor. Mansfield just makes the course as hard as she can, and does it with pride. I got a 98 percent in Anatomy, and struggled for a C in this course. DO NOT TAKE find ALTERNATE
DO NOT TAKE. if you are looking for nursing prerequisites...WAIT for a different class. this grade will ruin your GPA...multiple test answers were wrong...tests you on pictures of abnormal anatomy....
Horrible class and professor. I took her hybrid Anatomy course with online "lecture" and traditional lab. There is NO content to the online portion of the course except taking WileyPlus quizes and reading the book. Tells you to study her syllabus ($100+ at bookstore) and yet maybe 30% of the syllabus material is on the exams or quizzes. AVOID!
If you like organization, structure, and direction, do not take this class. I am a good student, (got all A's) except for this class. Syllabus was confusing, labs did not correlate with assigned reading. Midterm, final, and practicals (I,II) cover 8 weeks worth of material, which is difficult to memorize. Unbelievably frustrating class!
Worst class I've ever taken overall, in any subject at any college. Unhelpful teacher, tests have nothing to do with the lectures.Very confusing. Makes you buy her OVERPRICED lab syllabus. Avoid all together. You are much better off waiting for a spot to open up in another class. Don't waist your time and money.
I don't care how smart you are. You have to work super hard here to get a good grade. The exams are very difficult, master level. Find other college or professor that teaches this class. You won't like it. You will be miserable. Please listen to me! IF you only take this class, you are good, if not, MOVE ON!
Warning don't take her if you need a good grade. She is the worst teacher I've ever taken.. Stay away from this class. Trust me I'm helping you out. Doesn't follow PowerPoint or the realllllly long syllabus. She makes you memorize a ton. Not realistic. Formula charts, 50 page outline (that you fill in yourself)
She is very nice. Her exams are harder than graduate school exams. 10+ chapters for one exam.
She is a nice person and I want to believe that her heart is in the right place but she is not a good professor. She offers no lecture whatsoever and gives out the hardest exams imaginable. You basically teach yourself in this class and she is not at all helpful, in my opinion her input only further complicates things. I would avoid at all costs.
Im sorry to say but she is just dreadful. She has you do all your bio assignments on some other website and her class was once a week. its basically an independent studies class and you should only show up to the second half of class just to take the test. She rambles in her lectures and doesnt really teach biology. You will NOT pass this class.
By far the worst out there. Her midterms are extremely hard . She won't gov you any reviews for them and she give one out every 3 weeks. She changed the topics on the midterm on that same day. Won't rely to emails, or voice mails, never there during her office hours. No help what so ever! its not wroth taking her class, Long unhelpful Lectures
She is hard. Her lecture is all over the place. Hard to know what to study for. Nice person but her way of teaching is confusing. You'll probably have to teach yourself, group studies will help. And do all the extra credit possible. If u can take the class with someone else do it!
Her lecture is all over the place. Hard to know what to study for. Nice person but her way of teaching is confusing. You'll probably have to teach yourself, group studies will help. And do all the extra credit possible. If u can take the class with someone else do it!
By far the most difficult class I've taken. Expect to do all the reading as you probably won't get much from the lectures. There is a lecture syllabus that is mandatory to purchase but the lectures don't follow it and you have to do all the reading and fill it out yourself the best you can. Good luck to anyone that decides to take her class. Run...
She does not know how to teach, she goes off topic a lot, and her tests are EXTREMELY hard. Her TA gave tutoring lessons for her students and he was the only reason that I passed. He was basically the one who taught me and several other students the material. All her other students from her other classes (Anatomy and Physiology) struggle as well.
I would show up to class and her lectures were just really confusing. I was lost and when I asked questions she would reply to come see her after class.
i took the same course with a different professor which was made tough but with mansfield patricia i had an A and i must say she is really good and very helpful and encouraging .you only need to work hard and get the grades you deserve .i enjoyed her lectures
Horrible person. Horrible. Just sad, please LEAVE! Unorganized, disrespects other teachers, bad attitude. No help at all. She doesn't listen to her students, sucks at teaching. I'm sorry but it's the truth.
A lot of students dont understand her or her class but the way she teaches will make sense to those to put the work in to understand the subject. If you ask questions, she will answer them. If you still dont understand, ask again. She's a very sweet person, Physiology is hard to learn at any school!
She is an excellent teacher, I love her class. In Bio109L you have to do a lot of labs but it's really easy. You just have to study for the quizzes, but everything is in the lab manual.
