Pretty easy teacher. 4 tests, a final, and small weekly assignments. She gives homework, but it is not mandatory. She does monitor attendance, but she said she only does it for the university. I missed quite a few classes and was not penalized. I like math, but she seemed like an easy and fair teacher.
Her class is pretty easy, filled with a variety of students. A few kids slept and didn't do anything in class, so they probably did badly. If you just take all the notes and do the homework you'll do fine.
GIVES A LOT OF NOTES! However, answers your questions. She gives notes and examples on the board. However, she makes sure you understand the problems by walking around the class to see if you
She has little patience and only knows how to teach a problem one way. If you question her, she "loses it." She copies straight from her notes onto the board and cannot show the problem any other way. She does not teach. She refers to her students as stupid students when they don't undertand a problem.
She is the worst teacher I have had at the university thus far. She didn't supply the answers to the quizzes nor the test reviews. And, when I questioned her about it, she YELLED AT ME. She yells at anyone who asks a Q. She teaches only the simple, first way to do a problem. So, you have to figure out all the exceptions yourself. DO NOT TAKE!
Horrible teacher. She literally screamed at me for asking her a question in her office. She embarrassed me in front of the entire class on purpose. She treats her students like pure crap. She's boring and rude. And I DO NOT recommend her to anyone. You're better off just teaching yourself math, because she truly is the worst. Sorry. But not really.
She's a very effective professor, although she can move very fast. I'm surprised at the comments. She looks stern but is very helpful and quick to reply to emails or follow with meet-ups. Always review before a test to make certain you get it, and I love the fact that she's lenient on attendance and tardiness.
she move at a sort of fast pace, but gives you alot of practice work, do the online homework each week and review notes for the tests and you can easily get an A, i failed one test so got stuck with a B but her tests arent complicated - responds to emails quickly, one tip though try not to talk too much in her class she WILL call you out
Loved her class! I had to drop this class the first time I took it because I couldn't understand the teacher. She is super clear and more than fair. She does go fast, but I took her over the summer so I am sure she has to move quick. Definitely take her for Pre-Calculus Trig!
I did not like her. She was rude and unapproachable. Don't recommend anyone take her.
She is not tne eaisiest teacher, but managable. It is true her patience is really short she kinda caught an attitude with me when I asked too many questions in class, pretty rude, but in the end I passed, homework is a must everyday!!!! This is your ticket to passing the class literally, because w/o practice you will truely fail.
Mrs. McReynolds is a fantastic teacher. She is very nice but expects you to do your work and come to class. Do the homework and her tests are very easy. I highly recommend her for pre-calc trig!
She is rude unapproachable extremely hard to follow and she goes through the material WAY too fast. I did all of the homework and quizes and besides practice it was not at all useful to do it, because it does not help your grade. I had to drop because i was failing, and that was with 100% on all the quizes and homework.
I actually enjoyed the class for elementary teachers. If you are respectful towards her, she is respectful towards you. Come to class though! If you miss one day, you really are behind.
SHE'S COOL
Avoid this teacher, if you can! This woman has a really nasty attitude, you can HEAR what she truly thinks of her students when she's talking to a colleague in the hall, and in many ways, she lets you know she doesn't care! She rants often, and does not appreciate any type of questions. Please take this class with someone else!
She is very thorough & clear with her lessons. She has never showed any kind of attitude towards my classmates & I. If you go to class & pay attention, you should do well in your homework & quizzes. If you do well on them, then you should do just as well on tests. That should be no reason for failing the class, like someone previously noted. As a m
If you want a thorough understanding of ALGEBRA take it with this Professor. I was horrible in algebra and passed with B! I could've made an A but I made dumb mistakes on the tests! side note- she was never disrespectful in our class!
Professor McReynolds is an excellent teacher. Attend class and take notes. Everything you are expected to know is gone over thoroughly in class. I found that I rarely referred to the textbook because she always provided a clearer explanation of the material. She's a pretty tough grader but is very willing to help with problems. Highly recommen
Shes the kind of teacher that understands her material very well but cant really teach it. she expects you to get the material right away and don't even bother to ask a question because she either doesn't get WHY you don't understand or she starts talking to you like your stupid.I spent more time trying to copy the notes then actually understanding
She seems nice but she doesnt really know how to teach. She doesnt allow time for questions and rushes through the lectures. I will never take her agian. plus...she wears mom jeans.
