Patty is a great teacher! I highly recommend her class. She provides great reviews and makes the class a lot of fun!
She SEEMS nice enought, but don't let that fool you. She has favorites in class. When you ask for help, she recommends you go to a tutor. She shrugs her shoulders when you don't have an immediate correct answer and makes you feel like you are an idiot!! Be cautious!
Patty is a very mean sprited person ..she does not want to help and gets satifaction at embrassing students. She should not be a teacher. She is very very bad
Patty is not teacher material..she should get in touch with her ego..way out of conrol
Shes a mean person
Patti is a dictator not an instructor. She is a horrible human being if see is one. Susan Murhphy nedds to be and will be notified of her actions. She should not be teaching at all.
Patty is AWESOME! She gives weekly homework assignments for EXTRA CREDIT, along with our lab manual work. All you have to do is do your homework & come to class ready to learn & work. It is VERY possible to get an A if you're willing to put in a little time outside of class. I give Patty 2 thumbs up & reccomend her to anyone!
When you make a suggestion she shrugs it off and she doesn't take a lot of time to help an idividual. Her grading policy is definately out of the question. Even when she gives you a extra points, you may not even get full credit for doing. One meaningless mistake you make will cost you.
I have asked her questions before in class and she has asked me to sit down and read my book because apparently all the answers are there. It's true, she does like embarrassing her students, and does have a huge ego. I won't ever take her again (I'd get out of her classes if I could).
I dont think she is a bad person. She is vague on alot of things and her grading is the absolute WORST!!!! I dont really know what she is thinking... She expects you to remember everything she says. She puts unimportant obscure things on her tests. And she is VERY harsh on grading the reports also. She just sucks and not the way you would like!!!
She is hard but a good teacher.
Her first test was extremely hard, so she curved it. I find her to be hard but reasonable. If you go to talk to her during office hours, she works with you. She is very clear about what you need to know, but you are the one who must find the way to get it in your memory for the tests. She can be a little flipant;she is uncomfortable lecturing.
As my colleague friend told me, Patty is a rock star. I haven't met a professor yet who knows biology as well as Patty. Yes she is challenging. Yes she is a bit meticulous. If u want a good foundation for your future biology endeavors, definitely take her.If you r looking for the easy road, dont take her class.
Having Patti as an instructor is a love hate relationship. You'll love her lecture format yet, you'll hate her testing. Her test's aren't clear, quite confusing and she will not admit to making an error. No matter how incorret she is. She's very tough on reports, you;d think this was a 200 level english course as opposed to biology.
I hate her
She even makes lab hard. She quizzes you over stuff she hasn't taught you and doesn't take into consideration that we cant take the same teacher for lecture as for lab. I do not recommend taking her I never will. Her grading is very harsh. She seems to get annoyed when you ask for help (like we're already supposed to know it or something)
unfair
She is a visual teacher. Packs alot of information in 1 hour. Her reviews are vague and her test have tricky questions on them. she wants answers her way.
you slackers. can't handle a little work? you're not in highschool anymore. wilber is tough, but she's clear and enthusiastic. she reviews all the info every day and tells you exactly what's going to be on the exam. i admit that sometimes her questions are dodgy, but she always gives everybody a few extra points if we had a hard time with a test.
This teacher is very unclear when it comes to expalining stuff at class, she talks like a 100 mph, as if there is no tomorrow.
She sucks! I read other comments about her and someone said she acts like we should already know the material, and they are right on the money! I got an A, BUT its not cause she's good. Its cause thats what I expect out of myself. Not an enjoyable class.
No help at all, make sure that you ae up to speed on everthing. if you you do not understand the upcoming lab make to to visit a tutor or a different instructor, for questions. She is very picky very unhelpful.
she is a poor teacher, we had a sub for a week & learned more from him in a week then we learned all semester from her, I got an A in the class but she is very unfair w/ grading, if you are her favorite you will do well, she is very unclear when giving instructions for experiments & has very little patience when you have questions
This teacher sucks. Everyone is right about her thinking we should already know what shes talking about. Her tests are ridiculous and she hardly makes sense. Gets impatient with questions, doesnt like to give extra help, and shes very rude. Do NOT take her. Horrible teacher.
She is very difficult, but as long as you do ALL the work and study...she's fair. She does try and trip you up on test and quiz questions though so be careful! I liked her though.
