He is the best math teacher I have had. He is always willing to help you out and answer any questions you have. Just pay attention and it is easy.
He is really the best I have ever had. Just do the homework and go to class, and you'll do well.
You have a hard time understanding him because of a thick, thick accent. Additionally, he made huge errors that were apparent in the book.
I took this class last summer and it was the best.Very clear on what is expected. Tests come from lectures and fun labs. If you want to take phys sci 101 take it with him but he only teaches it in the summer. Highly recommended!!!

pretty easy class to pass if you pay attention in class, take notes and ask questions. He is always available for help if you need it . I had him for math 50& 70.
He was a awesome teacher, it was hard to understand him at times. But overall very easy to understand the material. Just take notes, and do the Homework he asigns(which isn't to bad) your sure to pass the class!!!

This professor is so very hard to understand. And he speaks in monotone like th dry-eye guy on T.V. And don't ask him for help because he just repeats himself and you still can't understand him. He speaks sooooo very fast. Would not take him again or recommend this instructor to friends and loved ones.
I love Mr Ahad! I talked about National holidays (I just started making them up everyday) He laughs and helps the class a lot more, if the class is more open and willing to talk about everyday stuff. Nice guy.

he didn’t know the work, he said the book was wrong on many accounts(but he was the one that was wrong). would not recommend for physical science, most likely he’s a better math teacher though, especially since he tried teaching us math every chance he got!
very hard to understand! labs are long and hard, he doesn't really explain them. he assumes you know what to do. lectures are looong! bring coffee! tests are hard! he's a great guy OUTSIDE class, but not as a teacher.
Fairly easy teacher, but you cant really understand him. Sometimes he will give u a wrong answer and wont admit that he's wrong. But in all he does not grade hard at all. As long as u do the homework u will pass!!! But watch out he does pick his nose...ewwwww

Mr. Ahad is a great professor. He is a character, and doesn't take crap from any smart-butt student. He is a little old jewish guy, and he teaches many different ways to solve a problem.

If ur good at math take his class, if you stuggle w/math DO NOT take Mr.Ahad. Fast paced class, and he is easily annoyed if you don't understand..He always says "What don't you undrstand?? I AM TEACHING!!" I appreciated the fast pace, because I'm good at math, but I felt sorry for the students struggling because he didn't slow down for them.
Mr. Ahad is one of the easiest math teachers...the only problem is his big accent so it was very difficult to understand him...other than that...very fair teacher!

i took this professor over this past summer, it was a good experience. Over 8 weeks, we covered lots of materials but he is always available for help when you need it. Tests are based on his lectures!!! Attendance is very helpful. (:

I'm graduating AVC this year and of all the courses I've taken, this was the best. Tests aren't hard if you pay attention to his lectures and practice the problems from the book.
I suck at Math and even hated Math. I was so nervous about taking this course, but am so glad I did. He really helps you understand the material and always makes his self available to help when ever he can. His test are easy and the HomeWork is such a Breeze. He does have a heavy accent being from Iraq, but he totally ROCKS, you just need to listen

Mr Ahad is always snorting and picking his nose. I couldnt stand it!! He doesn't let you have food or drink & makes a big deal of it if you do!! He doesn't explain things well, even though he does offer extra help. Do the homework and extra credit tho and you will pass. Lectures are BORING and you can't miss many classes or he freaks out.
I am now taking math 050 with him during summer. I think he is a really good teacher. Before I took the class, I had no idea about math and now I so feel ready for math 060. He offers a lot of help if you need it. Dr. Ahad is awesome.
Every class he projected the book on the screen and read from the text. Has a thick accent, but I understood him fine. He wouldn't explain concepts well. Few easy quizzes and a final; gives you a practice final to take home. HW is short and easy. Lots of extra credit! Acts rather strict, but he's a nice man. Dr. Ahad is one of my favorite teachers!
What a great teacher, I loved his teaching method. I've always hated math but I actually kinda like it now that I understand it. He had the book on the projector, he explained all the work, and his accent is not thick at all I unsterstood him perfectly. Was moody sometimes he's but a great teacher. I'm taking his math 70 class now. Very pleased.

He makes learning math FUNNNNNN. I had him for Math 60 and 70. Trying to get him for math 102. If you do the homework and the extra credit you should pass. There are NO surprise questions on his quiz or exams; they are from the book.
This professor is kind of hard to understand because of his eastern European accent. however if you sit in front and pay attention this wont be an issue, he's very straight froward and drops lowest test score. Work hard come to class and this is nothing to worry about.

Ahad has an accent but it can be worked around. He knows what he's talking about and is good at thoroughly explaining the material. He's strict on attendance and does not like cell phone use or talking.

Okay he is beyond RUDE!! He has his favorites.. If you are on his bad side you will suffer!! His teaching skills are good if you dont know the material but if you do.. its slow.. Try to get an other teacher if not then try to kiss butt.. and you'll have a good semester...
the first class he seems really nice. his favorite thing to say is "dont worry about it", abotu EVERYTHING. doesnt give you back your test while he reviews it. accent is very strong. homework is easy and so are the tests. having him for a teacher was my only problem. he's very stubborn and is set on his ways of how he runs class.

