Great Teacher!! A Hotty!!
Energetic, tries hard, works hard, takes on whatever is asked of her, cares about her students' success, and gives of herself. Could use a bit more organization. But all her other pluses make up for any needs of improvement.
All you have to do is study the study guides n you'll get an A in her class. Very nice, helpful and kind. She really do cares about students' success.
she has no idea what the hell shes doing. i still got an A though. She also needs to stop wearing skirts. *shudder*
She is the most helpful teacher I have had at cerritos. She is very nice and want only for you to succeed in her class.
Don't bother taking George EVER. Never gave a single relevant lecture but expected students to know material for homework & random tests. Would not allow questions to be asked in class. Never taught a single problem from Math 80. Pitted students against eachother instead of getting up to teach. BAD!
I heard this lady was a good teacher but when I came to math 80 she didn't explained anything to the class. I will ask to go over homework so I can understand what I am doing wrong but she finds a way to go around the problems. Please people save your money and go to another teacher.
This teacher has no idea on how to teach a class. She doesn't explain anything and expects her students to learn from the book alone. She gives way to much homework and her tests are really hard. She does not even cover half the material on the test. If I were you I would never take her class.
Students explain problems. If student was wrond, she would try to explain, but if correct, she would just move on, even though most of the class was confused. Only one girl would raise her hand to answer ?'s and professor wouldn't care if the rest of us participated or understood--she would just go to the next prob. Take only if you can work indep.
This teacher is HOT. Great legs. I love those skirts
She is very nice, helpful, and easy. I got an A from her class. She likes and encourages students to go to her office and ask questions. Since she taught ESL before, she is patient and clearly describe class materials. She makes math fun!!!
The lectures are fine but she gives way too much HW which she collects almost never! Here tests are way too long and obscure, I was very disappointed with this class. You ask a quest. & she wants other students to answer it. Going over HW? Not happening! Also, it is not professional to show all that cleavage and wear a mini skirt!! What a waste!
cool class!

I love the class. She keeps the class fun and interesting. If you like group work...this is the class for you.
She can be helpful, but dont take this class. Her teaching style is strange,She gives homework on topics befor we even go over them in class, also takes to long going over the eazy stuff, while rushing through the hard stuff.
Knows her stuff. AND she's HOT!!!
this person should not be teaching such high a math class. the pace of the class is really slow and the homework journal takes way too long to do. this is coming from a math major. worst math teacher I have ever had, and that's saying something.
Teacher takes too long to teach the easy stuff. Homework journals take a very long time. Some activities that we did were at the 1st grade level. She also gives a lot of homework. Homework is given before the lecture. If you understand math don't take this teacher you will be frustrated because she confuses you on the stuff you already know.
she is so pretty!!! AND if you really want to learn YOU NEED TO TAKE HER!!!! i got perfect scores on all the test AND ENDED UP GETTING AN "A". other people got like B's and their final grade was an "A." SO SHES SUPER HELPFUL!! TESTS ARE NOT DIFFICULT IF YOU DO THE HW!!! love ya ms George!!
I agree, she should not be teaching a math class this advanced. Seriously, she is the worst teacher that I have ever had. We may as well get her paycheck because we grade our own quizzes and even do the lectures for her. She gives the homework even before she touches on a chapter (not that she really goes into a chapter). RUN THE OTHER WAY!
SHE SHOULD STICK TO ENGLISH!
Homework journal takes forever because you have to copy the questions from the book. Goes though easy questions, give you problems before she touches to that material.Ridiculous test-math is universal language, you just need to use number or symbol. However, she asks you to write everything in Standard Written English. The tests have all questions no
(continue).. are not like math,it is like theory with true, false &describe the equation in complete sentence. She should teach English. You may like her if you are in easy level math, when you reach to such a high level math as calculus 3,you will be upset cuz of her teaching way.She dresses up like a playgirlwhichmakes BOYS really HOT during lecture
she is crazy! what kind of teacher barely goes through 2 chapters of calculus in 3 meetings and expects you to take a test the next time you meet?
I liked this teacher. You can learn if you take good lecture notes and keep up with the homework.