I really liked her because she was very helpful when ever I had any questions. You do have to study but dont all professors expect that. She gives bonuses almost every week which is helpful. Try not to miss a class. Over all I think she is a great teacher and I would take her again if I could.
I like Patty I thought she was helpful and made this course more enlighting.... I enjoyed it!
Mrs. Wilber is a great teacher for lecture, she very animated and is very good at explaining all material. She was very helpful and was always available during office hours. I would take her class again.
DO NOT take her class...... Very unorganized!!!! Tests are hard and she does not give students time to write notes in class.... Sometimes has brain farts & forgets what she is saying.. You know those instructors you just look @ the clock & can't wait to leave..
This professor tests on what she teaches. There is not much assigned homework but you MUST study in order to get a good grade. Tests are difficult but she tends to curve the grades. Overall I learned a lot and enjoyed this class.
very helpful, great teacher if the student is interested in learning.
Patty was AWESOME! She was patient with the slower students in class and did a GREAT job explaining everything. TAKE HER CLASS!!
Ok yeah, this class is hard, but we are mostly premed so it dang well better be.We need to know our stuff if we are going to be doctors. Patty is awesome! Incredibly helpful, gives TONS of extra credit. All these other whiners just don't put in any effort. You will be challenged. But of course, its BIO not dance. I got a B, but best class EVER
Patty is very approachable, very helpful and funny. She does have a tendency to not really care whether or not you pass her tests...even if you are trying. But, I am going to pass the class and it was easier with the way she explained things.
good teacher
I had Patty for an upper level bio class and I did not think she was very helpful. She is nice and all, and I never had a problem with the material. When my classmates did however, she was fairly rude to them, and people often went to each other for help, to avoid her. I would not take her again, but she is def. not the worst I've had.
This was my first and only C. Yeah there is extra credit worth 2 points for 2-3 hours of work! She seems to play favorites. I would see some students turn in same work and get a better grade. On my ten pg final paper, I worked extremely hard on and failed it,I took it back to her for many unfair mark offs and got points back.Still have nightmares
I did not like this class because of patty the matterial was passable but patty wants every thing her way and never expains anything you teach yourself dont take this class with patty she is really a bad teacher does not know what she is talking about can not answer questions.
Patty has way too much power and lords over students that she is perfect. She marks things wrong on tests that students write verbatum from her powerpoints. If you misspell one word you get marks off but her presentations and tests are full of errors. I can't believe CNM continues to employ people like her. Don't bother going to the dean either.
I think that Patty is an excellent teacher. If you went in to see her during office hours she would go over the information until you understood. She was very helpful & friendly. She gives a few extra credit assignments which help out. Yeah, you had to work for it she doesn't just give it to you. But most teachers don?t give any. Highly Recommend.
A lot of her questions on tests were vague, could be a multichoice question with 2 and sometimes 3 technically correct answers. And often questions are about minor details not on the comprehension of the subject. Would not recommend to anyone.
DO NOT TAKE HER!!! TAKE MY WORD!!! SHE IS AROGANT AND LIKES TO BELITTLE YOU WHEN YOU ASK HER A QUESTION. SHE THINKS SHE IS GODDESS ON ON PEDESTAL BECAUSE HER CREDENTIALS BUT ONE DAY HOPEFULLY SHE WILL REALIZE SHE IS JUST A PHD PROFESSOR TEACHING A TRIVIAL MICROBIOLOGY CLASS IN A COMMUNITY COLLEGUE. TAKE WILLIAM HAYES, HE IS FOR REAL AND DOWN TO EAR
No Comments
She is a good teacher and is very intelligent. She loves what she teaches and expects you to love it too. When she teaches she talks really fast and goes through the chapters just as fast. Her exams are hard and seem detailed oriented.
Teacher did not take attendance, and kept the pace reasonable, fast enough to keep you on your toes, but not overloading to cram all material in.
She is tough teacher.I barely passed her lecture class but did enjoy her.Her tests are tough but the finally is easy. She takes most of the questions verbatim off previous tests you have taken.Do all extra credit. She is helpful if you ask. Take the CSE attached for extra points toward your lecture grade!!! Shes awesome for LAB!!!
Shes nice teahces good but HARD ON EXAMS!
I dropped her class after 2 weeks! What does that tell you!
she can be understanding on her terms only ! She will make you feel stupid if you have a question !
was a good teacher,, but you have to have the time to do all the work.
she is very nice as a person, but she grades really harsh! she does not like mispelling, and her tests are really tricky. will give t/f questions but then answers will be...true, but not whole story. just very tricky questions. Sort of setting you up to fail, and that's not cool!
