This woman is funny as hell! puts all her notes on the overhead and gives you time to copy them. all test questions are directly from them and the questions are all given on the first day of class. you'd hate to miss class cause its so funny!

My goodness, this has to be the most exciting class and professor ever. The depth of knowledge and experience that she brings into the class is phenomenal, and I leave each class with my belly muscles aching from all the laughing. I wish she taught more classes here, because she's the perfect professor: structured, exciting, knowledgable, fair.

Best Class EVER! This class is not just interesting, it's fun as well, and she gives the most of the questions that come out on the exam b4 the actual exam. 3 exams, NO final!....HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!

Very nice, detailed lectures, very helpful, long tests but you are given an outline of what will be on the exam in advance. Exams are short essays in the little blue book. She gives alot of examples, write them down, they come back to haunt you. Overall, a good class.

Such a great class!! Attendance is mandatory. After 3 times she marks your grade down. But the lectures are fun and interesting. She puts all her questions on the syllabus in the beginning of the semester. Then she picks 6 or 7 for the exams. 3 Exams thats it! Shes an easy grader too!

Cool lady, class is fun. She does a good job getting us involved. The tests are a little bit over the top though at times. Very ticky tacky as far as answers go. Seems impossible to get lower than a B but very difficult to get an A.

Took for Sociology The Family. Awesome Professor! So funny, makes class fun & interesting w/ her sense of humor! Gives study guides with the questions that will be on the test. At first I thought she was going to be tough because of her syllabus. But then as class started she was absolutely amazing, she brings great energy and enthusiasm which makes you want to participate. Hilarious teacher and very fun. Had to take the class because I had to get the credits and it ended up being the best class of the semester. You actually learn some interesting things along the way. She give you all the question that could be on the tests. Do not buy the text book because its over $150 and you barely open it, save your money lol

I loved this class. It was always interesting and Yeaman is hysterical. Everything about this class was great except for the tests. The lectures are straight to the point and always fun to listen to. She basically wants word for word answers on exams which is not good if you reword things. All together it was a great class!

Professor Yeamen is amazing at what she do. Her lectures are phenomenal, truly an interesting class. But remember to take grade A notes. You only have three test during the semester. And it's blue book, meaning that the student have to write essays. But don't ever cheat, if your caught it's considered an automatic fail in class.

Very nice lady. This class doesn't go deep into sociological discourse, but it is lighthearted and Yeaman makes it enjoyable and entertaining. Your grade is comprised from Bluebook essays, make sure you understand the concepts that she tells you will be on the exams!

Participation isn't mandatory but she provides numerous opportunities to do so. There are 3 exams and no homework. She Is a good professor. I learned a lot about marriage, family, and the dynamics of both. I would recommend that you take her class and she is funny. The grades for the class are based on tests. There is no homework or papers. Make sure you study because the tests are all essays.

Dr. Yeaman's class is lecture-based, but she makes it so interesting and is hilarious. She does ask a lot of questions and gets the class to participate. Makes it hard NOT to participate. Lectures are amazing and this course has by far been my favorite. You learn so much that you can actually apply to your own life, so it's worth much more than 3 credits. You should show up to every class but missing 1 or 2 won't hurt. If you're not a strong writer though, the exams may be tough. Overall 5/5!!

All potential exam questions are listed in the syllabus, all powerpoints are sent via email, which are all you're tested on. All blue book exams, and she's looking for essentially her exact words from the powerpoints. Memorize the notes and it's an easy A. She takes attendance before every class, but she's funny so its a worthwhile class.

Great professor! Shes super funny when telling stories about the material. Tests were very clear , study guide available. I recommend getting the book! But its not really needed. Great professor, very hard to come by someone who loves what they teach as much as she does. Come to class and listen, rewrite the notes even though they are sent by email, and youll pass easy. The lectures are very relatable so it wont be hard to be interested.

She is SO funny; lectures are more like discussions with her as she relies heavily on student experience to carry the course. Much of class is spent laughing. She puts all the exam questions right on the syllabus and tells you which of those will be on each exam, which are all open-ended essay questions. Take her! You will not regret it.

Her class is so much fun she has such good energy. This is such a good class to take even if you don't need it highly recommend just cause. We have great class discussions considering its a really big lecture hall its always a fun time. The material is not hard but it is recommended you study a lot before the test.

Dr. Yeaman is such a kind, funny, genuine professor. Despite teaching relatively large lectures, she manages to connect personally and meaningfully with her students every class. It feels like she learns as much from her students as we learn from her. If you wanna learn from someone who clearly loves sociology and loves teaching it, take her class!
