Would highly recommend to take any of his classes, he keeps the lectures interesting. He's fair with grading assignments. Sometimes he words the test questions weird but if you bring it up he'll throw the question out. If you take this class beware you have to write a 10 page paper but you have all semester to do so.

Best proffessor you will ever have

Honestly he was dope, tests were multiple choice all based on the textbook. He tells you during lectures what information will be on the test. One big paper (10 pages), he divides it into sections and gives feedback to fix for final submission. Really understanding, takes some late work overall cool dude.

He's a great teacher who knows his stuff. If you pay attention to the lectures/videos, you will pass the reflection questions/tests. A lot of the grade is from tests (60%), so make sure to write down what he says and you will pass the class. Class was interesting and enjoyable. His anecdotes were entertaining/added to our discussions.

Dr. Beatty is one of the best professors I've ever had. His lectures are easy to follow, and always interesting. In the middle of lectures, he'll say "you might see this somewhere else." That's your cue to mark whatever it is because it WILL be on the test. Tests can have some confusing wording sometimes, but Dr. Beatty will clarify if you ask.

While I didn't do great in the class, Beatty was extremely fair and reasonable with his grading. He also gives extra credit on the tests. He was very accommodating to me as I had 2 of urgent surgeries during the semester. I would 100% recommend :)

Dr Beatty is super funny his class is very lecture based so as long as you take basic notes you will be fine and he is really personable as well as being able to crack jokes at times He does use profanity in class but it makes sense in terms of when it is used and is used appropriately

Beatty was very professional and always came to class with great energy and was a great professor that i would recommened for anyone majoring in criminal justice. Beatty is very organized, always has a plan for each day, he grades very accurately, and his notes are very helpful.

Dr. Patrick Beatty is truly one of the best professors. He manages to keep the class engaged as well as motivated when a test comes. A final paper rather than an exam is given, but he gives due dates for certain sections of the paper throughout the semester rather than just one single submission at the end so you can properly pace yourself.
