Steinke has very good notes(Power point presentations) and the class is pretty easy, if you study the notes ALOT. She also offers a do it yourself review.

She is a very good teach, her tests & class can be difficult if you dont attend class and take notes (which are really easy just copy off PP). Her tests come directly off the notes. She goes perty fast in lab, so you may want to set time aside to go back and review the materials.

Her class is hard but shes a badass teacher. The first semester is easier than the second. Lab practicals are a sheet of paper with 50 blanks on it. I made and A the first semester and didnt study at all. I made a B the second semester and studied my ass off.

Mrs. Steinke is the best science teacher by far. even though the material is hard she makes it very understandable. She gives good notes and if you study using them you will pass. She even gave a review final which is unheard of in the science dept. I recommend her over anyone.

Steinke always seemed to have a wandering eye over to my direction. I don't know, I guess she thought I was cute. Other than those odd instances she was a great teacher. Patricia was always helping someone out, plus her just being in the room stepped things up a notch. She loves her job.

She is absolutely my favorite teacher in the world. The class is enjoyable and not difficult if you show up to class and take notes. She breaks everything down and gives you real world examples to help you understand everything. I took her for AP 1 and 2 and general bio...I wish there were more classes for me to take from her.

She's real tough but she's fair. She's helpful and funny and wants to see you pass but she expects you to bring your A game. You slack, you do bad that's how it goes. You will have to study. This class is not an easy grade but it's not impossibly hard either. Best Bio teacher San Jac's got by far.

This was the hardest class I took at San Jac, but it was well rewarded after. If you want an esay A, don't take her. But, if you actually want to learn something, she is awesome! You don't use the text but make sure you have the lab book! The beginnig of the semester is hard but it gets better. My grade went from a low D to a high B by the end.

WONDERFUL TEACHER!! gives u plenty of notes online and in lecture . detailed power points that really help. she wants u to learn and do well in the class. answers question so that ull understand them , offers xtra credit . the class is HARD but she gives u all the resources u need to pass with an A just study !!

She is a very good Bio professor. Makes lecs fun with her funny stories. Labs help understand lecs more bc you get to do experiments. Tests: 3 lec(65 Qs) + 3 lab + 1 final. If you score higher on the final she'll replace your lowest lec test grade with your final. Final is super easy. I had a 70 avg before the final and ended up with a B after it.

I took Professor Steinke in the summer of 2007. It was a fast paced Bio class and I still managed an A. I loved the way she taught and the labs she had setup for us. Its an easy A if you like science related classes. All common sense stuff. EASY!!! Shes a nice woman too... very easy to talk to.

Amazing professor right here! She is profoundly interesting and consistent. The material isn't the easiest, but no student fell behind that was working hard. She has made me consider switching to a science major. And most of all, she made me feel like I could something important...amazing person.

Patricia Steinke is a very down to earth teacher. She knows what to teach and how to teach it. Take notes and attend class every day and you should do fine. Even though the subject to me was very hard, it was not hard to do well by putting forth an effort in her class. Steinke is a great teacher I would recommend to anyone.

Great professor. Best science teacher I've ever had. She's very straightforward, has a good sense of humor, and made a subject I don't too much care for rather enjoyable. You won't use the textbook too much though it's nice to have, but the lab manual is a must. If you just want to knock your science hours out and what not then yeah, pick Steinke.

steinke is awesome. write down everything she says and study. you will receive an A. Theres not a stupid question you can ask her and she always goes above and beyond answering your question so you understand. only downfall is cat dissection stinks (literally) but you have to do it!

Yes, you DO have to read the txtbook, take the quizzes, take notes on what she says, & study for the testslab practicals to pass. That being said, I absolutely LOVED professor Steinke's class. She uses funny stories to make the lessons understandable, & is always ready to answer questions. She also offers plenty of extra credit! Great professor!!!

Steinke is a very nice lady. You will also learn alot about the subject, but be warned 4.0 seekers, this is not a class for you. Her class is 8 grades, 1 of them being online quizzes, 7 tests worth 12.5% of total grade each. Lots of studying. Expect to pay $200 for textbook and online pass. Professor Steinke is a remarkable instructor that genuinely cares about the success of her students (not to mention she is hilariously sarcastic). Of course, anything truly worth while requires a degree of effort and I would argue that Professor Steinke's class is well worth it. #SteinkeRocks

Awesome teacher! Keeps class interesting and loves to joke around. Science is a hard course so its not a walk in the park. Read over the lecture notes a few times and you're almost guaranteed a B on the test. Online quizzes, very easy, can use the book. Easy A on quizzes!!

