Very helpful and easy going!

He is very cool, nice, laid back and easy going. I had to be withdrawn this semester because of my poor attendance but I regret it. I'm definitely taking him (again) next semester and for ENC1102! :)

He's is very laid back. most of the time the class worked in groups but during the reading of the two book we were required to buy!!!!! he was really clear.

I took this guy for both level 1 and 2, hes a assume professor and really helpful, you must write your essays that's due every 2 weeks and be ready to participate in class lectures while reading.If your assume at writing essays this class will be a breeze and even if your not good at writing them you sure will end up loving it, Strongly recommend!

super easy class. He gives you essays to do at home and has groups in class to help you proof read draft essays. Mid term and Final are just essays due on a website called turnitin.com. I highly recommend him! easy A :)

Mr. Anderson is such a great teacher! He's so laid-back but really interesting. He's definitely relatable which helps students learn better. All the work he assigns is mostly due online which is super easy. He makes english exciting!

very understanding, chill, and cool

English is a difficult class for me, but I understand clearly in this class. When the professor lectures, he gives out examples and reasons for that example which I find very useful. He is laid back and sometimes bring up humor when explaining a scenario which actually helps me understand.

Very direct when it comes to teaching the lesson. As long as you turn in your essays by the due date theres no reason to fail his class. Great guy , super cool!

Patrick Anderson is a good professor and I would definitely take his class again. Most of the work you do is at home writing essays and then you have a workshop in class to help improve your essay.

He is young and genuine. There is usually one journal entry at the begining of the class and then he will either do a short lecture or put us in to groups. Turn in your essays online and as long as you format it correctly you will get an A. He also let's you choose what you want to write about and gives you enough time to do so.

I would HIGHLY recommend this professor! I tried getting him for ENC 1102 and his classes were booked in a DAY! His class is amazing. Super easy to pass! Just do the essays, and show up to class.

this was my 3rd time taking this class bc I couldnt stand the professors i had but this professor is awesome, i hate essays but he guides you so well in formatting and writing. Also you get to write about whatever you want as long as it fits the essay type. you write five essays w rough as well, a few journals, a few group assignments in class.

Easiest class ever, just make sure to turn in your essays and you will be fine. He doesn't do much lecture and read a few articles, that's it.

This class was super easy. As long as you follow MLA format and turn in the all the assignments it should be an easy A.

You do have to work for your grade and write a few essays but it wasn't a problem at all because the stories he gives us are actually pretty interesting and the abundance of information and guidance provided before every assignment is more than an enough to have you flying through them. Loved this class!

One of the best/easiest teachers I have ever had. He makes your life much simpler by sticking to grading you off of your assignments and pretty basic participation activities. One essay was due every week, but if you know the basics and meet the word count you will ace it. Would recommend to EVERYONE. So glad I took him.

Professor Anderson is pretty clear about his class and he wants everyone to pass so much the class is designed so the only thing you have to do is write and revise your papers and critique papers from your classmates, you learn by doing and you do a lot. The only way to fail this class is being lazy. Good professor, great class!

A bit boring, but it is definitely an easy A and you actually learn. 5 essays throughout the semester, first and final drafts, and peer reviews. I wanted to take him for 1102 but he was already filled on the first day for the schedules I needed. I recommend him for sure

Easy class as long as you do the essays on time. Journal checks easy, DO THEM Some in class assignments you do them with groups. At the end of the semester you pick a documentary to watch and write about as the final assignment DO NOT Procrastinate, turn them in through turn it in. Always make sure you submitted them double check

He cares a lot about MLA structure, but as long as you do all the papers and journals you'll be fine. He is very clear on what he wants. If you have any questions don't be afraid to ask very easy to talk to.

If your looking for a good english teacher this is the one to take. He is honestly the best teacher ive had so far at miami dade. There are 4 litteraly analysis to do, and 1 essay but you choose the book you wsnt to do it on. Hes super easy on grading.. i passed with a 98/100 it was cake.

Essay based class. Probably like 8 big papers throughout the semester, easy grader. If you can write and want an easy A this is your class.

This guy is awesome I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! He only gives literary analysis as assignments and assignments that have to do with the research paper but theyre so easy! There may be one or two extra credit opportunities. I passed with an A, take him!!!

BEST ENC 1101 PROFESSOR EVER!!!!! Professor Anderson is very knowledgable, kind and doesn't make the class harder than what it needs to be. I've already registered to take ENC 1102 with him next semester. 5 essays, no finals or midterms.

Just do 5 essays all throughout and attend class and you're good.

He is totally the best professor that Dade has, do yourself a favor and TAKE HIM , I wish I had taken him for ENC 1101. He actually does teach students the important things we have to know in order to be successful writers. Be ready to write, but he does help you by correcting you and he a fair grader. He is the best.

Dude was one of the best professors I've ever had. Do your assignments and fulfill the criteria: you will be fine. As long as you show quotes tied to the book or other material you're writing about and meet the word count you should be fine.

Hes pretty cool. Decent amount of work but he gives you plenty of time to do it.

