She has got to be the reason why I started writing again. She let us write on any topic and that helped a lot. And the best part of the class was that there were only like 15 of us in the class and she took the time to know each of us. Yeah she was hyper, but let me tell you, it's better than the monotone professors we all know. Great job!

I am not an English major, English wasn't my first language, and I usually detest English classes. With that said, during my tenure at CSN, this professor's class (albeit online) was one of the most engaging, fun, and exciting classes I had the pleasure of taking. This professor made this class into the most memorable, enjoyable experiences I had.

I had my doubts going into the class especially learning about the group discussion posts, I ended up with a decent group, and as long as you communicate with everyone you'll be fine! Make sure to read the assigned text and do the assigned materials before the lectures because you'll be less confused!

I don't recommend this class if you hate group projects. I took her remote online class that was once a week, she always ended class in a rush and didn't have time to cover all the material. It's a class that if you put in the work and don't procrastinate you'll pass. She's a good teacher, I just really hated the group assignments.

Awesome Professor! She's an easy grader just follow the template she gives you for the assignments. The textbook is "required" but on the weekly assignments, she would link the chapter from the textbook for you to view. 4 annotating assignments, 5 discussions, 3 group essays, 1 solo essay, and 7 quizzes. Easy to communicate with when you need help!

I took the online course and she would answer my questions quickly through email. She is not a difficult grader as all of her requirements are on the rubric. As long as u meet the work requirement and follow the rubric you can get a good grade. The quizzes aren't bad and you are given a lot of time to finish a 10-15 question weekly quiz.

Group projects aren't that bad, it's just answering questions in paragraph form with around 2-3 other people. Quizzes follow the discussion posts given, not bad for busy students. She gives an outline on all if not most assignments, so she is very clear on her grading. 5 group projects (basically just easy discussion posts) 10 quizzes total.

Professor Vazquez's ENG231 class is engaging and interactive, even in an online setting. While the group discussions can be challenging, she provides clear guidance and is very understanding. unstuckstudy was a lifesaver for preparing for the quizzes. Overall, a rewarding experience.

Solid professor, gives really good feedback on all assignments. Lectures were engaging. The grades worth the most points were group essays, which isn't my preferred style, but I got lucky and didn't have a group for most of the semester. Lastly, if you enjoy working in a group to complete projects and engaging in lectures take this class.

Her passion for teaching is very motivating. She is extremely helpful and always makes sure to make class entertaining, even if it is online. The quizzes are easy, and there are 5 group discussions that are also manageable. 10/10 professor.

Great personality and lectures for ENG101, but I didn't feel like I learned as much as I wanted to throughout the semester and I feel like the homework and tests weren't beneficial to my knowledge. She's a tough grader but if you follow the rubrics you'll be fine.Your grade is mainly weighted on the 4-5 group essays, groups consist of 2-3 students.
