Mr. Gorman has by far been the best professor I have ever had. I have taken 2 of his classes and have enjoyed both of them extremely well. I have never known an instructor to care for his students as much as he does. He goes way beyond the line of duty to ensure his pupils the best education. His class is demanding but more than fair. I think he's great. he said he'd go out of his way to help us out even if it means meeting at midnight. There's so much extra credit too! you could get a C on an exam but then get an A because of all the extra credit. We watch a lot of movies too. Plus the man is back in school and still goes out of his way to help us out. I'll be taking more of his classes in the future.

Patrick is the BEST instructor on the campus, as well as the fairest. I started this class afraid of my professor, but Patrick really cares about the material and the study. He pushed us to be a college class, not high schoolers. I respected him for trying to help us be part of the minority that go on to a larger university and ultimately graduate. He was very caring of his students when you where genuinely engaged.

This class was not easy, but you get a lot out of it. The exams are tough, but if you do all the work you're really well prepared for them. OMG, how could anyone one give Patrick a bad rating? He is a wonderful teacher, passionate about his work and he truly cares for his students. To the half of the class that did not pass. I loved Patricks class. He turns out very relatable stories to his students and it helps to understand the materials. He says the class is 50/50 text to lecture, but it's more like 90/10 lecture to text. As long as you pay attention, you're golden in his class. I would recommend it to anyone.

I think that anyone who didn't like Patrick or his class happens to be the 90% that he always talks about. For some reason my first ones did not go through. Patrick is a very good professor. I learned a a lot from him BECAUSE he demanded a lot. He also cares about his students. I enjoyed the class with Patrick very much. He requires the students to put in effort and earn their grades. But I just studied my lecture notes really well and did every extra credit opportunity and I got a A. His tests are hard, but he basically tells you what is going to be on the test and gives you every opportunity to ask questions.

This is my 2nd time having Patrick as a professor. This class was harder (material wise) than my 2st clas but Patrick was always available to answer questions and he responded to all my emails. Patrick is the kind of prof that really stands by his students all he asks is that you put in the effort. He really wants you to learn and be your best.

This class is not for those who want to take the easy road. It's challenging, BUT, rewarding! If you just trust him, he wont set you up for failure. Let's just say that the psych lesson isnt just in the book and in the lecture, but you live it while in class. He's the best professor i've ever had, but he makes you work your butt off!

I took Patrick Gorman's class for Winter Quarter. He seems harsh at first but all you need to know is to always be very detailed with your answers and you'll get full points. Make sure to pay attention to his lectures and take notes. Everything he lectures about usually ends up on a test. Pay attention and show up to class and you'll be fine.

Took Psych101 and 208 the same quarter. His bark is worse than his bite. Absolutely my FAVORITE instructor at EdCC. Come to class, read the text and do as he says. Tests are intimidating but not bad if you know the material. And awesome stories. Love Patrick to death!!!
