Very informative, funny, to the point with her lectures and feelings. A well rounded person. Easy to communicate with.

She was very easy to work with, had a great sense of humor, rarely ever missed or had to cancel class, etc. I'd highly recommend her.

Going to her class was like going to a daily therapeutic session. Not only do you learn about psychology but also about yourself. She was such a great teacher, I signed up for her Child Development class too. Lots of fun! And she grades on effort, so it's pretty much an easy A.

Ms. Ward is great. She is a little opininated and sometimes a bit **** against men, however she is highly amusing and knows what she is talking about. I enjoyed her a lot and would recommend her as a teacher.

I loved this class! Patti takes an intro class...and requires more than just showing up, testing, and leaving. The group projest is a great learning tool...so fun too! One of my favorite memories from my 1st sememster in college. This woman knows her stuff!!!

Can you say the BEST?!!! She is. Group project is an eye opener, extra creditis easy and helpful. Watch out for the first take home test, oy! I wish ALL the professors @ JCCC were like her. You will have to work for it, she won't hand it to you, but an A is easy. Put in the effort and it will be returned. THANKS Ms. Ward!!!! Great class :o)

Inspirational teacher. Makes you work for it, but is willing to help you out if you need it. Wants you to succeed. Majority of notes are from the book, pay attention and read your chapters and test should be fine. The take home test can be challenging though.

This was a good Intro to Psych class. She is very nice but she sticks to her guns. She likes to have fun.

I loved this teacher! She weeded out the students who didn't want to be there with the first take home test, and after that she was a blast! Can be a bit hard to read, but knowledagable on the topic, group project was fun. Loved this class! She expects hard workers, work hard and you'll be on her good side!

I had this class with both Professor Barbara Ladd and Patti Ward. The daily lectures were quite fun and interesting. Exams were pretty tough, but if you are prepared and study then you can do well on them. There is a group project that accounts for a huge portion of your total grade (15%) and daily attendance is a must. Overall, an enjoyable class.

Ms. Ward is awesome! I took her class when she co-taught w/ Ms. Ladd (who happens to be her best friend) and that made the class so much fun. Attendenc isn't mandatory until your assigned your group project. The lectures are very fun and very exciting. I would totally recomend her as a teacher. She is always willing to help! She's GREAT!

Wonderful! loved her, favorite teacher! she's free spirited and light hearted and in a good mood. makes class interesting, talks about material, you can either take notes or not pay attention and read the chptrs. doesn't care if you are late!

I'm very mixed with this teacher. I liked her, then I didn't. Overall, she was good though. She likes to preach her liberal political stances, but what teacher really doesn't? She sometimes will snap at you, but she does a good job at presenting the material. The group project is big!

Loved her! She presents the material very very well! I can still remember her lectures! Make sure you turn in everything on time. Some people complained about the tests- they were difficult but are only worth 10% of your grade. Shes more interested in your critical thinking skills rather than memorizing answers from a study sheet. This class rocked

Extremely nice lady and very funny. Makes Psychology fun to learn and she is very passionate about it. I was not very interested in Psychology at first but I was hooked during her class. She is very opinionated but other than that she was awesome.

I took Barbara Ladd and Patti Ward's combined psychology 130 class-it is a great class! They are both very entertaining and informative! It is not hard to get an A, as long as you do the easy hw and do well on the project and tests-which is not difficult to do in this class. I would recommend either one!

I had this teacher with B.Ladd also. They taught the class together and made the class great. If you pretty much just study the definitions, you'll get A's on the test. Going to class will definitly help you out. There is more in the book then you even need to know. Great teacher and extra credit opprotunities.

I took this class when Ward was teaching with Ladd as well. They are best friends and you can tell. They feed off of each other to make the class VERY interesting and easy to understand. You do need to go to class and pay attention, a good grade will not be handed to you, and it shouldn't be. Do your work and listen and you will do just fine!

Very very good class to take when she teaches with Mrs. Ladd. They are best friends and such an inspiration!Just wonderful experience and such great ladies and teachers. We learn real life explanations for our every day activities. I highly recommend this class, more than anything! Great discussion topics and so much fun! Attend and participate OK!

Only nice if you agree to be her **** and always show up for class, other than that kinda of mean. If you show up for class you will have no problem passing the class.

Lectures were really interesting. Plays favorites but study the vocab and lecture notes and you will get an A.

She teachers with Mrs. Ladd. They are a great team. They are very clear on what they expect. You will need to study to get a good grade. An A is not handed to you, but I think it is easy if you take notes, listen, and study.

I loved her class! She teaches with Ladd and they are a great combination! Ward can be strict at times but usually she's easy-going and fun to listen to. Her grading is fair and she leaves comments. Tests aren't bad if you study, and the group project is pretty easy if you just do your share. Attendance is basically mandatory for a good grade.

