Is the most bitter prof. and will not help you at all
This teacher is freaking crazy. She is so grouchy and she makes peoples self esteem low by shutting them down all the time. I felt so stupid taking her class. She's very anal and takes the class way too seriously. You'll be lucky if you get a C+!
Whoever say that a good teacher overall must be crazy. She questions students about their majors try avoiding this professor at all cost.

She is hard but very good in teaching. explain everything right to the point. You need to do the reading before class. I got an A because I did the work. 'A' is not too far from your grip as others said, you just need to study.
I thought she was great and even though I have left the school I still keep in contact with her. If you seek her help she will help you if not then your own your own over all shes A+

professor schneider is a good teacher.Shde enjoys what she does and encourages class participation. If she sees you put an effort in, she is very helpful. Although i didn't like the way she taught the class, her tests are easy if you study. She does seem a little condescending but i just dont pay attention . All around, she's a good teacher

She is a walking nightmare! After a month I had to drop this class! I don't mean to brag but I am an A student. I tried a lot but she made it impossible! Don't take her unless you are really damn smart. She will make you feel stupid, her tests are hard (50 multiple choice questions in 50 minutes), taking notes is not enough, READ THE BOOK!!
Avoid her. Very much forms an opinion right away only treates some students well. Scarey. Ruined my disire to study. Dropped after first quiz.

Dr. Schnedier definitely knows her stuff. Not an easy A, but if you're planning to go to med school or at least thinking about the health professions...SHE IS THE ONE you should seek after. OMG--the class started with almost 40 people. After test 2 which most people got less than 60% tons of students quit. I should have, I stuck and got a D! There were about 12 us left and we work real hard, but she didn't care a bit. Everyone I talked to got a C, D, or F. She won't teach you enough to make it worth it. Avoid her like plague!
Avoid her. She knows bio well, but seems to despise teaching, at least at this point in her career. Schneider is condescending and generally rude. In fact, I've only heard of one decent bio prof at QCC. If you can, wait until you transfer to take bio...the chem department at QCC is FAR better here.

She'll give you the best introduction to Biology, and let you know at the same time, if you have what it takes. You will know it at the end of the semester, if you've survived!
She is a tough professor,but she's straight to the point and likes her students to be inquisitive.Her test's are straight from the books and her notes, no surprises.If you show interest to the course she will defenitely help you out,if you don't, then pray that you pass on your own will,bcuz there are no freebees in this class.you earn wat u get.

I do not like to pre judge professors but I have nothing so say about this professor, only that she is one of the best.
Students need to stop saying that this professor is hard or difficult. I had her twice and the very first day of class she told us that If you are not a science major to get out because you will not like me after grading. for those science majors it wasn't a problem but for those who were not failed. She is ok, but she warms you.

Dr. Schneider knows biology well, but she does not belong in academia...research suits her better. She is known to bully to faculty, staff, and students who do not properly engrace themselves to her. Dr, Schneider is a smart professor, yet the way she teaches is not clear. She writes notes all over the board. She knows her stuff, it's just that she can't explain it well to the students. The tests are hard, you have to read, her notes aren't clear. If you want a great professor it's only Dr. Gadura. They should take lessons from her.
Schneider has a nasty attitude. However, I feel that her material was easy. I think many students get intimidated by her because of her demeanor.At the end of the day you pay for the class and don't let her take your money. If you study, you can make it. If it wasn't for her attitude, she actually is good.
I really tried to like her. It is clearly evident she knows her stuff. She only goes over a fraction of the material she expects you to know on the tests. She insults the class openly. She has moments of caring about you but she seems to be long gone and completely jaded.

I have taken this prof, and i must tell you that she is the worst. #1 worst prof, in the school. She may know biology well, but she doesn't know how to teach it to the class. There is nothing wrong with her notes, her lectures are actually easy to understand. Her exams are the actual problem,they are hard.Very few questions come from the textbook and the review book Q&A. Although the exam questions are from the notes, they are not directly related. She is intimidating, but will become encouraging if she sees you trying.

