Excellent instructor, made math enjoyable and simple. Strongly recommend.
The best math teacher that I have ever had! He's really fun and he never makes the class boring!
He's the bomb ass teacher! He's so funny and he never is boring.
HE ROCKS!
Great teacher! would recommend him to anyone!
If you know and can understand math then he is the man to take. However, if you do not really get math and expect a teacher who will actually teach it, he is not a person I recommend. Very nice teacher though, gives partial credit for work.
He is a fantastic instructor. He give's you a lot of personal attention and will stop to help anyone who is struggling. He makes things very clear and explains things very simply. If you don't understand it one way he tries several other examples until you get it. I highly recommend him for any math class.
Makes math enjoyable. Fun professor. Wants you to ask questions.
Awesome teacher. Very down to earth and makes sure everyone understands before moving on. Grades a lil strict though and gives some credit for showing work. The key to a good grade is to know the end chapter tests. Highly recommended.
HE IS A VERY GOOD INSTRUCTOR THAT ACTUALLY ENJOYS MATH. HE CAN EXPLAIN CONCEPTS A VARIETY OF WAYS...UNTIL YOU GET IT. HE GIVES CREDIT FOR SHOWING YOUR WORK. I HAVE TAKEN HIM FOR MIND OVER MATH, FOUNDATIONS OF MATH AND ELEMENTARY ALGEBRA. I HOPE THAT THEY KEEP MOVING HIM UP & I CAN TAKE HIM THROUGH INTERMEDIATE AND COLLEGE ALGEBRA TOO..HE ROCKS!
in the beginning it seems tough, but his quizzes are straight from the homework. Great at explaining concepts
He is an AWESOME teacher! Stays after class to help with questions. Test questions are right out of the book. Highly recommended! I hope he teaches 96 next semester!
AWesome so helpful! Tests right out of the book. Hope everyone gets a chance to take a real math teacher, this one! Failed this class twice before in his class I got an A. Explains everything so well!
I loved this teacher. He is very helpful and REALLY knows his Math. He can teach you in many different ways until it clicks in your head. He tries to make class fun by joking. Take him - you won't be sorry!!
GREAT MATH TEACHER! This is by far one of the best math teachers I have had. He will go over as many problems as you ask him to and show you many different ways to solve them until you fully understand. Tests are straight from the HW. You can't go wrong in this class! Plus, He's funny.
Great teacher, will work a problem until you understand it. If you ask he will work with you on your problem areas.
Mr.Kenyon is funny and easy. Nice teacher. The entire class he goes over questions on the homework, then over the next homework assignments. Will go through every question you have. Very helpful. The tests are from questions on previous homework. Would take another class with him.
He is super easy, and a funny guy. He really wants you to understand Math, and wont go on until everyone has it. He doesnt care if you don't show up for class, as long as your there for tests. Of course you want participation points. I would take him again in a heartbeat.
grate teacher
Awesome Professor, explains clearly and is very thorough. Patient and will work on a problem until you understand it. Makes class fun.
Pretty easy class if you pay attention great thing about this class is the test questions are identical to the h/w therefor you do the h/w u will do good on the tests :)
Professor Kenyon is an excellent teacher. He'll go through the material with you as needed, answer all your questions, and he responds to emails very quickly (big plus). He makes the material as compelling and clear as possible and he truly does want each student to succeed. The tests are kinda difficult, but if you do the homework, you'll be fine
I thought this class would be hard but professor kenyon made it super easy. All the test questions come directly from your homework so it's not too bad.. the only thing that is difficult are the definition questions. You never know what kind of questions will end up on the test.overall great professor, highly recommend
Prof. Kenyon is an excellent teacher with great understanding of the subject. He's very fair and clear on expectations. HW is easy and can be done in class. Would take his class again.
Kenyon is an easy-going instructor & the class is as advertised. He follows the syllabus closely & communicates changes clearly. You will use the textbook, homework is due the day of the exam & all of the exams come directly from the Homework. The final is cumulative so be sure to study ALL homework & not just the prior exams. Highly recommended.
Great Professor! Loved his class! He teaches very well. Before his class I struggled with word problems and now I can do them no prob! :) He is very helpful and takes the time to make sure his students know the material. highly recommend him!!! :D
Bad professor. Want feedback? Forget it. Want help? Forget it.Expects you to be math expert? Yep. Want a quick grader? Too bad. Do not recommend at all. Hard, lots of work, little help, miss one thing and you're done.
