If you do the readings and come to class you will do well. He is a cool professor who makes the lectures fun to listen to. Shows funny clips from news shows and movies.
Great professor. Fun and funny. He keeps you interested and makes the class easy to understand. I looked forward to going
Interesting class. Make sure you read and come to class for the quizzes. He gives enough quizzes and assignments that bombing one or two won't kill you. Laugh out loud every week.
One of my favorite classes that I've taken at TCC! Professor Green is fun and makes the class interesting so you actually end up paying attention and learning.
Take professor Green if you get the chance! Extremely fun and interesting class. I learned a lot for sure. No surprises on exams if you come to class and pay attention.
Fun lectures, you can use your notes on tests, gives you study guides, and there are essay questions so take good notes!
Lectures maybe long, but he is extremely knowledgeable on the subject. You can really tell that he enjoys teaching political science. Test were easy and he always allowed open notes.
Professor Green is awesome! There are quizzes every week so you have to come to class. Take good notes and you'll be fine on the exams. The lectures are entertaining. He is a political science nerd but in a good way!
I had a great time in class and learned a lot. He is extremely knowledgeable and easy to understand. Tests are not bad if you come to class pay attention and take good notes. I would definitely take him for anything he teaches.
Pat is a great professor. I was dreading taking this class because I hate political science but he made the class fun and interesting.
Professor Green is a fun and interesting professor. He really enjoys Political science and makes it fun and interesting. He has extra credit available and is very understanding of students issues.
Not bad at all. The class is required so everyone has to take it. Make sure you take someone who at least makes it enjoyable like professor Green. Covers a ton of material, but he makes it easy to understand. You will learn a ton about politics.
Pat Green is awesome. Lectures are full of information, current events are talked about which makes it interesting. He is fun to listen to. He has a great sense of humor and adds a bit of entertainment to the subject. Takes good notes. Attend class. And you will do well. Welcomes class participation. Is respectful of students. Great person/teacher.
He is a really great teacher. The class is pretty hard because the material is boring, but he makes the best of it. I would take anything he taught if I could.
Best I've had at TCC. Not a blow off but not too hard either. Looked forward to class because he's so fun
Professor Green was an amazing professor and I would definitely take his class again if needed. His lectures were informative however he is a fast talker. Reccomendation: Tape the lectures with his permission so you won't miss anything.
He is awesome. One of the few professors I will try to keep in touch with after the class.
Really good class and a really awesome guy. I wish I could take him for more than just this class.
Fun class, Pat is a very cool professor. I learned some new stuff and had fun. He tells a lot of jokes.
Pat is really good. The class isn't hard at all if you take notes. He was the best I had this semester by far.
Great instructor! Made Federal Government super interesting!
5 points for every class attend and those points go toward the tests. Tests and final are take home (easy A).
Professor Green is one of a kind when it comes to teaching American Government. If you are like me and hate history or political science for that matter, this is the instructor you are going to want. Green breaks things down very well and keeps it interesting. He is involved in the political world himself, which makes him a great open book.
Professor Green is the best I had this semester. Come to class for the daily quiz, turn your papers in on time and review for the test and you'll make an A.
Pat Green is a great professor. The type of guy that can create a fun learning environment over something not many people enjoy. He practices legal stuff outside of the classroom, so he really knows a lot of interesting things that he applies to everyday life. Highly highly recommend!!
He's a great Professor. Lectures are heavy since it was only a month's class. Exams/Finals are take-homes. Quizzes will be in class, so just take notes while he's discussing, and you'll be able to answer. He's a very knowledgeable and fun Professor. You'll learn more about government stuff and all. I would recommend it and take him again.
Took a 4-week class from professor Green last fall. Easily the most entertaining class and the class I learned the most. The short time frame made it A LOT of information to cover, but I did fine.
Professor Green gives a lot of opportunities to earn extra credit. He has also been the most reasonable teacher I have had. I recommend taking his class.