She's a great prof! Just make sure you listen to her lectures! I honestly disagree with the people who commented in the past. if you do the homework prof. george assigns, i'm sure you'll do well.
She SUCKS!!!George makes everything more difficult than it has to be. Her Teaching style is crazy, she's confused doesn't know if shes a math teacher or english teacher. Makes you right compleate sentences for your response. Dont take the class, dont wast your time, take someone else! Also dress kinda ****y makes all the young boys hot & stupid
write to much about a problem and showed show more work on how to do the problem step by step and not word by word. her teaching styles are not vey good.
She is very unorganized and she detours a lot from her lectures to answer often irrevelant student questions regarding math. She seldomly keeps track of homework so it's easy to fall behind.
she has no idea what she is talking about half the time...she has smoked too much in her days i guarantee talk about midlife crisis. perfect example with all that cleavage and mini skirts
If you can avoid it, then dont take her.
She definitely shouldn't be teaching Match. She spends too much time on history & english. Talks to students as if they are in 3rd grade & makes them do really random & basic exercises. She is really strict about the style of notes one must take instead of taking different learning styles in to account. Homework folder is insane! Totally crazy!
She treats everyone like they are in elementary and teaches like everyone is slow. I didnt like her from the first day i went to class. And she keeps the class over time and says she will give us a break but doesnt. I would not recommend her to anyone!!
HORRIBLE!!!! She doesnt teach you anything, everything is practically on your own even when you dont understand it. she gives too much homework and doesnt collect any of it. IF you can, AVOID taking her!
I took her class during the summer session and it was hard, but she tried to help the class out as much as she can. For example, she allowed us to used 1 cheat sheet for every exams. She can be nice and helpful if you stay on her good side. However, her teaching style is not too clear to me. Her test is not too hard if you study the review test.
AWFUL!!! Flaky, always late, not fair, does not stick to her syllabus, should I continue...not a great example for "future teachers"...stay away from this lady
She was an ok professor. Her test are some what easy and she doesnt give out as much homework as other math teachers (she makes u do multiples of 5 on the text book). She drops your 2 lowest quizes or hw grades and drops your lowest test, THAT HELPS OUT A LOT!! She's a bit unorginized and doesnt post the hw online AT ALL (like she sais she would)
she needs to go to speech class with all her ums and uhs in the class. she also reads out of the textbook when she does her lectures. she also never tells you your grade and turns work back.
The class is a lot of work that she doesnt even cover in class but assigns in homework
I learned alot in this class. We did alot of activities that I can see using when I become a teacher. Its true that she doesn't always go over every single thing during her lecture but if you have half a brain you can read the book to fill in what you missed and help with hw. Anytime I went to office hours she was very helpful.
Patty is a nice person inside but she does not have a clue on how to teach a math class. Professor will give us one whole chapter in homework for 1 week and then the following week we have a test. She also does not give examples on the board as often as she should.
OMG!! SHE IS THE WORST MATH TEACHER I EVER HAD. HER TESTS ARE NOTHING LIKE THE MATERIAL COVERED IN CLASS. SHE UPLOADS ONLINE A STUDY GUIDE THE DAY BEFORE THE TEST OR SOMETIMES THE DAY OF THE TEST AND YOU DONT HAVE TIME TO ASK QUESTIONS. SHE IS UNCLEAR IN HER LECTURES AND DOESNT KNOW HOW TO EXPLAIN HOW TO DO THE PROBLEMS..DO NOT TAKE THIS TEACHER
Teacher is completely unorganized, never know what to expect in class. Teacher's way of teaching is so confusing, most of the time the whole class was lost. Your better off taking a semi-independent class instead and teach yourself. i only rated hard because on the tests she gives is not consistent with the material learned by peers.
do not take this teacher, she doesnt know what she is teaching half the time and is very unconsistant with her grading.
I cannot fathom why everyone says that she is the most horrible math teacher?? I thought the class was fairly easy. Although, Prof. George can be a bit sporadic, she definitely knows her stuff and is very helpful when approached. As a matter of fact, I thought the students were rude and inept. I say take her it's an easy A.
