Patrick is great he makes his class fun and helps you relax and is funny. He tells you what you need to know and always helps.

The best math teacher I have ever had, But! His midterms are way too hard and dont compare to the level of assigned homework.

patrick was one of my favourite teachers, he is very funny and helpful. If you work hard and get help you'll do fine, if you don't well it's your problem

my favorite math teacher at mal. explains concepts very well. keeps the class awake with his humor. tests can be a little more difficult than other profs but they aren't overly challenging if you've done the work. i highly recommend patrick.

Patrick is a great teacher, he explains everything and is very funny and helpful. If ur a slacker u deserve a bad mark. His tests aren't easy but hes still a great teacher. You're lucky to get into his class.

3 years after taking Patrick's class he is still one of my top three profs. Sure the class is difficult, but that is only because the material is difficult. He's funny, and very clear about the material. He makes me want to take more math!

good teacher. reasonably clear in class and knows what he is talking about. quizes help for test preperation and prove that your keeping up with the material. midterms can kick you in the ass if you dont keep up though so make sure you study.

Patrick is a great teacher! His teaching methods are wonderful and reminds me of a former favorite. I do have to note that his humour is unusual, but if you enjoy hearing about chickens going through the f(x) function, and people eating meals with raw meat that was added in after the cooking process, you will have as much fun as I am!

Math geeks will love this guy-he plays favourites.Beware those that have taken his class before cuz he will point out to the entire class that they've failed his class before.Despite breaches of personal privacy and bias, he knows his stuff.Loves his reputation for being hard.If only he would lose his god-complex & super ego, he'd be a favourite.

One of my favorite professors. Homeworks are generally very hard so you learn how to do everything. Tests are easier. Very helpful when you need to ask questions, but be prepared to have questions asked back at you. He won't give you the answer instead he makes you think and guides you to how to get the answer. one of the Best.

Knows the material very well, and expects his students to learn and know it well too. Teaches in a very linear manner, marks hard, but fair, and is always willing to give suggestions and help with questions, though in a way that isn't giving away the answer.

patrick is a great teacher, he wants his students to do well. he takes the time to sit down and explain something to you until you understand it. if you put in the effort and do your homework, you will see good results. tests were fair and he awards partial marks even if you get the question wrong. a great teacher!

Patrick is a prof that takes time out of his day to walk around the common area of the math bldng to check up on how his students are doing. Its obvious that he really cares about ensuring that his stdnts learn the concepts and that he enjoys his job. Stimulating, challenging, fun teaching style maximizes learning. Will leave class smiling!

Awesome teacher with a great personality. Somehow makes math fun, even for us non math students. Straight forward quizzes and tests, if you do the work you will know exactly what to expect. I definatley recommend taking his class if you get the chance.

Patrick is the best math teacher I've encountered. Not only does he truly care about his students, but he is extremely competent in his field, and relates to his students well. He is very clear in lessons as to what will be on exams, and has a good system that allows for poor Midterms/quizzes to be removed. Hilarious too. I highly recommend him!

Patrick was a good teacher, i felt bad because i wasn't able to do a lot of things even after he explained them clearly... felt like i was letting him down when i did bad on tests. oh well.. math is not my thing, nice guy though

Patrick is the best math teacher i had ever met. He explains the notes really clear and well organized. He really cares about the students and very patient. The quizzes and tests are pretty straight forward if u study the notes and do the exercises. Highly recommended to take class with him!!!

I absolutely hate math but the course is required for the education program so I had to take it, and I'm very glad I did. It was easily the most fun class I have ever had, and Patrick is a complete riot and nearly everything he says is hilarious. He also explains things very carefully, and even if you're not good at math, you'll get a decent mark.

First of all. He's hilarious! Ive never enjoyed math before, but his sense of humour made this class bearable. He gave weekly quizes for us that were fairly easy. He speaks clearly (for having a Chinese accent), but can get excited and speed up. Dont be afraid to ask questions he will slow down and answer them. Super fun. Cares about students

HIs math 123 is 100% based on lectures, DO NOT SKIP THE LECTURES, YOU WILL NOT PASS. He is very funny and very entertaining and very chill, loves to joke around with students during class. He's good at explaining things and loves his job and material. Very hard to take notes, sometimes sporadic. Plenty of homework, tests are very hard.

Patrick is amazing! He's very thorough with the formulas! He is very understanding when people are confused or stuck on certain chapters or questions and will take the extra time to help you out.

Patrick is one of the most caring instructors I have ever had. He looked out for me from day one, and makes the same effort with the majority of his students. He is hilarious, and makes class really enjoyable, regardless if you enjoy math or not. His tests are difficult, so make sure you do his assigned homework and show up to class!

Patrick has been my #1 favourite prof since the first week of my first class with him. He is incredibly caring, and genuinely wants to see his students succeed. He can be found roaming the math building, checking up on all of his students, always available to help in any way possible. He also has a very effective teaching style.

All time favourite prof and one of the nicest people you will ever meet. He makes a real effort to help his students succeed and without trying is hilarious. His lectures make math interesting and engaging. Great teacher A+++++++

Came into calculus very nervous after not having a solid math background but Patrick did a great job making it accessible. He strongly reinforces understanding the material and does a great job of explaining the content. He's engaging and makes funny jokes the entire time and I always feel like he genuinely cares about each student. Tests are fair.

Patrick is an EXCELLENT professor. He's hilarious, explains the material very well, is always willing to help outside of class, and is extremely nice. You will not be disappointed with his class! I would recommend him without hesitation to anyone.

Patrick has done the impossible by making math lectures hilarious and engaging. He respects the students that show up and make an effort. Always very friendly and welcoming to questions at office hours. Homework and pop quizzes are a part of the criteria so attendance is a must, and warning he is a tough grader to say the least.

Great teacher and hilarious. If you are great in math you will fly through but if you dont do well you will have to work for it and might have to get a tutor. Entertaining guy, I even considered talking another course even though I dont do well in math!

Patrick is caring an a hilarious prof. He makes sure everyone understands the concept before moving on and is sure we know everything for our tests and quizzes.

I really enjoyed Patrick's class. there are weekly quizzes, three midterms and a final, but it's not as bad as it sounds. If you come to class and do the homework you will do great! Don't be afraid to ask questions. Patrick is easily the best math prof out there, if you have the chance, go with him!

Patrick is just awesome!! Hes a fun and entertaining teacher. Thoroughly explains topics in class and does extra examples when needed. Hes always available to help during his office hours. Also stops by the math learning center frequently and answered many of my questions.

Patrick is both informative and engaging, so he always has your attention. When new material is introduced he makes it memorable with terminology/mnemonics, many examples which show not just how to do it but why + what it means, and funny stories. Despite my C grade, I still think hes a great teacher- proven by retaking 121 w/ a diff professor.

I took first year calculus with Patrick 17 years ago. After close to a decade in post secondary since then, few profs stand out as much as Patrick Ng to me. I'm not good with names. I met my wife there, and to this day we both still make jokes about solving problems with graphing calculators. He just cared, and made hard things funny.

I never enjoyed math classes before Professor Ng. He honestly made it fun though. And of all the classes I took that year, I felt like he did the best with the online components, marking the fastest and giving clear expectations as to what he wanted from us. There's a quiz every Thursday, just 4ish questions, then 3 midterms which are like 20qs.

Patrick is the best professor I've ever had! I've only got to experience his classes for my 2 online semesters (2020 - 2021), and he's been better than instructors I've had in-person! Very thorough, always open to questions, has very clear and helpful explainations, as well as being hilarious and making the classes fun! Take his class if you can!��
