you just have to show up and take notes. No need to read the book. Her notes are power point and she only tests over what she says in class and not the book! lots of extra credit opps.

Good teacher. She is very clear with her notes. If you study for tests and come to class you will do well. Quizzes are easy and worth 10pts extra credit on your final average!

Biology is pretty hard for me, but the power points do help in this class. You have to show up to class and take notes. Don't wait until the end of the semester to study for the final. Overall, good professor.

class notes come directly from the book, word for word. you may not even need the book, but it is always better to be safe than sorry. keep up with the class, because she has pop quizzes that are easy (if you stay on track.)

Cites word for word from book. Not a Phd, Masters though. Seems a little shakey on some subject matter but all in all a fine instructor and y helpful. Slow to reply to emails.

It's not going to be the easiest class you've ever taken but for biology its pretty freakin easy. She explains everything so that you understand but doesnt baby you. Plus her quizzes are super easy and extra credit( a whole letter grade!)

This class is easy as long as you go to class and take the notes. She offers a lot of extra credit points on the exam. Make sure to do the extra credit it helps.

Great teacher, very nice...I don't see how people fail her class, she gives every chance in the world for people to pass...10 extra credit points on every test and a total of 10 points on the final grade....I enjoyed her as a teacher.

As long as you read a little and take notes in her class you should do very well. Her quizzes are a breeze as long as you go through your notes before hand and her extra credit will help you dramatically. You shouldn't come close to failing her class.

She puts the notes on the overhead, so you know what to get. The quizzes are easy as long as you pay attention in class. Very helpful.

Easy teacher if you goto class. For each question right you get on her quizzes, she adds a point to your final average for a possible ten points. Tests are kinda hard, but she gives you the bonuses before hand

This class is a Guaranteed A! Just dont listen to her in class AT ALL, show up, take the notes, go home read the book and use the CD from the book. She gives you every chance to make an A. But she also explains thinks with too much depth. That can get confusing if you can't tune her out.

She is a great teacher who is always willling to help. Her lectures were mainly powerpoint, and explained all aspects clearly. Her lectures are fairly indicative of what to expect on the exam. Her SI also helps out a good deal.

Very good prof. Gives 10 bonus points on each exam except the final and there are 5 pop quizzes, each worth 2 points on your final average. Do the math on the possible average and you'll see that anyone that fails this class does not belong at a university, unless they are cleaning the toilets!

She is a really cool professor. The material is not necessarily easy, but she gave a busload of extra credit. She gives you a chance for 10 extra points on each test and a chance at 2 points on your FINAL AVERAGE on each of 5 quizzes. TAKE HER! She also only tests on material she gives notes for.

If you have the chance to take this call then take it. she is very easy and her lectures are on power point. if you do the review then you will do fineon the test. however, she does have a few questions from the book. I made an A in her class and never read the book just do the reviews.

Its an easy class if you do your part and study. It is also very important that you attend every class because she gives pop quizes that can total up to 10 points towards your FINAL grade...she also gives extra credit on every exam, worth up to 10 points.

Her class is very easy. Study the notes that she gives you and you'll do just fine in her class. Don't have to read much to understand. She takes time on her power points to give people time to write because she does not post her power points FYI.

I thought it was a pretty easy class.Her tests are a little difficult, but if you study the notes ver batem you should do fine.Quizes have a lot of extra points and add up to a test grade. If you show up and dont fall asleep,that quiz grade should stay at or above a 100.An easy test grade, folks!Wish I could say that about the rest of them, though!

Thompson is a very easy professor if you read. Reading the material and copying the notes she gives you almost guarantees an A. Just memorize the notes via the review sheet and you will do fine

Great teacher...really informative lectures, lots of extra credit, but must attend class. She does not post notes on WebCT. She gives easy pop quizzes that are added to your final grade! Definitely recommend for an A, and a good understanding of Biology!

Thompson's TA Minnie Shull is great. She's always willing to help students with lab procedure and written work. Exams follow her powerpoint notes, quizzes given once a week over previous 2 lectures, no comprehensive final, majority of the grade is based on the fly report, a final 10min presentation is required.

Nice lady. Can be a little confusing on her tests at time, but I think if you put forth even the slightest effort, you can manage a B.

i like this teacher a lot. unlike other teachers, she waits for students to write everything on the powerpoints. she also posts exam reviews AND BONUS questions on the internet. the course material is difficult, but apparently her class is the easiest of the bio classes. i highly reccomend.

If you want to bump up your GPA... take her class. You really need to study her notes....which are very clear and you'll pass and should score High B or A easily. Exams are straight forward and then the bonus.... easy points. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Take her for Bio I, pretty easy, she gives lots of extra credit in that one. DO NOT take her for genetics, unless you want to memorize pointless essays that make up 50% of the test. Long essays, she gives you 20 possible ones, and picks five for the test. Didn't learn much, but I got a B in genetics, A in Bio I.

She a great teacher!Attend class is a must..take good notes. She gives you time to take'em for a reason.Also clicker points are great! Clicker questions will also be on your test. If you have questions feel free and ask she doesn't mind.

Her lectures are sometimes boring but the information will definitly sink in with her teaching style. She gives out clicker bonus points. TAKE HER FOR BIO I!!

You must take her! She tells you what extra credit will be on the test. Do her review and study well for her tests. KEEP YOUR TESTS because her final is made up of questions from her previous tests verbatim! Attendance is IMPORTANT because she doesn't post notes and you get "clicker points" which add up to 10 pts onto your FINAL AVERAGE!

Her tests are kind of hard..but take good notes and it won't be too bad.

If you want to get an A and have good note taking and study skills, she is the ONE. If she puts it on the board WRITE IT DOWN. She does not give tests over things she has not gone over, so that last bullet on a slide that you didn't bother to write may be the answer to 2 or 3 questions. She is fair and as helpful as she can possibly be.

All you need to do is take down the notes from the overhead! She does not rush through the slides; she gives everyone time to write down what is up there. The tests are very similar to the notes. She also gives a review and bonus questions to help you study. She also gives clicker points. Study the notes and this course should be an easy A.

if you have ADD and don't take your meds, i do not recommend taking her. her classes were boring. she didn't put her notes up online so you HAD to go to class to find out what she was doing or get it from someone who actually attended class. tests are hard unless you study your ass off. i-clickers were used which helps

She came highly recommended and didn't let me down. Her powerpoints are easy to follow and if she doesn't cover it, you don't need to know it. Posts reviews and bonus questions well before material is covered which makes studying easier. I-Clicker points are added to your final grade. I had 9 points added to my final, it made a big difference.

Excellent teacher! Her test only covers the things she goes over in class (study notes). Alot of notes, no book need (i never read the book). Don't have to go to class, but she has clicker points/extra points, which help alot.

I thought she was an excellent teacher. What she went over in class was what was on the test, I never had to read the book. She gives out reviews that are very helpful, if you do them you will do good on the tests. She gives tons of bonus points. Attendance is needed so you can get notes to study with. I would recommend her to anyone.

Mrs. Thompson is a wonderful teacher. All you have to do it go to class and take the notes. She bends over backwards to help students succeed.

On the upside, her test, at least the written, are from a question pool you can review and memorize. She gives quizs, which are basically free points. On the downside, her teaching sytle is all over the place, but she has chapter outlines on webct. Overall, read the book, go to class to know what to study, study at least 1.5 hours a day.

Quizzes on every chapter, but their not too bad. Essay questions on tests come from the questions on the back of the book. Test aren't too bad. If you study you should get an A.

Prof. Thompson is excellent. A wonderful story teller and absolutely clear about her expectations. Her courses are challenging but well worth the effort.
