Very organized and quick to reply.
Volume of work was very high. Instructor was fair and reasonable but ALOT of posts and high work load.
Great facilitator; timely feedback, and excellent communications. It was a pleasure having Patrick Cooper as my instructor.
The best online instructor hands down for the MBA program. Engaging and proactive and his teaching style should be emulated throughtout the program.
Classes are great, interesting, and great discussions
This was the most intense class I have taken in my MBA program to date. He required us to dig deep and find application to the concepts we were studying. He required much of us, but in return I learned much more than I have in many of my classes. The information was all relevant and I appreciated the attention and requirements that made me work.
Great Professor- heavy workload, but got a lot out of the class. Best professor I have had at Regis
Pat is awesome. Like all professors he expects you to participate in online discussions as required, read all reading assignments, and submit all written assignments in a timely manner it is a Masters course after all. Put in the work you will earn a good grade. You will learn skills that you will actually apply to your company. Class is NOT hard.
Pat was a phenomenal professor! He regularly responded to students in the discussion forum and is quick to touch base with you if you have questions. He is so personable and feels like a long time friend by the way he communicates. I wish he taught more classes in my program so I could take him again. Make sure you do your work on time!
Pat was an exceptional teacher. So far he was my favorite in the MBA program. His discussion posts and comments led to meaningful and thought-provoking learning.
Honest, Upfront Expectations, Fair, and Consistent
Pat, Pat makes you work for the grade, but it is all work with a real purpose. I have known many professors over the years (I also used to work at a university) and it is great to have a professor who actually teaches useful material. I feel that this course will give me some real tools for the working world. You will be most happy with Pat.
Professor Cooper genuinely cares for students, and made this clear through this active guidance and participation. This course required a fair amount of work, but parameters were clear, and the amount of learning was rewarding. I would highly recommend Pat as a professor and resource of managerial and organizational knowledge.
He was really understanding when I got sick and had to turn in my assignments late. Communicate with him and he will work with you.
He is a good professor and made learning easy. As long as you participate and turn in the written assignments you should have no problems with the class.
Good class but the content talks about keeping the energy in the workplace focused on the customer but the team work really doesn't manifest as a team in real life or in the college environment because it is not facilitated for corrective behavior in real time. Lends itself to bullying and hostile work environments.
Pat actively participated in discussions and did a great job at both challenging and encouraging us through thoughtful feedback and discussions. I learned a great deal in this course but more importantly gained the confidence to apply it immediately in my workplace.
Detailed feedback, clear expectations, and very engaged in discussion.
I wish Patrick was my teacher for all of my classes!! I learned a lot and enjoyed the class. Best class I have taken at Regis University.
amazing teacher, ive taken two of his classes and he is great. expect papers each week but if you like research than take his class.
The most prepared professor I have run into at Regis. He provides great insight through discussions. I also learned a lot from him and the class. I would highly recommend.
Best professor I have had in a long time. Class was very engaging and he was very knowledgeable! Sets clear expectations up front so prepare to work for your grade but have fun doing it :)
Pat was GREAT! This was a graduate level course, so the return is based on the input. He provided great insight, suggested additional readings to complement required content, and made you think... so you can learn. I look forward to taking another of his classes.
This has been one of my favorite courses in this program. I was not expecting the amount that I have learned in this short eight week session. He expects you to participate and there are papers that are due each week but they all serve a purpose of learning the subject. I would totally recommend taking him. You will not be disappointed.
Good examples and use of material. Discussion questions helped the application of learned concepts. Supportive and helpful throughout the course.
Professor Cooper is one of those professors that you wish you could have for every class. He is the professor for the online leadership class I am taking now and I have thoroughly enjoyed the class; in part due to him as a professor. He is active and provides helpful feedback. I hate online classes, but his involvement makes it worthwhile. 10 stars
Professor Cooper offered a great balance of providing skills that were directly applicable to the business leadership world. He also carefully and respectfully pushed individuals to learn about themselves to become a better leader. Despite having leadership experience, this course increased my confidence and skills as a leader.
Didn't use a text book but there were multiple course/topic related articles to read and comprehend before submitting any written work.
Professor Pat wants students to succeed! The amount of time and effort he invests in preparing the students for each week's lesson is phenomenal! It is evident he wants to ensure students can easily comprehend the material, the objective of which is for lively, yet constructive discussions. His input and responses far exceed all expectations.
Professor Pat Cooper was one of the most engaging professors I have ever worked with. He will make you think and challenge you. He let a great class! Feedback was very timely. I wish more professors were like him.
Pat Cooper is an amazing professor! A great leader who inspires, encourages and empowers you to greatness. He's the kind of person any one would want to emulate. He's compassionate and understands work/school/life balance. I've had the wonderful opportunity to learn from him for two courses, and would highly recommend him.
The readings in this course are thoughtfully chosen and relevant to creating passionate discussion and critical thinking.
