Easy course but Prof. very anal. Wants everything worded the way he would so he takes off points on exams which are mostly written answer and not many word problems.

WALLACH, AN AWESOME PROFESSOR... I WAS ABSENT 10 TIMES AND HE STILL PASSED ME AND TOOK NO! POINTS OFF...HE EXPLAINS EVERYTHING IN THE EASIER WAY TO HELP U OUT. AND WILL DO 1,000 PROBLEMS ON THE BOARD UNTIL EVERYONE UNDERSTANDS...GREAT PROFESSOR!

porf wallach teahes very clear and will go over the problem like 10 times if u dont understand. very helpful and his test are easy if u study, grades generously and reviews alot before test. best math professor i ever had

I hated math my entire life, and was very concerned I would not do well, but Dr. Wallach is an amazing professor. He is very helpful, and will give any extra help you ask for. if you pay attention and hand in homeworks you will definatly pass. He makes math a lot less frightening. lots of quizes and 4 tests plus final, but a wonderful professor.

In my opinion, Dr. Wallach is one of QCC's best math professors. He gives a lot of work, but it's all to help you learn the subject. He is always willing to explain and give examples to help the students understand the subject.

Pretty decent professor for math; he's clear and helpful. However, it was a 2 hr 40 min class and no break-he went from minute to minute; it was ridiculous.

He is a very good prof. but he went over too materials in very little time. I wish he can have more quizzes, so people can remember more in this class.

Dr. Wallach is an extremely good professor he explains everything well and does not mind helping people who need extra help. I recommend him too anyone who needs a professor to explain things throughly. He is very strict on attendance but during his class i had to get surgery done and he completely understood once i showed him papers and such!

Prof.wallach is the best,he explains everything clear and he just makes math so easy to understand.If you consider yourself very bad in math.You should really take this professor because i pass my math ACT by taking his class.I just can't believe that i used to get 20 to 50 points on all of my math exams but now i'm passin every test/quizzs.

He is a okay professor his only problem is that he gives way too many examples on the board and he talks alot.So if you think that this will be a easy class where he will let you out earl or may be he wont show up think again because hes always there and always ready to teach until the class time is literally up

Professor Patrick Wallach is an extremely great Math professor. Very helpful and always explains every problem clearly and shows how to solve each problem very clearly. I would highly recommend him for Math-120 to anyone. Thank you professor you help me alot good luck to all.

He's a pretty good math professor. all my friends had complained about math 120 before i took it but i found him to be very informitive in class with the material. Just do your hw,go to tutoring and pay attention in class you should do good. he even gives partical credit on test questions!

He is very Good... personaly this is the best teacher i had for math... am not very good in math but I felt i was the smartest in math... he explains the material very good, he gives alot of examples and that helps alot. he is very strict with attendence but any ways you have to attend class in order to pass a so that shouldnt be a problem.

The best prof in qcc. He expalins everything very clear and he expalains to his students how to use the calculator for almost every problem. Great review for every exam. Over all i recommend him to every student even if you dont like math,he will make you love it

honestly i think he is the best math professor in qcc!! he explains every single problem clearly until u understand it. his tests are not hard at all , he always gives u a review sheet before each test. He is extremely helpful!! take him you will learn a lot.

one of the top in qcc, strict on attendance but teaches math excellently. goes through problems thoroughly, gives a review sheet so whatever he teaches expect on the exam (no surprises) if you do your hw as practice from what he teaches then you should get an A. if you think you're not good at math because you just dont understand it then TAKE HIM!

Great teacher. Strict but if you try you will be rewarded. Do all the homework and asks questions. You should be fine.

He's cool, explains everything well, and the tests/quizzes are based on his review sheets! Yes he DOES go hard on attendance, but um hello this is college, how will you learn if you don't attend or are constantly late? I passed with an A, and that's very telling considering I took it during the summer, which is very fast paced. Take him! :)

Math is my strongest subject, but I must say he is great in explaining and helping those who do not understand... my math119 confused me and the same topic was touched in ma440 and it was a piece of cake. If you do not understand math take him. He gives study sheets, he always explain if you do not understand . and book is mandatory.

