Well, this professor scared me at first. He is the only professor that I have ever heard to assign a writing assignment in a math course. He makes it sound like it's hard but as long as you attend each class. He is a very nice guy.

I have never felt like I was good at math until this class. Professor Cureton does whatever he can to help you understand the material & he brings a lot of humor to math. He's a real TEACHER! Be ready to work--go to class and do hw--he expects a lot, but his tests are fair and he offers partial credit/extra credit. I'd recommend him in a hearbeat.

I thought Mr. C was NUTS at first, but overall, I am so glad I took this class. It's the first A in math I EVER had!!!

College algebra... great nice... i just loved him...Business calc... well that was another story... i still loved him as a teacher but now due to the hard level of the class i need extra credit points which he does give but t hey're on the test... Basically only the tests counted and that wasn't good for me... edned up with a C... retaking it now

He give you tests, and quizes. Not too hard if you keep up your homework.

This was my 4th try at Algebra. Math really is not my strong subject. Cureton was very clear. He makes you work for your grade, but he does a great job explaining math to you. I can hear his voice in my head now that I am taking Calc. HCC is the way to go for Math credits. USF math dept sucks in my opinion.

Mr. Cureton expects alot out of his students. However, He is a very good math teacher. Before you take his class you must understand that he expects you to work for your grade. If you sincerely want to learn math Cureton is your teacher, if you want an easy A He is not.

v. good teacher. makes you work for your grade, but helps you when you need it. many quizs. doesnt grade homwork, but if you do it you can do the tests. excellent!

Yes his jokes are corny and he may seem a little bit dry, but his teaching method is FLAWLESS. The attitude that you have going into his class makes a difference.Because he makes you show your work it made me a much better student. Before him I hated math

If you are wanting a teacher that will not make you work and let you slip by. Thats not Mr.Cureton you will learn in this class. At the end of the semester if you apply yourself and really try you will learn and have a grade that reflects this.He is a great teacher and I would take his class again.

First off, do the homework. There's a lot of it, but if you do none of it, that's a letter grade off. Study for his tests, because he's INSANELY specific grading those things. Like he'll take off for VERY minor mistakes or not showing little things. He's often late for class by 5 or 10 minutes. But you'll know the material by the end of class.

He was my all time favorite teacher. He does assign daily homework but it is to benefit you. yes, he is very sarcastic and tells corny jokes but he was always willing to help when i needed it. He does take off points on your test if you don't write down every step, so instead of complaining just do it right the first time. VERY USEFUL CLASS!!!

This is a class you actually have to apply and earn your grade. As long as you do all the homework and take all the notes you will be fine. I f you want a teacher who will let you do half fast work and still pass, he is not the teacher for you. I found him very helpful, even though he was sarcastic at times!!!

I am now in Prof. C's online Trig class and he is extremely helpful. I have had trouble learning to use MyMathLab, but Prof. C has answered all my questions within a day. The work is not easy but I love it. I would highly recommend him and this class. Great teacher.

He's my online teacher. He has answered every question I had, very directly. The class uses MyMathLab. This is my first experience with it, but after the learning curve I've been doing fine. Prof. Cureton is a good facilitator and I would recommend him.

Thanks to Prof. Cureton I didn't drop this online class after missing the first 2 quizzes, and afer a lot of work I'll be getting an A. He answered every question I asked. He handled the online class very well.

Extremely difficult professor. If you aren't good at math do not take his class. I'm pretty decent with numbers and I'm currently struggling to pass his class with a B. He will answer any math related classes you have at the end of class though. So, although he grades his tests very strictly, he does try to help his students understand the material

He explained everything clearly. He was clear on what was expected to pass the tests and the course. He was very helpful. I will look for him as a teacher of my future math courses.

terrible teacher, avoid at all causes, often gives hw assignments of 70+ problems, and grades tests very harshly, its like he gets a bonus for making students fail.

An online math class is hard. This class was okay. There were lots of problems to do each week, but he was good about getting back if I had questions. Test grading took a while on some tests. The course was clearly laid out, with dates for assignments and tests. It did take some effort on my part, but I'd take him online again.

This was online Trig, and soooo easy. No more than 4 hours a week with easy homework. The tests took some study, but they were straight forward and easy to study for. Professor was good at answering questions when asked. But I only had two. Easy smeesy.