Took Patrick's HR6350 class online. It's was pretty straight forward. You participate in discussion board postings, he gives you about 3 articles each week to relate your posts to, he's fair on grading, and tells you exactly what he expects. I'd take a class of his again online, he made the online experience totally manageable.
Really enjoyed this class.
Pat was my professor for my BA4986 - Senior Capstone Project Course at Regis University. Each week, he provided us with clear instructions and expectations. His feedback was always comprehensive, his discussions engaging and thoughtful, his assignments useful and relevant, and he was very accessible throughout the semester. Definitely recommend!
This class was awesome! Very interactive. Good feedback. Be on time with your assignments. Participant. Loved that you didn't have to read from a textbook! The papers were actually interesting to write! You won't be upset taking this class.
Best class I took in four years.
This was my 2nd class I've had with Pat. He takes his job as an educator very serious and contributes to the student learning. It is something he values. His enthusiasm and student engagement is the epitome of what Regis should benchmark all professors against. As this is a Graduate class, the amount of course work is expected, as it should be.
Excellent!
Professor Cooper was really fantastic! He gave as much as he required and I really learned a lot in this class. Assignments were graded and returned timely and always contained feedback. I did not think I would enjoy an HR class; however, I was pleasantly surprised! I 100% recommend this class and professor.
Pat Cooper is a great professor! He puts a ton of thought into each week. Instead of boring textbooks, he gives you thought provoking, interesting and up to date articles to reflect on. I would take more of his courses again!
A great professor to have! He is very invested in the student learner and does everything within his power to help!
Borring and unengaged professor who doesn't really prepare for class and is generally uninterested in students and teaching.
I thoroughly enjoyed Professor Cooper's class. He regularly engages with students, provides timely feedback and grades assignments with a quick turnaround time. He also provides guidance if you feel stuck and responds to e-mails quickly.
Pat is a great teacher. There was a lot of unfamiliar material to absorb throughout the course; Pat encouraged us to seek understanding from one another while always remaining available to answer questions outside of class. He provides detailed feedback that is always encouraging. He is tireless and inspiring.
Patrick Cooper is an awesome professor. I learned a lot of useful information moving forward in my career. The discussions and assignments applied well to my major and gave me great knowledge. He was also helpful in a rough situation with grades and my new position that required me to finish my degree. He made sure to enter grades in a timely manor
Being in Professor Cooper's class was the most positive experience of my entire time at Regis. Even though it was an online class, Professor Cooper treated us like we were right there in the class with him. His posts were fun, thorough, thought-provoking, and conversational. You can tell that he really WANTS his students to succeed. One of a kind.
Pat is an amazing prof! I wish all of my classes were taught by him! As an online student, it's hard to connect with the professors. Pat truly takes the time to read through your assignments and provide excellent feedback. He is very laid back and cares about his students immensely.
I really enjoyed Pat's Capstone class, he was very present and gave excellent feedback. His ability to encourage the students to dig a little deeper on the subject matter was commended. His teaching style was encouraging, and it compelled us to view business operations through a broader lens. I would definitely recommend students to take his class
Pat was a great facilitator! He is always available and gives great feedback. You get a sense that he absolutely cares about the students. He is knowledgeable and really pushes the students to succeed. I enjoyed learning from him and all his wisdom and wit! He is definitely a GEM! Thanks Regis for hiring him!
Great Class, it looks like a lot of work at first, but it gets broken down week by week so it ends up being a few pages due each week. It is almost ALL group work, be prepared to communicate with them via group text and google docs. The prof is a great facilitator and he will help you become a better group member and produce quality work.
It seems 4 weeks of work was condensed into the first 2 weeks. But don't be afraid; its just a lot of very detailed guidance. Stay locked in and complete every assignment on time and you'll be fine. Pat actually responds to every single discussion post! He's passionate, not strict. Share the same passion for the curriculum and you'll earn an A.
Professor Cooper is one of the better professors I have had in my 20+ classes at Regis
Online discussions can be hit or miss. Pat was really engaged with students and challenged thinking and extended concepts with additional research. He demonstrated his knowledge (not just theoretical)
Professor Pat was an excellent professor. He also gave great feed back and more information to research. Awesome!
Pat is great! Learned a lot from him. I appreciated his teaching style, especially for an online class-it felt like we were in the classroom. I feel as if I got to know my classmates and him more in an online setting than I have in an in-person class. Definitely recommend!
Great class, I truly enjoyed it and it was nice to be able to use my current organization as an example in almost all the assignments and discussion. Pat has a lot of experience, great feedback and a great way to convey the material with examples.
Pat was by far the best online lecturer i've had ever had! He truly wants his students to enjoy the subject matter and succeed. 10/10 recommend him. I wish he taught more of the classes I need, I would seriously take him for every single one.
PATRICK COOPER IS AWESOME. A GREAT INTRODUCTION TO GRADUATE LEVEL WORK. LOOK FORWARD TO TAKING ANOTHER CLASS WITH HIM THROUGHOUT MY PROGRAM.
