Dr Brown is such a good guy.He does everything for the students. He is corny in his jokes but at least he tells them! He is very approachable and office hours go well.He is willing to help you in any other class too!For this class just outline the book and take notes in class and you will do fine.the only problem is he is disorganized in the office

He doesnt like to lecture a lot, instead he will assign groupsof 3 or 4 and make you work your way through the lecture by sharing thoughts. He will lecture from time to time on topics he feels he needs to cover. Tests are not bad if you do good on the online quizzes.And he will help you if YOU ASK FOR IT! Great sense of humor! Strongly recommend!

Dr. Brown is a hilarious professor! He helps you with any questions you may have and is very clear in his explanations. It's Anatomy so it's not going to be an easy class, but he does so much for you with study quizzes and study guides, that if you study them and your POGILS, you'll do very well on his tests. His labs are tough, but it's A&P :)

Dr. Brown is a great professor. The class is fun but hard. Attendance is mandatory. Part of your grade is based on it. Lab exams are excruciating but you'll do ok if you study. (Hint: Check out the models in Library and the online material he gives you.) If you're wanting that easy A, remember, it's A&P, It's not easy. Study, study, study.

Awesome professor, would highly recomend taking him for anything. Easy A, just show up to class, listen to lectures, and take some notes. Online test/quizes/exams. Gives you everything you need to make an A on his online exams. Very funny and outgoing dude and is more than willing to help you with anything after class or in office hours.

Even though some of the material is hard to comprehend at times, since it is anatomy and physiology, he has a good method of teaching that makes difficult concepts easier to understand. As always, Dr. Brown is AMAZING! If you don't take A&P with him you will be missing out. Yes, you do have to study to get an A in his class, but it's a difficult class. Extremely smart man but throughout the semester I felt like he thought I wasn't as smart as other people & he treated me differently. He was usually helpful but at the same time I didn't really get the vibe that he necessarily cared about how I did so that was really frustrating I liked the class & would recommend it but was disappointed at the end

Dr. Brown is great!! He was a great teacher to start out with in anatomy.I just got lucky. He is so smart and does so much for his students and wants them to do well. He tries really hard to keep you awake with his jokes. Be warned if you dont try then he will kinda be aggravated and kinda shun you. You have to put in the effort!!! A MUST.

I love Dr. Brown! I didn't have too good of an experience in A&PI with a different teacher, so I decided to try Brown. He is by far the best professor I've had. He is very clear on what he expects and is always willing to help you in any way you can. His personality makes the lectures fly by. I would definitely take again in a heartbeat.

Alright, so when I took Brown I mentioned on here that he sometimes acted superior to his students. After taking another much harder class, I came to realize how wrong I was. Brown prepared me for the Nursing Program at ETSU more than i have thought he was. He is amazing, take him! :)

Dr. Brown is the best teacher to take for both A&P 1 and 2. Attendance is required for group days, but I would highly encourage attendance on lecture days as well. The study guides weren't helpful for tests. However, if you study homework quizzes, group POGIL material, and lecture materials without getting behind, getting an A is very doable.

Dr. Brown was so helpful and willing to make sure you fully understand the material. He made class interesting and kept your attention with relatable group activities, jokes, and videos. His tests were difficult if you did not study, so studying helps. I would definitely take him again, he always made class enjoyable with such a hard subject.

He really cares about helping you understand the material, not just memorize it. Grading is set up so no one (or two or three) failed assignment will destroy your grade.

I took Brown's A&P 1 over the summer (5 weeks). If I didn't work full time on top of the amount of work we had to do in such a short amount of time, I could have managed a better grade. He is very thorough and really wants to help everyone get the most out of his class. Tests and lab exams are easy if you study for them.

I really enjoyed this class & I'm already signed up to take his A&P 2 class! His tests are hard but there's many other opportunities to make a good grade. PRINT HIS LECTURE NOTES! The days we did group work were super helpful! He's a great professor, he's funny, & really knows what he is talking about! Also he's super helpful if you have questions!

He is a great professor! The class is set up to where if you do bad on an exam it won't bomb your grade and he replaces the lowest test grade with the final grade if you miss less than 2 labs. The tests are really easy if you study. I only studied off the study guides.. Print off lecture notes because he goes from them in his powerpoint.

