By far the worst English teacher I've ever had! Didn't really answer the class's questions and we had no idea what she wanted us to do! The whole class failed!! Take Fernandez for English!!

I can not understand why this professor is still allowed to work in a college. I can't say teach, because she did none of that. Students were left guessing what is expected of them. She is unwilling to work with you on anything. STUDENTS BEWARE!

She is terrible. She is unclear about everything. She never explains herself, and if you ask her to clarify something she will only repeat what she just said word for word. She uses a messed up grading system that makes it impossible to get an A. Do not take her class. If you see her walk in your class leave immediatly!

Dont take her, She is a bad teacher. She gives work, but doesnt tell you how to do it. She doesnt answer questions. Its a class that you will not know if you are passing til the end of the semester. Dont take her class, she seems to like to see people not do well. It seems she gets a kick out of it.

She is vague, won't answer questions, won't explain assignments, and won't address your concerns. This is supposed to be an intro class, but she expects you to know the material. Many students have dropped the class, or even gone to the dean. I CANNOT UNDERSTAND WHY THIS WOMAN IS STILL ALLOWED TO TEACH!!!!! You must avoid this her at all costs!!!!!

...all I can say is that she doesn't know her english. She doesn't know how to use a grading scale or even grade.

STAY AWAY! She is a nightmare. Class start with about 28 students. Midway only 16 students were left. Now its 10 and dropping. She is way too strict, unclear about her standards, and not helpful at all. If anything, she is punishing you for taking the class. YOU CAN'T MISS A CLASS WHATSOEVER. Miss a class, you cant get credit for a-n-y-t-h-i-n-g.

She does not like to explain or answers questions. When she does explain something it's just reading off of paper and she's hard to understand. She will let you struggle and not care. I was so interested in this course before attending her class. She lacks clarity and the understanding that one would expect from a professor. The course could have been great but she is miserable. Pat Richardson is the worst.

what a joke! she is incompetent, argumentative, and unwilling to answer questions. i failed her final b/c she didn't like my handwriting. she said it was legible but just didn't like it. so despite my correct answers i failed it because my handwriting was not to her liking. Surprisingly, i finished the course a B. no one finished with an A though!

Unfortunately, everything that has been said is STILL TRUE!! (besides the last comment...are we talking about the same teacher?!)She seems to enjoy seeing how far she can go and what she can get away with. If she ever walks in a class I'm enrolled in, I'm out of there--and I was one of the ones she liked!! TCC let her go and save someone's sanity!!

Currently enrolled in her class, wish I would have known about this site previous to enrollment. She is without a doubt the Anti-Christ of English. She didn't even show up for class AT ALL last week. Tenure or not, she needs to get kicked out of there. It doesn't matter what others say, she hates everyone, regardless of ethnicity/culture/creed.

I took her for humanities 220, African American History and it is the worst class I have ever taken in my entire life due to her. If I would have known about this website I would have never in a million years taken it with her. Pat Richardson is a horrible teacher! On the second day of class she said "I don't lecture". She canceled 7 classes for "out of class preperation". I strongly believe because she is working on her PhD, she expects too much from entry level students..

I dropped her class after I asked a question and she blatantly told me that she couldn't help me. Also, she mocked a fellow student by making pretend crying noises when he explained his dilemma. She doesn't post grades, or respond to emails.

Dropped this class today so happy! WARNING to those in her class: Don't bother asking questions about her assignments or clarification on what she demands of the class. SHE WAS THE ABSOLUTE WORST INSTRUCTOR EVER! I am a sraight A student and turned in all of my papers and keep them. She marked down that I neve turned papers in and she said she never graded them...until I showed her all of them.Gives no kind of instruction and she mumbles so even when she does speak you cant understand her.

Horrible person. Doesn't respond to emails. Doesn't grade papers in a timely manner. Doesn't post the quizzes until weeks AFTER the syllabus says they're due. This woman is rude. TCC needs to remove her. She gives you a very short amount of time to complete work. Constantly changes dues dates. Unfair. Huge Regret!

Expects us to read four chapters in a week. She doesn't let you keep any of your work. Expects you to be able to find the one sentence on a page that she will put into the test. It was an Awful class. im sticking it out though and will probably get a good grade. Way to much work for one class. And she talks to us as if were below her.

Doesn't teach anything, just tells you to research different websites and read in the Successful College Writing book. Takes a week to respond to emails. When she does respond, answers are vague unless you composed your email grammaticly correct. Doesn't give full instructions. Waits to the last minute to make changes to the assignments.