BEST MATH TEACHER EVER! He is so funny and makes class comfortable. I have never been one to answer questions but he makes it easy. Explains things so well and makes class fun. I wish he could teach every class. Definitely want to take his 105 class and recommend him to everyone
P. Kenyon is an awesome teacher. I would highly recommend him. He knows his stuff and does expect you to know "prior" math stuff. He made me enjoy coming to class. I did not dread it one bit.I wish I could take him for every math class that I needed!!!
Mr. Kenyon is an excellent teacher. His lectures were very clear and he is very organized. He answered questions and made sure everyone understood the material. Definitely do your homework because he picks questions straight from there for the test but in my opinion the tests werent too painful as long as you studied/ did your homework.
I signed up for this class the prior semester, with another teacher, and had to drop a few weeks in. I didn't understand anything she was trying to teach us, so when taking this class I was worried. But Prof K. was great! If math is difficult for you, I suggest you take him. He takes his time in going over problems to help you really understand.
After reading the reviews, Kenyon sounded like a good professor to take for a student who struggles in math. However, he pretty much rarely teaches on his own... He called on students for every problem and has them figure it out. This leaves me so confused and I hated going to class. I did not learn much from his class at all.
He really cares about his students. He will go over problems until you understand them. The test Q's are off the hw. He does not offer extra credit or curve grade but I honestly think he's the best teacher for math 96. Hw is collected the day of exam. 4 exams. Cumulative final. Don't freak. It's not that bad.
Great proffesor that gives very thorough lectures and makes it fun and comfortable. Course was easy, homework questions on the exams and exam questions on the final.
A great teacher. Throws in some jokes here and there and is an all around fun professor. I took Math 90 and he taught it well. I do recommend taking his class for Math 90. He interacts with the students which makes his class even better
It's up to you if you want to pass, if you show up, do the homework, and use his practice exams religiously to study, you'll get an "A " very easily, and also understand how to do everything he teaches. Participation does matters like any other class. He's a really nice guy and grades fair, if you fail anything it honestly falls on the student.
He is a good teacher, needs more time on lecture and perhaps allowed you to use notes on tests or at least provide the formulas. Tests were really tough, even the pre-test that he provided was tough. He would tell you what type of problems to expect on the final but he would not go over the test problems that everyone had issues with.
Awesome teacher. Was worried of not understanding the math but he takes his time in explaining instead of just dismissing it. He wants to make sure everyone understands.
Prof. Kenyon is the kind of math teacher that'll make sure you are excited to learn about math. He's hardly ever negative and doesn't chastise you on your mistakes. Do your homework when asked. His notes are straight forward. And on the final, if you do well on a section you didn't do well on another test - he'll boost it. Really nice man.
Good teacher, you'll pass as long as you do your homework and prepare for exams and final.
I liked Professor Kenyons class. He was very nice and helpful when I needed it. Sometimes the homework on math xl would be a lot. You get points for being in class and on time. He does not give any extra credit but at the end of the semester he bumped me up from a C to a B so that was awesome. Participate in class and show youre trying.
First off, I hate math. It is my least favorite subject because I deeply struggle with it. With that said, this class was incredible. I understood everything that was covered, and if I was confused, the prof was always willing to clarify and help with zero judgement. If possible, I would take this prof for every math class. (HW is online - Mathxl)
He seemed great at first but his test were too hard he doesnt really explain stuff properly and the hw was totally different from the test when he said it was based of homework I hated going to class cuz of that it seemed like we had two exams each month
His lectures are amazing and he helps you understand, just do not be afraid to ask questions! The "textbook" is MATH XL which is what we do our homework on, almost every math teacher uses it. BEWARE OF THE EXAMS! Do not expect the expect it to be the EXACT same or else you will get most of them wrong. Still a great class though!
Kenyon is fantastic. He doesnt try to complicate things. The study guides mirror the tests. Hes funny and easygoing. I feel like I was able to learn and was not stressed!
(Fall 2018) His lectures were simple and he summarized our lectures via PDFs, so reading the textbook wasn't necessary. He allowed us to use a note card for some notes & equations for each exam. The homework problems were done online via StatCrunch and he gave several Statistics solo projects and if I needed help, I received it during office hours.