Wow. Very tough exams. Rough course if you take it with her. Too much essay writing for a Biology class... This class overwhelmed me, and my gpa is a 3.5... If you like a real challenge, take her course. She is a very nice lady, don't get me wrong, but WOW... tough tough tough. Seriously. Class n=requires EXTREME studying + some. And a tutor.
She is a nice instructor. The class is hard, but if you show up you will do well. There is a lot or work for very little points. She makes bonus points available. TAKE ADVANTAGE. Utilize her knowledge. Don't be afraid to ask her for help. If you do your lab paper early she will review it for you prior to it's due date and you will do well.
Gets side tracked too easily
She is a horrible instructor. Her tests are impossible and she marks of for spelling. She belittles you if you question her and her lectures are impossible to follow. She talks so fast its hard to follow. More than half of the class dropped and less than half that stayed passed. I would never take a class of hers again and I recommend you don't.
I absolutly love Patty. She is an excellent teacher. Her tests are a bit tricky, but if you really want to learn biology, this is the teacher you want to have. I'm not really sure why people complain about her, I have taken her 2 semesters in a row, and reccommend her to everyone.
Patty is a wonderful teacher, her lectures are entertaining and she has a great way of explaining the most complicated things. However, she requires attendance, essays, projects and a ton of effort. She was the best professor I've ever had.
Patty Wilbur is a hard teacher. Have no illusions. However, if you study hard, and PAY ATTENTION to what she wants, you WILL get a good grade. More importantly, you will know your stuff. She teaches good study habits, attention to detail, and imo, makes it interesting. I took her for biology and micro, and I'd take her again if I could.
Patty Wilber is the best teacher I've had at CNM. I absolutely recommend her! Her tests are a little tough, but I learned a great deal. She keeps the class interesting, she's funny and is great at explaining things! Obviously the lazy people give the bad ratings. Take her if you can! She's awesome!
She was extremely helpful and attentive. If you had questions she took the time to explain. Lots of work, don't miss a class, but she gives lots of bonus points! Will spend all the time with you that you need, and has a good sense of humor.
She is rude and hard! She gave me a bad grade because she said I never attended classes well how would she know when she hardly ever took attendance? Anyway she is mean.
She is TOUGH! Does a lot of in class assignments so don't miss class. Her tests are TOUGH! Study a lot because she makes them tricky. Learned a lot, but this class really took the 2-4 hours a DAY to get a descent grade, and it was my first lower than A grade, EVER
She is very tough, but she really knows her stuff. If you want to actually learn from a class instead of just show up then shes the best. This is college not high school, time to take responsibility and study.
Best BIO teacher at CNM by far!!! The key to Micro lab with Patty is reading the TIPS she posts on Blackboard, doing the bonuses, and reviewing the previous lab the night before a quiz. Don't miss a class and ask her early about Dichotomous keys.
Patty is such a great teacher! She's super funny and really wants the best for her students. If you want an easy A, she's not the instructor to take. She makes sure your ready for next level Bio classes.
SHE IS HARD! She is always willing to help though and answers questions, but she gives a lot of assignments in and out of class. her tests are extremely tricky (eg. a,b,c,d...e-both a/c, f-both b/d or g-all of the above) It confuses you. She takes attendance and really expects you to study and know the material.
Class was fairly easy but as a teacher she wasn't very organized and some assignments weren't clear.
She is a horrible teacher! She is hard and marks off for spelling errors. Her tests are set up to help you fail. I would not recommend her to anyone.
I took Patty for Micro lecture, her class is NOT easy.Tests are VERY tricky and it seems like she wants you to miss the question. She is on the other hand willing to TRY and answer questions but she is a little scatter brained and hard to get a clear black and white answer out of. check your tests she makes lots of mistakes
Very informative. She is funny and has a great way of teaching. Her tests are tricky but you can argue your answer on a test that she marked wrong. Lots of opportunities for points. I really liked her!
Her tests are hard, she has study guides for the tests and when you take the test non of the information that was on the study guide is on the test. She marks points off for grammar and punctuation. She is not very clear when you ask a question, she is very vague. Not very helpful when you are lost. I don't recommend her at all.
Patty is the most difficult teacher I have ever had. Regardless I learned the material in and out. People who say she wasnt clear obviously didnt apply themselves. Patty love when students go to her office hours. Her tests are hard and the questions are tricky but it was al covered in class. If you want to learn take Patty.