Dr. Brown is a very intelligent teacher, and very detailed man. He provides a specific schedule of what you will do on each day you meet up until exams, so you would literally know what you are doing on November 18th. Also, he gives a lot of assignments, WAIT BEFORE YOU GET MAD, this actually helps as the tests won't count heavy like you'd think.

I enjoyed him as a teacher but his teaching style just was not the best for me. I was able to scrape by an A because he drops your lowest test if you do better on the final than that score as long as you have good lab attendance. Not all lecture classes are required. He is big on POGIL and believes it works but I do not think it really helped.

Lectures and Labs are mandatory but if you miss a lecture he also records within D2L. Make sure to go to class when there's Pogils because hands down there will be exam questions from the pogils in class. Brown WILL NOT record pogils. Do the homework and STUDY, you will do fine. Awesome Professor, he will do anything to help you pass.

Patrick Brown, Phd. is a genius at teaching and lecturing. You'll hardly forget things taught by him due to his style of teaching.

Dr. Brown is amazing. You don't have to come to lecture all the time, but I defiantly don't recommend skipping; however he posted his lectures online if you do have to skip. He takes attendance in lab and certain days in lecture. He is a caring professor, but just be ready to study.

He does a combination of lectures and pogils. Pogils are group work. He allows all homework and quizzes to have multiple attempts because he wants you to actually be able to learn the material. This class is not a class you can just go to and not study. I recommend making flashcards and studying his outlines for all tests.

His lectures and overall style of teaching aims more at the physiology of the body. Overall, he's a great professor with a passion for health science and wants others to be able to enjoy it in a fun and interactive way. 10/10 class.

He wants students to understand the material and is willing to explain something into more detail if you ask. For his exams, if you do the study guide, the quizzes and practice his kahoots that he posts then you should do great!

Dr. Brown really cares about his students! You don't have to pay for the book, it's online. Always attend POGIL/Lab days for attendance grade, lectures are optional. If you complete all your quizzes/homework, and study for the test you will pass. I recommend your homework/quizzes and use quizlet to study for your exams instead of the study guides.

Love Brown but he gets off of topic really fast. We would go through lecture and once he explain something he would go off into a story most about his family. Other than that he usually gives extra points on his test if he feels like his questions were faulty or if the test average is really low.

He was the best teacher for A/P 2! I love the way he teaches because it gets you involved in class. Everything is technically free. He is very kind and will work with you if you are having problems. He has very open communication and even gives his phone number for emergencies. Harder course but works with you. Best hillbilly professor out there.

Dr.Brown has been the BEST professor EVER!!!!!! His class is difficult but he is great at answering any question. The Pogils are an amazing way to learn about the concept he is teaching. The lectures are amazing and so interactive. He doesn't fully read off the PowerPoints, so be prepared for that. Be prepared for weekly homework and lots of notes.

I hate science, but I loved Brown's Class. Attendance isn't mandatory, but he goes over stuff that will be on tests that might not be on D2L so that is important. Professor Brown is the best professor for A&P, anyone who says otherwise is a baby and a liar. He is always willing to help, and easily accessible out of class. Obviously anatomy is going to be hard, so the people complaining need to worry about learning how to study instead of blaming Brown. I would 100% take his class again.

Honestly if you study this class was not hard. Brown is an awesome teacher and gives you so many options to do well. He actually cared about the students and tried to get to know them. 10/10 proffessor.

He's a great professor! Take his anatomy classes over all of the other professors. He wants you to learn and he wants to help you succeed.

Dr. Brown was a great professor and made it easy to understand the topics. He offers unlimited attempts on almost all of his quizzes/HW. The course is very content heavy, and it is easy to get behind. Lots of hours studying but Dr. Brown is a good professor and will work with you.

Brown is easily my favorite professor at ETSU. He made the material relatable and easy to retain. Lectures were fun with interactive learning activities. Labs were fairly simple and engaging. Ultimately, I learned a lot from Brown that I will get to take into my future healthcare career. I would recommend him over any other professor for A&P!

Professor Brown is a great teacher but, his class is NOT easy. If you are taking him and don't know how to study you better learn how to real quick. His study guides tend to not match up with his exams. His exams are very difficult and you must know every ounce of the material. besides that he is a great professor and I would take again.
