i had her last semester and I droped for personal reasons but she was a great teacher. She always made sure the class fully understood her. We did a lot of essay writting but we wrote about whatever we felt like.

Her grading system is ok, somehow easy to get a good grade in her class. She is a a really easy teacher, but she does teach you helpful stuff. If you want to learn sth and get a ideal grade. she is a excellent choice.

Mrs. Rose picks interesting topics.So once you get through it you understand it. She is not an easy teacher but If you really like english she is not a bad teacher to take. One problem is if she doesn't like you. I hope she has changed in that regard.

She is very clear. If you deside to take her class you will learn something. However, keep your phone to yourself she hates technology.

Prof. Rose is an amazing teacher. She is hilarious, picks great literature, analyzes material very well. Can be forgetful at times. Has a lot of experience. Great teacher. I just wanna let you guys know that Pat Rose is the same as PC Rose. In the schedule of classes she is listed as PC Rose. And yes, the P stands for Pat! she is great as long as you put effort into it. This is college for Christsakes, not high school! Now go study & turn off that TV u slackers!

Great teacher-- hard for some, but a very worthwhile class. If you have a decent to strong background in writing, this class should be a piece of cake. I really respected her. Reading material was never boring.

Oh my God, Rose was the best! I loved her! I guess being the star pupil of the class helped ;-), but she really supported me and encouraged me in my writing. She was always helpful and thoughtful. I will always remember and cherish her as a teacher (no matter how cheesy that sounds :-P)

Very nice old lady, always willing to help students out. You get to re-write your take-home essays and boost your grades. Not an easy class to get A, but definitely easy to pass. (If you do all the works that is)

Very eccentric and quirky lady. Explains the material from a historic perspective, which is essential in a 17th & 18th century literature class. Take her unless her class is offered W from 7 to 10pm. The mind isn't meant to study literature at those times.

Good teacher... a little crazy... but gets her point across... essays are easy if you are a compitent writer... its a reading and writing class... so don't expect to do much else

I love her class!!!! She makes everything into a feminist point of view, and at the same time doesn't degrade guys. I got a B in the class and believe me it wasn't hard because she is willing to help during office hours. Beware that u need to be there everyday, and not be tardy. But it is a college course so it is expected of you anyways.

She goes in full detail of the books you're suppose to read so, it may get a bit boring but nonetheless helpful if you're lost in your reading. I would def. recommend her. But you do need to pay attention in her class! She doesn't grade as hard as many teachers on the essays as long as you prove your point in the essay. Doesn't have much assignment

Professor Rose is a very competent, caring teacher. Her writing assigments are interesting and you can tell she is passionate about what she does. She is very helpful and tells you exactly what you need to do to improve your writing. Makes literature come to life! Loved her class, her personality, and my grade.

I learned a lot in her class. Her books are intersting. THe only thing I did not like is that she loves group work, and I hate it. Overall, excellent teacher. If you really want to learn to write effective essays, then take her class. By the way, not an easy A, at least not for English 1B.

Professor Rose was my first professor in college, she was very intimidating. it seamend like it was her way or the high way but truly i came to find that she's just there to mold people's minds and that she does wonderfuly. she is the best professor in the world.

She's a good teacher. Hilarious and sarcastic at times. She also lieks to put you on the spot, so beware! Do your readings, essays and you'll be fine. She doesn't grade too hard and allows one essay to be revised for a better grade! Reconmended!

Took her 7AM class for Spring. Your going to do work but she isn't that hard. 4-5 essays for the class. If your committed, she'll will help you pass the class.

I took her for summer and it was intense, but it is worth your wild. She's a great professor and you will learn from her class.

i just took her for winter and let me tell you she is super nice and funny. yea she is pretty strict in her grading in essays but she is willing to help u out. the only negative was her damn final which is timed essay...sooo be prepared for that. other than that i would recommend all of u to take her for english.

Took her in Winter 09. I will just make it simple and easily understandable. TAKE HER CLASS FOR THE PURPOSE OF LEARNING! unless you just want the easy way out... DO NOT TAKE HER. Period. Because she is the kind of teacher that really gives you what you pay for... an education not the easy way that makes you look good on paper.

Taking her at the very moment, i love her enthusiasm and she's funny great attitude, great teacher a REAL English professor who is very DETAILED and will give you the fundamentals and qualities to become a very good writer take her and you will learn English well. Easiest teacher ever! But she does talk a lot but they're interesting. Shes very helpful just don't be lazy. Answer all questions she ask in class and you'll be loved!! But if you're shy don't look her in the eye becos that is when she calls on you! Shes great I love her!!

