Dr. Beatty is a great educator and is very helpful and gives good advice about situations. He wants to see his students try hard and be the best they can be and is always there for help if you need it, you just have to ask. I have really enjoyed him as a new teacher and look forward to having him in the future.

You're only graded on a discussion post and quiz for each chapter, and an essay on the topic of your choosing. Dr. Beatty is willing to work with you if grade is not where you would like it to be. He really wants his students to succeed. I highly recommend taking courses with him.

He's a great professor. I'm majoring in Criminal Justice, so it is easy for me to like the class, but he is still a great professor. If you don't get a high grade in any of his classes, then you must not be doing anything on your part as the student. Listen/take notes during his lectures, study for the tests and write the one paper & you pass.

The professor showed and demonstrate the criminal justice system to the class. He did it though visual most of the time. We had guest speakers and different events go on to help the class best understand the topic we needed to learn.

Dr. Patrick Beatty is a well-rounded, well-respected criminal justice professor. Previously working with the state of New Jersey police department, he brings great expertise and experience to share with his students. He is caring and will do all that he can to ensure every student is learning and gains all of the knowledge needed to excel in life.

I thought that I wasnt going to have much fun when I took this class and it turn out I was wrong. We did talk about serious subjects such as rape. However I still found a way to enjoy the class.

Dr. Beatty is very direct and to the point. It's clear what is expected of you from the start, and as long as you do that - you're guaranteed good marks. Very flexible with course requirements and understanding if something comes up. Would definitely recommend for a good laugh, some learning, and an all round good time.

Yes, Dr. Beatty's online courses are textbook heavy, but the material is top notch. His selections are fascinating and don't even feel like homework. He uses a mix of powerpoints and readings that contribute to overall understanding. His classes are my favorite that I have ever taken and I encourage everyone to sign up at least once, despite major.

Dr. Beatty, alone, is a wonderful professor. He may sometimes go too fast with the slides on the board when were taking notes but he recommends us to view them on Wolf Den. The course seems too hard for me, so I will be switching my major next semester.

For his night classes its learn a new chapter via powerpoint and discussion, which the discussion is the best damn part, then a test o n the previous weeks' powerpoint. Its easy to forget last weeks information so make sure to download the powerpoint (which he posts after class every week) before taking the test.

Study what he tells you and you will be prepared, and if you dont always look at the clock.

For this online ethics to criminal justice class, we had to write five 250 word essays every week because of the units. The units were a week long and after you finished the essays, there was a test online after that, that was worth most of the points to your grade. Overall, I enjoyed taking this online class because it didn't take up a lot of time
