She reads her slides all class and takes her stuff straight from the book, basically you get the same info three times. The 233 class is very easy though!
easy class! no need to really go to class but it does help if she knows your face...guaranteed A if you just read her notes!
Wow, this class changed my life and the way I want my lifestyle to be. There are a lot of readings and supplemental readings but what makes up for this is that you don't need to go to class unless there's a guest speaker (and she has a lot of them come to class but they're very interesting, esp. the one with homeopathy). Tests are easy.
A very easy class. It's interesting to have guest speakers from time to time. She suggests to do the readings, however most of the questions she has on her exams are directly from the print out notes. An easy "A" class everyone.
a nice teacher... You don't need the book, just read her notes which are clear and you'll be fine. Very easy going class
Interesting class, good teacher and a NICE LADY! Very nice. Recommended.
Extremely friendly and approachable. Very understanding and fair.
I dont know why i hated this teacher, but ill assume its because i hated the class. She reads too much off projector, i cant deal with teachers that are like that. Also, she says 'UM' every 2 seconds and seems to have trouble finding words to describe things which in return distracts me. She grades easy though on assignments. Exams M/C -StudySlides
best teaher ever, enjoyed her class very much and i am taking her for two more classes
This class is very useful for life and the professor is great! She is very helpful. Class is very clear. Attend class and get your activity marks! Study the teacher's notes well and you'll do great.
This is an easy class with this teacher. You don't have to write an essay, and the exams are multiple choice and shirt answer. Very easy and she is an easy marker. Just read all her slides and read the book which isn't hard to do. I got and A- and I never showed up in class, even if it cost me 5% in participation..damn could have got an A.
amazing teacher, read the slides!!!you'll be fine
Basically same thing that everyone else said. Great teacher, easy marker, fair exams.
great class, very easy. Never went to class, just read slides extremely straight forward exams.
The best! Don't need to go to class, even when she has guest speakers (she posts the notes online). Half the questions in her exam come from the practice exam (just memorize the answers). Don't buy the textbook since all her questions on exams are based from her notes. Take both her classes (EXCI 204, 233) for an easy A.
Very very nice lady. Super easy class... you never need to go. You DON'T need to read the text book, her slides are great.
Maybe the best teacher out there. Is extremely helpful and clear. Lectures are kinda boring but she tries to make them fun and interactive. It is easy stuff to learn.
Incredibly nice teacher. Very clear with her material. Makes the tests very easy to prepare for. Tells you what you need to know and what you don't need to bother with. Loved her class and the material! Easy A.
Great teacher. Very approachable and always available to answer questions. I highly recommand her. This class is a GPA booster.
easy class, read the slides and skim the txtbk. she tries to get the class involved, but never really manages to. she tends to say "ummm" a lot, maybe 20 times a minute on average. i find it ironic that as an exercise science teacher, i saw her take the elevator to get to the 9th floor.
Professor Rehel is one of the best professors at Concordia! All her classes are extremely interesting and her exams and assignments are always straight forward and fairly graded. Take her if you can. You won't regret it!
Very interesting class, brings guest speakers and shows videos to make class more informative and interesting. If you attend class and do review problems you'll get an easy A
there is a bit of material u would need to memorize in this class but nothing mind bogling. she helps u. her mid-term was tricky but exam was a piece of cake. i would suggest this class to anyone learning the stages of life and what they involves.
Good person but not a good teacher. Not recommanded and avoid her. Very tricky exams and very hard marker too. Asks very detailed stuff that you even cant think of.
Incredibly nice and understanding professor. Save your money, don?t buy the book. You don?t really need to attend class either. Instead, just memorize her slides carefully. By doing so, her multiple choice exams will seem as easy as pie. And yes, she says ?ummm? frequently!
What are people complaining about? She's amazing. Exams are straight forward and she tests on material taught in class. If you read the textbook and her slides a few times you can easily get an A. The comments below must have been written by the same person over and over again! There's no way that many people would say such negative things about he
super nice prof, easy class, easy A+.
