One thing I enjoyed is that everything was kept relevent and intresting to learn.

When I first started this class I thought it would be very boring and I actually thought the professor was scary, but after two weeks the class started be interesting. I learned more in this class than when I was in high school. Professor Pitts did a good job in teaching this class.

I think this teacher is very clear, when he iexplaning a subject but sometimes I think is kind of desperate for no apparent reson, It'll be great if he take the class a little bit easier so more students will show more interest in taking another one with him.

Pitts was my very first college professor. I felt quite overwhelmed in his class to begin with though it got easier as we went along. I did not like that I got no teacher feedback from him. Our papers were always edited during peer review before the final draft was due.

Professor pitts is a very good teacher i enjoy his class i have taken his class twice in WRT 100 and 101 but now he has been granted WRT 102 so i will be taken that too. he keeps you interested in his topics and he always deticates at least one class to given you a break down on how he expects his paper to be done so it makes it really easy.

I had Professor Pitts for writing 70 and I liked the way he taught the class and thats why I chose to get his class of WRT 100. I use to dislike writing but he showed me that writing could be fun. Spanish being my first language I thought I would never be able to write more than three chapters and now I'm writing up to 9 chapters.

Professor was really good. As far as teachers go, he's been one of my favorites. Writing has been one of my weaknesses, but he's made it alot easier and a bit more manageable than other professors. I would reccommend him to others anyday. I hope that others enjoyed his class as much as I have.

The class has become tedious, it is the same routine every week. After the numerous amount of assignments we've written, it has become difficult to write any essays, regardless of what class it is for. It has become a boring course.

Great teacher! Pretty straight foward on grading. Most assignments are well thought out and easy to understand what is wanted for a good grade.

More research and response based rather than creative writing, accepts late work with a penalty. Required to use Google docs.

I like the way he splits up the papers into elements. I love the way he does everything by computer no hand cramps. He uses Google drive which every teacher should do for writing assignments.

I have taken this professor for Writting 100, 101, and 102. He is really easy going and fun teacher. He is willing to help and his paper promts tell you exactly what he is looking for in a paper. I would stroungly recommend Mr. Pitts if you want to fun way to learn.

In this class you will learn alot i took him in the writing on 101 and you can see the difference on your writing. And the learning material from this class and the writing 101 is different but you learn alot with both class and he gives you comments on the writing paper that helps you in the next paper.

He is fair with all his students and gives everyone the same opportunities to all students. I love the fact that his style of teaching is different but not hard to get used to. the only reason not to pass his class is by not doing your homework and assignment just like me. I also love that he is always allowing students to turn in late work

All in all, a great professor. Due dates are a little short compared to how much homework is given. He gives clear instructions and replies to emails straight away. Very helpful, would take again.

The papers assigned have insightful prompts that really make you think. You can't fake it in this class, you either do the work or you don't. Not too many papers so that's good.

He makes the class interesting and doesn't do long lectures that drag on. The paper topics are interesting and spark interests.

Took an express class through him. It was hard, but he helped us get through. He is a fun instructor sometimes I became confused because of all the writing criteria in the prompt. I felt had to stick to a script. That being said the topics where fun and well thought of.

Mr. Pitts, was at first very hard to understand, but after a class or two he started to clarify what he is asking of you for your papers. He was there to answer your questions you just to ask them. He can be funny at times to get what he is trying to explain to you. I would take him again if need be.

I appreciated the thoughtful criteria provided for each of our essays. This class really pushed me to try to exceed. I took the same class twice before and left without finishing but this one kept my interest because I felt I was being challenged. I hope to be in a WRT 102 class with you in the future if it is offered.

It's a very good class to take and you'll definitely learn a lot about how to write essays, but you'll usually write two to three essays a week.

Professor Patrick Pitts is a great and well understanding instructor. I wouldn't consider the work given within the class easy but Pima writing 100 is just a start. Professor Pitts take's the time every week to help his students out and stays after school tutoring to help his students out.

The instruction and lectures are easy to understand and are helpful in the process of writing. The work is very consistent but I have seen improvement in my writing due the intense practice. Overall, it is a excellent class just be prepared for the work.

He has long fun lectures he will elaborate if needed and can really make things fun to listen to. The work isn't to hard theirs homework if you don't finish in class, the dates are weird, I feel they should be changed around to make the work easier. He offers tutoring and help whenever you need it and will try his best to help you succeed.

It's a pretty easy class but there is a lot of work involved. If you do not do the work then there is no way that you will pass this class.

MR. Pitts is an overall a model teacher. He stays after school a lot to help his students understand what the assignment is and he is willing to help them pick up their grade. He also lets us turn in late work which is something that most teachers don't do. We do a lot of writing that helps us analyze many different subject areas.

Mr. Pitts is a fine instructor. Full disclosure; I am not a full time student but have recently gone back to school later in life. That said, I found it difficult to "get in the grove" of learning and felt I got behind. None-the-less, this class we educational and very useful.

Took a 5 week writing 102 course with him with summer. I respected how he graded and enjoyed all of the selections he picked for us to read. Overall, I really liked him.