Please stay away from this professor unless you're looking for a real challenge in Biology. During an exam a student went to take out a pencil and she scolded him for the possibility for cheating. I believe shes one of the most smartest biology Professors out there, but like I said... take her if you want a challenge
one of the greatest biology professors at QCC! her tests are not that hard if you answer what's on the syllabus. she will help you when she sees you trying. you must stop being lazy and read the textbook!! you expect to learn biology just by going to lectures?
This professor definitely knows her stuff. What intimidates students the most about her is her brusk personality. She definitely keeps you on your toes but also praises those who study hard & do well in class. She has no patience for students who slack off & ask dumb questions. She's not the worst professor I've had but she comes pretty close. Take her if you KNOW you're good at science and if you're the type of person to study for hours every single day because that's the only way you'll pass. Biology itself isn't easy but this professor really shows you how hard it is.

Dr. Schneider is amazingly knowledgeable in her field. She's a little rude but don't be afraid to approach her as she is helpful. She lectures fast as you are expected to study to pass. She is one the hardest professors. More than 80% of the students in lab and lecture will drop. She's extremely aggressive and expects everyone to be prepared prior to class. She's available during office hours and I only recommend that you go if you have thick skin and know the answers to questions that you have(pointless). I passed & so can YOU

I honestly don't get some comments here because I think she is an amazing professor. Yes she is meanrude, but only when you're being rude to her. Don't expect her to not say anything when you're on your phone during class. Anyone would be pissed if they saw that. Anyway pay attention in lecture and write everything down. Khan academy helps A LOT.

Dr. Schneider has definitely been one of my toughest professors, but I am very thankful! The class was afraid to answer questions, but don't! She will respect you more if you show interest! I am a bio major. I've taken previous bio classes. And I know a good professor. She is def one I do not recommend. She does make you feel stupid I've read and read and I got a C in the class. On my tests? I got 1 A and the rest bs . The lab ? Really tough grader but have never got a failing grade. I had to re take the class! Dif prof and I got a A

I personally like Prof, Schneider. She is very abrupt but she cares and she wants you to think. Bio is not for memorization, you have to understand the material and that is what she ultimately wants. I feel as though people judge her too much. it's college, you're going to get worse so grow up. She cares enough to tell you how it is.

I love biology. I hated being taught by this professor. She's a good person, even though she's impatient and quick to anger. She just wants her students to succeed. I think I failed almost every exam but was saved with a C because I had a good lab teacher. Lecture HEAVY, hard exams, don't take her if you want a good grade.
I had her as my professor and I did not understand anything she was teaching. Biology is hard but Im retaking it now with a different professor and definitely understand more now than I did when she was teaching it last semester. One of the best professors. To be honest, at first she seemed like a nightmare. But she's a really nice, though awkward, person. She appreciates when students try to get good grades in her class. If you're lazy and it shows in your grades, consider taking someone else. She scared 89% of my class last semseter. But she warms up on you. 9/10.

Heartless. Avoid her. She got mad that me and some others were late. She never told us the room had two doors (one was locked). I also missed a 3 classes due illness and showed her documentation . I wanted to see if there was work needed to make up. Her response:"I DON'T CARE IF YOU HAD OPEN HEART SURGERY, YOU'RE GOING TO FAIL THIS CLASS"