She is a wonderful person and professor. She thoroughly explains material and provides study guides so you are prepared for the test. all you have to do is study. There is a group project and 20 points is deducted for each unexcuseable absence from 200/1000 pts. Be there and pay attention. She makes it painless and very enjoyable.

Mrs. Ward is a wonderful teacher! She is very clear, very helpful, and treats her students like adults. Her classes require hard work, but it was worth it because I remember a lot of what I learned.

Professor Ward is definitely a great teacher. Yes, she's opinionated, but you have to realize that half the time she's being sarcastic. You just have to realize that. The class, overall, is very easy. Listen to the lecture, take notes, read the study guide and look at textbook for concepts you don't understand, and you'll be fine.

I took Professor Ward's summer class. I loved it. The lectures were interesting and interactive. I loved the real life analogies and examples she would give, which made learning and absorbing the info much easier. The tests are big and all multiple choice, except for the final. You will get an A if you study. Duh!!! Would DEFINITLY recommend!!!!

I took Intro to Psych and also Honors Psych with Professor Ward. She co-taught the class with Professor Ladd. They kept things interesting and I learned a lot. You just have to try a bit and you'll do well. My Honors class was a research paper that she guided. Her input and encouragement was wonderful. Take a class with her if you can!

I read on here before taking her class that she was a little crazy and she really is. She is, though, a fair teacher. She is very understanding with life events. She is VERY monotone and it is really hard to pay attention and follow her lecture. If you take her class, I would read the material before class so you can follow a little easier.

Mrs. Ward is by far the best professor I've ever had throughout my schooling career. She is very understanding of students with learning disabilities and will work with you on how to improve your state of mind for school. She is hilarious and makes lectures interesting. I'd highly recommend taking her joint class with Mrs. Ladd for PSYC 130.

I took this class over Summer in 8 weeks, and I loved it. She is monotone, but I still learned so much from her. I still remember things I learned and apply them to my life and analyze things as if I was a psych expert lol. No homework really, just tests, and 1 paper. It's a good class. Really :)

I took an online class from her - I recommend it was the best. Four tests, a paper ( two pages ), and a final. The practice quizzes were big help. I learned a lot and enjoyed this class

Loved taking Prof. Wards online class. Tons of reading, 4 unit tests, 1 final and a term paper. Gives great feedback that is helpful in completing your assignments. Looking forward to taking more classes with her.

Our class was online, so it wasn't the most interactive, but Professor Ward was a great teacher. We only had discussion questions each week, four unit tests, and a final term paper. No lectures so the information didn't stick with me, but overall a pretty good class.

I found that Prof Ward had a particularly political agenda in the way she assigned her work and the way she formatted her questions on her assignments. It was easy don't get me wrong. Her quizzes are timed. On the final, you have less time compared to the the other quizzes but the same amount of questions.

One of the easiest classes; Discussion boards matter, but aren't hard if you skim the textbook which can be found online for cheaper than the bookstore offers, or just by googling the information because it's science. Tests are easy; spend time on the discussions though - that's where the bulk of the grade come from.

PW was a FANTASTIC professor! Very supportive & encouraging. The class was laid out very well, easy A if you actually put in the effort and can follow simple instructions. Loved her passion and would definitely take a course taught by her again! She does encourage you to actually use the textbook- MAKE SURE THAT YOU DO!!!!

Patti Ward is a very kind and caring teacher. The only downside of her online course was that you only read from the book to learn anything. Definitely no late work allowed. She will tell you what you did wrong on an assignment

100% of the material you're learning is from the textbook. You have to read a couple chapters a week at first, then it bumps down to a chapter a week. Participate in the discussion questions, they're the majority of your grade. She gave great feedback and appreciates people who take their time writing out replies. Do not push off your final paper!!

Had some issues with accessing textbook and although that's not her area to assist, she really tried.

Loved this professor. Very easy going. Does assign discussion questions weekly that are stemmed from two chapters in the textbook so get ready to read. If you participate & really try with your discussion replies, it's almost impossible to fail. She's one of the best easy going professor's I've had! Would definitely take again!

This professor was great! Easy grading which made the class easy going! The syllabus is followed and everything is from textbook. I would definitely take another one of her courses!

I LOVE HERRRR! I took her intro to psych class online this semester. She gives extra credit, is super understanding, and adjusts due dates if needed. I got over 100% in her class and spent maybe 30 mins a week working on her homework. Discussion posts twice a week and then a few quizzes. Overall super easy and an easy A.

The class is a very easy A; you just have to put in the work. The workload is very reasonable for the course, consisting of "discussion questions" over a specific prompt for each chapter. Make sure for written assignments have proof of your work because she tried to accuse me of plagiarism. Overall, a good class if you need some credits.
