i had him for both mgt313 and phi101. class is fun and there's only 2 2-5 page papers to do for the semester- can't beat that. he's so hot...make him show you the tape from when he was on classic connection.

Hands down the best teacher I have ever had. He doesn't give you answers, he sets you on the path to find them. Lots of energy and a great personality. Grades mostly using papers and the class is discussion based. Take this class, you'll be glad you did!

Wonderful class. The prof really goes out on a limb to try to help his students make better people out of themselves. Many of his points will stay with me for the rest of my life. This class is a MUST HAVE.

WOW! GREAT PROFESSOR! He makes learning Philosophy SOOOO Easy! He is such an open and personable guy. You want to take this professor. No tests (except exam, which is easy), only papers for the most part. And he really does help you with everything!

As a management major, I would not take philosophy with ANY OTHER PROFESSOR!! We talk about real issues that I can apply in real life, and we write papers on OUR thoughts! One of the best gen ed classes I've taken. Take him, you WON'T regret it!!!

We talk about what all people are usually to scared to say. racism , sexism , homophobias. all you have to do is bring your opinion and an open mind to class everyday. don't be afraid to speak up and out.

Interesting Teaching style

He is the coolest teacher :) He is entertaining. He knows his facts. He challenges us to express what we think and with college students thinking isnt our best attribute. He introduces new concepts like Eudaimonia and Culture's mask. It will blow yourmind

Patrick is an AWESOME teacher. He doesn't gives ANY tests, except the final. You just need to write 3 "2page" papers. It's JUST as easy as it sounds. He's really funny too!

His class it the easiest ever. No tests, you don't have to read anything, and an easy grader. I really enjoyed the discussions too. This class is fun, it's not like taking a college course.

Everyone in the world should take this class. Just so that you could learn more about yourself.it is the only class in my 3 years at WCU, that i have actually learned something valuable to my future and i'm a math major.

Man, this is one easy class to fullfill a gen ed! People told me about their philosophy classes, and I swear to god you want this man. He will change the way you look at life and not just provide history about philosophers. Plus it was fun. Almost no work in this course. Just show up, trust me!

Patrick is BRILLIANT, funny, compassionate - I wish he could teach ALL of my classes. No matter your interest in the subject - in fact, no matter the subject, you are bound to enjoy this class as he actually makes it RELEVANT to life! He really is brilliant.

He doesnt have to take attendance b/c everyone ATTENDS the class-- Grades your papers on correct grammar/spelling. It's an easy class because you feel HEARD in his class and you WANT to do the assignments. TAKE THIS CLASS! Everyone in the WORLD should take his class!

He laughs about everything, and he can be serious while still keeping a good sense of humor. Every time you go to class, you will feel even more enlightened. All in all, one of my favorite teachers of all time.

Out of every teacher, pastor, professor, motivational speaker, and what-have-you I have ever had, Pat has got to be in the top 3 EVER. He is a really great guy, a good conversationalist, and a brilliant man. You cannot afford to NOT take at least one of his classes.

His Intro. to Religion class was awesome! One class consisted entirely of dream reading, which I was always skeptical of, but his interpretations made a lot of sense! He teaches in a way that's relevant to any student's life. I highly recommend him.

Incredibly smart guy, no test just two or three papers on whatever you want, never has a deadline for papers so there isn't any pressure, i loved the class, you will definately learn a lot about life, he's a genuine family man, and one of the most laid back people i know, if you don't take him you are making a huge mistake

This guy is my favorite teacher I have had here at West Chester. I was so nervous for a philosophy class. I thought it was going to be so hard. It ended up being my favorite class to go to! The discussions are interesting and fun. There were no tests, but 3 papers. The papers were easy as long as you can back your opinion up. Pay attention!

I didn't learn to much about the history of philosophy, but he does relate to readings in class. I think I took something meaningful out of everyone one of his classes, and learned some unbelievable life lessons in his class.

This guy is freakin amazing. One of the nicest men that has taught me in college, and will do his best to make his class relvant and useful, even though some of the course material is diffucult to understand.

This is one of the only classes I like going to. The class isn't entirely and strictly based on boring history of philosophy. Instead this class is mostly based on class discussion on real ideas, problems and beliefs college students can relate to today. Very influential. Great class & great professor. Absolutely recommend it. You'll learn so much.

I took his Critical Thinking class to fill my PHI requirement. He doesn't take attendence, but I never missed class because the discussions were amazing! You have to take his class, it's essential to winning any argument! plus, it's SOOOOOO EASYYYYY! Impossible not to get an A.

I didn't have Professor McCauley at West Chester, I had him as my Ethics professor at Neumann & he is absoluetely incredible. All professors say that their doors are always open but never truly mean it. Professor McCauley is there for all of his students without question. If you have a chance to have a class with Professor McCauley TAKE IT!

He changed my life in so many ways, and taught me more than I ever thought possible. I will really miss him next year. West Chester is losing a great professor.. He's going to Chestnut Hill, so if you go there and you have the chance to take him, do it!! =)

Yes the class is easy, but more importantly, and much like many have already stated, you will walk away from it, questioning everything, most importantly your own moral compass. He is extremely intelligent, thoughtful, and understanding. The posterchold for humanity. Everyone should have to take a class with him as a requirement.