Very easy teacher and exams. She literally tells you exactly whats going to be on your test. Take this class to boost your GPA. Easy A
A very easy class! She posts all the powerpoint slide shows online, very friendly and open to answer questions. The exams are very simple: all multiple choice with just a few development question. No obscure questions, she tells you exactly what to find in the exam. An easy A. The only bad thing is that classes may be empty, as nobody attends them.
Just study the notes that she posts on moddle..and memorize them you will pass right away..She is soo helpfull and nice too
This is a super easy class. She seems really nice and approachable. Very accommodating- she makes every resource available to you. Lectures are a bit repetitive and seem to drag on and on. Her in-class activities, however, are annoyingly juvenile. I'm an adult (don't want to play with toys in class and take silly self-tests!) Great teacher, though!
EXCI 204 is harder then EXCI 233 and the other class she teaches.A nice lady, but you can easily not show up and memorize her lectures and end up with a great mark. The averages for her classes are always B+/A-/A. Just know the notes by heart, and do the review questions. Slow to respond to emails, 150+ per classes, go see her if u need help.
Excellent teacher who is very nice, professional and knowledgable
Awesome class and prof! Interesting material and easy exams, highly recommended!!
Prof. Rehel's course is very simple, go over the lectures and review questions and you'll do excellent on the exams, all multiple choice and some short answers and accounts for 95% of your grade. However, she does incorporate 5% participation, which involves little assignments where you feel as if you are back in grade 6 (mindbogglingly easy).
Her lectures are VERY dull, it makes you never want to attend class, and this course is extremely similar to CEGEP gym courses. But exams are very easy, just go over the material she posts on noodle, going to class is not really necessary to pull off a good grade. Recommended as an easy elective
This class is easy if you actually study. Yes some questions are idiot proof on but know the material. Rehel is nice, however she doesn't seem 100% comfortable in front of a class, reads from slides, and half the class leaves. BORING and kinda pointless to show up cos she posts slides on moodle. EXCI 218 AND 233 with her=easy with some overlap.
This was one of my best classes in my undergrad. Patricia is such a kind person. More teachers should be like her. I only attended half the lectures and I finished with a 98. The only thing is that she barely responds to e-mails.
Very nice teacher. Course was very interesting. Loved the guest speakers from cocaine anonymous, Concordia health centre, and the speakers talking about their eating problems. I definitely recommend taking her course!
I have a background in science, so this class was pretty easy for me. Lectures are a little bit boring, but the topics are really interesting. Patricia is really nice. She gives practice exam questions... that are in the actual exam. Would recommend taking this class with her!
She's a good teacher and seems pretty approachable. The class is fairly easy. If you do the readings, attend the lectures, and the study the PowerPoints she sends you then you are sure to pass.
She is a very good teacher, an easy marker and assignments are easy. However, her exams are only easy if you are excellent with memorization and are willing to read her basic notes, and the book prior to her tests, as her exams have only 5% of the questions from the practice exams. Only take if you enjoy memorizing.
Ive taken all three of her courses. 233 was very easy but I had a lot of background in the topic, 218 was harder but again I had a background in the topic-A+ in both. 204 was harder w/ more info- Got an A. Memorization is key but her MC are very fair. Very sweet & helpful in person. The topics are all useful things in everyday life. RECOMMEND!
The course consists of 3 exams and 5% participation. I stopped attending class as often after the 2nd midterm because of other course work as well as when I realized that the class attendance dwindled because attendance is not mandatory, yet the final class average was 82%. It is a great course, we had guest speakers from all sorts of backgrounds.
Okay here's the deal. She's not a guaranteed A that everyone makes her seem. Her classes require work especially this one. I had no science background and found myself studying my butt off memorizing 40 pages+ of lecture slides on how the body works and minerals etc... Yes her exams are multiple choice, but its not a given AT ALL. Think about it...
This class is harder then EXCI 233 but not impossible to pass. If your background isn't science then it might be a little tough especially the second part of the course but the first part and the third were easier. Be prepared to read the book and memorize her slides.
Amazing prof even if it was only for an elective class. Very easy exams as long as you do a bit of reading before hand. Super nice woman, and almost every week we had guest speakers invited to lecture the class. I learnt a lot, tons of fun!