Super tough class. I was pushed out of my comfort zone, but I learned a lot. Class was fast paced, but if you commit and work hard you will do fine
Not helpful at all! She picks her favorites in class. She doesn't go over anything you need to know for the quizzes during class but then quizzes you on things she thinks you should know. Very tricky! I would not recommend her at all ever! She tries to fail everyone on purpose.
This was my second term taking Dr. Wilber. (Bio 1410 and now Bio 2110&2192 A's in all 3) The difficulty of her class is relative, personally I find her classes to be exceptionally easy. This is mostly due to just how thoroughly she teaches a subject. If you paid attention, when you leave her class, you don't just know something you 'KNOW' it!
Great Teacher. Tough but fair, and very helpful!
Personally, I liked Patty a lot. Class was interesting and engaging. It was hard but it's Microbiology! It's not easy subject matter but it is manageable if you spend the time on it. She quizzes you before she lectures. This forces you to read ahead of time. I thought her teaching style was brilliant. I learned a great deal from her.
PATTY WAS REALLY A GREAT TEACHER, THE CLASS IS HELL. GOOD LUCK!
By far the worse instructor I've had at CNM. She collects lab manuals at begin of every class but never corrected any work, so you never knew if the 10 hours of homework she gives is correct. Her test where very hard considering she only briefly reviewed the material. Nerver reviewed graded tests, tons of points taken off for grammar. BAD BAD BAD
Patty is a great teacher. She's tough but you learn. You get what you earn!
very hard teacher she does not help at all and takes points off for anything, she does not go over lecture or the book so students have to teach themselves on the report of the unknow she does not help or explains nothing
Loved this professor! She's super funny and really into what she's teaching. Spices up her lectures with anecdotal stories and interesting facts, and a goofy sense of humor. I wish she taught Patho II - I'd sign up in a heartbeat. Go to all lectures or have someone record for you - she tests on lecture material.
I found Dr. Wilber to be very condescending toward students. She dislikes questions and almost seems to view them as challenges to her authority. Her grading also seems to be quite subjective. I would not recommend her
Professor Wilber made me uncomfortable. her powerpoints matched the textbook 60% of the time & had blanks all over them as if you had taken the course before. She admitted that the online quizzes were inconsistent but said we had to live with it. Maybe this approach makes you work harder? Be prepared to teach yourself. I think she means well though
A&P is really hard but she tries to make it a bit easier. She is bubbly and it's easy to do well if you do your work.
I liked her class. She goes off of p.p's she does offer extra credit! It's important to take good notes and if you study you will pass her class. She was behind schedule but doesn't test on what she doesn't cover. I would take her again. She is also funny.
Professor Wilber was very clear in her teaching. You had to study and read the book, but she always had time for questions. I would recommend her to anyone taking biology courses. She is a great teacher.
Lecture is fun and interesting. Uses powerpoints and offers extra credit for discussions that the student bring up in class. Makes the lecture fun by telling stories. Great teacher.
Absolutely fantastic teacher! Dr. Wilber makes it very clear what topics she finds important and will ask test questions about. As an added bonus she has a great sense of humor. I highly recommend taking her.
I did not find Patty to be helpful at all. I agree with the comment below... she is very condescending towards her students and almost makes you feel like your questions are a complete burden to her. Her grading is extremely overboard, and she takes points off any given chance. Micro lab was my favorite lab of all labs... DONT TAKE IT WITH HER!
This class was so much fun. Dr Wilber is funny and makes the class very interesting with her stories. You have to study but she is not terribly hard. You can ask her any question and if she doesn't know the answer, she will either find out and email it the same day or make it extra credit. Too bad she is not teaching Patho II
By far, worst teacher I've ever had. I took this class, worked very hard, and even made sure to keep in touch as to make sure I would pass the class, but she still didn't give me a passing grade. Very disappointing as I worked very hard. Also, she was condescending and even seemed to make fun of those who didn't understand material. Do NOT take!
seems good teacher, but when I asked her for help, she did not. I understand that maybe she is busy. One day, she asks me to go her office at that time at the same day. i went on time and I called her office# she did not answer,I call again but her office phone off.i do not understand why she never wanted to help me when i asked for help..
very unclear on materials. worst instructor. quizzes, exams and extra credit are graded based on grammar and HER own questions. with horrible power points that have blank spaces. Speaks really fast and uses access code for online work but nothing from those questions are used. Tries to hard to joke. very unclear when trying to draw on board.