I would'nt recommend her to anyone that needs assistants with learning. If you cool with doing work without teaching. And you arent human because you can't make mistakes. Then you may want to take her.

If you are cool with having to teach yourself even though we pay lots of money for the proffessors to try to help in anyway then she's good for you. Oh and you can't make mistakes it will cost you.

Do yourself a favor and take all the reviews here to heart; they are all true. Worst class I've ever attended. Her lectures are just sitting in class listening to her talk off the top of her head. Her teaching is very poorly structured. No transparency with her grading. Trying to understand how you were graded on a paper is a total mystery.

I don't recommend her class 100%. Her grading style is so crazy and not a good response for emails.

If you like a scavenger hunt, she would be the best teacher for you. She uses other university websites as insturctional material, instead of teaching.

I am regretting not knowing about this site before taking this instructor. I had early warning for example when she says the first day "I am not here to teach you, just review what you already know." She avoids answering questions directly. Very degrading and and constantly on the defense. Mkes the class very tense throughout the session.

This woman has a heart of stone with ice water pumping through her veins. Bitter towards the students, made one girl cry, purposely doesn't answer questions, grades way too strictly considering she doesn't teach us ANYTHING. One of our in class assignments: make a list of the qualities a genuine person holds, then read them out loud. what???

By far the WORST teacher I have ever had. Very vague in explaining assignments- I even came to her to discuss a paper with her for 40 minutes and she left me even more confused. During that same discussion, I aksed about my grade and she was of no help. She ALSO failed to make it available on Blackboard for our class to submit our FINAL EXAM!!

This professor is extremely hard and you need to be ready to teach yourself my best advise is to show up to her class on time and also try best on your paper. Nobody in my class got a C or higher in her class. I received a D in her class I was perfectly happy with that

The following is strictly my own subjective opinion of the professor: If William Shakespeare came back from the dead and took this class, he would receive a low grade. I don't care how good your writing skills are. If you take this class, you will receive a low grade. If you even pass this class that would be a great miracle.

It was difficult to ask questions without feeling the instructor would penalize my actions. After requesting to meet with the instructor, time and effort went void because she applied that college level students should be able to figure things out on their own.

Mean and rude. You can't ask a question without feeling stupid for asking it. SHe wants you to be confident in your answers but questions you on every answer you give. Regret taking her class 100.

She's rude, sarcastic and horrible with feedback. She'll make you feel stupid for asking a question but then expects you to be confident when asking. Really hard grader. If you don't write to the very edge of the page, she doesn't consider it a full page.

She keeps all the original papers you write, but gives you copies. The previous teachers I had gave back the originals. She has you sign a documentation that you have received the copies of your papers and assignments. She is picky about the paper you use for some reason the paper has to be 8.5 by 11" which is not in the requirements.

Vague in explaining assignments, horrible feedback on assignments, crazy grading. Participation matters but it is very difficult and uncomfortable to do so, the air is usually thick. She doesn't teachlecture , it is as though this is below her. I wished I knew about this site before I took her class. This is clearly just a paycheck to her

TCC has got to do something about this instructor. Almost every student has been to the dean to review her and get help. She is heartless, shows no sign of help, has no will to help students pass, and her grading is just down right ridiculous. She made me feel very small. Everyone in my class failed the first paper. I got an F on my first paper and she hardly pointed out mistakes. I'm a 4.0 GPA student, well I was before I took her class. I passed her class with a barely C. Everyone else said they had failing score by the last class. Students prayed for a D. The reviews here about her r absolutely correct. I wish I knew this website before I signed up for her class. She is absolutely terrible, she thinks that everyone sucks!

She is the worst teacher in the galaxy! I'm glade that I've dropped her class before the deadline. She is a horrible person who will makes you feel stupid. No lectures in a lecture class. It's a miracle that she's still a teacher. If u want a better school life, don't even walk close to her.

Her literature class does not focus mainly on literature. She is stuck in the minutia of writing and determines more points on proper usage than actual analysis. Her instructions on papers are to include more critical analysis while considering all the critical analysis you have written to be obvious and not critical while not giving a example

She's extremely rude and unhelpful. Her assignments are cryptic and you will get no clarification whatsoever when you ask. Instead of answering her student's questions she refers us to the syllabus whether the answer is there or not. On the rare occasion she answers she does it while making you feel stupid and ashamed you needed to ask.