Took his 6week. Classwork & requirements were clear from the start. Most of the classwork was done online thru MyStatLab which was great. He allowed for projects to be redone til you got an A (if you submitted on time). Always posted practice exams before exams which were very similar and was very helpful. Allowed for a 4x6 notecard for each test(:
Professor Kenyon is an extremly intelligent and gifted teacher and will guide you through the incredibly complex world of statistics. However; be prepared to do a great deal of work. During his eight week class I probably did about 15 hours of work a week on his class alone. His tests are not incredibly difficult if you pay attention in class
I did the hybrid class and he truly is a very smart teacher, enthusiastic, approachable . The practice tests/study guides are very similar to the test so it is easy to study. The math is not an easy/slack off kind that you can just put off, have to put in the work and show up otherwise doing the online homework will be very hard. But it is worth it
All homework (and book) are online, he will answer any questions you have if you're unclear on something. There is a group project at the end, and offers optional review days before tests, he also lets us use notecards for tests which helps.
Kenyon was helpful in that he would make sure he clarified all student questions in class to make sure students understood the information. He is very literal and matter-of-fact, which is mostly useful in a math class. I appreciated the study guides being very helpful for the tests and the ability to use a notecard for tests as well. Very sweet guy
Prof. Kenyon is a nice guy, as long as you don't take some of his jokes too seriously. The class is pretty straight forward- 4 exams plus a final, homework assignments for each section, and projects. Even if you are not a math person, you should do fine in this class because he allows you to redo most projects and assignments for a better grade.
Was the worst at clarifying . Also We did self teaching on canvas modules . Doesnt offer extra credit . Very inconsiderate professor
Professor Kenyon is very much a math guy, and speaks logically and always tries to clarify student questions before answering. If you try to keep in touch with him, Im sure hell be fair with you as long as its obvious youre trying your best. He was very kind and helpful to me under an unusual situation outside of class.
Statistics made simple. Used STAT CRUNCH for 21 assignments that would take an average of about 2-4 hours to complete. Projects will also use the application in most cases and you would need to complete 8 of them. Prof. Kenyon allowed the reworking of projects, which was awesome. Reviews were given for each test that mirrored the actual test.
This class started out extremely difficult. However, if you reach out and ask him for help he is beyond willing to make sure you understand the material! Do not be afraid to ask questions in this class, because he does not get upset if you need clarification more than once. All assignments are unlimited tries besides the tests. Overall great class.
Professor Kenyon responds quickly when you contact him. Don't hesitate to reach out to him if you're having trouble he's always willing to help. His module was also helpful and he allows students to retake assignments and projects for better grades. I highly recommend studying the assignments and notes before taking the exams.
Professor Kenyon is the best math Professor I have had! His class is very clearly structured and the material is worded in such a way that anyone at any level can understand and appreciate! Incredibly fun and interesting material covered and he will help you along the way! Most definitely recommend!
Im horrible in math and Kenyon has been great! Highly recommend. He uses statcrunch a lot so it does most of the work for you. Very few projects and youre allowed multiple attempts after hes graded it. All assessments can be retaken over and over. Very open to all kinds of questions. Hes also just a cool guy and engages with the class.
Professor Kenyon is a solid choice! He wants to make sure you understand the material, and he gives you until the end of the semester to redo projects to get full credit. You can tell he actually cares. Plus, he gives 20 attempts on quizzes!
Please do not listen to the good ratings in this class. It is super hard most of the class are struggling with the assignments and the class just began. This has got to be the hardest most irritating class I have taken so far. I do not like how this Professor puts assignments together it is just way too overwhelming for a college that is not a UC.
Horrible experience.
Has a major power trip issue. Not sure if I'm taking the same professor as everyone else but I've learned nothing useful so far in class. Instead, I'm getting docked points for his nitpicking. Maybe he's great for some, but for others this is a terrible teacher. Probably end with an F with the way he grades and teaches. FML
This class should be an easy "A" if you put in the work. Professor Kenyon's quality of teaching is one of the best an easiest to understand. He provides tools such as Statcrunch to help through the course. His grading criteria is one of the best because he allows you to fix the works to get full credit. Very knowledgeable and highly recommended
This class was quite hard for me when we were in weeks 3-4 and some of five in the 6-week course. The work can be a lot and it is quite difficult but this is coming from a person who struggles with math. The instructor is a solid choice and in his zoom meetings and videos he makes he explains quite well so not a bad professor, he also takes lte wrk
Although he had many assignments and projects, he gave us until the end of the semester to make corrections and resubmit to receive full credit. Therefore, you will need to put in the work for your grade. It was definitely a tough class, especially being taken in summer, where it's fast-paced. Prof. K made himself available and had zoom meetings.
WORST PROFESSOR EVER. HE WAS RUDE AND NOT HELPFUL AT ALL!