I had Mrs McReynolds for Math 1115 and 1125. She's a great professor, the tests are just like the reviews. But you will have to go to class, missing just one will put you behind because the class moves fast.
She is great! I am horrible at math and I am actually learning from her. I recommend highly
Awesome class, she is a great teacher. She teaches so it is easy to understand. i recommend her.
Because of past reviews on this site I was scared to take her but I had no choice because she was the only one available. Although she seems a bit mean and unapproachable, she is GREAT! Her teaching method is the best I have had. I have failed this class numerous times but I am so proud to say I have an A and we are almost through with the semester
She is a great teacher. Plus the class is really easy as long you do your lab test and quiz. She is really helpful. Also, DO NOT MISS A DAY of her class because she goes really fast, but she makes it really easy to understand. Just do what you need to do and you will pass. Easy A!
She is a great teacher, she is very helpful and makes you understand what the lesson is. I recommend taking her she is great at what she does and you will learn how to do the work. It is easy to make an A in her class.
One of the most pleasant instructors I have ever had the pleasure studying under. She's friendly, explains material in a clear and concise manner, and gives every student every possible tool for success.
She is very fast paced so if you cant keep up i wouldnt take her. The very first class I was so scared i wouldnt be able to keep up but once you get the hang of it its pretty easy. You cant really ask her any questions while shes teaching but she can be helpful. I liked her as an instructor
I am currently taking Mrs. McReynolds. She is great and to the point. I will be taking her for Math 1115 and Math 1125. Mrs. If you take your education seriously, then take Mrs. McReynolds. If you want to pay college tuition to skip class and expect to pass on attendence; then take someone else.
She is extremely clear and thorough, however she does not like answering too many questions and can come across with a bit of an attitude, but overall she makes the material very easy to understand without any need for questions. Just do all the work and you'll do fine. I got an A and I'm not a math genius.
Great professor! She is always approachable and answers as many questions as you want. Her tests have no surprises, the homework and quizzes are harder than her tests. That being said, MAKE SURE you do the quizzes! Your overall quiz score counts as much as one test so that can mean the difference in a letter grade. Also, she drops 5 quizzes.
Best math teacher ever!Goes fast but will stop to answer questions and will offer help if needed after class. Must attend class and do mathlab. Very clear as to whaqt is needed in each problem and will say during lecturs 'this is a great test question' and 'this will be on the test.' This lady could make mud clear.
SHE IS THE WORST TEACHER DO NOT TAKE HER!!!!!
Returned to UNO after dropping out 20 years ago. Failed every Algebra class I ever took, including high school. Mrs McReynolds is by far the best math teacher I've ever had. Very down to Earth & fair. Only beef was MyMathLab, which was janky at times. I never once used the textbook. Her lectures were enough. Take her class if at all possible!!!
I think she is very good at teaching math. She is kind of maternalistic towards her class, so it seems sometimes like she is treating us like children, but I kind of liked it. When discussing how people did a problem incorrectly, she might say, "no, no, no!" She is great for curing math anxiety. I wish there were more awesome women math teachers.
Honestly, the class was pretty easy. I mean you're generally "learning" middle school and elementary school geometry. Do the work, be meticulous and show your work and you'll be fine. I mean, I got a 100 on the final. Politeness goes a long way with her.
If you pay attention and listen to her, it's not that hard to get an A. She is clear with her notes. Even if you've already done this, like me, the refresher she gives is extremely helpful. Being polite will get you very far with her since she is very maternal with her class. She is genuinely concerned if people aren't getting it so ask questions.
She's a nice person but don't rub her the wrong way. VERY important that you pay attention. Notes can go at a fast pace so just copy then comprehend. ALOT of hw and quizzes so make sure you get them done. If you truly apply yourself you should have nothing to worry about.
I took 12 credit hours over the summer. Math 1125 was one of them and I did fine. To get an A in this class, do the following: attend class, pay attention, do the hws, quizzes, and test reviews. Mrs. McReynolds is very helpful. She gives crystal clear instructions. Her hw's and quizzes are tougher than the exams. If you do your part, you'll pass.
If you go to class, pay attention and follow the directions then you will pass the class. Mrs. McReynolds was always available if someone needed help. She even tells you what will be on the test from the notes.