Very nice lady. She goes out of her way to help you on whatever you might need. Gives lots of homework but really looks at the effort to put in the class.
Took her for 60 last semester. Assigns and grades hw, gives quizes which help students evaluate knowledge of subject matter prior to test and questions for test are from review sheets she hands out. If you devote time there is no reason you shouldn't pass her class. Anyone who says different is probably lazy.
She can't add and she's teaching math!
this class is def easy a if you can understand her material. for me her lectures were sometimes confusing so i had to study the book myself. alot of hw but ddoesnt check until ntbk check comes around and sometimes tells u to do but forgets to check. shes very comfusing at times. i never looked forward to her class.
Material was easy, but she shouldn't teach. She'll try to say a sentence but all you hear is "uhh, uhh.." She teaches straight from the textbook (like word for word, exact examples). She plays favorites and its obvious. Ask a ? and she'll never give you a straight answer. Just do your homework.
Patty is a really nice person, but as a teacher, she's not very good. She is very unorganized and assigns a ridiculous amount of homework that she never collected. She does give out study guides which are very similar to the tests, so as long as you study those, you're golden.
I took Patty George for Math 150. By the end of the class only 14 people remained out of 40-60. Her test are almost identical to the study guide only less on the actual test. She only grades the 2 highest test scores, final, quiz, and homework. Forgets a lot like collecting homework. Highly recommend math tutoring center on her study guides. okPROF
Do ALL of the questions on the study guides that she hands out before EXAMS, and you'll get an easy A. Exams are mostly based on her examples from LECTURE & STUDY GUIDES, basically what she spends most of her time on. HW is a lot & may not help on exam, but do it b/c she might collect them, and they're worth a lot!!!
Doesn't put any effort into helping clueless students. Boring lectures. Lots of notes and Hw she doesn't collect. Very nice person but very bad teacher. She made math harder than ever.
I took her for two semesters and honestly can say that she has changed her teaching style. She is much more involved but some students didnt really catch on to her teaching style. If you decide to take her I suggest you do the homework, the test corrections and try and get very familiar with the study guides before test day. Just give her a chance.
She SUCKS!!!! Very BORING!!! And she makes it hard to learn and expects you to do the problems her way!!! Oh and her complete English sentences are ANNOYING!!!!
she wants cornell notes and will not let you take them another way. (you turn in all of your class notes at the end of the term) all answers must be stated in clear sentences. if you read ahead she tells you to wait but when you are falling behind she just tells you to go to the learning center - i dropped and will take it with another professor.
the lectures were about 3 sections behind the assigned homework-she wants complete sentence answers will not stop to explain even if half the students are clueless-strict rules on the paper you use and the style of notes you take-doesn't take the time to talk to students few office hours- at times rude and condescending when you just don't get it
Great Person. Class was usually behind 1 or 2 book chapters. Homework is way to easy mainly self taught. Most of her explanations are usually focused on algebra instead of the actual calculus. I practically had to teach my study group because they never really understood her. Great terminology though. Easy A if you get Math easily.
I did not like her class what so ever! If you also work like I do you do not have time to go to the tutoring center and without that you will not pass. Ask too many questions and she will get frustrated. And likes to waste paper.
Very nice person. She lacks the ability to enforce the rules on people who distract the class for others. This is what ultimately causes delays on chapter reviews.I noticed that the people who did not pay attention and distracted the class were the overall people that failed.
Really hard to understand most of the time. I had nothing but A's till I took this class I'm at a C right now because of her ridiculous amounts of homework! 1000 problems at a time sometimes. AVOID AT ALL COST!
She is an awesome teacher! If you try your best she will support you throughout the semester. She is University material. She challenges your studying and learning skills. Pay close attention to her lecture to stay on top of things. Do your homework ahead of time since there will be tons to go over!!! Ask questions... Good luck!
SUCH A GREAT TEACHER ~ it was my first semester at college she really helps and she is so nice in grading she is good if you be good and work hard, too much HW but good class and FOR SURE try her sample tests, her test comes from the sample test really useful . K.N
I took her for summer session and she was pretty fair. She goes through the material quickly but she is helpful if you don't understand it. I say she is pretty fair.