This class should be a easy "A". He lets you redo homework and projects until you get 100%. He lets you use notes for tests. the only way you can fail this class is if you don't try. He gives step by step examples on the projects. Everything is due at the end of the week. Great class overall .
Professor Kenyon was a really great professor and made his own lessons so no textbook was necessary. He lets you redo assignments as many times as you would like and was open to any student needing help. For each unit there was a few assignments, a project, and an exam. Plus a reading. He was an overall great professor.
Hes awesome!! No lie, he was the only reason I passed this class. He lets you redo ALL assignments for full credit until the end of the semester. Exams contain problems from homework assignments so study those. You basically teach yourself for this class which is hard but overall you can easily pass if you take a little time for it!!
Be ready to study for the test thats where most of the final grade comes from
I was so scared of taking this class but i am glad i did because Professor Kenyon is an excellent teacher, he is funny and he let you re do all the assignments and projects. He uses statcrunch and record videos for every chapter what make is easy to understand all the lecture. He is passionate about statistics and he cares about his students.
Professor Kenyon was an amazing teacher! He is always willing to help and make sure that you get good grades. The homework was easy as long as you read the notes and watched the lectures provided. As for the test they are easy as long as you do your homework. I highly recommend it is easy to stay on track with this class.
Highly recommend taking Prof. Kenyon. At first I was worried for my grade but after reaching out to him, he helped with everything. If you actually put in the time during class and ask questions he will tell you what you need to fix and, give full credit. 1-2 assignments a week with unlimited attempts as well as 1 quiz a week. Very manageable!!
be prepared to study all assigned material. midterms and exams are worth majority of your grade and assignments only count for a small portion. Professor provides good help but everything is online including all lectures so prepare to teach yourself. Would be more helpful is professor taught material more throughly.
He had great ratings so I took him and in the summer for 8 weeks. I only lasted about two or three. Insane amounts of homework and they were very confusing. After submission he did offer me to redo them, but I didn't understand what I did wrong or the terms he was using. Seemed really nice, but seemed like an uphill battle to me.
Organizes modules very well. Contain detailed lessons/videos. Can resubmit assignments. Clear grading rubric. Exams follow module material. Final exam is cumulative and if you score higher than the lowest score on any previous exam, he will replace the grade. Only needed to purchase a StatLab subscription for $15. He wants you to succeed.
As someone who has always struggled in math, professor Kenyon made this course much less intimidating than I feared it would be. His demeanor and easy going nature made the classroom an enjoyable experience. The course work was broken down and easy to comprehend, it made it possible to achieve the grade you desire.
I took this class online anytime and am so glad that I did. I was taking this class to raise my math comprehension and GPA. The Exams and Final were relatively easy and the grading was very fair. You will learn math skills that you can apply to daily life. Great teacher, responds quickly to your questions. Helpful if you plan to take the TEAS. A+
Wonderful professor. I strongly recommend his class. Caring and understanding and you can redo projects until you get a 100%. Makes learning statistics so much easier than other teachers I've had. I don't understand how anyone has anything bad to say about him!
He was very strict with grading and wanted everything to go a certain way. He was also bad at making sure everything was explained well. I had to go to him many times asking for clarification. He was also very unprofessional to me and treated me horribly in an email, he had no sympathy for what I was going though and was very passive aggressive.
Mr. Kenyon is by far the best teacher ive had, he's very helpful, always willing to help if you dont understand something, very easy going, not strict on deadlines only on exams. would definitely recommend to everyone!
Took him for statistics (hybrid) I really liked his lectures, very kind teacher! lets you redo HW assignments and projects as many times as you need to! He has around 4 main exams that are TIMED, study bc worth a lot of your grade, he'll drop your worst one and replace with the your finals score. Offered office hours, great help! ask questions!!
Amazing professor! Class and lectures were never boring, just do your work and you will do good in his class.
Kenyon is super nice and a great guy, but due to the hybrid format of the class his lectures never seemed to do much for me. There is a good amount of homework and if you do not do well on the exams, it will be tough to do well even with the homework. He allows for late work to be turned in which is nice, but he could have lectured better.
Prof. Kenyon is amazing! Class is straight forward, a little fast paced so take lots of notes! He allows for work to be redone as many times as you'd like. There was a TA for my class that offered tutoring in person & zoom. Both are very caring and understanding no matter how many times you ask the same question. Pay attn. to quiz questions!