Prof. Rose is awesome! She does make you work a bit, but your writing will improve. She is a fair grader and doesn't mind minor gram. mistakes. She's witty, but she can ramble a bit. Work: 4 journals (2 paragraphs ea.), 3 essays. The final & midterm is in class, but you may use your notes. I love, love, love her! I've learned so much! Thank you!!

Professor Rose is a pretty easy professor. You can tell what her political agenda is but that is what makes her interesting. She favors veterans so if you are one take her class ! Her writing assignments are creative so if you lack creativity don't take her class. But I loved her cause she was extremely helpful!

Currently taking English 100 with Prof Rose. She is very funny and is always there to help with your writing if you take the time to approach her. If you take school seriously you will enjoy her!

Pro. Rose was a nice and caring lady. She has her favorites so if you want to do well in her class, make sure you're one of those favorites! Besides that, just do the work she gives you and you should have no problem passing her class.

I took Professor Rose during the summer... very helpful, funny, clear on her instructions, friendly, lots of group work, and continuous essays... I wasn't that good in English, but I passed with an A. If I can do it in 6 weeks, you can definitely do it in a full semester... just sayin'. TAKE HER, SHE IS THE BEST!!!!!

She's a pretty cool teacher. She made one of our really hard essays extra credit due 2 months later, her quizzes are easy (MUST read material, though) and she usually gives us very easy books/poems to read. Her quizzes aren't tricky and our first in-class essay, she let us re-do it for better grade. She's funny, very sarcastic and shows cool films

Classes are structure and well organized. Very nice teacher, helps you after class. Easy Quiz and Test. Just do your work and see her after class with essays and you will get an A.

3 (4 pg) essays & TONS OF STUPID GROUP PRESENTATIONS. Minimal reading (1 BORING book & some poems). More of a speech/feminist class. Explains material thoroughly & offers help. Doesn't grade too hard. No EC. Calls you on the spot (HATED THAT). Can be intimidating & snobby, but funny. Talks A LOT. I did learn some writing skills. 'Easy' B ('hard' A)

One of my favorite teachers so far! She's so funny and very nice. Even though she may seem strict at times, she can be very helpful and understanding with whatever problems that come up. She's always available during office hours. She really cares for her students and wants them to succeed.

She knows how to make the class becomes excited altho the class is 3hrs long. You'll enjoy her class. Do ur work, turn em in and u'll be fine =) she'll help u

As far as homework goes, this class is relatively chill. You'll only get papers and readings, and 1 or 2 outside assignments that are hardly require a lot of effort. If you're a competent writer you should do fine. Her grading is a little iffy though. I was lazy and failed a reading test and 2 quizzes, which should have dropped me to a B lol

Prof. Rose is a person truly dedicated to her job of teaching. She is a outstanding person and role model. Meeting her has inspired me in so many ways. I learned an incredible amount of information and skills in her class. You will not regret taking her class.

Her class is a lot of work, she tries to fit as many essays as is possible. She grades fair, just does not give enough time to complete essays. I got an A, but spent so much time on this class. She will assign projects and essays that are due on the same day. Lots of reading, any reading test are hard and very specific. Participate to boost grade

Prof. Rose is such a wonderful professor. English is not my favorite, but she gave so much helpful direction and guidance that I REALLY loved analyzing and writing papers. She is very intelligent and really does want her students to succeed. Definitely recommend everyone to take. NOTE: She provides A LOT of important info every class so ATTEND.

This teacher is not that easy because she won't pass anyone unless if you could do a better job with the thesis. She'll make the essays harder, so she could prepare you for the next English level.

Just stay on her good side. Shes really sarcastic. I've heard for Engl 1A she grades hard. Engl 100 she was pretty easy. Lectures are long and boring. She doesn't like it when people yawn in her class. But she was alright for English professor

As long as you put in the effort you will pass. She likes to give group projects, but she grades them very leniently. I got As on both group project. Same applies to the way she grades her papers, as long as you put in some effort you are going to be fine. Gives extra credits also.

I'm under the impression she's a feminist, based on the majority of our assigned readings. Very helpful when you go to office hours or stay after class to ask questions. Put in the effort, and you will do well.

I loved this class and I am really happy that I attended her class. She made me a much better writer and she always tells you "You WILL pass my class." She's not very strict and lets you revise most of your essays; her instructions are very clear and responds to emails fast. She's very witty and will leave you being inspired as you leave.
