He's got a great sense of humor and is very informative. Even though he's entertaining, his tests are pretty hard. You'd better listen and I'd recommend reading the book on your own for more in-depth info that will be covered on the test. Very cool. :-)

AMAZING!!!!!!!!! Beg for the Golden Rectangle/Rule. Really, really, really interesting. Knows his stuff and much more. Thought provoking.

Very interesting lectures. You do have to pay attention and actually read your textbook (he doesn't hand out A's unless you actually try), but he gives tons of extra credit assignments and lots of chances. Occasionally he shows the class a magic trick. I took Art App just to fill in my full time units but am taking 2 D Design too.

Basically, you're a vegetable if you fail this class. Tests questions are taken directly from the book or lecture, and its all multiple choice or matching! He keeps you constantly entertained with videos, pictures, jokes, and magic tricks. You will definitely leave his class with a new APPRECIATION of ART.

I appreciate art now thanks to Mr. Snowden. All froms including magic. He is a brilliant man and decided teaching this stuff is what he'll do. I respect him.

I took Mr. Snowden for art appreciation. I liked his teaching style, and his personalty so much that I also took his 2-d design class. I would take more art classes from him if he taught them. Your grade will depend on what work you put in it. Great teacher and artist.

Mr. Snowden really really knows his stuff, he made art very interesting because he knew so many interesting facts and history. He gives you so many chances for extra credit that you have to be really lazy to get anything other than an A

Very talented instructor. He does an excellent job of condensing 25,000 years of art into 18 night classes.

Snowden is pretty boring to listen to, but his class is super SUPER easy. He needs to get over the cell phone thing...seriously. The class was ok though, not one of the best I have taken, but not one of the worst either.

There are 4 tests and a 5 page paper (Not MLA). Gives extra credit and an art project due at the end of the semester. Very interesting class. Higly recommend his class.

I actually enjoyed the class! Very funny and has lots of cool tricks. Has a lot of knowledge regarding art and other categories as well. Just be sure not to mess with the phone during class. Highly recommend him!

This guy is one of the coolest teachers ever. I did think it was kind of weird that he listed everybody by name the opening day but his magic and art knowledge is unbelievable.

awesome teacher. awesome magic. awesome knowledge. took it with my boyfriend. i passed and he failed. the difference was that he fell asleep every class and would text during his lecture. i would recommend turning off your phone and just listen. his study giudes helps with the test.

Professor Snowden is a very down to earth art instructor. I went into his class just to fulfill tranferrable credits, I came out of his class an inspired artist! Thanks to him, I am picking up drawing with oil pastels as a hobby. Like he says, "There's an artist in all of us." Thanks Professor Snowden for being a great instructor!

Mr. Snowden did a excellent job helping us understand how Art is everywhere in our work. I felt motivated during the class to find out more about certain types of art that I never would have thought of before taking his class. HE showed incredible insight and passion in his lectures which made our class feel a part of things

Let's just say you WANT to be in his class. This is by no means HARD WORK when you enjoy it and how he teaches it. The structure of the curriculum is very logical and helps you understand. He truly makes you appreciate art! I'll never forget this class! Though I was unmotivated to do my reading, the reading isn't bad at all, if you make time!

He memorized the roll sheet for my 150 person class and called out roll by memory. AND he does magic. Come on now.

This class REALLY EASY!! there are 4 tests total but one of them is take home. one (5 pages)really easy on grading this easy don't worry. Last day of school you have to do a project which could be about ANY thing and he will give you 100% if you turn the project on time even if your project is the worest. I recommend him to every one good luck

He lectures, you listen....all semester. He never askes questions and there is almost no interation. If you can handle that, the class is easy.

This gentleman has to be one of the most interesting well educated people I have ever come across in life. His knowledge about everything is seemingly endless. I never looked twice at art, now I have come to love it. I liked his lectures bc you learn so much about world history, although to some I could see how it could be boring. easy class.

He is OLD FASHIONED! Do not talk, have your phone on, or come in late! A little gruff but passionate about topic & amazing insight to Art. I have been to Europe several times & have seen lots of art in person, interesting to get more history. DO THE FINAL project if you do it, you get all the points. Don't need current edition text book!

If he's an option for your schedule, take him. He assigns A TON of reading but i passed with study guides and lecture notes. Sometimes he doesn't have enough time to cover certain things and you need to read. The study guides are the tests. He also assigns a mid term paper (gives you 2 months to do it ^.^)and a final art project.