Good teacher but talks non stop. She makes the class seem like it's double the amount of time that it is. However, she is very knowledgeable about her subject and explains things very clearly.
do not take her for exci 204!!! AVOIDDD i got an A+ in exci 218 and decided to take her for dxci 204 and it was the worst decision.
Extremely nice teacher, one of the easiest electives you can do. Only downside are her lectures, they drag on for 3hrs. Her midterm and finals are multiple choice and a few short-answer questions. Very easy to pass, just review her powerpoint that she sends.
The only hard part about this class is the teacher's disorganization. She gives you powerpoints, then a whole different set of notes she calls teaching notes, then tells you to read the book. Then, the test is from Mars. Its so scattered. Thank god I took BIO203 before, of id be lost. Don't go to class, she just reads the slides.
she is the most annoying teacher in university. She thinks she is teaching a PHD level course. It jut exci and she makes the exams more in depth than your actual program classes. I don't like her.
The thing with this teacher is that she makes the class harder than it is. She asks you to read the textbook (which i did not) but the textbook is too intense. The best advice i can give you is to attend class because you have in class assignments worth 20% and just go over her "teaching notes" and you should be good.
Took her for EXCI 233 (easiest class ever) and currently have her for EXCI 218. Showing up to class is pointless, all she does is read off the slides. Nobody participates, and listening to her is just painful. Read her "teaching notes" powerpoints and read the coursepack and you're fine. Exci233 was the easiest A+ and I'm not in BIO or EXCI program
I took her twice (EXCI 233 & 218). If you're looking for an easy A electives, take her classes. Her exams are easy. Just review her teaching notes and you'll be fine. The activities she gives are done in groups or alone. Plus, she lets you know in advance if there's an in class and you are allowed to use your notes. Super easy class.
EXCI233 is an easy A. Learn the "teaching notes" slides and you'll do fine on exams. The optional volunteer project is a guaranteed 100%, and the few assignments are a breeze. Go to class if you want to lessen study time, but it's not necessary. She's a good prof, kind of a pushover, but she's kind, accessible and knowledgeable.
Good and interesting class! Teacher is not really clear in her PPT because I do not understand why there is two different PPT, like the PPT called "teaching notes" She can only put the "teaching notes" on moodle as simple as that! It's an easy A! 1 midterm exam + 1 final exam (both multiple choices and short answers) + journal entries + activities
EASIEST CLASS EVER! I went to class maybe 2-3 times (including the midterm) and got an A. it's that easy. Easy online activities that boost your grades. she drops the lowest grades, which further boosts your average. A little boring though. (worth noting however that I'm in biology. You may want to read the slides a few times if you're not a BSc)
One of the nicest profs I have encountered at Concordia. Her lectures get a little long at times but she tries very hard to keep the class interested. Guest lecturers were awesome.
Lovely lovely lady. I took 204 and 233 with her. Shes very approachable and gives clear instructions for the assignments and tests. The information presented in the class is very interesting and useful for real life. Shes by far my favourite teacher at concordia. Would take her again in a heartbeat. Also, final is not cumulative ;)
Professor is amazing! It is true that this course is not easy like EXCI 233 but it is not too hard too! I got an A- in EXCI 233 without putting effort and I got A- in EXCI 204 too but I put a lot of effort since this class is more complicated but not impossible! You can get a good grade but you have to study well in this class!
I took both Exci 204 and Exci 233 Both of them are easy, all you have to do is study her teacher notes PowerPoint and take notes in her class but get ready some homework's. she's caring and amazing prof.
Amazing professor! Compassionate and understanding
You honestly don't even need to show up to class. The notes she posts after class tell you exactly what she wants you to know and what you don't need to know. Still, the lectures were interesting and she brought in a lot of guest speakers. Definitely an easy A+ but also a really fun, interesting, useful class in general! TAKE HER
It is rarely said that one person is a combination of understanding, class, and intellect. Dr. Rehel fulfills all such qualities in one individual. She is extremely knowledgeable, cares deeply about her students, and is always willing to help whenever needed. One of the best teachers one could have. God bless this woman. The real deal. A+ person.
