Good Teacher! He knows what he's doing. He takes time to explain difficult concepts. In lab he will really put things into perspective with lecture. I am plannin to take him for Organic so he's definnitely recomended in my book!

He does know what he is talking about in organic chemistry. He did very good reviews for carboxylic acid derivatives and carbonyl reactions. He covers the chapters thouroughly in class, but he still expects students to read the text at least once because he wants them to learn well.

He speaks very clearly and is willing stop what he is doing to help you understand what is going on both in the lab and the classroom. The only thing I did not like was that he reads off the book exactly and doesnt know how to manage his time of lecture. Does not give very good reviews for tests.

Fowler is the man. He is extremely helpfull. If he sees that you are studying and that you are serious about the class, there is no reson why anyone should give him a bad review. Yes, he teaches out of the book, but where do you think all the other org teachers gets their notes from? Fowler 4 Prez!

He is so nice, even if you ask him a question during the exam he will truly help you, all you have to do is talk to him every now and then so that he can tell you are interested in the material, participate in class. My tip to you: read the chapter B4 class (at least the terms.) He's really nice.

The people that don't open the book to study are the ones that will give this teacher a bad review. There is no reason why anyone should fail this class with Fowler teaching it. Get of your ass and study SLACKER!

He is an excellent teacher..he is very clar, and organized in his lectures. The lectures help in the labs as well. And he is extremly helpful in labs also. YOU CAN NOT GO WRON IF YOU CHOOSE THIS PROFFESSOR. Just read the book, a few times if you dont understand, b4 lectures...it helps! And practice homework and book problems!

he is the best teacher. his notes come from the book so they aren't all that helpful. but he is so helpful on the exams if you dont understand something. he likes eager students, so make sure you show an interest in the material and he will help you as much as possible. homeworks arent too bad either. he's really helpful with the labs as well. EASY

His class is fair. He is not the best teacher but not the worst. He should put more effort into alternative explanations. Study and ask questions and you will do well. Chem is not supposed to be easy, it should be fair and he is.

Mr. Fowler is the BEST! Ok, I am a chemistry retard! I have always struggled with this class and I got an A with him. His tests come straight from his notes and if you can do the homework you can do the test. He is more than willing to help you during a test. I highly recommend him, and I am taking him through organic. Kudos Mr. Fowler!!!

Had Mr. Fowler for CHMI and now CHMII and he is a great teacher, more than willing to go the extra mile to ensure his students pass his tests and do well in the class. I highly recommend him to all students. I am not a strong chemistry student and I got an A in both courses.

Take him if you can! He isn't the best professor ever but he helps you as much as you need it especially on tests. Make sure you do all of the labs and do well on them. Homework is a must. It comes from the book and is only 3-6 problems but if you can do the homework you can do the test. Study for the test off of your homework. Final is very fair.

Great teacher, got an A. He can make it a little hard to stay awake during lecture and is sometimes hard to follow but is more than willing to help. I would definetly recommend him.

No powerpoints. All notes are written on the board. Do not depend on a curve, there is none. But he is very helpful. Do the homework, and you'll do fine on the exams.

Patrick Fowler is a great Professor. He helps you like crazy on the test as well as the home and the labs. His lectures are straight out from the book so if you read the book you will do very good in his class. Its Organic II so you have to study but the he helps you on the test and is very helpful when you ask him a question. Do the homework.

I took him for both OChem 1 and 2. He is a good teacher. You will have to study. The people who give him bad reviews just want an A without having to study. The tests and homework are straight from the book so you MUST read the book. Overall a very good teacher. Also adds in some funny comments here and there.

He is an awesome teacher. His class is a peace of cake as long as you actually show up every day and take notes. Look over your notes for the tests because his notes are put in the simplest terms. He's usually pretty good about taking things late too so no worries if you miss the deadline on something. Attendence is not mandatory but recommended.

The first test is very hard, but once you get past this, he is very helpful and clear. Do all the homework and reinforce his lectures by doing the problems in the book and you will get a good grade.

This guy is cool. His notes are "fill in the blank" and if you pay attention, they help. Exams are very straight forward, no curve balls. No "definitions" on tests except Test 1, all "math" problems etc. Labs were really easy, he gave hints for everything. Class almost felt too easy. If you want an A, take this guy. Follows book to the T.

Fowler is a really nice guy, and kinda funny too. His Org 1 course is a bit difficult, and lectures can be a little boring. He teaches straight from the book, so be prepared to take 4-5 pages of notes each class. Labs were pretty easy, but he grades them hard. You have to really work for your grade, especially on labs and hw's. Tests were okay.

I had a hard time at first but after reading the text and doing homework assignments I ended up with a B. He is very fair and offers help when asked. Go to his office hours but make sure you go over the material first. If you are just trying to coast thru w/little effort you wont pass. Take the course including labs seriously and you will do great!