Only got to go to the first two lectures and then COVID happened. The first two lectures were awesome and the online content was awesome. He was up front that we didn't sign up for online school and he didn't sign up to teach online that semester so we are all in this together. He was pretty easy on us because of all the craziness.
I left this class till the end because I thought it would be difficult but he was a good teacher and I really enjoyed his class! Take him for Government.
He is awesome. His powerpoint is EXACTLY what you need to know for the exam and his lectures are great. Most likable professor I have had at TCC.
Professor Green is a great professor! Would definitely recommend!
I loved Professor Greens class!!! He was the best professor, super chill and laid back. He is understanding and cares for his students. He knows the material well and teaches it well. If you show up to class and take notes you cant fail. The exams are open note and he gives you a review to use as well. Super easy class and professor!!!
Professor Green is Awesome! He practices law outside of being a teacher and brings a lot of interesting information from his practices into his lectures. It is a lot of lecturing but if you like to sit listen and take notes definitely take this class.
Super nice guy, not always accessible outside of class, slow grader. Lectures can get pretty boring but clear content criteria and clear grading.
i honestly thought i was going to be bored in this class but there was something about his lectures that kept me interested lol! he isnt a tough grader and his sense of humor is top tier. i would be myself and leave dumb notes on my test like "i dont think im gunna pass" and he still gave me a good grade on all of my things. 10/10 for mr green
Professor Green was great and super nice! He is very good at explaining politics and the federal government very well. He is also a lawyer so he gives great insight into his past cases which is interesting. Although going to class is not mandatory, you should definitely go to take notes or you won't pass the exams.
Professor Green was amazing. Very clear grading criteria, quick to respond to emails, gives good feedback, appreciates participation in class. Would take another of his classes no questions asked. I was hesitant on taking a government class but he made it fun and interactive.
I took his online 8-week class and had clear criteria of what he wanted for papers and provided test essays beforehand. The quizzes are a great guide for the tests. Tests are lockdown browser/webcam. Follow his criteria and you will do well on papers and discussions. Textbook is only source of info. Be ready to read and use your resources.
My class was the 8 week online class. There was a lot of work every week. Essay due every other week, but he was very fair with grading. He didn't teach anything, you just read the chapters on your own. The quizzes were open book but the exams were on lockdown browser and kind of hard, however he provided the possible essay questions beforehand.
I took government as an 8 week class so the work was more condensed. You'll read a few chapters each week (lots of reading) and take a quiz on each chapter, most questions on the tests come from the quizzes so pay attention to them. 4 papers each 2 pages long. If you read the chapters and turn everything in you should receive an A. Recommend!
Overall a really good professor who is lecture heavy but makes it interesting.
The 8 week course was an insane amount of reading and the tests are respondus lockdown monitor which made it difficult to remember all of the content you had to cram read with no notes, I will say he's a great professor and can be accomodating, however the work load was alot if you're a fulltime student.
This professor is really nice I took his eight weeks online course. I had to take four protected tests at home, Four essays, four quizzes not protected, and four discussions
Professor Green was awesome. It was a very lecture-oriented class, but he knows his stuff and makes the lecture relevant and interesting. Take good notes and you'll do fine, especially since exams are open-note.
Professor Green was amazing! Really knew what he was talking about and made lecture very interesting. There are a few opportunities for extra credit as well. Just show up, do the work, and take notes and you'll pass.
Lecture heavy, but super engaging. We did things like keep up with presidential approval ratings and took the political alignment test as a class, and learned a lot that way. He incorporated real life stories, current events, into his lectures which was super fun. Only had one writing assignment, two tests and the final. Super easy, 10/10 recommend
I took professor green's american fed government class and it was honestly one of my fav classes. i would highly recommend him and he's a super understanding professor. I'd recommend going to his classes because even though he has slides posted, he goes more in depth in class. Great professor, 10/10.
He is awesome! Such a kind-hearted person. He wants his students to do well. Take his class! Exams are proctored online. Study the quizzes and vocab and you will do well on the test.
