The absolute best teacher in intro to biology and anatomy. I only wish my other science teachers were as good.If you fail her class it is completely your own fault.

Excellent professor, and very thorough. If you're looking for a class to goof off, this is NOT the class for you. If you're looking to come out of this course with the knowledge you need to succeed, I highly recommend Marquardt. She explains things in a way that everyone can understand, and is very open to questions and suggestions.

She is the best Teacher..she gives good notes..very helpful..u can ask her anything.. as long as u study the notes she gives u.. u'll get an A in all the tests. i'm taking her right now.she's a strict teacher.. u cant goof off in the class..make sure u pay attention in the class..i couldn't ask for a better teacher to teach all the BIOS...

She was the best teacher i had. very through, strict straight to the point. explains everything very very well.I highly and strongly reccomend her for any science class.

Great teacher, must take good notes,everything in notes will be on exam, don't really need the book for bio 155. she is very helpful you can ask anything, you must take her

I had her for BIO 240 & 250. She's not easy. I got A's and I worked for them. Lab tests were really hard. I learned alot from her and would highly recommend her. She doesn't allow students to play around and behave like kids. It's nice to have a teacher that doesn't tolerate cell phones ringing and other disruptions.

Awesome professor!! You will learn so much from her, but you have to pay attention and take notes! She knows her stuff and as long as you try, she will go out of her way to help you. She has a gift for teaching!

If you need to learn the material, take Marquardt. She can be a bit intimidating, but she's really quite nice, and always willing to explain things in different ways if you're not grasping a concept.

Marquardt is my favorites Science teacher i have had throughout my college career and i have taken everything. She knows how to present the material and is always willing to help, however don't show up late to her class and don't ask ignorent questions because she'll call you out... I loved her!!

If you study her notes, then you get a good grade. Lab tests were a little difficult. She does treat the class like they are 10 years old though. She is nice and helpful.

She is extremly clear on what needs to be studied for the test, they are exactly from her notes in lecture and lab. I wish I would have taken her this semester for BIO 250..

I am taking her now and I love her.She gives alot to study and yes my brains are fried!She also gives alot of handouts that come from the book.I don't like her lab test but Im not the professor so any ways.Very organized.It was so much to remember that my brain has shut down.

She is a hard teacher, but a really good one. She will give you all of the notes to study and what to expect on the test. Lab is really hard and she doesnt mess around. She makes sure you know your stuff, and if not your going to fail.

I loved Marquardt. She is hard, but you will know the material when you are done with the class. She is very straight forward and doesn't play around. If you want to really learn the subject, I would definitely recommend taking her. Be prepared to put the time in, but it will be worth it!

Favorite teacher in college so far. Its no easy A. but you learn so much and she makes it so easy for you to learn. Shes a tad crazy at times and dont even try to leave early or anything like that. I love her though even though shes a bit strict.

great class to have. she basically hands you the answers to the test in notes and homework, what other teacher in college gives you homework that helps your grade and then gives you bonus questions on the tests? she does! can't miss a minute, might miss a whole chapter. strict but awesome!

You have to show up for every class. Review your notes daily and you will Ace the exam. She also pretty funny!

She is not the "cuddly" type, but let me tell you, she knows her stuff. I truly learned alot. She likes answering questions. She wants her students to do well. I made index cards from ALL her handouts and oral notes and that seemed to help me quite a bit. Has a funny dry sense of humor. Don't miss ANY classtime or you'll be lost!

Definitely not a professor with favorites. She is sometimes demeaning but all in all I enjoyed this class. She keeps you on your toes with a lot of hand-outs in both lab and lecture. Keep up and attend all labs and lectures and an A is easy to achieve.

I took her for Bio 155 and 240, she is one of the best professors I've had thus far. She has a "quirky" sence of humor. She knows her stuff for sure! You don't really need to purchase a text book, she uses ALOT of notes. Be on time for class, and attend every class and your are sure to get an A

I had Ms. Marquardt for anatomy and she was Best Professor in my college career, extremely helpful and very thorough with her lectures. She is an awesome teacher all around but not if you like to screw around, if you pay attention and read you will ace the class.

I absolutely love Bio and Marquardt is a awesome teacher she uses a lot of notes and you really do not need a textbook if you plan on missing class or you want to BS do not take her class but if you come everyday take notes and pay attention you will surely pass cannot wait to take her for anatomy!!

I was not thrilled about having to take this level of Biology, given my lack of interest. That said, Mrs. Marquardt is the best college instructor Ive ever had and made me love this subject. If your a no-nonsense type of student who doesnt mind studying, you will never find a better teacher, but don't take her if you want to talk and play in class.

I had this professor for Biology Lab 155. Very articulate and straight to the point. Doesn't mess around, either you pay attention or leave. Knows her material very well and presents it in an easy to understand format. She follows the syllabus very close and tells you up front what you need to know for the tests.

Great teacher. She doesnt talk about the things that dont matter, nor does she get side track. Tests are relevant. Lots of experiments you WILL learn to use a microscope well. =]

I love this professor. She is very nice, straight foward when explaining material, and she is a great help to advice or questions you have.

She's probably one of the best professors this college can offer. She's very direct and no nonsense. People would say she's hard but I would say she just makes sure you know the material. She almost never uses the book and prints out worksheets for everything. She comes off as stiff but she's very approachable.