Prof. Fowler is amazing! He is extremely helpful especially if you go to his office hours. He truly cares about your education and WONT just give you answers! You must work towards them and come up with them yourself. I'm not the best at chem, but he helped me through and I really learned the material! Text & attendance are necessary.

Although he helps students during tests, his labs are insanely tough and his tests are short answers and very hard. NO MULTIPLE CHOICE. He doesn't explain well. He knows the material but he doesn't know how to convey it to his students. The so-called notes and review sheets are useless. I am an A student and I got B in his class. STAY AWAY!

Fowler is in my top three professors at East Campus. I spent a lot of time in his office as the material gets hard towards the end. He's also helped me figure out direction for major. His notes suck (just download Becker's) and labs are impossible, but just go to his office. He will help you with anything, very patient professor!! I got an A!!

He is a great professor. He cares about helping students and will help you with anything! Don't be lazy, do the homework, and ask him questions if you're unsure about something. 2nd time taking his class. Got A's both times.

Org2. Study his reviews and you'll ace the tests. Just write the mechanisms 10 times each or more and you should be fine. He helps you out w homework and tests. Gives hints, etc. Def reccomend him. Knows stuff. Good comm skills. Take good notes bc it helps with hw and test reviews. One of my fav professors.

Really hard test. They weren't multiple choice at all, so study study study! He helps you during the exams. Do the homework and he won't get angry with you at all.

A very knowledgeable professor who is willing to help students with anything they do not understand right away. As long as you try your best to listen to the lectures, read the textbook before the tests, and concentrate on the labs you will get an A.

Nice man, knows chemistry, but isn't the best at teaching it. He's very helpful though, especially on tests, Will practically give you the answer if you ask the right questions. Just do the HW and labs(does grade them a little hard) and ask questions on the test, and you should get a B or an A. I ended up with an A, they are very attainable.

Extremely helpful. I took him for both chem 1 and chem 2. He is amazing. You can get help on anything you need including during exams. As long as you do the hw and labs, you should seriously be fine on tests. The post lab questions he makes himself are what you should make sure you understand along with the hw questions for the tests.

This professor had exams every other week, homework due for each chapter and pre and post lab assignments. He was a great chem prof. as long as you pay attention and practice many problems you will do well. This professor is extremely chill and really wants the best for every so he will go out of his way to make sure you understand.

Professor Fowler is an amazing one! I've always struggled with feeling silly asking questions for fear that I may be looked upon as stupid, but he actually encourages you to do so. Very helpful when it comes to taking tests as again, he encourages questions from you to help succeed.

Took chem 1. Labs are easy just make sure to write all calculations. Lectures can be mind numbing, talks nonstop from start to finish. Even still does a good job explaining things if you can keep your focus. Very in depth reviews before tests which almost make the tests too easy. He is a caring approachable guy and will help whenever needed

Professor Fowler will help in any way possible & will help prep everyone to the fullest in exams. Lectures may be a little dry, but it is incredibly clear and concise. Very patient, will take his time with everyone. He is more lenient for turn in of Labs and HW, up until the day of the exam. If you want to do well in engineering/science, take him!

Professor Fowler is an amazing professor! I was ill for most of the semester and couldn't attend the lecture but his understanding and his patience allowed me to succeed. He doesn't enforce due dates and allows you to make corrections to homework and his tests are pretty easy as long as you do his reviews. Wish I could take him on CHM 1046!

This course isn't tough as long as you put in time and effort in it. Professor Fowler is always there to help when you need him, so don't be afraid to ask!

Professor Fowler is determined to teach you the materials and will take points off for little things, but I believe it is to better your understanding of what you're learning. Tests are essentially built upon the homework assignments and never multiple choice so it's essential that you put the work in.

This is the best chemistry professor. He explains in a very detailed manner and he is an excellent human being. Chemistry is a tough subject so don't expect it to be a walk in the park. You have to do study A LOT for chemistry, but this teacher is awesome in explaining everything to the details. I would definitely take again.

Prof Fowler is hands down the best choice for Chemistry at Valencia. He's very intelligent and passionate about the subject. I came into Chem 2 feeling very insecure in my chemistry knowledge with a poor base from my previous chem classes and left feeling excited and confident about the subject. He is a tough grader and will take points off for little things but he's also very clear and thorough about what he wants and what he expects. Labs are worth a big chunk so triple check everything and ask him to look over whatever you're unsure of. He's always willing to help. Exams are formatted like his homeworks and are now in the testing center

Great professor, goes over every hw problem, test reviews. gives everything you need to know to be successful. easy to reach, good feedback in all tests, hw, and labs. caring. tough grader, 4 tests 10 questions each + final, pre& post labs 1 paper per group. very collaborative. book required, can find older versions accepted by him online.

amazing person, will help you when you need help and he gives amazing feedback. I didnt like the way he teaches bc hes all over the place and takes away petty points away on the exams. But besides that, his hw is straightforward and the exams are like the hw. Labs are a big part of your grade so do good on those.