Great professor that genuinely cares about his job and his students!
I really enjoyed this professor and this course. I will say, there are a lot of discussion posts so get ready for those, and there are groups. I was not a fan of the group aspect, but the rest of the course made up for that.
I really enjoyed this professor. He was able to work with me when I was sick. He is great!
Instructor set expectations early on in the course. Reading required for best grade possible however not a heavy load. Great feedback and amazing turn around when grading assignments.
Professor Cooper took a large project and broke it into managable parts. He was very clear regarding his expectations of the students, his availability, and the grading criteria. The "Read This First" posts were helpful guides. He was responsive to questions and concerns. I enjoyed this class.
I enjoyed Cooper. He was supportive and challenging at the same time. He offered words of encouragement, and praise, and direct clear feedback to help improve. Uses team projects, but also creates an environment where teams can hold each other accountable - it's not up to one person to do the work. Great teacher. Would take again!
Pat is very clear in what he expects and takes the time to break down all aspects of the course and the assignments due each week. He is very responsive to questions and clarifications needed and seems personally invested in the success of his students. This capstone course required time and effort and Pat was the ideal guide to get us through.
Professor Cooper will tell you at the beginning of class that he is tough but fair and that is accurate. He will expect you to put in the work if you want to pass with a good grade. He is also one of the more engaged professors I have had week in and week out to challenge theories and impart knowledge.
Professor Cooper is a tough but fair professor that facilitated my Capstone class. He gives positive and useful feedback. He also offers assistance and the chance to make things right if students apply themselves. I highly recommend him to other students because he makes class fun, challenging, and an absolute pleasure.
A challenging class that came with a challenging reading load. I would recommend this professor to follow on students. Thank you.
Patrick Cooper - Patrick Cooper, Professor in the Business Department at Regis University, Denver, CO - was an awesome professor! He communicated at the beginning of the course the expectations and throughout the whole course he supported his students and was a wonderful instructor.
Patrick Cooper was engaging, creative, and fun in his teaching style. He was attentive to each and every student and inspired me to think harder and learn more, all the while sharing his joy and experience of the subject. His expertise is fascinating and I would love to take his class again!
Pat was a tremendous influence in my participation and learning for this course. The grade I earned was partly because of his duty to teach. I wouldn't have been able to grasp the concepts if it weren't for Pat's real-life scenarios and analogies. Great class. I would take it again and definitely recommend to others.
Prof Cooper is an amazing instructor. Extremely knowledgeable about the subject matter and willing to share great insights to drive the point home. Provided good feedback on papers and in discussions. Participates throughout class and expects the same from you. Would take again in a heartbeat
Great Professors, good feedback, support, and communication.
Patrick Cooper is one of the professors that really engages with the entire class. He reads every word and responds with detailed dialogue that makes you feel like you are actually sitting in class. I knew what to expect from day one and when I reached out for clarification he responded promptly.
This was my first class of the MBA program. The guy knows his stuff, from practical lecture materials but more importantly experiences that translate well to the material being studied. Academia is good, but if you can't transform this to the work place, it's a waste and he was far beyond expectations in this area.
Pat was an amazing professor. I would recommend anybody take the courses he teaches!
Really amazing professor!
Awesome professor, give great feedback. It is group project based, however at this point of the coursework most everyone participates. I was lucky to get an amazing group. Truly an awesome class; would definitely take again.
Professor Cooper is a wonderful educator that clearly has a lot of knowledge in his areas of expertise. You can tell he wants students to truly learn from every assignment and be able to apply it to real life. Providing substantial participation by the given deadline is highly important, you'll be right on a track to pass if you follow that rule!
Mr. Cooper was very detailed in his expectations including work assignments grading criteria. He was very personable and provided feedback appropriate to the discussion questions/homework. He was an inspiration to continue pursuing creativity within his students. I highly recommend him and his classes.
Great professor! quite a lot of reading materials, but once you establish a cadence to it, it gets smooth.
This is my second class with Pat and he was amazing in both. I learned more from the discussions in his classes than I did most of my other classes. He is great at trying the work with your situation. He is available outside of class for any help you need.
Pat created an environment of honest discourse of the class topics and kept us on task. By far THE most homework for any of my master's program, but this was, after all, the Capstone class so was to be expected. He related the lessons back to our specific degree making the class even more applicable Tough, but well worth it, enjoyable class!
Pat is very knowledgeable and provide great articles and discussion questions that you learn a lot. Definitely I'll take another class with him.
Professor was able to provide a lot of background information and good advice based on their professional experiences.
Pat is great, he provides solid feedback. You are expected to participate often, be sure to truly engage in the discussions with meaningful posts 3+ days a week.
He was very communicative, awesome class- easy A if you follow along!
I have had this professor before and they always are clear and easy to communicate with.
