I liked him and thought he was a great teacher as long as you are there everyday, do the homework, and do ok one the tests, then you should be fine. He will help you if you need it but kinda monotone.

I despise trigonometry, but he actually made it interesting. He also opened each class with a handout for complex thinking and entertainment. His class was not easy for me, but he does everything he can to work with his students. Very personable.

Awesome teacher, explains problems in a very clear and easy to understand manner. Well organized, cares about students progress and is easy to talk to. Recommend A+++ One of VVC's finest math teachers!

Very nice teacher, I only took him for all my math, he cares as a teacher for his students and goes over anything even if its back tracking. He's also very patient and laughs at his own mistakes. His reviews are the same with differnt numbers, homework and attendance he uses as credit that accounts for your grade. I liked him a lot

I advise anyone who struggles with math to take Mauch. His review guides are almost exactly like the exam. He is thorough and you would have to be retarded to not pass his class.

I'm terrified of Math, so when I took him this last Spring he was very helpful. I didn't want to overload him with the special ed questions, so I hired a personal tutor to come to my home. During testing I had anxiety, went up to him he told me exactly how to do the problem right in the middle of the test. Very helpful teacher.

If your not interested in math or good at it, I suggest you take Mr. Mauch!! He gives reviews the day before the test and just changes the numbers. If you study it over and over again you will do just fine. He is also very helpful if you have any questions on the material he goes over. Attendance & book are mandatory.

He is a GREAT teacher for those who just really want to pass Math. He is kinda boring and very distracting with his appearance in overalls! He gives quizes before class begins for atendance and if you don't understand something he will go over a problem a million times until you get it. Test are super easy if you study the Review. Do homework.

Excellent teacher, probably the best teacher I have ever had for math. His tests are easy because he actually teaches in a way that the average person can understand. Takes his time and is a great person!

He is very clear and he repeats the lecture if you have any questions. He helps you if you need one on one and he teaches you by showing you an easier way of solving the problem than doing it the long way. He lets you us Calculators.

Best teacher I have ever had! He is super helpful, and easy. He gives you a pratice test to take home to study. If you have any questions he is more then happy to help even if its just something like how do I get my calculator to do this? This teacher is the only teacher I took for math at VVC. Okay so I am absolutely terrible at math and I passed the class with a B. He provides us with a review of the test so study it hard and you will do well on the test. Gives classwork in the beginning in the class so be sure to show up. Homework is optional, but i highly recommend doing it because it helps with your test score. Best math teacher ever

I am so proud of myself. I fear math a lot numbers and I just don't click. Mr. Mauch is a very understanding teacher. He actually cares for his student. I missed two tests due to personal reasons and he completly understood. Mr. Mauch is always going to be in my heart he has a special place there. Mr. Mauch you are highly admired, and very special.

I like Mr. Mauch. He is a great instructor. Things went a bit too fast for me though, wish I had taken Math 12 first. Mr. Mauch sometimes goes through things quickly, but that is his style, otherwise I like the set up of the class. He is always available for questions.

There is no math teacher at VVC easier than Mr. Mauch. If you aren't a math person take him. Homework is extra credit and reviews are just like tests. I've also taken him for 105. He's just as easy.

He is a great teacher. Very open to help students if they are confused. The tests are pretty easy, he just changes the numbers from the Review test. He is a friendly teacher and says goofy old-school sort of jokes. You dont "need" to do homework, but think if it as extra credit. Take his class!

Very structured/organized. Worksheet @ beginning of every class; gives the steps/answers. Review before every test. Test similar to review. HW due on test day. Gives scores next day. Very helpful, answers every question thoroughly. Adorable elder man; funny with his old-school sayings. Will keep a smile on your face.

he is a taller version of th old guy from UP but in overalls. clsswrk is silly riddles or a couple of math problems. if u do the clsswk and hw, he gives you extra credit towards the test. hw is everyother odd problem. the review and test are very similar. overall its easy if u honestly try. took him for 90 & 105. def will take him again if i can :)

An amazing teacher and a nice man! He cares about his students and the subject he teaches. I took him a few times and plan to next semester. Very eager to help his students get the best grade possible and very easy going. Awesome teacher!

I can't believe I got a B in here since I did retake it because prior to him I had received a D..He was so easy to understand and got straight to the point. He did show us one way only, but were allowed to use any method that we knew on how to solve the problems. The hw and classwork really helped my grade. I really can't wait to take him again.

I took Mauch for both Math 50 and Math 90 and I am so happy I did. I had to repeat math 50 twice before taking Mauch's class. He explains everything amazingly and it actually makes sense. Homework isn't mandatory but if you do it you get extra points on your test which can make the difference of a whole letter grade. I definitely recommend him!

Excellent and patient teacher. He tries to make a dry subject less trying by throwing in amusing little comments through his lectures. Really wants everybody to pass and will work with you if you make the effort.