Mrs. McReynolds is a great professor. She has clear lecture notes and and posts them on Moodle. Sometimes, she has a bit of an attitude if you rub her the wrong way, but she's nice overall. Make sure to do your homework & quizzes. Hw are for practice and quizzes are for grades. Make sure to clearly show your work when you take your quizzes & tests.
I love her. She is such a feisty, smart woman. The lady knows how to teach, and she knows it. She can have a bit of an attitude sometimes if students aren't performing as well as she expects, but she is nice overall.
You have to pay attention in class! The first test was like a review but for the rest, you must pay attention! You may get confused at times, but she is always there in the math center to help. What helped me the most were study sessions with other students in the class. I didn't need the textbook at all, I just bought the MyMathLab code online.
Took her for a mini-session and she is great. Very clear explanation and encourages questions. Do not get behind in a mini-session! Keep up with the lab tests, homework and online quizzes and if you don't do so well on tests, they can save you a letter grade.
She is tough, but she cares, is very organized, gives papers back in a timely matter, provides great notes, etc. Math courses require a lot of practice, that being said, if you want an A, she gives you all the materials you need for one you just need to work hard and apply them.
Great professor. She writes clear and concise notes. She does have a bit of an attitude if you aren't paying attention in class as well as not understanding the materials, so be aware. Homework are for practices and quizzes are for a grade. Make sure to clearly show your work when you take your quizzes and tests. She does a test review too.
Great class with a great teacher. She always posted the notes online so if you miss something don't stress. Sometimes we had homework but its easy. I love her teaching style and I got A's on her tests. She made everything so clear. The math overall is pretty easy. Hardest part for me was how to use a compass but everything else was fine.
Shes a rude
Her lectures are very clear. Well-organized and well-explained notes. If you do the homework regularly tests will be very easy. Nice lady.
She's quite rude and unpleasant
Her test are pretty straight forward from the notes, so make sure you go to every class to take notes. She gives study guides and goes over them.
She's a great professor. Her lectures are clear cut and straight forward. She gives labs to students who only attend class that day, which account for 10% of your total grade, so attendance is definitely necessary here.
At first the class was really hard for me, but after getting into the swing of things I started doing really well. Mrs. McReynolds is a great teacher. She moves fast though. Go to class, take good notes, do homework and study. Don't expect an easy A. You have to put the effort in. Don't bother buying a book, just buy the code for my math lab.
She's a great teacher. Do your work and don't talk and you'll be fine. If you don't understand something she might make you feel stupid but she doesn't mean it like that. Don't take a TuTh class. I bought online textbook code.
Ms Pat Sue, or Mrs. McReynolds can seem intimidating at first, a hard no-nonsense instructor. She is, and; therefore, for a no-nonsense serious student should enroll in her classes. She consistently offered her knowledge after class during her office hours, and always encouraged her students to study more & to study hard. A true teacher!
She is the best teacher ever and I was so happy I took her class because she thought me a lot.
Mrs. Pat-Sue may seem harsh, but she's a terrific teacher. I took a class with her last semester & will take her again this spring. Tons of homework, but keeping up with it will make you better at math. She is a fair grader, returns assignments quickly, and makes herself available to help with exam preparation. Everything is done through MyMathLab.
Pat Sue has been the best math teacher I have had since I started at UNO. I failed the class the past semester, and have retaken it with Pat Sue over the summer. She is absolutely extraordinary. I mean, it's math, so it's not fun, but she does her best to make everything understandable. She tries to teach in a way that helps everyone succeed.
Mrs. Pat Sue is straightforward and expects you to learn the material. If you don't learn the information from the beginning you will struggle later. She was willing to work with my schedule issues and made herself available for help. Don't take her if you don't plan on learning and working.
I was honestly petrified when I got her as my math professor because of the reviews saying she gives a lot of homework, attendance matters, etc. but she is the most genuinely invested math teacher. I would 110% take her again! She gives weekly quiz that help out, and her test are exactly the material
I was really worried when I first started taking this class with Mrs. Pat Sue but she has been a great teacher! She goes over new material everyday and there is always homework and quizzes on MyMathlab. If you do the homework and take advantage of her office hours you will do great in her class.I would take her class again!she has been very helpful
PatSue is a great professor. The class was very easy and I already knew most of the material, but she taught it very well regardless. She is also so sweet (she thought she upset us one time so she brought us cookies). She does tutoring and had accesible office hours. Would take her for every class I have if I could.