Lectures were long & boring. Pay attention to lectures & notes u will get an A on the tests but I had an advantage since I already knew someone who took his class before me & I got to know beforehand of the test questions. One 5-page essay (not hard at all just bunch of facts & history), about 5 tests I believe, final art project, No Txtbook used

Prof. Snowden is awesome! He is very witty and really knows his stuff! Its a college course, so if you cant be respectful and put your phone down for 50 mins you dont belong there. No one is going to spoon feed you through, He takes the no phone thing very seriously. If you cant at least pull a B in this class, you should rethink your priorities.

Don't need a textbook . He doesn't check if you read just do his study guide and memorize it all, that is THE test. Attendance doesn't matter he does take it but doesn't matter . Boring class , boring subject . 5 test . 1 essay paper 5 pages and 1 art project whatever you want .

professor snowden is a great professor. he is very clear and his lectures are interesting. his tests are VERY easy, with minimal studying required to pass. he is also super funny. but DO NOT have your phones out in his class room, ever!

An easy class if you attend and pay attention. If you go to every class then a textbook is not a must. NO CELLPHONE OR ELECTRONIC USE IN CLASS. He is very strict about that and people try his patience.

Easy A. Don't get the book, you don't need it. Show up to class ON TIME. He will call you out for being late. Take notes. The study guide is practically the test. No extra credit. He lets you retake any exam you missed. Final is easy. As long as you do it you'll get credit.

Mr. Snowden's class was lecture heavy, but he is insanely funny and makes it enjoyable. There are 4 multiple choice tests, and one short essay all of which are pretty easy. Pay close attention in class, because the tests are largely based off the lectures.

All teachers have rules and specific guidelines. So it should not be a problem to have a cell phone in his classroom. I am becoming a teacher, and I am teaching voulenterly. Proffsor does a great job when you need encouragement or help. He as he says will do his job to make you pass. He is an inspirational teacher at city. I love art now.

you can tell he's really passionate about art and what he's teaching about. he also tries to make class as entertaining as possible. he might come off as scary but he's actually fun. he hates cell phones and will drop you if he sees it out. tests are based off lectures. he gives you a study guide. he will tell you what will be on the test as well

Very straightforward about what he expects from you as a student, and about what will be on his tests. If you go to class and take notes, you don't really need the book. Four tests, one (easy) writing assignment, and your final where you literally just make art. And for god sake, just turn your phone off or you'll never hear the end of it. 9/10

Honestly it's only my first week. He's pretty awesome! Love & respect the fact that he doesn't allow cellphones in class. Shows he cares by memorizing your name. As a student that WOWED me. He's very caring, passionate & just a real cool person. He gives off positive vibes & energy, DON'T BE LATE. Dont miss class, he'll call you out ;)

He's very passionate about Art and you can tell. Tries to very informative in short amount of time. Had night class once a week. Work is fairly easy. Had textbook but hardly used it. Take good notes in class. A lot of moments where you wonder about your existence, made me think about my life a lot and the world works. good class for non art majors.

syllabus is clear about what to expect. Gives study guides. Keep them! When you get each one write the info. as he talks. Turn off your phone and put it away before going into class, so you don't have to worry about phone going off or won't be attempted to use phone. Gave advice about using index cards w study guides. Do the essay & Final project!

Loved his lectures and you can easily get an A; STUDY/TAKE NOTES/FLASH CARDS. Requires effort/studying a few days ahead for the tests but an A on his tests are easily obtainable. Very clear on what he expects. Do the Written Paper and the Art Project! No cell phone policy, so turn off your phones 100% and put them in your backpack. Never be late!

Hes an amazing professor. Hilarious , easygoing, and knows a lot about art! Would take him again any day!

Recommend his class. His passion with the material really strikes you with interest. Half of his lectures are just his comments/facts/etc about the stuff and the other half are things to really take notes on. Best thing: he lets you know before and during the lecture with what you need to take note of for any upcoming tests. He's very generous!

Easy A as long as you take notes & study them, it won't be a lot. Interesting lectures, 2 easy papers & make art as the final. Tests are mult. choice/fill in. Does 1 take home test a semester. Very clear about grading/expectations. Uncomplicated. He has a good attitude & sense of humor. Go on time, no phone, & you won't have any issues. Great class

Snowden is a great professor. He is super passionate about everything art! If you are addicted to your phone and cant put it away for an hour while he lectures dont take his class. He is very vocal about having the full attention of the class. There are about 4 tests and one essay I believe. The tests are all based on the lecture. Show up. :)

Study the study guide and show up to class and you'll be fine. It shouldn't be too much of a hassle since he happens to be a captivating lecturer.