Patty is a great instructor. She will help you with all of your questions if you just ask! She also offers 5 extra credit opportunities, and reviews ALL of the quiz material before you take it. She doesn't test on anything that we don't do in lab. She also has a great sense of humor. She can be sarcastic, but she is still an awesome teacher.
Dr. Patty is great. The class material is hard, so it does require a lot of studying, but that's going to be true with any hard subject and teacher who actually wants you to succeed. Dr. Patty is funny, she's enthusiastic, and she is very clear about what material she thinks is important to know and what she will test on. She'll learn you good!!
She is the worst teacher that I have encountered so far at CNM, and trust me, I've had some horrible teachers. She grades how she wants to grade. She is very condescending. We were tested on drawings from out of the book, which were worth 25% of exam grades. So, if you want to take a class based on surprise drawings, go for it.
This woman is the type of person who is condescending because you do not understand the subject matter that she has a Phd in. Lots of BS drawing required. Very unorganized, her board looks like a maze when she's done. Constantly puts in grades wrong. I've had to have her correct mine 3 times this semester. Exactly like Phobe's evil twin but not hot
Patty is a wonderful, enthusiastic teacher. If you are looking for an easy A her classes might not be for you, but if you want to learn, her classes are definitely the way to go. She is incredibly understanding and will help you as long as your request is reasonable. She is entirely responsible for sparking my new found love of science and school!
Expects students to study and know their material, which isn't unreasonable. Very difficult course, however, Dr. Wilbur was excellent at explaining the material as well as her expectations of your understanding. Quizzes were tough, but never covered unexpected material and helped with labs, tough midterm, and final unknown.
Difficult class, good teacher, need 100% attendance to keep up with the syllabus. Pay attention and memorize everything!!
Online course that requires webcam and specific software to "lockdown" test taking. It's a base course for dummies and taken online specifically so I can do it when and how I want to. Not be tied to her stupid webcam requirements.
For an intro to Biology class I think she is pushing way too much work. This class was the hardest class i've taken throughout my college career so far. Prof. Wilber uses Respondus Lockdown Browser as well so be aware of that, it makes the tests much more stressful/hard. I would not recommend her.
Dont ever take Patricia! I took her for my microbio lab and it was a huge mistake! Although this is a Bio class Patricia feels it is necessary to doc points for grammer even if assignment is correct. She will also make you feel dumb when asking questions. Patricia is not very organized and will even get lost in her own explanation. DONT TAKE HER
If you are not mentally ready to do a lot of studying, don't take this professor. Be prepared to work hard. DON'T skip class. The fact that she bases her lectures on "fill in the blank" PowerPoints was definitely the hardest thing to overcome. Be attentive and ask questions. She's a fast speaker and lectures contain A LOT of information.
Professor Wilber is horrible, I do not recommend her. She is rude and a terrible teacher.
Dr. Wilber is a very tough grader. This was a lab so there was minimal lecturing. The lab manual is accessed online and is free, which is a bonus. She can be a little discombobulated at times but she knows her stuff. If you want to learn a lot, you will. If you want to barely get by, you probably will end up taking this course repeatedly.
Patricia is a tough grader for sure. She is big on spelling and grammar. A little difficult to understand because she speaks very quickly and mumbles but you will definitely learn. I would take her again, just make sure you have time to study.
Her quizzes came from pure memorization of the lab manual. She grades on grammar which normally isn't a big deal (we're college kids, right?) but she will mark you off if she doesn't think your letter C is capitalized. Who does that?? If you come to class 10 sec late with extra credit, throw it away. She was very condescending. Choose another prof.
This teacher messed up my perfect 4.0 GPA, stressed me out, and made me realize that some people just shouldn't teach. She acts like you should know everything before hand, ignores people in the back, grades unfairly, gives no clear examples, and is condescending. We had a sub one class, and I actually learned something that day.
Patty is so sweet and wonderful! Many reviews complained about things higher-level biology professors expects from you, such as proper grammar, spelling and nomenclature. Not an easy A but her grading is fair. Always proofread before turning anything in. I felt free to ask her questions when needed. Would love to take her again!
Ms. Wilber is very knowledgeable in her understanding of Microbiology and clearly has a lot of experience in the lab. Her personality is a little quirky and she goes over material very fast. She is a sincere person but can be somewhat critical and belittling to students. She is a fair grader but very detail oriented.
