She is a very educated woman. She is clear, straight foward, and dedicated. Anyone who wants their mind opened up and a good challenge, I highly recommend her.

SHES AWESOME!!! She talks to you in a personal level. You can learn a lot from her. Her class will help improve your writing and reading skills. She revises other professors' papers with you. Shes not hard at all. She actually acknowledges your point and what you have to say and she definitely sees your efforts. She might seem ****y but shes NOT!

you need to work hard, but she is always ready to help you and make things easeir. She is perfect if you want to improve your writing.

You work for your grade in her class. many people dont like her, but she is without a doubt one of the best and smartest professor in that school. she cares for your education and not many do.

Milanes is great!Not many professor care about their students the way she does-takes time to listen N to work with U so what some of U out there need to do is check with the writing department/change UR majors b/c U can't ask for better than Milanes and Bisla-2 of the best!Better yet,U need to take Grass or Josephs N see what U think then.

Prof. M is not an easy an A, but life is not suppose to be easy. If you attent class, read the text she assigns, and do well on your papers you will be just fine. I hate English and was worried that I would fail this class and I got an A-.

Good teacher,

I had her last semester, her class is not easy and getting an A in her class isnt either. But she really challenges you to bring out your best, and I really liked her class because of the discussions. Plus she is hot for a teacher her age.

I'm just Going to say this. She is a great teacher, fun to be in her class, she always has an exiting discussion going on, Respect her, come on time, choose your words, don't argue and you will be great. I love her to death. Since I'm Egyptian and I'm used to respect professors, i had no problem with Prof Patricia at all. BTW she is EXTREMELY HOT.

She is a tough grader. I'm pretty good at writing essays and got a B. I looked at my friend's horrible essay's that he wrote and was suprised he got an A (if he was in this class, it would be a D). Should of took his class lol. However, the discussions in class were really awesome and I had a lot of fun. Daily homework(easy) & only two 3page essays

Great professor, you'll learn alot, makes sure you know how to write before you can get out of her class. Fair grader and she pretty cool...and nice!

She is a bit tough but really nice. Make sure you know how to write a paper well. She doesn't like bad attendance and lateness. She is helpful.

She is a really good teacher she told me in the begging of the class that i would fail because of my poor writing skills but she kept bothering me into becoming a better writer. Apparently I was worthy of a b+ so dont give up if she thinks you suck just try harder. The other positive thing is that she is very very very sexy. Very SEXYYYYYYYYYY.

I love this professor! She has a tough shell but is very nice. She is very understanding and funny. I honestly enjoyed taking her course.

Shes realoly great. her class is intresting. shes strict. PARTICAPATE alot ! she'll give you an A for sure. i recommend her, becuase you actaully learn. make sure your essay or strong and has a focus point and you will be fine.

She is not bad. If your writing level is low. Ask for help in the writing center. As a professor she is cool but needs to keep her issues home. As a student I did not learn much from her. You must seek for the help from her. There is no structure to her teaching. Good luck!

Basically, it depends on who you really are. Some people love her, some don't. Okay here it is. She is a feminist, atheist who is kinda bitter about the society. She does not tolerate lateness/absence. She is fair but when it is come to controversial issues, she thinks she's right and everybody is wrong. Good luck in her class. She is not bad.

students can learn a lot from her if they are open minded.She pushes her students to practice to think and write above their level. What is bad about that? It can only make you better prepared for grad school. Her vocab is amazing and i am inspired by that. She is tough but if you work well and attend class on time, she is a fair professor.

She is a cool teacher but is strict with attendance, she is very bitter sometimes, she is a feminist and atheist who thinks her opinion on life and most controversial topics is always correct. Best advice is for you to participate in class the more you participate the better.

She was an extremely good professor. She is truly the best at English. But she will chop you up if you have little to no skills at writing.

I learned a lot from Professor Milanes; not only about writing but how to be an inspiring professional. She is very helpful if you seek for help but she is not going to baby you. Know your stuff, go to class, and dont fool around. I would definitely love to have her again :)

If you want a good grade you'll have to work for it. She gives you exactly what you've earned. Come in and write bad quality work she'll give you a bad grade. If you want to earn a better grade she'll leave NO student behind as long as you meet her half way by showing effort.

She is a great role model for any female student; obviously educated and I loved the class discussions. You can speak freely, she sure does, as long as it's not "hate speech". If you aren't capable of writing academically do not expect an A in her class.

Professor Milanes is a tough grader. You do have to work hard and give extra effort to earn an A on her class. Her instructions may be confusing sometimes, but you can always ask her and clarify your confusions. At the end of the semester, you'll learn a lot and improve your writting skills if you take the class seriously.

Professor Milanes is a great professor. Class lectures are always interesting; discussions are open and honest. She is obviously very passionate about what she does. Although she is a picky/ tough grader, she will definitely make you a better reader and writer.

Realest Professor at york. Shes fun and vibrant but you will work for your grade. My grade may have not been an A but i became a way better writer because of her. I learned to cite, revise, annotate and properly construct an essay and grammar rules. Take her class its really good plus the stories aren't boring and you watch movies

She is a good professor but does make you work for your grade. It's not really clear what needs to get done to make your grade better. 3 papers and no final. The readings were very interesting, I enjoyed them. Tough grader, but you will learn from her and change your perspective on things. She helps you think otherwise

I took multiple English course with Professor Milanes. I thought she was an amazing professor. I was an English major that actually HATED reading until I met her. She mandated we learned and HAD to annotate in our books, which helped me Excel in my reading comprehension. I thank her for that...

If you are passionate about Lit, this course is for you. Prof Milanes is simply amazing. This course is very stimulating, the lectures are fun. You will not get any easy A, you get what you deserve. But she is very open to helping, assisting, and she will be very clear on what she's looking for. Take notes, read, ask questions, and you will pass.

Prof. Milanes is a great teacher, she is looking for progress. The instructions are very clear, just read , annotate and follow instructions. All the readings were provided, so I saved money on books. I can say after taking this class, my writing skills have greatly improved. You will have to work for your grade, don't slack off or plagiarize.

She can be strict in this class however you have to understand and respect how her protocol works. Pay attention to the syllabus, always READ never skip or think she won't notice, and just do the work and take notes and it's really easy. Her grading is clear and lectures are fun and engaging and you learn so much from her.

She's very sweet and keeps it real with you. However, she assigns a lot of homework and her reading are only nursing related.