Mauch is the best math teacher I have had. He explains everything very well. Homework gives you extra points on your test. He also drops the lowest test score (not including the final). Reviews are EXACTLY the same as the test (just different #s & order). If you miss a day just show up next class on time and he reviews what was done the last class

Mauch is amazing, I had already taken and failed math 50 with another prof. I hate math, but he broke it down and I passed!! easy homework that counts toward your grade, drops the lowest test score. Just do the work and be in class.

One of the best Teachers I've had! There have been a couple of times this semester when you could actually hear the class "getting it" You'll feel like applauding at times! Strict about lateness and classroom decorum, but not a jerk about it. Very highly recommend!

Awesome Teacher, try not to miss any days or you will have to teach yourself from the book. Tests are easy if you study the study guide. If you miss a test he will let you take it any time before the next test. He makes everything easy even if you don't know what the heck you are doing.

He's the only person who has ever been able to help me understand higher level algebra. I am definitely trying to take him next semester for 105. He made math *gasp* fun for me. I owe him a lot.

I took his 6-week summer course. Such a nice man! Very easy. Normally math is my toughest subject but he made it easy and very pass-able. The book is used for homework only which is optional. He gives great notes and study guides that are almost identical to the tests.

Professor Mauch is the best! If you don`t like or understand Math, take him. He will clear a lot of it up. Wish I could have gotten him for Math 90, but his classes are hard to get into.

If you go to VVC, and is looking for a math professor. GET MAUCH! You will not regret it! The classwork is easy points. After class work we start on the daily lectures where he is very clear and makes math looks sooooo easy!!! The homework is collect on test days. The test questions are off the study guide but different numbers!

Best Math Teacher @ VVC. Great lectures, he makes math seem so easy! Need to be on time, do some classwork recap what we did the day before. Then he begins lecturing which in Math 90 expects u to know several basics & will skip a lil steps in the problem, but no worries if u ask hes glad 2 help. Tests are off the study guide but different numbers!

Study the study guides and you'll get an A every time :)

Best math teacher I have taken at V.V.C

As an instructor, Mauch is a bit of a mixed bag. His class is the primrose path which for students that struggle with Math and don't require anything past College Alg. is a blessing, but people that are going into a more disciplined field that requires higher math may suffer for it. His lectures can be vague, but he is extremely willing to help.

Mr. Mauch really breaks down the material and makes it so you can understand. I liked that he assigned homework and made it worth a large portion of your grade instead of using just exams. He is an excellent teacher for anyone that struggles with math. I would consider him the best professor I have had at VVC.

This class requires absolutely NO ONLINE HOMEWORK! He teaches the material up on the board, gives worksheets for in class and homework. Very good on grading if you show your work. He's very clear with material. Great teacher!

Overall he's a good math professor. He actually makes you understand Math. Cons about him are that he's not clear with instructions. But nonethless, he's good.

I took Professor Mauch for Math 90 and 105. Show up on time, do the homework because he gives you two extra points on your test. Study the review and you'll do fine on the test and class. Overall a great Professor and I enjoyed taking his classes.

Thought he was am awesome professor. He gives homework that isn't due until the day of the tests. If you do it you will get the tests. Also he gives you a study guide and goes over all the questions which also helps a lot when it comes time to take the test. Just show up to class do the homework and study and you will do great on the test/class

Professor Mauch is a great teacher. No question goes without being answered. He always explains the reasoning for his answers and ensures understanding throughout the whole class. Always reviews homework assignments and practice tests. Show up to class, take notes, perform homework and hand in, study practice tests and you will pass his class.

He is a very caring, down to earth teacher. He understands what it means to be a student, and is a very reasonable teacher. His lectures, examples, and assistance with homework and problems in the book are spot on, and all his tests pay off as everything he taught is on. No question goes unanswered. Replies to emails fast for any questions. Will need the textbook 100%. Took over summer, half a chapter for homework a day. Every other odd so wasn't too much. Drops lowest test grade. Adds 2 points to test if you did the homework. Great class.

Prof. Mauch is a fantastic professor. I had him for 3 class's math:42,90, and 105. wouldn't take a different professor. I am legally blind and dyslexic and his lectures are easy to follow and if was confused by something he explains it very well. He is very nice. I've had trouble with math since middle school. His class made math no longer a problem

tbh this class is so easy as long as you come to class. The hw isnt due untill we have tests. Honestly, he doesn't check thoroughly the hw. You could have the wrong answers and he wouldn't notice. You get credit as long as there's an attempt. The test reviews are identical to the test sometimes nothings even changed, maybe a # or 2 here and there.

Prof. Mauch is an outstanding teacher, who truly cares about his students. He set up his class to be an easy take, with not too much homework, tests that mimic the review sheets, and automatic credit for doing classwork. I received an easy A+ by merely showing up for class, doing all my homework, and studying the test review sheet!