Avoid at all cost unless you plan on self studying. She moves through the chapters real slow and expects you to do hw on chapters she has not taught yet. If you do all the homework there is a possibility that you won't even get credit for it. She picks out random questions and gives you points based on those questions alone, not the full assignment.
honesty i have an A in the class, but i would like to say for a lot of people are struggling in calculus II, are struggling to do different type of problems and the prof doesn't give enough math and examples, but all i see is english rather than math. i recomend to self teach ahead b4 having this prof. find other calculus textbooks if u want pass.
She is disorganized teacher. Her class does not goes as it was planned. Avoid taking her if you want to learn something, and get your basics for calc 2. She gives study guides same as test.
Prof. George really cares about her students and she is passionate about math. The tests are generally easier than the homework, she puts a strong emphasis on organization of notes/homework, and she has the students do group presentations on math topics. Her lectures aren't the best, but she will give you all the resources you need to get an A.
She means well, but she's tough. She assigned a ridiculous amount of hw and she didn't let us use calculators. She has crazy rules like…. you have to line up the = signs or else you will get marked down points. Who does that? Oh and you gotta take mad notes…it's just a lot of work!
DO NOT take Patty George!!! I got an A but honestly I don't deserve it. I didn't learn anything from her, basically teach yourself. Unclear and boring lectures! She would make mistakes in her own examples! If your a STEM major and need to learn calc then take another professor! I have never written a review but I felt students needed to be warned!
Makes you keep a "homework journal" like a middle school kid (so obnoxious and time consuming), forces you to take notes in a very specific way (lady, what works for you doesn't work for me..), does not explain things well... I had to drop midway through the semester, not because I was doing badly, but because it was so much work for no real gain.
She gives out a ton of homework, and makes you keep a journal of it. I feel like I was thrown back into middle school since I took her class. Pretty much have to self-study everything. Not good. Take someone else.
she is one of the best teacher i ever took. she gives a lot of opportunities to bring your grade up. she is with students side. she fights for you if you wanna move...
she is amazing to teach and she will go over every things from the base. loved her so bad. make sure you follow her rules . NO CELLPHONE.
DO ALL THE STUDY GUIDES master all the material on them. If you can do this, you'll do great on the exams. She assigns WAAAY too much HW (use Chegg & student solution manual). Her class is only mandatory due the material she covers (it'll be on the following Quiz, so master it). If you need help, go to her office hours (she is very nice). Ok prof.
I liked her a lot. Great teacher, good feedback.
I get this feeling that she doesn't really know most of what she's talking about.. She copies off her own notes, and even those are complicated and unclear when there's obviously an easier way to go about the problem. She doesn't do so well at keeping up with the syllabus either.
I had a very hard time trying to follow her lectures.. Most of the words that come out of her mouth are "um" "so" "actually" "you know what?" "wait" and her sentences are usually broken - she skips from one sentence to another and more often than not, messes up her own lecture notessyllabus.
if you are a clac 3 student dont wait for the professor to help you. she is a good teacher gives easy quizzes to keep student on track. easy exams if you study too many HWs Helpful good in general. I want to thank her for the help!
she is easiest math teacher ever. you should do her homework and you going to be ready for here exam. ask her for advise and she always trying her best to help all her students.
Well, the best thing to say about this class is that you take only to check Math 150 off your educational plan. Dont expect to learn anything basically. It's an easy A as long as u have prior knowledge of the material because her lectures are just bad. She doesnt go by her syllabus at all, yet you are required to. DO NOT TAKE Her f u want real math
Do not take her class she is unclear and when she talk she breaks a lot and skips sentence, she also makes you aline the signs or elase you lose points, she also makes you right notes in a specific way, she's nice but she has to know that what works for her doesn't always work the rest of us, everyone has a different way of solving a problem.
she doesnt have a solid logic behind her lectures. I had to teach myself throughout this course, she gives unnecessary problems on quizzes and exams, and does not know how to explain theorems thoroughly. i got stuck with her because my original professor couldnt teach for the remainder of the course, otherwise i wouldnt take george again.