Paul Ahad is not a good teacher at all he puts people down if they don't understand something I worked my butt off and I don't think I am even going to pass his class I did all my work and I was there everyday over half the class walked out and never came back he is a really bad teacher and I will never take him again
This is the worst professor I have ever taken for any class. I am bad at math as it is and Ahad made it even more difficult to understand. As an honors student, I am used to being in classes that are harder than average, but this class was just impossible-- and it wasn't even an honors course! I would never recommend him to anyone.
I found Dr. Ahad to be a very good teacher. I hated math before but I now feel more confident in my abilities. He was only angry with the students who were rude and disrespectful. Follow his rules and respect him and you will have no problems. He loves to help you if you need it.

Mr.Ahad really made Algebra an interesting subject to me. It had been the third time I have taken Algebra 1 since middle school, and this was the first time it actually all made sense to me-thanks to Mr.Ahad.

Easy class. If you are good at math, it's ok to take him because you can just do your own thing the entire time. If math does not come easy to you then I recommend you take a different teacher because he is very difficult to understand. Homework is due at the end of every chapter so you work at your own pace. Other then that, good class, easy pass.
fairly easy. Youre not required a book but he does teach exactly from there so buy it if you get lost easily. He gives you a hmwk link to print out and its due at the end of every chapter. He gives you sample problems after everything he teaches but there are tutors to help you in class when its time to solve them. I recommend him

People are not fair to Mr. Ahad. He is not a 'gentle' teacher, but he'll get you through the class. If you get like an 88, he'll bump you up to an A. He does not allow late work/tests EVER. He was using the computer too much, we complained, now he does work on the board (better). I like him. Students talk bad, but many take him again. I will.

You do Not need book for his class, he will put homework in the MY COURSES, and not too much hw. test is easy.although some student don't like him, but if he teach 130 i will take him again. if you are good for math and want a easy class, take him.
Very hard to understand since he will often backtrack, on deadlines he is often fickle and sometimes due dates seem unclear. I have taken two tests so far and received very low grades and usually I receive A marks in math. His tests are graded awkwardly you don't really know why you missed. Just don't enroll not worth the trouble.
He is a very nice teacher. There is homework for each chapter and several quiz's. Most of the test are two or three chapters together plus the final. He does move fast and I did have a hard time but he was always there to help. His final in multiple choice. He is fair and strict with his rules, no make ups and no late work, would take him again.

Mean, unapproachable, horrible excuse for a teacher. He yells and criticizes you when you ask questions and makes you feel bad for not understanding. He enjoys putting people down. I advise you never to take this man, especially if math isn't your strong point and you need a little help.
Come on people, this is college. No one is here to baby sit you. Your success in class is up to you: open your book and do your homework. Textbooks for all levels of CC math are understandable, just give a try. Professor Ahad was a really good math teacher. It took me a couple classes to get used to his accent but it really wasn't that bad. I'm not great at math but I did very well in the class. He was actually nice and funny and helpful, but didn't tolerate rude students that talked during class or make "jokes". Pretty fair guy. I'd take him again!
He might seem hard at first, but his instruction is good. He goes over everything that will be on the test. Your grade will reflect how much of the time you pay attention. I once told him "You're a good teacher Mr Ahad." He said "Yeah, I know." A lot of students choose him again after taking him for other math classes.
Dr Ahad is an extremely fair teacher. If you don't give him a hard time, he doesn't give you a hard time. He is always willing to help with genuine questions, he takes offense to students that ask stupid questions and waste his time, He teaches math well. Overall it was a great learning experience ! I will most definitely be taking him again!

I did read, participated and return my HW assignments on time, plus i didnt miss a class, he still was very rude. He screams on you in front of the class when dont understand lecture. He doesnt clarify when math problems are confusing.

If he wants to leave early, he WILL take your tests from you whether you are done or not even if you have 30 minutes left to finish it. (I would know) he doesn't understand english very well so he gets confused which leads to confusing the students. He DOES know the material very well but is not a great teacher. He tries to make you fail almost...
Honestly, not the best teacher. He knows his stuff though. I slept through the class with an A, which doesnt matter since its assno pass. If you know your stuff then this class should be more than easy.
He does plenty of examples with you and if you are confused at any time, he will break it down or do another one. He drops the lowest test score and HW is optional (he'll average your test scores if you don't do it) but I hear he doesn't do make up tests, period. He seems like a pretty nice guy though.
Great class and teacher. I hated math before I took Professor Ahads class. He is a great teacher very thorough and if you need help during the lecture or after class he works with you until its understood. Homework isnt that bad its all online which is great and convenient. Take this course youll love it.
He runs through the powerpoints really fast. There is literally no time to write anything down. He really rushes to get through the material. He uses Pearson for the hw so if you hate Pearson just don't do hw and he'll use your average test score as the hw grade. Not all tests are multiple choice and you won't get full credit if you don't show work