She is the best professor I have had so far. Very nice and kind. I have a background on Exercise and Biology so the class was easy for me. if you want A+ and easy A, attend class because you will be questioned based on the speakers(guests) that come. if you don't come you can still Get A but you need to study, but Easy A- if you skip
She is honestly the best teacher I've ever had!!! She invites guest speakers for various topics (which you should attend because she does ask questions about the guest lectures on her exams). 2 midterms, a few journals and activities to do throughout the semester, an option volunteer project and a final. Her midterms are straight forward. LOVE HER!
Highly recommend. Very sweet teacher, caring, knowledgeable and easily accessible! Lecture heavy, but easy high school science level difficulty. 3 MC exams (gives practice quiz and review questions in advance!) Weekly journals of 300 words. Class activities, videos, guest lecturers and discussions make the class enjoyable. Would take again!
Patricia is an amazing teacher. This class is usually taken because its an easy elective, and it is but you learn so much. You do have to study and you should go to class But if you do that and you understand the material youre fine. Great class and professor.
Great person and teacher, shes so sweet and very knowledgeable. You dont really have to show up often because she posts all of her powerpoints w/ her teaching notes after class. Tests are fairly easy, the journals are literally free marks, she lets you choose between 2 grading schemes, I mean this class is a very easy A with minimal effort needed
This was a really easy elective to take! With minimal effort, you can get an A. However, with this class being online, the prof seemed very unprepared and only gave us feedback at the end of the semester, which prevented us from improving throughout the course. She also almost never responded to my emails, which was extremely frustrating!
Patricia knows her stuff and is very pleasant. The topics are genuinely interesting and useful for everyone to know. Grades were mostly posted at the end of the term, therefore, we can't really tell if we're doing well (I read the guidelines multiple times to make sure I'm doing everything well). Easy elective overall! Got A+ with minimum work.
Patricia is great. The course itself is graded on journals, short exercises and exams which were not difficult (if properly studied for). I learned a lot from Patricia even though COVID forced us to switch to online learning halfway through the semester. I would definitely take her again.
The entire class was on zoom but she would record them and post them online so we had access to them after. There are participation marks but overall with a bit of work very easy to get an A+ in her class.
Patricia is such a sweetheart! She is honestly the best professor I have had at Concordia. Her lectures are educational while still being fun! Also, it is extremely easy to do well in this class. There was no final exam; most marks were from biweekly mc quizzes and discussions. Attend the lectures and read the PowerPoints and you'll be fine.
The professor is super sweet. I felt bad when other students were talking over her on the Zoom sessions. She is a little disorganized as we had often needed to remind her of various things. We also had to change many things in the syllabus over the semester. The lectures take the whole time and the slides are about 30-60 each class which is heavy.
Dr. Rehel is extremely knowledgable and very interesting to listen to in her lectures. I feel at times she will go off on tangents but in general her lectures are clear and interesting. She is a very easy grader and the readings (I didn't feel) were necessary if you have a good base of understanding for the material.
Easiest class I have ever taken. A walking A+ if you FOLLOW THE REQUIREMENTS. Repeat after me: FOLLOW THE REQUIREMENTS FOR DISCUSSION POSTS TO A "T" AND WILL PASS WITH FLYING COLOURS. Some of the quiz content was tricky, but overall, she was awesome and made all of the classes really fun to attend. Also, you need to show up to get class marks. Fun!
Firstly, she is very nice. However, she never answers emails, and knows absolutely nothing technology wise, leading to a confusing course especially with dividing up groups for projects. She also sets up online quizzes for different days every time. We had an online quiz on a Saturday.... makes no sense.
If you know even the most basic things about nutrition you'll get an A. Attendance was not mandatory, and she recorded the lectures. I forgot we had a quiz so I e-mailed her and she let me do it. Assignments HAD to be done in groups which is annoying if your group doesn't do any work, other than that it's a good course to take.
I took her course in Fall 21 and she had uploaded the online lectures from the previous years as an option for those who didn't make it to class. I kid you not, I went to class literally twice all semester and ended with an A+. Just be sure to watch some of the lectures when you get the chance and memorize the texts/slides. Super easy discn. posts!
This a phenomenal instructor. I had a nice experience and learned more than I expected to. She knows what she is talking about and is extremely accomodating. She would, however, often lecture past course time. Overall, this was a great elective course and I am unable to recommend professor Rehel enough.