I took online because it gave me time to do it, with a full time job and all. Assignments were due every weekend, but you could do them at any time. Cureton emailed me whenever I asked questions. I even went to his office once, and he helped a lot. The first tests took weeks to be graded, but everything else was quick. I'd take his class again

Cureton is very understandable in lecture. He answers all your questions on homework, and is funny too. I needed this for my degree, and he helped me get through. Math is not easy for me, but he made it easier. I would take him again.

This is PreCalc Algebra and Trig in one. It was very intense, but his lectures were clear and easy to understand. If you had questions he'd spend time until you 'got it'. Homework wasn't graded, but if you didn't do it you wouldn't be ready for the tests. He gave good reviews too. I struggled, but he helped me through. Good teacher! Take him!

Math's not my subject, but he got me through it. Whenever I had questions he stopped to answer and explain. Very good at stating how to do the problems. Take good notes and practice, and you'll get an A too.

This class was easy to keep up. The tests were all straight forward with a lot of multiple choice. This was an easy A.

Homework is all online. Quizzes too. Takes a little time each week, but not really hard. Tests are right off the homework probs. A little harder than online Trig, but not by much. I'd take it again if it'd count.

Math is easier with Mr. Cureton then others. He's pretty funny in class, which helps. He also gives extra credit, which got me through. If you find math tough, take him.

I made it! I made it! This was my third time taking Business Calc, and Professor Cureton got me through it. I hate math, but he made it easier. His lectures are really clear, and he let us know what was on the tests. He also gave extra credit, which got me over the hump. Definitely take him, if you want to pass.

Mr. Cureton is very clear in his lectures. And answered questions whenever I had them, even if they were on 'old' material. The tests were tough, but he gave us many chances for extra credit. Math is not my best subject (ok, it's my worst), but I passed, with the extra credit help.

This was my last class to graduate. I flunked the first test, but Mr. Cureton worked with me to improve, and it did. I passed all the other tests. Yes, it took some work, but what worthwhile task doesn't take work? Be prepared, do your homework, ask questions when you don't understand, and you'll pass!

This was an online PreCalc Algebra class. It took a good amount of time doing the assignments, although he gives you extra time after the due dates to finish, if you didn't. But practice makes perfect, and I did well on all the tests. Didn't even have to take the Final Exam, as its optional, not required. Would take again, if I could.

Professor Cureton was one of the best teachers I have ever had. Especially for Math. You'll have to do your homework, but he answers every question you have. We got behind on the schedule, but he didn't rush to catch up, he adjusted the sections so we still had time. And told very funny jokes!

This was a fun math class. I can't believe I just wrote that, but it is. Okay, some topics were tough, like consumer math. But the rest was really interesting, and Mr. C made it so. he presented it in a way that made me want to learn. I highly recommend.

This was an online class, with lots of homework problems. But if you do those you're getting ready for the tests. The tests followed the homework every time. Whenever I had questions, he was quick to get back to me. Communication was good; that or the syllabus kept me on track. I always knew what I needed to concentrate on next. Recommended!

Mr. C was great. I missed a test (scoring a zero), and still made a B. He was very helpful and responsive with my concerns. And I was very concerned when I missed the test! The homework helped a lot. Do your homework. All your homework and other assignments, and you'll pass this class. I would take him again.

No math since '05 and I did well w/ Mr. C. He's a tough and very specific in the work he wants to see, but follow the guidelines, complete the assigned work, show up for class, do the extra credit and you will succeed. It's IMPOSSIBLE to fail. Great communication. Stays after class to help if necessary. A bit funny. Never a dull moment.

Not very good at math. Do your homework. Very strict on grading for homework. Best math teacher I've had but you have to work.

I hate Math, but MR. C made it bearable. He kept working with me, even when I didn't get it. His patience and my perseverance, and the extra credit is what got me through this class. without the extra credit I only had a "D", but with it went to a "C". YEAH! No more math. EVER! Now I only have to worry about my finance classes. Whew.

Online class, with all assignments done online. Tests were online and in a test center. The work was okay, nothing hard. You just have to keep up with the schedule so you get everything done. When I had trouble, and got behind, Professor Cureton was very understanding and helped me through. With that I passed the class. Would take again!