Best prof of freshman year. made Fed Gov/PoliSci fun. "blended" course, I wish we had in-person class more than 1x/week. each class went over why the current president's approval number went up/down, start of each class went over any interesting political news. Easy to talk to and open to students having their own ideas. 11/10. 3 essays/semester.
An amazing professor for dual-credit students. He is very lecture heavy but finds ways to make it engaging and interesting. A lot of time to work on assignments. 3 exams and 2 assignments. Worked around the dual-credit students high school schedules and overall an amazing.
Processor Green, is a very nice guy. He is very clear with criteria on assignments If you read the chapters given and go to the lectures once a week, your understanding of class material will be clear. If you have a good understanding of the material from the class you will do well in the course. I highly recommend this professor.
I took the blended class. You only have to go once a week and you do reading, quizzes, and papers online. Professor Green is the best I have had at TCC. I learned a ton and the class discussions were great. Not a stressful class, but you do have to get the work done to do well. As long as you don't fall behind it is pretty easy.
BEST PROF EVER. super easy class. he makes lectures intresting. no testss. only papers per unit. i took his blended class. would def take again.
Quiz, Paper, Quiz, Exam. That's how every two weeks goes. Quiz and Paper due one week, Quiz and Exam due the other week. The tests were pretty hard but he gave good little study guides and everything else was really easy. Very easy to communicate with, I'm really happy I was able to get into this class (although I despise the subject). 10/10
The BEST professor at TCC. Very understanding when you have a conflict or an issue and have to miss class. I'm a high school student taking his class and I LOVED it.
Genuinely the sweetest Professor I have ever had at TCC. I struggled with the lockdown browser in two different final exams and he ended up exempting me from both. I do not think any other teacher has been so lenient and caring about any student. I highly recommend him and would definitely take his class again.
TAKE PROFESSOR GREEN! You will NOT regret it. Majority of our unit exams were take home and his lectures were just so entertaining. If he came out with a podcast I would honestly listen to it nonstop just because of the way he explains stuff and how he can relates his lectures into todays issues and "gen z" humor. Go take his class!!!
If you take this class, don't take the online one. I made that mistake and it was awful. You are basically relying on yourself the whole time. The professor was easy to access and responded fairly quickly, but you couldn't really ask major questions. I heard his in-person class is so much better, so just take that.
Prof. Green was great but the online class was not my favorite. I don't feel like you get to know him very well in the online class. I had family and work issues and HE WAS AMAZING and I really got to know him then. He worked with me and was so patient and accommodating! I wish I had him in person. He is such a good person and I learned a lot.
I've never had a professor at TCC who cared so much about me and who helped me figure out how to get the grade I wanted to make. Seriously, other professors should take lessons in customer service from professor Green. I thought the online class was HARD, but he is just the best person I've worked with in college.
Quite a few papers assigned but very doable and easy to make an A on each one. Exam every other week, study your quizzes and the essay questions he gives before exams. I took this as an accelerated class and didn't struggle to stay on top of homework. Also gave an option for extra credit! Papers & discussions made the subject actually interesting!
I haven't had this much fun in a class and also learned things. Professor Green is the best. We talk a lot about current events in class and even though he lectures a lot it isn't boring. Probably the most interesting class I've taken at TCC. We did have two people in class who talked too much and spoke up at weird times but he handled it.
THE BEST professor I have ever had. His course is not difficult at all, do your work! He has engaging and FUN lectures that make you want to attend class! I took his 16week blended class, which was 1 lecture a week; having assignments, quizzes, etc. online. He is incredibly caring and wants you to succeed. If you can-- take Prof. Pat Green's class!
His classes were mostly lectures but he did a great job at keeping them entertaining. His exams are not hard if you keep up with your notes but he provides study guides which cover everything on the exam and you can also use notes on exams. I 100% recommend taking his course he's genuinely a great guy!
The best I have had at TCC. Actually understands what a community college is! I had things happen during the semester that were out of my control. I thought I was going to fail, but he helped me out. Not all of my professors even cared about what was going on in my life, but Mr. Green did.