My math lab instead of the actually book, that's all you need . Wish I would have know instead of buying a bundle that's still in shrink wrapping.. good, show up do ur homework and you will pass
She's a sweet heart. Reminds me of my grandma which is always a good thing. Gives you exactly what you need to know on the test.
Take if you can you will not regret. She gives you notes to print out and you come to class and fill them out. She also post the finished notes on moodle. She gives you reviews that are exactly as the test and she go over them in class. Shell also extend assignments if you need. Easy A even if you miss a few classes.
If you're not the best at math, she's the one to take. I saw her many times outside of class for help. Her lectures are great and she explains everything pretty thoroughly, so fire those questions away. If you pay attention in class, follow along with the notes and do the MML homework you WILL pass. Nothing is given, everything is earned.
IF YOU ARE NOT A GENIUS IN TRIG/MATH DO NOT TAKE THIS PROFESSOR. SHE TEACHES IT LIKE YOU ALREADY KNOW THE MATERIAL. SHE ALSO TEACHES REALLY FAST
Even though she talks to you like you are stupid and can not even do most her problems correctly, she is an alright teacher. Show up, do your work and then you will pass. If you like to see every single step then she is the teacher for you.
Best math teacher at Uno. She cares about her students and is always willing to see you outside of class to help.
If you attend, are attentive, and do all the HW and extra practice assigned, you will succeed. She cares a lot about your success. If you do everything she says you have nothing to worry about.
Mrs. Mcreynolds is an amazing teacher who gives LOTS of extra credit. If you print the lecture notes and come to class, it will be an easy A. She stresses this along with class tremendously. I would recommend her class to anyone.
Will take time during office hours to explain things to you, but has a short fuse and teaches you like you should already know you. Don't make "careless mistakes" or she will yell at you about it. Also will give zero credit on test if she can't understand your work completely or if you don't rewrite some of the equations in your work.
Prof. McReynolds taught me to establish the correct, meticulous habits necessary for the rest of my education. I went from being completely lost and bombing my first exam to a B in her class and As & Bs in every subsequent math class. She teaches you to work the problems in a neat, complete way that clears mental clutter and reduces math anxiety.
She talks down to you like you are a 4th grader despite her being constantly unclear... definitely a passable class, but one you are going to hate every minute of. She insists on everyone answering questions and showing every. single. step.
She's very good at teaching and has no problems explaining topics, but she does get noticeably frustrated. Her lecture style focuses heavily on class participation, and she will stop class until someone answers. If you can't handle a professor occasionally being rude, then find someone else. Also, be sure to show your work.
One of the worst teachers I have ever had! Talked down to the students constantly and got frustrated way too easily. Was never patient and never understanding. There were only a few times where she took my feelings and situation into account. I would not recommend this teacher. She even made fun of a student during class.
McReynolds gives quite a bit of homework but it is all easy & she is not a tough grader. She is VERY rude tho. She gets extremely angry at slight inconveniences and gets snippy with her students often. Her attitude is too much for me to handle so I would not take her class again unless it was the only option.
Ms. McReynolds is one of the best math teachers I've had to date. Her teaching was straight-forward and she was always willing to help if you had trouble. The class requires participation, but what math class doesn't? Homework and assessments were more than fair, and balanced throughout the semester. Would 100% take her again in the future!
This professor is great! She does get annoyed if you don't participate in class, but that's the only bad thing. You can tell she genuinely cares, and she wants the best for her students. She teaches trig really well, and for the most part i did well in her class
I went to her classes for extra help while taking the online class with another professor. She is the reason I passed and understood the material. I wish I could have taken her class from the start. She is kind and wants everyone to succeed and will sit with you until you understand
She was amazing and always showed that she cared. However, she has a temper if you aren't paying attention or are disrespectful. Easy class as long as you show up and do the work.
It was a good class as far as online goes, and the first time I've passed it despite retaking it at Delgado three times.
Patricia McReynolds is an amazing professor! I took her for Math 1115 online. She posts assignments a week before it's due giving you the entire week to complete them. Her lecture videos are clear and very understanding. Although she's an amazing professor be ready to be doing work. This is math which in general takes a lot of time doing.