Im sorry i love Biology but she is the worst teacher ever trust me if you see her name on who is teaching you i suggest you leave. Professor Schneider makes you work. 5 exams and two extra credit or hw's. I feel like it was good to take three one-hour classes a week (Heard a 3-hour class was too heavy). Biology is itself a heavy class, dont blame the prof. You need to go over your notes before class, pay attention, catch up on notes, read the review for each chapter in thebook
Don't listen to the reviews that say you just need to pay attention or study. I studied everyday before her class and after and what happened in lab made no sense. She said I should study more even though throughout the week I consistently studied the material. She talks to you as if you've been doing biology for years. Don't take if you can avoid.
does not give out review sheets, extra credit or homework. Most of your grade is test so if you fail these test there is really no chance of bumping your grade. I personally prefer homework just so I have a chance to go over material and understand what i should know but this wasn't the case for this class
Alright, Im here rating prof Schneider 5yrs post taking her class. Note to all whinners, a home which has an easy opening door is probably not the safest. Prof Schneider is prob the toughest at QC but one of THE FEW who will prepare you with independent surviving skills. In larger colleges you'll be stampede on, so independent survival is key.
I currently have her, she's a nightmare. She snaps at you for any question even if it's bio related. She gives you 40 questions with 50 min and expects you to memorize labs and lectures word for word, if not she counts it as cheating. The extra credit work is not enough to help. I have an A in Lecture and i'm taking tutoring, its not enough to pass
If you want to get yelled at through a screen go ahead and take this class. Im telling you if you wanna have nightmares when youre sleeping every night before your exam, go ahead and take this class.
She is good a professor but get ready to read. She is the kind of professor that when she teaches you wont just get it and you will have to go study back at home. If you have any issues you could meet her at office hour.
Professor Schneider, as any professor, is very knowledgeable on the course. However, her style of teaching might not be for everybody. She teaches fast which is fine but she often gives an attitude when asked a question, I really hope she fixes this because she has a lot of potential. You can really get bored sometimes. Personally, I did fine.
Her handwriting isn't the best and asking her questions can be tough, has a little bit of attitude in her. I will say that she is a decent lab professor she goes through the experiments and checks up on each student. She gives out extra credit for things like putting away a microscope properly. She's not for most students. Her test are fair.
Im writing this review post bio201 circa 2014... everything about Dr. Schneider's "attitude" is accurate. She can be a bit snarky and impatient however, she does warm up to you. She wants to see her students succeed. If you build a relationship with her, you can use her for recommendations if you want to further your education (i.e med school).
She may come off as 'rude' but she really does want nothing but the best for all of her students. She prepares you for transferring to a university and critical thinking skills. Her exams are straight forward if you study the labs, and the lab report is easy if you put the time in to get a good grade. A class if only hard if you don't study.
I would've gotten a better grade if I took the other reviews seriously and memorize the labs to pass her quizzes with high scores. What kept me going was the 90 on my lab report, so I tried my hardest on the last quizzes. It was that point where I was really striving to get the credits because it's better than failing.
She's a very hard grader and is very rude. I have personally seen how she yells at her students and I can say that it is unacceptable. Her classes are unorganized and not practical. Imagine she has 45 students who think just like me, if you want to take her class be ready to be yelled at and doubted. She does not encourage students' success.

Dr. Schneider is my lab professor. Her class isn't bad but isn't for everyone. She's a tough grader and expects you to be well-prepared. Make sure you can self-study before taking her class. If you preview the materials and understand her explanations, you'll do fine, but asking questions already covered might get uncomfortable responses from her.
This professor is not a good professor at all! She constantly yells at students and says slick comments about them. When students try to ask her questions she often yells and asks them why they don't know the material. She doesn't teach well at all and expects you to know everything in the class. You do not want to take her class!

If you hate working hard outside of class, Professor Schneider's class isn't for you. But if you're willing to put in the effort, you'll be totally fine.
This professor is horrible! I had to drop the class, How is it a professor that is paid to increase a students knowledge going to let the student knows blatantly that she is not looking at the work the student is trying to understand? She directed me to go to YouTube for answers. As an adult student I was left feeling small and unaccomplished.
The worst decision I made was taking this class especially for lab. Yes it a hard course yet she makes the class harder than it had to be with her approach towards students. Asked her questions seemed annoyed and also said YouTube it. No clear guidance or direction. Save your time and money please.

rolls her eyes at every question whether its procedural or content and openly insults her students. huge ego problem and probably only still here due to tenure. dont take her. also discussed a student's private accomodations info in front of us w a coworker, which HAS to be illegal.
She YELLS at students, like screams in their faces! Thats my entire review! Screams at students on a regular basis for absolutely no reason. Also her grading is something, this class should be an easy A if you studied, but no matter how correct your answer is, she'll find a way to take off 2 points here/there until you're at 70%. Waste of time!
After first exam, realized her slides and teaching were useless. She gets mad in lecture if u can't comprehend/ask questions. If u ask questions that seem obvious to her she gets frustrated, if u do not ask questions she tries get through as much material to "force" it on you. Avoid this class at all costs, you will ruin your grade/switch majors
Truly awful. Often times incoherent and just such a nasty demeanor. Was always respectful but that didn't help with her miserable attitude. Every single student in my class including me was met with nasty responses and snide remarks. Drop the class.
She was confusing and sometimes it look like she didn't know what to do and what she teach wasn't on the test, it other topic she didn't cover or just pass so fast, and she was always mad and asking for help, she will get mad