Great teacher. He gave 3 literary analysis, 4 assignments that lead to the final research paper and one extra credit analysis. As long as you follow the criteria on the paper he gives you, you will get 10/10. Everything is through turn it in. Can't be absent more than 2 times. Every class has questions about the reading you had to do prior to class

He's a wonderful professor! I had his class for ENC 1101 and I'm very glad I took him for 1102. There are 3 literary analysis' (make sure you follow the guidelines), a final research paper and an extra credit film analysis. Very approachable, chill and I definitely recommend his class if you don't want a professor who wastes your time!

Only 4 essays about what you want 500 to 750 words and for the final he will give the prompts minimum 1000. The essays are 10% of the grade and ATTENDANCE IS 40% so you must go to class every day. RECOMMENDED 100%

Professor Anderson is an amazing professor. If you're a freshman and are looking for a professor who is caring, lenient, but also pushes you to do your best, he is your guy. There were only 4 essays the entire semester and you choose whatever you want to write about, except the last essay that you have to choose from a couple topics.

I enjoyed Professor Anderson's class very much. Since it was my first semester of college I expected it to be very hard, because that is what everyone says that "college is hard," but Professor Anderson was helpful throughout the course and he was clear with what he needed the students to do. Highly recommend his class.

He makes the class very easy, all you have to do is 5 essays and do all the journals that he assigns and you will pass with an A. 4 out of the 5 essays you get to pick your topic and for the last essay he shows you several Netflix documentaries and from the many that you see, he lets you pick one documentary to write your argumentative essay.

An awesome professor!! His lectures were informative about what to write in all of the 5 essays and you choose the topic for all except the 5th. Theres group work to read and critique your classmates works and journal entries based on the reading assigned prior to class. Come to class/put in some effort and its a guaranteed passing grade!

I took this class at night and was extremely easy, I never read the assigned reading and just wrote the most random things for the in-class questions and always got an A, all you have to do is just the three analysis a final and some group work, but does not grade harshly, I really enjoyed his class

A lot of lectures, but easy to follow. 5 essays, the first you get to chose the topic. Do all the journals, make sure to get all critiques, definite A+ Gives good feedback, take critiques into consideration, super chill teacher Highly recommend.

This was my second time with professor Anderson, and he is still one of the best teachers I've had. He has a positive attitude and he is good at teaching what he teaches. I highly recommend him.

Due to COVID I took the class online and it was asynchronous, he was an easy grader and passing his class is very easy. Personally, I did not use the book, and I got good grades in everything.

Pretty chill, easy grader, just be careful to use the righ format.

I took him in Spring 2020, he's a great English professor. He's really chill and an easy grader. Complete all the assignments (essays) and you'll easily pass with an A. I highly recommend him!!!

Professor Anderson is a great professor!!! The class was just discussions, super easy grammar/module quizzes, and 4 major essays. The topics for discussion are so interesting and easy to write about and you get to choose your own topics for your essays. There is a proctored mid-term that requires you to write a freeform essay and no final. Take it!

I did an online class with him, so there wasn't interaction. He is a tough grader with the required essays for his class. Therefore, make sure you read the syllabus carefully for details, so that, you know what he exactly wants.

Hes a tough grader when it comes to essays but other than that hes very fair with his grading. He gives a lot of work so try to stay organized.

Cool dude. Don't waste money on the textbook cause you really won't need it. My classes were half online and half on campus. I suggest doing in-person classes for this course. Overall it's a good class to take.

Fantastic professor! I took this class entirely asynchronous so there wasnt much interaction, however I always enjoyed the lessons that were assigned. Simply do the work that is assigned and youll pass.

Easiest ENC1 class ever. took him online. get ready to read and listen to podcasts bc he is obsessed with them. i like to believe i am an amazing writer. but even then he graded a lil tough on my essays which interesting considering its an intro class. take him, its mostly discussions and i believe he doesnt even really check them lol

Professor Anderson is a great professor. Easy going, clever, and direct. His assignments gives a chance for the students to think for themselves and prepares them for each lesson he gives. He also makes us engage with other students in the class which gives us perspective and improves our writing skills.

Best English teacher I've had so far at MDC. Lots of discussion boards but they are super easy. Very few papers. Easy grader. He definitely does a good job on trying to make the class fun such as analyzing music. Definitely recommend you take one of his class!

This has been one of the easiest classes I have ever taken. As long as you try on the paper you are gaurenteed an A. He does take a while to put grades into Canva, however. Very chill class.

This class was online and not hard at all. Professor Anderson was a very easy grader. This class is an easy A as long as you do all of the work and don't plagiarize anything. The only reason I gave him a 4/5 instead of a 5/5 is because he was difficult to reach via email. Otherwise, he was great!

This was a great class and probably one of the easiest I've taken. Prof. Anderson was super nice and understanding whenever I reached out. Classwork is simple if you read the (simple) prompts and know how to write. Anderson is also very to the point. Btw he literally states he's not looking for perfection. I recommend his class!

Easiest class ever to take! The work is quick and easy to complete. We also were able to leave the classroom once the quick lecture and instructions were finished. Small thing to beware of is that he uses AI/Copyright check program on your work, so don't even think about using chatgpt or anything.

this Professor is great explains everything well. Took him for fall term, get ready to write a little but his writing assignments are not hard pretty simple and if you like writing you will definitely enjoy this class. I would definitely take this course again. Amazing teacher