Best professor I could ask for! Easy work if you do them before their deadlines. His lectures are HILARIOUS, take them in person if you can. I looked forward to his classes and lectures. 100% recommend taking his class if you can!!
He is great, realistic, understanding, and made me care about politics when I usually hate it. Great dude, take him, you won't regret it.
..........
If you're a high student or someone with a lot of stuff going on outside of class Pat Green is who you should take. One of the only professors I've had so far at TCC who seems to understand what a community college is. I learned a ton and he worked with me when I had to miss several weeks for a personal issue that was something out of my control.
Green was a very good professor. He is very passionate about his teaching which makes him very knowledgeable. His tests and essays were easy as long as you put effort into them. He was a very nice guy and I would recommend him to anyone.
ABSOLUTELY RECCOMEND THIS PROFESSOR. Mr. Green is very passionate about his class and students. He is someone i would take another class with if he would teach a different one. very attentive and respectful. ENJOY!!
Professor Green makes history engaging and easy to understand. He breaks down topics clearly, uses timelines well, and keeps the class involved. I always looked forward to his lecture and appreciated how fun and informative they were. Highly recommend.
Professor Green is very chill and a nice professor. i took his blended class and it was the most easiest class ever. ALL assignments are just literally reading quizzes online and in each unit---there is 3---1 paper is due. i HIGHLY recommend professor green! this class is very easy!
Professor Green is a great professor. I took his 16-week course blended class, and it was the easiest class ever. He has small online quizzes and 3-2-1 exit tickets for each chapter in the textbook, which do not take long---the reading does though! In the 3 units there is one paper due. Just work hard, put effort and you will pass!
Easy class. All exams are open-note. My only complaint is that I sent him 4 emails over the 16 week semester, and I never got a response to any of them.
Do the work, come to class, and you'll pass the class. His lectures aren't just about the textbook, but things that are actually going on in the government right now!
Prof Green is great! I wish he taught all my classes
Took his summer online class. Had some issues with travel and work and he helped me figure it out. Only professor I have had who emailed me and told me how well I needed to do on the last chapter to keep my grade. Offered an extra credit discussion board and that was cool.
I took the summer online course so it was short. It was a lot of work, but he checked in on me multiple times to make sure I was keeping up. I ended up making a good grade. He is awesome, the class was not my favorite. I heard that he is great if you take an in person class with him.
Great online professor. I would say the class is alright, it's a little boring, a lot to read, and the exams are pretty hard. I would give the class a 3 out of 5 and professor Green a 5 out of 5.
Super educational if you care are government or politics. Grades pretty fairly and answer questions to the best of his abilities. If you can TAKE HIS CLASS!!
I am taking his online class. He responds to my emails by making announcements to the entire class. I guess that means I'm asking good questions. The class is a lot of work but it's doable. He is not a super tough grader which is good because there are papers and the tests have essays. He does give a short study guide, but the tests are HARD.
One of the only professors I've ever had who didn't force his political ideas on us. I feel like a lot of professors judge me for my beliefs. He is one of the reasons I am staying in college. Take his class, he will challenge you, but he will not judge you or grade you based on your beliefs. A very kind person.
Professor Green clearly loves teaching and makes the class enjoyable. There are 3 open-note exams and 2-3 papers, but nothing overwhelming. Weekly quizzes are super easy, and you can retry them 2-3 times. As long as you take some notes and pay attention, you'll be totally fine. Great class, highly recommend!
best professor I ever had. his lectures are understanding, fun, and interesting. he doesn't force beliefs are ideologies, he just teaches. I never missed a lecture, wish I can take this class again. I wonder if he ever got his snowman set up.
best professor I ever had. I wish I can take this class again. his teachings were very clear and understanding, easy to learn. He made lectures fun and interesting, 100% would take again if I could. I learned valuable information. I wonder if he got all his snowman's set up.
this was one of my first college classes i've ever taken. Professor Green is amazing and I would take his class again if i could simply because he makes learning enjoyable. I like how at the beginning of class he starts off with "what's some big political news going on in the world right now?" I learned a lot of things I didn't know before.