Professor Wallach is one of the best math professors I know In QCC. He is very helpful and patient with his students and answering any questions they have. He grades homework which will benefit your grade if you do them. His review sheets and quizzes are the same as his test, he is a very fair grader... I would definitely take him again!!

He class is very easy. All you have to do is all the homework's and pass his test. It's only 4 exams and they are 4-6 questions. Just pay attention because he kind of teaches fast.

Although I'm not a math person, I think he's a pretty good precal professor. In his class, the grades are from 4 tests (1 is optional & take home), 4 quizzes (drops lowest grade), attendance, class participation, hwk, & the final (counts 25%). His tests & the final = straightforward & very similar to review sheets. If you study, then you'll pass.

Dr. Wallach is one of the fairest professors that I've had in QCC. His review sheets are very helpful and there are never any trick questions on his tests or final. Of 3 major tests, the 4th is an optional take home which is challenging but, as said, is optional. The only way to get a poor grade in this class is if YOU don't put in the effort! 5*

Great professor, gives reviews before quizzes and test. And he's very strict on attendance, other than that his class is good. I learned a lot.

Super clear cut on what to do and how to do it. He speaks really fast although I didn't have a problem with keeping up. Some material is a little challenging, but he's always willing to do reviews with you and the class before exams.

Very straight forward professor. Counts attendance, 4 quizzes and tests. He gives reviews before all his tests and the review sheet is like the test, he just changes the numbers. If you want to do well, do the hw, come to class, and review the review sheets and quizzes. Hes a fair professor

Most helpful professor for math. Took math in the summer with him and passed with an A. Gives review sheets for everything that''s on tests and quizzes. You won''t regret taking him.

Dr Wallach was a great professor. He was clear, to the point, and his tests are extremely fair,not to mention almost identical to his review sheets which he goes over in class! Many assignments but they're there to help you in the end and attendance is a must. May come off a little rude sometimes but overall he's actually very kind and knowledgable

Took both Algebra and Trig, went from an F to an A in both classes. He is exceptional. Nearly identical review sheets to the exams just changes the numbers up. You will do great if you put in effort. Hw is essential. Wish I could take again but missed the boat signing up for classes on time. He has an unreal heart and an amazing personality.

one word, wonderful. He is a loving person and really good on what he is teaching. He took time to explain stuff in class and review sheets are helpful. I did not regret taking him and definitely will recommend people to take him. He is the best professor in Math.

DrWallach is the best professor I took him in summer and he is a very helpful guy Tests are easy if you learn although review sheets help a lot He always gives a quiz first and than the exam He will make Pre Calculus so easy for you just take him and you won't regret

He is the best math professor in QCC! He explain his lecture very clear, he is funny. I took this class in summer and I thought that it will be hard, but if you practice and do the homework you will be fine. He check attendance and good grading the exams. He takes his time to explain each section. Homework is extra credit. I will take him again!

Excellent professor I took in the first summer session! He gives 4 tests and 4 quizzes, drops the lowest quiz grade. He makes the class interesting and he always looks excited and helps after class for help. Participation counts!

He is good!!! I'm not a math person, but he makes the class easy to understand. The great thing about him is he gives review sheet before exam, so if you still get a bad grade from him, it's totally your fault. He also takes time to explain in class.

Do expect homeworks from him, but it was easy. everything is on the back of the textbook. you will have to hand it to him, he wouldn't check it carefully. he will just gives you a check. you can hand in 3 or 4 homeworks at the times. He will gives a quiz two weeks before a test. the test was easy. have a graphing calculator will helps in test

He explains everything very efficiently and makes every hard level easier for student . I would like to take his MA -441 class too

I failed precalc my first time with a different professor, then I retook precalculus with him and passed with flying colors. He is helpful, review sheets are identical to his tests, and just overall a very sweet and understanding teacher. If you're mathematically challenged like me, there is still hope for you and his name is Patrick Wallach.

So this class, i won't take again with him. I mean besides having 2 tests and quizzes on blackboard every week, you also have writing assignments (if you have the writing intensive course) and you have labs due every week. If you are not the type to not do work, don't take his class. Also his lectures, last 50 minutes but he never follows the time.