Instructor Pitts, is a fanatic professor. Very stern grader but he tells you his exceptions right up front. He has a clear direction on how he wants it done and will explain to you exactly what that is. He is also very relaxed about his due dates, if you're a day or two off he won't mark you down much. We were given a lecture everyday. Through the notes he was able to think of current situations to give us a better understanding on the subject. He made all the "dad" jokes! All in all it was the first English/writing class I didn't fall asleep through and that is saying a lot because I HATE WRITING!

Class is just notes mainly or peer edit. There are 4 main papers and then a few homework assignments but they are just a page long. The class is rather easy, professor is relaxed, but he is a tough grader.

The work he requires can be difficult, but he works with you throughout each step and is a fair grader. He assigns four essays total, which wasn't that much. There is only one test at the end of the semester and he will give you a study guide for it. He lectures most classes, but it is a relaxed environment.

WRT 102 was a great course. We didn't have any quizzes or tests but 4 essays. Overall the work load was not stressful, their was time to do it all. Great teacher, funny at times, I recommend taking this course.

I took Professor Pitts 5 week course and it was very beneficial moving forward with my college level writing skills.

Pitts is a very funny instructor. He used very helpful connections to things like technology and current issues with his lectures that made his class easier to pay attention to.

I took his 5-week course and it is definitely worth it. There are 3 papers, 3 journal assignments, and 3 reading responses. Make sure you put in a lot of detail into all of your work and LENGTH MATTERS! He is a good teacher and makes the 4 hour class bearable. He is a tough grader but if you put a lot of detail and outside sources, you'll be good!

I took Pitts 5 week WRT 102 class and it was great. He helps you with whatever you need. He is very funny as well as professional. It was a 4 hour class and the time flew by. Attendance is mandatory so show up, keep up with the homework and you'll get a good grade. Textbook used for 102 not 101. Would take again.

He's a good teacher. By taking his 5 week course, you will learn a lot about him and a lot about writing. Would recommend again.

Look so I took a five week course with this guy. Very good choice to to the express version and his class is very well planned out. With the express you have 3 essays, 3 journal assignments, 3 readings responses. He is a tough grader and wants you to go into depth about everything. Grading criteria isn't very clear and he wants you to do more.

Amazing professor. Makes the class fun with the jokes he has. He is a tough grader but really gives good feedback! His 5 week class is stressful but is very doable! Would take this class again.

Hardest subject for me to take so far. This instructor helped me better understand what writing is about. The instructor made the criteria clear and understandable. It was a five week course compacted with lots of writing and research but well worth it. Definitely would recommend others to take him. Show up to class, do work, and turn it in

He is very specific on what he expects, so pay attention, and you will do fine. Make sure if you take the 5 week course is a lot of work in a very short time.

Mr. Pitts was a pretty nice guy. He's from Monterey Bay, CA so I guess that's close enough to where I'm from to consider him cool. The class overall was challenging but the study group I was in made the time fly by quick. I wasn't really interested in literature prior to the class but Mr. Pitts influenced me to expand my mind and pick up a book.

Professor Pitts is amazing. I took his 8-week online classes for WRT101 and WRT102 in my freshman year and was very satisfied with receiving both a B and an A in the classes. His class isn't too overwhelming, even for an expedited course. He always gives you 100% for the rough draft and gives you the perfect feedback to receive an A on final draft.

He's a good teacher, laid back but you have to be doing your work or finished with it. Hes not too bad when work is turned in late, and never has a problem answering questions.

Pitts is a fun, but stern teacher. Absolutely need to pay attention to do well in class. He gives plenty of opportunity for his students to succeed. Must take notes in class and actually be present.

The teacher answers all questions, he explains everything very well. He is reasonable with his grading and the way the class is taught is very effective. Provides great notes that explain the criteria for the class and assignments very well.

Professor Pitts uses adaptable literature curriculum to teach his students how to properly analyze a piece of literature. We went into detail about how to research the author, and find out the meaning of the story. I find this to be helpful, as I will use these skills throughout the rest of my academic-based life. Take this course!

I would definitely recommend this professor, especially for WRT 102. He does NOT allow people to take pictures/voice recordings of lecture material, so you actually have to take notes. This has never been a problem for me, because he is usually very good about providing people with enough time to write the notes. I would definitely recommend.

took the 5 week class. very fast paced. attendance is a must. Lots of homework. take notes. there is a rubric which he graded but no personal feedback. very funny guy. too much in very little time. not for me.

This course (Writing 102 summer 2018) was an enjoyable course. I enjoyed going to class every Saturday. The syllabus was a bit confusing in the beginning. watch Black Mirror (Its on Netflix) Great convos with that! He loves music. Hes a great Professor I recommend!

Hard, but fair grader.

Took Spring and Summer 2019, you get to write a lot of creative writing, and research different topics to write about. Awesome writings and readings. Recommends great writers. Great teacher, easy to access outside of class. Give yourself enough time to do the homework.

Professor Pitts' WRT102 class is challenging but rewarding. Attendance is mandatory, and detailed note-taking is a must. However, he provides ample opportunities to succeed. I found UnstuckStudy AI helpful for exam prep alongside the free textbook.

Professor Pitts was great! Everything he assigned was easy to understand and complete. He added readings that basically explained how to do everything. In his 16-week course, each module had 2 discussions + 1 assignment. We used other editing sites a lot, like google forms, google docs, and Canva. This course was really great and taught me a lot!