She is an awesome teacher.I learned so much from her, Kinda scary and strict but she loosens up and she's very nice.She just doesn't tolerate any crap. If your serious about school and want to learn the material take her. If you just want an easy A go somewhere else.

best professor by far, very knowledgeable about the subject matter, very precise and articulate, answers all questions, made a very hard subject understandable, doesn't take any crap, expects her students to act as if they were in an actual working environment

Best science teacher by far! She makes everything so clear. There are notes taken everyday and she reviews weekly. I do not excel in science but she made it very easy for me. Take this teacher!

She is an amazing instructor. Work hard and you will learn a lot. Be prepaired and don't waste her time or yours. Love her classes and would take her for any class that she teaches.

By far the best teacher I've ever had. She is tough and this is a tough class but she knows what she's doing. You will learn a lot. Very professional and wants her students to be also. When you get an A be proud because you have earned it. Wish I could take her for 250.

When this class began, she scared the heck out of me! But she turned out to be an amazing teacher. She loosened up and was very nice, she just doesn't like slackers. If you take her class, be prepared to take it seriously. Pay attention, take advantage of extra credit, and listen to her lectures, and you will do great! I wish she taught 250..

One of the best teachers that I have ever had; She can be a little intimidating at first but She truly is a great instructor! Most of her test are from notes & at one point I thought I was going to fail the class but there's so much EC during the semester & I got a B! :) Highly Recommend!

Best professor I have ever had! I took her in 1998 for Biology and again last semester for BIO 240. Pay attention in class and attend regularly or you will not do well. Not an easy class, but she makes it interesting and relevant. Very clear on what she expects from the student. Offers extra credit. Wish she taught BIO 250. Best teacher WCCCD has!!

She is an amazing teacher! If you actually want to learn I recommend her 100% It is not an easy class but if you study the notes and handouts you will do fine. She is one of the best science teachers at WCCCD. I wish I could take her for every science class I need.

She is the definition of a great professor.One of the best, if not the best, professors out there. Take her regardless of what other people may say. If you dedicate a little time everyday to go over the material and you should be good. Passed with an A. I wish I could take her for other classes. Truly an inspiration!

One of the greatest teachers I've ever had! I learned so much, and I enjoyed her class so much that I built my schedule the following semester around taking her BIO 240! Definitely not an instructor for people who want an easy A, but if you're willing to learn and actually earn your grade then her class is definitely worth taking.

Love her. You have to do work, but it is so worth it. I feel so much more intelligent after I took her class. She appears to be intimidating at first, but as long as you don't interrupt the class or be rude to her, she is very friendly and helpful. There was a problem with the majority of students not having their lab manual, so she scanned copies.

She goes over exactly what she tests on and offers extra credit on all tests, lab and lecture. Very good teacher overall. Makes sure students understand the material.

Bio240. She is definitely one of the best teachers I've had at wc3d. Knows her material, very organized, gives many many extra credit opportunities, speaks clearly. Makes the subject she is teaching simplified and easy to understand. Do your homework! Study the notes she gives you.. No need to read the book. Test is directly from notes.

Great Professor!

She is tough, but you WILL learn. I would love to take another course with her. Very knowledgeable. Clear on everything. She will fill the time scheduled to the minute. Office hours and help if you need it. Attendance mandatory. Not an easy A, but you will be ready for the next class. Wish I could've taken her for all BIO sections.

Patricia was a good teacher education-wise but didn't seem to be very caring and nurturing. As long as you study you'll do fine.

Professor Marquardt is an amazing teacher, she knows what she is teach and wants you to understand it. Homework assignments are easy but test are very hard and require tons of studying. She gives you a drop grade and more than enough extra credit, to where its hard to receive anything lower then a B in her class.

Learned a lot from this class. If you attend class and pay attention, you will get a good grade.

I absolutely love Professor Marquardt! Biology has never been very easy for me, but I found myself earning an A in her class! She is awesome, very fair, has her stuff together. I think that she is very well-respected by her colleagues and students. 10/10 would recommend her to anyone! Didn't need the bio book, but DO NEED the lab book and CONNECT.

This professor is fantastic. You have to be on your game from day 1. Do the assignments, participate when she gives out extra credit and study the handout notes before the exams and you will find this professor incredibly easy and fun. Coming from a lazy straight D student in highschool, this professor was a wake up call and lead me to my success.

Best teacher at WCCCD, she is so helpful and makes you understand. She won't put up with people who aren't there to learn, she doesn't mess around. This was the best part of the class all of the people only there for money would drop. Which made the class a good learning environment.

This is no easy A, but don't let that scare you! Professor Marquardt's very blunt about what she expects from you from day 1, so there is no confusion. All answers to tests and quizzes will be in your notes. No surprises. She will explain something and then go over it again, next class, so you get a refresher and don't fall behind. Fantastic!!

Professor Marquardt was hands down one of the best professors I've ever had at WCCCD. This class is certainly no easy A. She doesn't tolerate any nonsense. Prof. Marquardt is by far the BEST instructor in WCCC. Nursing students, she teaches you everything you need to know to pass your HESI. Detailed, organized, pleasant instructor who really cares and really teaches!

Professor Marquardt was one of the main reasons I passed my HESI with a high score. She said on the first day of class that students that take her class seriously, pass the HESI with high scores and she is definitely right. She gives you the tools to pass her class and it's up to you to use them. Future nurses need to take her!!!!

Shes a great instructor. You have to come to class and you have to study. The good news is if u pay attention and read over your notes youll do fine. If u want an easy A dont bother with her she strictly business but great at what she does

Professor Marquardt class was not easy I must say however, For Nursing Program this is the class to take. She teaches you everything you need to know. And helps you to retain the information. (She knows her stuff) Practical Exams in Lab were great and lecture was very informational. I would definitely recommend her class to take.
