This professor is alright. Class can get pretty boring. I would not recommend missing any assignments, being absent or being tardy because he will drop your grade in a second!

If you do the homework,show up on time and participate,ask questions you'll be fine he his easy,but boring as heck.His tests are very simple if you do the reading.

Patrick is very good teacher. He doesn't leave much homework. but he does make you do a daily journal including weekends.

I took his class back in '94 and I remember that he was a fantastic teacher. He will butcher your essays, but hang in there; you might learn to be an outstanding writer. Oh yeah, watch out for the FANBOYS!

MR. Hunter is awesome. His class is not as hard as you may think. As long as u complete ALL the homework and your journal and attend class, then you'll do fine. Attendance is extremely important to him, make sure you get on his good side because he really is a very nice man. I loved his class!

This guy is a really nice person. He is a good teacher, a bit boring at times but would definitely rcommend this guy. Just do your homework (which is so easy it's a joke) and you journal and you'll do great. Oh and show up to class.

He's and exellent teacher. He in funny and well informed, too. He answers your questions in a very good way. The first day, he seems to be very strict and hard; However, as soon as the first week ends, you'll find that he's anything but. I strongly recommend you to take him. You'll learn a lot. You'll be glad you did !!

Good professor, but clearly right winged. He is very strict on attendance, tardyness, lets you go to the second the clock hits the time to leave, if you turn in the homework one minute late he gives you no credit. And expects us to understand everything before entering the class. His final was bull. DOnt take him. DOnt recommend him.

Hunter is hard. If you are always late, hate attending class and want an easy A, this guy will tear you up. However, once the first weeding out of bad classmates happen he is a really good teacher. No makeups are allowed, so attend class (on time) and be prepared to write in a daily journal. All in all, he's very good. Just very strict!

Not the kind of class you can be lazy in and get by. Arrive on time having done the assigned reading and you will do fine. He pays attention to attendance and active participation. Also assigned two 5 page analysis papers over the semester, but gave a lot of opportunity for assistance with them. Great class if you enjoy literature.

He's one of the coolest teachers out there. Very strict on homework, attendance, tardiness, and laziness though. But he's funny and really energetic and sometimes boring. The books he recommends are cheap and kind of useful. If you have questions he'll be more than happy to help you but not during tests or in-class essays. Overall, he's a really good teacher

so here's the thing he offers no extra credit, requires you to attend class every week, be on time and have your reading done for the week just in case of a pop quiz. gives two out of class papers, one in class paper (final) few pop quizzes, a journal to write and that's it. hes not a bad teacher just strict when it comes to grading papers.

A very good teacher but just very strict on tardiness, attendance, and homework. He isn't hard if you put most of your effort into doing his assignments. He has a love for English and his stories that he would tell in class were pretty interesting. I recommend to take him if you want to learn. He's not hard at all.

I LOVE THIS PROFESSOR!!!!!!!! It is very obvious that he loves what he does, he can get lost in the subject. I got an A on the first essay and was told that I have great writing skills, which is just amazing coming from him! The class is lengthy, but definitely worth while, especially for English majors such as myself. Not a class for slackers

BEST PROF. EVER!!!!! He knows his stuff, and he will take the time to help you understand things you need help on. There is just two In-Class essays, and you have to write in a journal everyday. (that means holiday and weekends too) there are quizzes, but if you read the stories you would be fine. TAKE HIM, YOU WON'T REGRET IT!!!!

Wonderful professor. Do what he asks you to do and you'll pass. He has a lot of pop quizzes, 5 questions each, but he drops the lowest. Two out of class essays and one in class (which is the final). Really caring and overall just a great person to be around. Take him.

Best English Teacher Ever! I took him during winter, I have learned so much and because of his class I am able to write a good paper. He gives a lot of homework but it is all very helpful and you will appreciate it. He takes his time to get to know his students overtime he calls on their name. Don't believe the sourpuss flakes. If you show up, do the work assigned, you'll pass with an "A" or a "B." Even though he's very erudite, Hunter talks like a human being and encourages others to do the same. He's one of the better professors on the campus.

his class is easy. I took him for English 33 and then English 300 ( which is English 21 an 28) I passed the first one like nothing. when I took him for English 300 he would give us homework everyday, and he makes you buy two books which ITS A MUST for you to get and he only gave us a week to read each book and then we did our essay.

Professor Hunter is amazing at what he does. He truly cares about his students and wants them to succeed. He does offer extra credit, and many opportunities to raise your grade overall. Thanks to his class, I got a 100% on the Holistic Exam, which I thought I would've been terrible on. He's also very funny and never has a boring class day.

Hunter isn't a bad professor. Maybe just don't take his 8 AM because if you walk in late he attempts to embarrass and put you on the spot in front of the class. Honestly show up to class and do the essays and journals and you'll be good.

If you need to take Eng 101 take it with him you wont regret it. He doesnt give a lot of homework. We mainly write essays and he gives us a lot of feedback. The only book we need for the class is a graphic novel and you can buy it on EBay under $15. Dont spend crazy money on the book. He can be sarcastic at times, but he does it to joke around.

I have taken the 3 english courses necessary to transfer to a University, and Professor Hunter's class was by far the most enjoyable. Aside from having a deep knowledge of and enthusiasm for English literature (as he should), he truly enjoys teaching it, and it shows. He is down to earth, relates well to the students.

Everything adds up .I liked alot how we didn't just do one essay an turned it in and moved onto the next. We do like 5 before finally turning in the final draft. If you need to take ENG 101 you have to take it with Professor Hunter. You have to show up to class. Three essays the whole term. He would talk about them for the weeks leading up to the final draft and helped you know exacly what he was looking for in the essay. Homeworks are not mandatory but a great way to boost your grade.

He's a very funny teacher. He had only three essays the whole class and one in-class essay for the last day of school. No hw besides the essays that he gives you weeks to do. The prompts aren't difficult to write about and he gives great advice on how to make your essay better. He was an easy grader as well.

The only textbooks needed in his course are "Maus" and "Course Notes." Attendance is important & the homework in his course is periodically so try not to fall behind in that area :)

He is great, a bit old-school, and the whole 'bring a paper copy' requirement gets annoying. However, all the homework is listed in the syllabus from the start, and the assignments are easy. You get homework points for working on your essay, which makes it much easier since you don't have to write the entire essay at once. Attendance is important.