Mr. Snowden is an amazing instructor. He tries as much as he can to help you pass the class. Hands out study guides for every test. During lectures he let's you know what specific material will be on the tests. Do your reading it will help you. Do not use your cellphone or leave early it really annoys him and everyone else who is trying to learn.

only 4 tests. no quizzes no final. one of the tests was take home test. his tests are easy. he says whats going to be on the test. he reviews before the tests and hints on stuff that are going to be on the tests. final was to draw something or bring an art piece. one paper was due mid semester. you pick an artist and talk about him/her. super easy!

Love the online text because it reads it aloud. Just show up to class because he will give helpful hand outs and study guides which are VERY helpful for the test. Lectures can get kind of boring but as long as you do your reading at home you'll be fine. One easily graded paper on an artist of your choice & 4 tests

Easy class. Basically three exams and all you have to do is take notes. Just one paper at the end really easy.

Only had 5 assignments the whole semester, 4 were exams and one was a 3-4 page writing paper about any artist. Missed a test once and emailed him if I can make it up, but never got a response. Make sure to not procrastinate, but he did open up missing assignments at the end for your final chance to take it. And a lot of self teaching basically.

Great professor. Easy class, you take a few tests and write a paper. Highly recommend this professor if you need to take an ART class for your GE! Thanks for everything Professor Snowden!

I took his art history class during covid so it was all online, easiest class Ive ever taken. Only assignments were 4 tests, which were not that bad and only had material from his slides. I wish all my classes were like this one!

I took this class in august- December 2020. By beyond the best art professor I took. Literally four assignments and one paper. Just really focus on the information provided for the test their images that will be on the test. No lectures

Easiest class I've taken. Just some quizzes, 4 exams, and an essay that took me a few hours to write and I thoroughly enjoyed the artist I chose. Easy grader but gave me good feedback. No need to look at other art professors, just take this one.

Professor Snowden is a great art professor. He really values the art he teaches about, it's clear in the way he talks about them. I took his art appreciation class in person once a week. No homework, no textbook, the exams were all based on what he goes over in lecture. Just take his class you won't regret it.

Great professor. You can tell he's very passionate about art and cares for his students. No assignments, just four tests and one essay which weren't too difficult. However, he doesn't provide feedback for why he takes off points on the essay. But it wasn't that much of an issue since I got an A.

Super easy especially if taken online. Final grade consists solely of 4 tests and an essay. Prof isn't very clear - I asked about a test (which wasn't in the module) that I received a 0 on, he brushed it off and said it wouldn't affect my grade but I was brought down 4% at the end of the semester. Still got an A. It's an easy class for requirement.

Prof. Snowden was an amazing Art teacher. You pretty much learn about the history of arts and many variations of it. The only grading he does is 4 tests and 1 writing paper (pretty easy paper). In class, you mostly just have to listen to the lectures and take notes. He also has the lectures in Canvas just in case you missed a day.

He posts all the information you need in the modules. You don't really need to take notes. There are only four 50 question multiple choice exams and a short paper, which determines your grade. Tests are very easy if you know where to look. No reason to fail this course as it's simple and straightforward.

He was very easy going didn't have much work for the class. Projects were all online and everything was online. But attendance was important because he did change dates quiet a bit

Great professor, can tell he knows what he's talking about and has a real passion for what he does. 4 tests throughout the semester and 1 essay. Requires attendance but his lectures are interesting, with the information you gain and him cracking jokes. Essay was a conversational piece, not hard at all. Has all his materials posted on the modules.

Professor Snowden's ART2 class is a breeze - just exams, a short paper, and engaging lectures. Using unstuck study for practice quizzes alongside the class materials made studying a breeze. A great course for an art requirement.

I would definitely recommend taking him if you are not looking for too much homework. There are a total of four tests and one writing assignment, which is pretty easy.

I highly recommend taking this professor. The online course is easy, with minimal work and little interaction with classmates. Only downside is the amount of reading. but there are no textbooks required since he posts everything in the modules and the reading are easy. He's very caring towards his students and sends reminders about tests.

Genuinely easiest professor ever! No textbook just click through modules and tests every now and then. He had attendance quizzes but like just like one question and the question is are you here this week? If every class was like his I would love my life!

Yes, get ready to read, however, I was so enthralled by this course. The information, the art, and the wonderful wit of the Professor made this course just such a pleasure to take. Highly recommend taking this course.

Pretty chill class. 3 exams, 1 final exam and one essay. Very easy A. No textbook, he puts everything in the modules. Can be very time consuming and overwhelming trying to read everything sometimes because it feels like it never ends. But, he puts what you need to know only nothing more or less. Take this class.