I took this Professor thinking she was good. This is my second time taking Math-60. I was so determined to pass, but after taking this Professor she made almost impossible. This professor has her own way of teaching things that I don't necessarily understand. I had to drop my Math class, hopefully next semester I find someone easier.
This teacher is the worst!! I'm sorry but do not take her class no matter how much eveffort you do she won't care about you she is not clear in her stuff she wants it in her way and she says that all the math teacher are wrong and that her way is the only true way. Believe me take someone else's.
She is very unclear. This is my first time being exposed to calculus and I feel like I am learning it wrong from her. I am learning a lot of it on my own and I am currently sitting in at another school's calculus class because this one is so bad. A disrespect to mathematics education.
Ms. George is very good professor. She gives you the resources to learn and do the work. You have to want learn the material if you want to well. Some of the lectures me be vague, but if you ask questions Ms. George will help you.
She likes notes a specific way, she wants students to show work a certain way. Her 'practice tests' are not helpful for the tests. She not very organized when it comes to collecting homework and giving back paperwork. When working on a problem she writes way too fast and doesn't give enough time for students to copy it in their notes.
OK if you pay attention, take good note , study hard you'll pass. Make sure to do the study guide they are helpfull.
Don't expect to pass if you don't study or do the HW and Study guide. Remember you earn your grade your not given a grade. Therefor if you dedicated to earn a good grade you must study and review your notes
Great professor. I order to pass you must put in the time and effort to study. Do the study guide and HW they help in the exams.
Great Professor, Just attend her class and pay attention and you'll be fine.
She is the worst professor i have ever take. she is also a tough grader. Beware!!!!
Awful. Class was a basic lecture, but more or less she wants things done her exact way, She did mess up on examples from time to time and didn't really have control over the class. It's not that she herself was terrible, she was decent enough but the combination of all the above and needless group work just made class just bleh.
'Lectures' are nothing but examples from the book, already explained on there. Gets lost easily when explaining, sometimes wrong. Group projects in a math class?! A waste of time. Note, her degree is in German so it kind of makes sense. She's a nice person, I've had only A's in math but she is just not a good professor, for calc 2 at least.
Lecture's were all over the place, never had a clear path to what was going to be on the exams and was extremely tough on the grading.
Great teacher! Do the homework!
The main reason this class is difficult, is that you have to learning everything on your own. The lectures are not very helpful, but she requires you to be in class. Find another Professor if you have the choice. (Professor Leonard's youtube channel is where I learned CALC 2).
Probably pointless to right this, she told us that she wont be teaching anymore but going on to research. She... not a bad teacher. She is really bad at teaching, you will need to rely on youtube for help. There was a group presentation but its free points! Dont worry about your grade tanking, i had a F going into the finals, final grade B.
To be fair, I have always been bad at math and I took the summer course. She is not a terrible teacher as everyone says. Yes, she can be fast-paced, but if you ask to slow down or go back or re-explain, she has been very understanding and patient. Do the homework/worksheets, it really helps. Take advantage of her office hours for extra help.
I took her for Math 60 over the summer, at first she's a little intimidating even confusing at times. I didn't think i was going to pass the class or learn anything since she was a bit strict on how students should work on problems. Over all she is very nice and helpful.
Very difficult professor, the lecture goes all over the place. 3 tests, as long as you study the homework and understand the concepts, you should have no issue with the class. But make sure you study! Without studying, prepare to fail.
She doesn't keep up with the schedule she gives you on the syllabus. A lot of the class is studying on you're own. Her lectures are all over the place and it doesn't sound like she knows what she is talking about. She skipped 3 chapters one day and went back to it a week after. However, her tests are fair because she tells you what to study.
You do a lot of studying on your own. I have been in tutoring almost everyday to get help for her class. Even the tutors are aware that she isn't great. she didn't teach us something we critically needed in a chapter. So, we were very lost. We're about a week or two behind our learning lesson schedule. She also assigns difficult hw problems.