READ THE SYLLABUS!! He does give extra credit, however you WILL need it just to pass. He is an EXTREMELY tough grader. I work hard for my 4.0 GPA and I easily put in 20-30 hours a week into getting tutor help. He doesn't always cover what is in the homework. No matter the professor you take for this class expect to put work in but do NOT take him.

This was an online class, so it was tougher. Lots of time spent on homework, but it was easier to get through once I started going over the textbook first, and following the examples. But, all that work did get me ready for the tests. Tests are just writing out the same as practice. He helped me out every time I went to his office. Great Prof!

I took this course this semester going off the mixs reviews that Professor Cureton had and he IS one of the tough graders. He wants to see you know the steps, not just randomly guessing. Once I got that I did well. THERE IS EXTRA CREDIT. Take really good notes, and practice problems. He'll answer any questions, even simple things. Good teach!

If you value your GPA and don't have 30, or more, hours per week to complete the homework and additional study time, MAC 1147, with any proffesor, isn't for you. Professor Cureton will explain any of your questions until you understand. Even if it's something you should already know. He grades very tough but offers extra credit. Read the syllabus!

Professor Cureton was very helpful and supportive throughout the semester. He spent time to explain the material until it sounded easy, and I could do it. Without his help I wouldn't have made it through. I really, really appreciate it. I would definitely take his class again.

This specific class was online and in the summer. A lot of homework, but necessary to fully comprehend the topics. Professor Cureton is available during office hours to sit down with and is very helpful. Students need to start looking at themselves rather than negatively reviewing a professor who is clear with his expectations and very helpful.

Professor Cureton is a wonderful professor. He is incredibly helpful and informative. The homework load is ALOT but he really cares about whether you are able to pass or not. He really does take his time to help you better understand what you can not.

I think this course is set up great. I think Mr. Cureton did great as an instructor because whenever I sent an email to him, he responded in a timely manner. I think there are some harder topics, but they can be done with effort.

I needed college algebra for nursing. I'm not that great at math. However, professor cureton encouraged me on a regular basis, and I made it through. I still don't really like math, but he made me see it is worthwhile and useful. He also helped me get through. Without him talking me into putting the work in, I don't think I would have passed.

Love, love, love him. This was the same algebra I took last year in HS. It was pretty easy. The professor is funny, and gives lots of chances for getting the grade. He makes the math seem very straight forward. Good lectures. Take him, he's great.

He was such a positive influence that he inspired my confidence and motivation to do math. I never thought I was very good at it before. Never did well in high school, and didn't think I could. His attention and teaching methods changed that. I now do math, and know I can. That's amazing. Thank you Professor Cureton!

Very helpful. I'm not great at math, but Prof Cureton does a great job at showing you step by step all of the details. You won't get lost because he's there to help. He does make you show all of your work on the tests, but he explains everything to include. I'm doing better in the course than any other math I've taken!

This was an online class, with online homework and quizzes. But any time I had a problem, he was there to help. The hardest part is staying on task with the online assignments. There are due dates, but no one to tell you to do it, except yourself.

Prof. Cureton is an excellent teacher. He is very honest on his grading and always explains the detail on all math. The way he teaches and talks to his student is great and he even has a great sense of humor. Homework is a must if your going to pass along with the 2 class projects. If you study and take note you should pass his class easily.

Always goes over homework at the beginning of class for anyone who has questions. There are 5 test and 5 group worksheets the day before every test. The worksheets are very similar to the test which is super helpful. MyMathLab is not required. He's a really good teacher who has no problem re-explaining something. Also offers extra credit.

I took MAT1033 with Cureton online for the fall 18 semester. Very clear and straightforward. He was easy to reach outside of normal hours. Responds quickly to emails and questions. There is a lot of homework, but if you pace yourself with one lecture and the homework per day, you'll be just fine.

Amazing teacher. Take his class face to face to better understand. Mostly all my math classes I chose him. We can go over 3 lessons in a chapter in one class sitting. Very informative but you must be present to pass. This class is easy credits and if you dont like math sit up front its very educational.

He is a tough grader, his lectures are heavy with information, he encourages you to do the homework, even though it doesn't add up to your grade, and his tests are tough. However, I'm thankful for having him as a professor. He helped me to believe in myself and to never give up. He prepares you for university-level difficulty courses.