Excellent professor!! QCC will suffer a great loss if he leaves. I took him over the summer and I was scared of the workload of an intense course (MA 440) for a summer session but he made it so simple and clear. I passed with an A- even without doing the homework. He really cares for his students. Just take him.

He's a good professor, his exams are easy if you put in the work.

He talks and writes fast. His test/quiz question are the equivalent(not literally) of 1+12(in calc,precalc,alg,etc). we had online hw but you didn't have to do it and it counted as extra credit. no negotiation with this professor. there are 3 test and 3 quizzes. the 4th test and quiz are optional and act as a grade booster. he gives review sheets.

Good Professor

When I took this professor, I thought it was a fair class. You obviously have to attend class if you're not a stat major. There is a lot of excel and stat involved, I recommend studying and paying attention to all of his lectures and you will get an easy A!

An extremely fair professor. If you do the hw it helps clarify the lectures. If you dont the class may become more difficult. But it wont hurt your grade. He will then count quizzes and test more for your grade. Only gripe is he goes over class time a lot. You can leave but it feels awkward to do so as he continues to talk.

Professor Wallach is a good professor gets the job done and doesnt waste time. Hes an extremely nice guy and helps people a lot. When you ask a question he make sure your question is answered completely and thoroughly. Take him hes a real gem and one of the best. I thank God I chose him as my professor

Professor Wallach made my fear of Math less intense. I thoroughly enjoyed his class.

Nice guy! Will go to the ends of the earth to help you. Takes him a little long to grade items unless if it is a test. One bad side is that he is a tough grader.

This is probably the best one I've had in years. He actually explains how to do formulas and goes over it outside of class if you ask. He knows students are also human beings with other classes to attend to and is very understanding. I wish I could have him for all my subjects. The only issue I would have is sometimes he does arrive late, by a bit.

He is very nice professor. He has nice notes but he is a tough grader if you miss a step he cut a lot of points. The good part he gives extra credit which helps you with your grade he gives review sheet for the exam. He gives Also some points to each total of quizzes and exams. If you are good at math take him, if not you have to study a lot. À

He is a very good professor. He explains the problems step by step on the white board. If you are late, you will get confused as to where we are at in the problem. He will stop and explain more if asked to. As usual, the math and quizzes are the only stuff graded/mandatory. Just put your best effort in and don't be like me who wound up with a C.

Great Professor, I wouldn't take him again only because its math. listen, ask questions and STUDY, you should pass. bad reviews from those who failed. If only you guys studied and didn't show up to class an hour late, you would've passed. He gave an "optional" extra credit test and homework for those who needed it, no reason to fail and repeat lol

a good professor but a very boring one

He is a great professor. He grades your every step/mistake and although some people may find it bothersome it definitely helps when figuring out what you did wrong so you avoid that tiny mistake in the future. His lectures are great and very understandable. He's always clear about how the grades are weighted and when the quizzes/exams take place.

Just took his class over summer, I would definitely recommend him! He is extremely knowledgeable, loved his lectures, and very clear on assignments, and provides review sheets for quiz/ tests and lots of extra credit opportunities, your grade is up to u, no reason fail!

One of the better professors I had here at QCC. Took his class over the summer. You definitely need to put in work in order to get a good grade. It is graded by 4 quizzes/ 3 tests and 1 final exam. He drops the lowest quit score and gives an optional online exam to make improve your score. He gives a ton of partial credit on tests so show work

The professor has a specific teaching style, but engaging with it can pay off. Attend lectures, read the free textbook, and use unstuck study for study prep - it really helped me stay on top of the material. The grading is tough, but manageable if you put in the work.

Pro Wallach did his best to make Pre Calculus as easy and ensured he rendered support for his students to pass.I'm so happy I took his class,take him.

A good professor with good energy. It's clear he loves math and enjoys teaching. Math needs repetition so you're going to have to work in every class, but doing it with a good professor can make a big difference. Choose him!

Great Professor! His lectures are easy to follow along with and you can tell he genuinely cares to make sure you understand the concepts he teaches. Quizzes and exams were exactly as he described and he even allows you to retake exams if you're not happy about your grade. Lots of extra credit opportunities on tests. 10/10 take his class if you can!