The professor has excellent presentation skills with great studying materials. The class has fun activities and is never bored. She makes sure her students succeed and gives plenty of chances(extra credit, group quiz etc...) She also make sure her tutor go over the material after the class. Highly recommended. Will take her class again :)
She is an amazing teacher she drops two lowest quizzes. She makes math a lil fun and it us easy to get an A if you have basics covered. She also allows 1 or 2 pages of formulas u can have in the test that helps alot
Poor lecturer. Relies on students to teach. Loosely follows the syllabus and assigns an unreasonable amount of work, especially since she does a poor job conveying information, or just requires you to learn it on your own. Does a poor job meeting learning objectives. Does not clearly communicate what is required or where you even are in the book.
I enrolled in her class because I needed to take MATH 190 and all of the other sections were full. Although she is a nice lady, I wouldn't recommend her if you're intending on genuinely learning the course material, especially if your major is oriented around STEM. Her class is perfect for the lazy students that want to just show up and get an A.
I wouldn't recommend her at all. She is all over the and it's hard to understand. Take it with another professor. She really help when you visit her office hours. I wish the best of future students taking her.
An overall good professor who should be more clear on grading and what to expect.
Great professor. She cares about her students and offers a lot of internship opportunities for STEM majors. It is a lot of independent work but there are no surprises on the exams. As long as you do the practice exam the tests should be easy.
I just took her class this semester and from my experience, she's a great teacher that genuinely wants her students to pass. I think she's a great teacher. You basically just need to show up, take some notes, and she'll go the rest.
She is the best maths professor i had . I dont like maths before, after taking her i starting liking the maths. She explains so well and clearly. She answers your all questions. Give study guide for exams. I recommend to take her class. If you study you will get A. I got A in her math 170 class.
Professor Patty is a very friendly and nice professor , but I would not recommend her class if you are a STEM major. She is not clear on grading criteria and does not explain the material well. However, I would recommend this class for people who are only taking calc as a general Ed course.
Love this prof! Would take again. Was scared to take this class but she taught everything thoroughly and the program she uses helps you learn even more so when its test day you're prepared. Loved this class everyone should take her if you want to learn. She also is very understanding if you ever have personal issues.
Seriously I never rate a professor but this damn lady made me start. I tried so hard to try and pass or do ok. Even the asian students were having difficulty. She is a clown for a teacher. At some point she said to the whole class, I didnt go over this so guess and I won't grade you bad. She failed more than half the class.. Skip the class trust me
I was hesitant to take her class because of all the bad ratings, but she was the only class that fit my schedule so I took her anyway. She is no doubt super sweet, but her tests are bs. She skims over material that seems doable during lectures, but the tests are super hard.
This class was a fever dream to be honest. I had previous knowledge from ap calc ab so it wasn't difficult and I didn't study too hard. There's a lot of group interaction involved with this class and you'll usually work with the whole class to finish tests/quizzes (make a group chat). Lectures pace going over content seemed agonizingly slow.
If you cant teach yourself, dont take this class. You pretty much have to teach yourself the material. She will just do the simple examples and just lets you go. The lectures are so slow, like legit shoot me now slow. The homework is a lot of stuff she missed talking about so idk about this one.
The most unorganized class I have EVER taken. Slow grader and makes mistakes. Stay away from her if you a stem major. If you don't care about learning the stuff then take her. Class is messy and she doesn't teach. Be sure you have to do all your learning alone. Class was easy and professor was nice. But as a STEM major, I regret taking her class.
I love Professor Patty, she is very understanding and lenient. I took her online so it was asycharnus but shes still an amazing professor. She may be unorganized, but if she is she would understand she is and giver longer deadlines. Honestly not hard to get a good grade in her class. Tests can be taken with your classmates. Homework is pretty heavy
Was a little disorganized, but she cares about the students. Test were a bit tougher.
she's a nice person but a very bad and disorganized professor. she's sweet old lady and very lenient on late penalties but absolutely does not change any grade (even if you are right). I think grading is done by TAs and she doesn't know the problems properly.