She likes what she does and expects her students to stay on top of the material. So if you ask a question that can be answered by looking at the lab manual she won't take a second look at you. She has a pleasant quirky personality, which is a rare find in the CNM bio/med departments. If you stay on top of your work and actually study you'll be fine
Pay attention to what she says. She is pretty good about dropping hints over quiz material in prelab lectures. That being said she can be pretty harsh if your class isn't performing to her standards. If you're easily offended or don't react well to criticisms then don't take this class.
You really have to pay attention to what she says because little things could be on the quizzes. She is a very tough grader. I misspelled a word and she counted it wrong. Her quizzes are sometimes 2-4 pages front and back. Make sure you know how to spell every single organism that she gives you because if you misspell it she will mark you wrong.
Shes a great professor. She is really bouncy and a little fast paced on lectures but she is a fair grader, offers extra credit, and shes pretty funny. Shes nice and easy to get along with, respect her and her class and she will respect you.
Never missed a class, did all my assignments and still wouldn't take a class with her again. Doesn't matter how many questions you ask or how well you do on the homework, final grade is based primarily on exams which even the smartest in the class found incredibly hard.
I would never ever take her class again. She was the toughest grader I ever know. Her instructions are never clear whether it is in class or homework.
Dr Wilber is a great professor for this class. She expects you to show up and do the work, if you pay attention and prepare you'll do fine. Double checking your work is key so you don't lose points over errors that could have been corrected.
Professor Wilber was a great professor for me because she covered so much information and she was clearly passionate about microbiology. There were a lot of small homework assignments but the homework actually helped out a lot. She drops an exam and a few homework assignments. She talks a lot and gets test answers from her powerpoints.
I dropped this class this is way to much for a Bio lab class. All the teachers ive had have an overview of material and you can study it how you please. She has you do so much its insane im so overwhelmed! She is also very nitpicky dont take her class!
Nice instructor but all over the place. Lot's of papers, quizzes, extra credit. Hard on grading. She expects you to know your stuff. I just found her difficult for my learning experience to much information and not a whole lot of teaching.. She rambles on about different things does not go over her power points or give answers to her questions.
Her online class really goes in-depth into biology and the material can sometimes be confusing, but she really cares about her students. My grade dropped from an A to a D because of family issues and instead of dropping me right away she talked with me and helped me pull it back up to an A. Such a nice person just be ready to know your stuff :)
This class was harder than expected for being a lab. I recommend looking over ALL graded assignments because she is notorious for adding up your points wrong. She is very strict when grading, you will need to study for her quizzes. On the plus side, she is almost always available to help and answers emails quickly. I like her overall personality.
Amazing lectures! She's quirky and passionate. You'll leave the room learning more than just the topic covered. She would drop assignments all the time just to get our grades up. Very homework heavy but it 100% helps you on the heavily weighed test, and she drops one test at that. You get to study the old exams and she recycles questions for final
Dr. Wilber is super tough on grading, and this class was a little bit harder than I had expected. I always felt like I was drowning in the work and when I'd spend time and work hard an assignment it had never seemed to meet her expectations. Although, I did like her lectures and I felt that I learned a lot from them.
The WORST teacher I have ever come across. For a single credit lab, she gave more homework and tests than any other full credit class I have done. She was no help when I asked for help with uploading study guides. When I finally got it uploaded she gave me half credit because one of the pages was out of order! SHE SHOULD NOT BE A TEACHER.
very condescending when answering your questions. Makes you feel stupid. DO NOT TAKE HER CLASS if you want to be a little sane.
If you want a class where you will actually learn, this is not the class. No challenges, very surface level look at microbiology. The content is provided somewhat spuratically and occasional work is assigned at random and hardly announced; easy to miss. Not much in depth teaching, you'd learn as much if you jut read the textbook on your own.
The toughest grader I have ever had in a class. I dont understand how I have an good grade in the lecture class, and my lowest grade in the lab. Makes no sense. Never missed an assignment, but takes of points if a word is misspelled. A REGULAR EVERYDAY word. But yet her syllabus has grammatic and spelling errors STAY AWAY FROM THIS TEACHER! TRASH
She doesn't help students when she is asked for assistance. She responds to emails at 1am. Midterm is worth 35% of your overall grade. You could average 80-100% on weekly quizzes, but if you fail the midterm, there is no passing the class. Toughest grader. No leeway on final paper. Received barely passing grade on paper, still failed the class.
Does not teach will make you explain answers and will not expand into more detail.