He states that stats is opinion based and can vary on the situation and it can, but he grades based on HIS opinions only and doesnt grade completely unless its perfect how he likes not by whether the work is done and correct according to statistics. Lectures very little, no point coming to the in person classes. Just talks over the agenda
AMAZING professor. This is exactly how an online class should be ran. The lectures are text based & extremely digestible. There was constant communication with the class and he replies to emails quickly. He made learning stats pretty fun! Assignments had lenient due dates and unlimited retakes. He also will drop your lowest exam.
Professor Kenyon is an amazing professor. I took his statistics class and his teaching style and his belief on education creates an environment that promotes student success. He is encouraging and cares about his students. He is a great dude and if you have to take a math class, at least this guy is going to make it fun for you.
Notes "pages" on Canvas aka lecture material is easy to follow. Everything on the notes is on the exams, so taking detailed notes is very helpful. 1-2 assignments per week with up to 100 attempts. 4 total exams over a semester and 1 final exam. Exams are 1 attempt only. Professor Kenyon is easygoing and considerate of students, just do your work.
Super nice and understanding, and won't move on until everyone is ready to. The environment in class was always very positive! If math isn't your strong suit I would take him! For coursework he does let you take assignments over again which is super nice, also provides good feedback. Exam heavy, worth more than half of your grade. I will miss him!
This class could have been easy but his grading technique is the worst. Gives half credit and barely explains why. I would work so hard on the assignments and would get barely any feedback and submit them over and over for a terrible grade. FIX YOUR GRADING ROUTINE.
To be honest, I didn't like how he graded things he'd just tell you to turn them in again. I really struggled in his class especially not being great at math.
Prof. Kenyon is not a good professor. He does not have proper lectures. When juxtaposed to other teachers, you dont actually learn statistics. He gives unlimited attempts on work. There are lots of projects. Instructions to assignments are ambiguous.
Honestly, I dreaded coming to this class. It is a hybrid class, and you basically teach yourself. All of the lecture videos are online, and we meet once a week. When we do meet once a week, he doesn't go over the topics we've gone over. Rarely helps the students and tells them to go to the LRC instead.
Honestly this class is extremely easy as long as you do the work early. Yes there's a lot of homework (usually three homework and one discussion per week). There are 4 exams that are easy because he gives a practice test that's EXACTLY THE SAME AS THE ACTUAL EXAM (just keep studying the practice exam). His class is so worth it for an easy A.
a really good teacher, lets you submit assignments as many times to get an A, a bit unclear on grading criteria tho. very passionate and kind, i would def take again
Great professor, passionate about the subject, in this case statistics. Always willing to help and has great feedback. Taught stats extremely well and made it very understandable.
Mr Kenyon was probably my favorite teacher last semester. He is a really entertaining teacher and will answer any questions you have with a clear example. The people calling him a horrible teacher probably just had a hard time with the at home lecture readings. All the tests were open note and he really cares about his students.
this guy has the WORST grading you could imagine. got 100s on every test but half points off on every single assignment for not fitting his extremely specific but unclear idea of what he wanted from me. get ready to redo assignments 3+ times to get full credit. otherwise extremely easy and great communicative professor
The most enjoyable part of this class is the awkward silence whenever he would ask us questions, since barely anyone understood the class. Professor Kenyon has an unusual approach to lectures and homework. This professor expects us to do the learning at home and all the quizzes and tests in person. It's better to just take an all-online course.
This class had no textbook book but the modules acted like a textbook. Most assignments were automatically graded, and you have many attempts to get them right. He grades the projects super harshly, but you have unlimited attempts to get them right. Exams were fairly easy; just make sure you study. Overall good professor!
I took Math 155 in person fall 2025. He was a great teacher with clear lectures. We weren't graded on very many things at all, and the work. The in person tests were honestly very easy if you pay attention. He lets you use the quizzes on tests which is very helpful & notes. Be prepared to take notes yourself because it will be all up to you.10/10
Prof. Kenyon was great! He teaches the material very well, & I learned so much. Honestly, do the assignments and really take the time to learn the material because it will be helpful in your future. A couple of quizzes, a couple of tests, but everything is open notes. He is a little bit of a picky grader, but allows to resubmit assignments 10/10!
Favorite professor I have had so far. Allows notes for exams and quizzes. Encourages collaboration. Allows unlimited attempts on quizzes and assignments and gives great feedback on assignments each time, so you are able to fix them to get full credit. Seems to actually enjoy teaching which I appreciate! You have to try to fail.
He gives great lectures and modules he gives videos with step by step instructions, quizzes and exams are opened notes so make sure to read modules and take good notes, everything you'll need will be there, weekly assignments will stay opened for the full semester for full credit, easy to get and A, he is really funny, overall an amazing teacher