She gives an insane amount of homework, almost impossible to do if you have other classes, work full time, and is difficult balancing your personal life, feels like never ending assignments w/ 3 minute long lecture videos, feels like you have to teach yourself.Class is unorganized, grading is kind of weird-little to no feedback on homework/tests.
You might see the other reviews and think to yourself she cant be that bad ill give her a try.... trust me do not take her. She makes you write the questions for hundreds of problems from the book by hand and not only that but you have hours of lecture videos you must watch and turn in the notes for. save yourself.
She is an amazing professor, and extremely lenient. She made so many exceptions for me, eventually allowing me to pull through with an A. However, the workload in this course is insane. I did significantly more work for this one class than I did for all of my classes in one of my previous (16.5 unit) semesters). But, her care is worth it.
terrible professor too much coursework no regard for student well being
If you plan on taking her for calculus 1 for the summer: Don't. She gives so much assignments and even if you don't work a part or fulltime job good luck because its week after week of a barrage of assignments, not only that the knewton assignments do not raise your grade as much as the actual test and quizess. Its 6 weeks of literal hell.
She's an awesome professor. Very understanding, lenient, and focused on the student's success. You must do all if not most of the work to get good grades. She gives you a lot of opportunities to get high grades. You can work in groups for homework and tests and she encourages you to do so. Homework can be a lot, but you can do it in groups too.
Loved having her as a professor! Her lectures are really good, and pretty relevant to the HW she leaves. Make sure not to slack too much on Knewton (hw), keep up with them as they're assigned as some take a while to figure out. Take advantage of working in groups, as she allows that for the hw/tests. She cares for her students and it really shows!
The amount of work you have to do in this class is unreal. She makes you handwrite an entire exam and still makes homework due the same day.
Professor George is amazing and truly cares about her students! She went above and beyond in meeting with me to go over all of my exams and was prompt with her emails. Not only that she got me an internship in the engineering field as she truly wanted me to succeed. Unpaid, but hey.
Very good prof., she made taking a 6-week precalc class very manageable.
This professor was extremely kind and assisted greatly in office hours, yet assigned unreasonable amounts of assignments. I was working a part-time job while I took this course, so I truly lacked social interactions for those 6 weeks. Luckily, she allowed us to use the internet and encouraged us to work with peers on assignments and even the final.
Might as well have taken an online class. Very sweet person but can't teach. You learn everything from the online assignments and then she lectures on the material after its due date. On top of that, she threatens to drop you if you don't show up. Only plus is that the exams are taken at home and she gives you a few days to do it.
The class can be challenging, with a heavy workload and sometimes disorganized lectures. However, the professor is kind and lenient. To succeed, lean on study aids like unstuck study alongside the textbook.
so much work its unbelievable, its as if she doesn't even consider anyone would have a life outside of her class. No one should be expected to turn in around 10+ assignments every few days. Also she uses knewton alta so expect to pay roughly 50 bucks for a online math site to teach you
Do not take this class with any other hard classes you must take. I made the mistake of thinking I could take this class + Chem, it's not a hard class but it requires a lot of your time that I just do not have at the moment unfortunately. Oh and keep in mind you will have to pay for a website to access some of your assignments.
Really enjoyed this class. Yes, it was a lot of homework but it was still VERY do-able with deadline extensions and the grace of the professor, the program used wasn't the best but overall she is a great professor.
You get what you want from the class, try to be a week ahead from day 1 and incorporate yourself with like-minded individuals. Go to tutoring, ask for help, and her lectures will have value. Stress will be high but she will help you and is very lenient with late work. Lots of notes, online assignments, and worksheets but its pretty achievable.
There was a good amount of homework every week so try not to fall too back behind because it's so hard to catch up. But, she is a really caring and funny professor. Her low rating made me scared at the beginning of the class but you will not regret taking her afterwards. Trust me. She got our class pizza and snacks! She is awesome, one of the best.
Really nice professor, she gives a lot of homework, but she does go over it with the class if you ask her to. She also gives hw extensions if you need them and is pretty lenient. Overall, a good experience and the best math teacher I've had so far.