Professor Fowler is a great person and he's honestly a very nice and understanding person. The only thing I didn't like about his class were the exams which were in a free-response format. He grades a little tough( i.e. takes off for units), but you can always ask him questions about it. The lab and homework help a lot, so do them!!

Best detailed professor for chm breaking down each step. Doesn't seem approachable but literally always willing to help. Stay on track, do all hw and review. He lays out everything in notes & reviews. I appreciated him to an extreme. Take his examples into consideration and the book & attendance provides super extra help but not mandatory.

here are some tips. Lectures are full,has breaks. He's detailed and takes off minor points that could add up. He gives outstanding feedback. Friendly. You learn so much. Try study groups. Like 5 tests. HW per chapter. Pre+post lab. Guides you through test and work. I tested in testing center. review examples. test ques. have parts. HELPFUL reviews.

Do every homework on time, and try to keep on track with the material. IT IS NOT A DIFFICULT CLASS. however, you have to do your work. He does reviews for each test and they are supper helpful ! his tests are very similar to the homework. Sometimes he takes points of for minor details, but you can re-submit homework and get full credit.

Prof. Fowler is an incredible instructor; however he will give you a TON of material that you will need to mentally filter during lectures. He is incredibly reasonable and kind. He will work with you, but prepared to do a lot of leg work. Lecture heavy. You will have to understand the material thoroughly to get a good grade on exams.

Prof. Fowler is AMAZING. Had to take chem online due to Covid & he was extremely communicative. He allows multiple opps to complete HW (1 per chap, some were combined) & two tries on the labs after he gives feedback. Theres four exams and a final, but he axed the final for this semester bc of time. You gotta put in work, but he helps a LOT.

There are 0 lectures, he only provides notes summarizing each chapter. But he is very flexible, lets you re-do hw and labs for a better grade. This was the second class that I take with him. ill have to say that the only bad thing is that there is no lecture or at least videos, but he is very flexible with the due dates and homework. You can re-submit your paper after he gives you feedback and gets full credit. The exams are open book and you have 3 days to complete them. Recommended

Took the class online. Didnt make any lectures it was a vey self taught class but he gave you all the resources to study from. Book will be your best friend many examples that will help you on exams and hw. He gives you notes for every chapter with the important things to know. He would let you correct your hw and re submit for a better grade.

Professor Fowler is a good professor he truly does care about you and you're grade because he really wants you to understand the lecture and he gives a lot of feedback when something is wrong. He also talks fast. Reason why I got a C+ is because he wants you to be very specific on your answer and you're work, and I procrastinate.

One of THE best professors in his field. Talks insanely fast and can be intimidating at times but very much passionate and knowledgeable about his field. As long as you give the same level of effort he does you'll pass just fine and learn way more then you'd think. Remember to bombard him with questions and participate in class as it goes far.

Hands down this was my favorite science professor. I took him for a 6 week term and learned a lot from his lectures, his notes are also very neat. The exams were open note and you could use whichever resources you want as long as he knows you're learning.

Take him for chem 2! His tests are take home tests and all of the examples of problems are in his notes he posts in canvas. Homework also comes straight from the notes. He allows you to redo homework to improve your grade. He thoroughly explains things when you ask him a question and truly wants you to learn the material.

I had this professor for chem 1 and 2. I would recommend him to anybody. Chemistry is not an easy class and the math his hard but this professor will help you and make sure you pass. Labs are fun and the lectures are long but lots of information. 100% recommend him but be ready because chemistry is hard overall no matter what teacher you have.

Great man, very information heavy but he provides well organized notes which he references in lecture, He goes over hw problems in class to understand applications, along with examples. Tests are take home online, no quizzes. Anything with labs is in a group. He is very understanding with deadlines and redos for hw. he wants you to learn.

Professor Fowler's class is challenging but rewarding. He provides great resources like an open-book format and resubmission options. unstuck AI was a game-changer for study prep. Overall, a solid class choice.

For homeworks tests and labs he is EXTREMELY nitpicky, even the smallest detail will get points off. You can always keep resubmitting the HW many times but at least exams are all online, no final, and 1 HW (~9 questions) every 1-2 weeks. Also no lab exam, and labs were straightforward. Lectures are virtually optional, as the notes are all online.

Chemistry is a complex subject as it is, but Professor Fowler made it easy to digest and enjoy! This is by far one of the best professors I've ever had when it comes to knowledge, a passion for teaching, and accessibility. He grades assignments timely and gives great feedback. Take Chemistry with this Professor, you will learn and won't regret it!

Professor Fowler always had time for students before or after class. His lectures can drone on, but that was because I took him in summer so a lot of course content was covered. The lab work is group based, a small part of your grade but you will be spending a large amount of time on it. HW is very particular, gives feedback for every wrong answer.

He is the best professor, took 1045 and 1046 with him on summer and is definitely the best. His exams are exactly like the homeworks and you have infinite tries for the hw if you get something wrong, you just need to follow his feedback. No lab practicals but all lab group members will get the same grade on each assignment. Overall he is the goat.