She was an awesome professor! She loves what she does, and it shows. As long as you show up, pay attention, and do the test reviews, it's a piece of cake! Sometimes the practice tests have questions on the real test, SO DO THEM! But be careful when you do that, she may change up a word or 2.

Test are tough, read lecture notes and test reviews, some answers from the review are on the test! She loves matching! Know definitions. PP are not on BB.

I would recommend ms. Steinke to anyone! She is a brilliant professor and obviously loves what she does. Don't get it wrong though, she is tough and loves to challenge you. This professor is awesome! Grades for tests are posted literally 2 hours after we take them, she gives you so many extra credit opportunities, but I will say you have to earn your A. Work hard & you'll get results plus actually LEARN biology. I personally read all the chapters, I suggest you do too.

Professor steinke is a really great professor!! You must attend lecture either wise you will miss the lecture notes, she does not give you access to the power point lecture notes so you are gonna have to get ready to write write write a lot , she helps out a lot though if you have any questions in lecture or lab. prof steinke is AMAZING! i took her for A&P2 and lemme tell you, it was not easy. PP are not on BB so attending lecture is kinda mandatory unless you have friends to hook it up. exam reviews are almost identical to lecture exams. she loves matching on exams too. study that cat well too! overall you have to work for your grade, but shes very helpful

Absolutely LOVE her. Taking her for BIOL 2404 and she has made it a wonderful and fun experience. Her lectures are interesting, she makes conversation out of it and give multiple choice tests! I will take her for any other science class I end up needing if she's available! Best teacher I have had so far into my degree!

i have taken ap classes before and this is the only one i actually learned anything in! steinke is great - lecture is not boring . you have to take notes as she does not pass anything out or have it online but she has test reviews and practices. its not a free A but if you are taking this class you need to learn the material. Her reviews are pretty good but make sure that whatever is on the review that you look more in to the information because sometimes they will be tad bit different on the exam.

Overall, Professor Steinke is a sweet Professor. Everything she goes over is explained in a way that any person of any background can understand. Her material is outlined and well defined, and while difficult, can be understood in time. She also makes sure to learn everyones names and genuinely cares about her students success.

I took Ms. Steinke for A&P 1 and she was an amazing professor, yes the class is hard, but she makes it 100 times easier. I took her for A&P 1. She explains everything very well and is able to break down difficult topics in a way most students can understand. Yes, there was plenty of extra credit opportunities. Professor Steinke is an amazing professor! She explains everything in detail and by far the best biology professor I have taken. Example, she asks if we know the terminology and some say yes and some are shy to respond and she still defines the terminology. She is available before and after class

Her tests are based on blackboard posted reviews and her lecture notes (power point) I made quizlets over the lecture notes & reviews and got an A on every test. Anyone who complains that this class is too hard is NOT prepared for medical school and its better to know that beforehand.

I am surprised by the low ratings. Professor Steinke was wonderful and made class fun and interesting. Attendance is mandatory online. No BB assignments. 2 chapters a week, 2 assignments due, and 2 quizzes. Tests were over about 4 chapters at a time, final is cumulative. Very easy class! Highly recommend!

This professor was very good at explaining the materials needed to pass the course. However, she didnt offer any extra credit. I passed with a B plus. She was very caring and understanding especially during the online courses and pandemic. Id definitely take her again!

Professor Steinke was very fun to take. Lectures were great. There are 4 lecture exams, final exam, about 19 quizzes each with another assignment, they are very easy btw! 2 important assignments, again very easy. I would definitely take her again if I could. Passed with a high B. Very understanding through out COVID situation, and replies quickly!!

Favorite teacher! I wish I could take her for every last science class I have. She's extremely caring and really enjoys teaching, very knowledgeable, lots of EC opportunities. Every science teacher I've ever had was terrible, but I'm so grateful to have taken Prof Steinke's class.

Do the work/study and you will pass but if you try to wing this online class you WILL FAIL! LOTS of work -weekly worksheets, quizzes are EASY (google) , the 5 exams are HARD and you can not google your way through exams. You have to use a lock down browser so no cheating possible. She posts good videos but unless your a nutrition major GOOD LUCK!

Professor Steinke definitely knows her stuff. There are a ton of lecture and Lab assignments. Labs can be difficult and she never goes over any of it before or after. I was 2 points away from a B and had she allowed me to make up the work I missed when I was at my mother-in-laws funeral, I would have got the B. Thats the only issue I had...