Would NOT take again. He is a pretty nice guy most of the time but he treats his students as if they are in middle school. Puts you on the spot, he will scream and tell you to stop doing something that he doesn't like in front of the whole class. He does NOT explain well. If you're great at math & have no problems teaching yourself go for it!
I never understood math too Well until I had him. He explained every section step by step which made it so clear and easy. Best math teacher in my life.
I went in having a pretty good knowledge of this subject to start so it was pretty easy. His lectures move kind of quickly and get frustrated when you don't understand. Often makes mistakes in his examples, but he corrects them.

The class itself was pretty simple. Dr. Ahad is a nice guy but he often makes mistakes and gets an attitude when people point them out or express confusion. Sometimes hard to understand accent. He is also very forgetful. Took M70 and M102 with him two semesters in a row and he told me he'd never seen me before. Can easily pass if you read.

I hate algebra in general. the teacher is kind of hard to understand but his technique is understandable. Homework is done on-line. I would recommend to use Symbolab for better explanation of math problems.
If you are good at Math, he is fine to take. However if you need help don't. He can not help you with the online homework. He is confusing when he tries to explain things. If math is easy for you, he's fine to take, Otherwise, don't.

He lectures directly from the book by just using the examples from the chapter, so do not expect a lot of examples. He moves through the lectures fast. Mylab is not needed. No homework just practices tests and chapter test, but they are not easy. As soon as class starts, his lectures starts. Not serious about being on time. No study guides.
I'm not good at Math. I took Ahad in Math 70 and Math 102. I passed Math70 and absolutely FAILED Math102. You have to teach yourself math. Plan a total of 6 hours each day to teach yourself. Online homework is a joke. Tests are easy, but they're short, 5 or 10 questions long. Show your work you will get points. He gets his own problems wrong... -_-

I am not good at math.. AT ALL. but this class is passable as long as you take really good notes and is willing to put in A LOT of effort. he lectures straight out of the book with ppt. do your homework online! they will help you out on the quizzes a lot and you will need it because the quizzes are only 4 questions with no extra credit question.
I would admit that he was hard and I almost quit. But he is an old school professor. Doesnt allow cheat sheet at ALL! But that means practice harder! He doesnt complicates things, College Algeb is just full of formulas and steps. So better memorized and familiarize. His quizes online will help but he will use your quizes grades as ur grades there

Took during quarantine Zoom only, thats the only way I probably passed with an A. Homework assignment every other week. Group lab work (awkward with zoom), quizzes, a midterm, final. Said we didnt need the textbook in the beginning than later brought it up why no one had it. No camera but complained when students didnt have it on. Pay attention

Dr ahad tbh is underated I had him for physical science and math 102 dispite him being abit hard to understand he is caring and wants you to pass if you go through the osd office he can allow you to send late work through his email he is decent at his job would take him again if needed to.
Professor Ahad was a very nice professor but his lectures were hard to understand. They were based off a PowerPoint and unfortunately it was hard to get clarification. Make sure you study for the tests but he did give plenty of time for Labs and Tests nothing was a surprise. If you miss even one class you will miss out on so much information.

Nothing wrong with that, but the first month you'll be trying to learn how he speaks more than your precal homework. He'll try to help you out where he can, but he won't go above and beyond. Just do the homework and study in order to pass.
Besides the heavy accent after a bit, it got easier. If you read the textbk and follow along with his lectures using your textbook and do the homework it's easy. He is caring and understanding as long as you try and show up. There are a lot of practice tests and tests but in the end, he drops your lowest which helps a lot. But he's not for everyone
Dr. Ahad is great, I took Math 115 last semester. He provides lecture notes to help you follow along in class so you aren't spending the entire time taking notes. He is also very good at explaining concepts, and prepares you for exams. As someone who is normally awful at math, he is a great professor and helpful.
Easy Class, just read the book he recommends. Not a harsh grader, whatever is on the quiz and tests is always probably the most easiest questions in the unit. But you want to learn something from his lectures? Goodluck. HIGHLY RECOMMEND TAKING HIS COURSE FOR AN EASY A!
Dr. Ahad is easy, helpful, clear and wonderful professor. He cares more about you actually learning, tests are based on what's taught in class. Always available for office hours. He even posts his lecture PowerPoints on Canvas, which is very helpful; easy A.
Professor Ahad is overall a great math instructor. With lecture notes and textbook readings, the course is manageable. Staying engaged and using study aids like Unstuck study help prepare for tests. Definitely recommend this class.
Professor Ahad is clearly a good guy, and he knows his subject. But he is very hard to understand with a heavy accent, no shame to him for that though. He does teach very quickly and it is hard to get good feedback from him during lecture. I recommend visiting him 1 on 1 if you need help. With that said though, I like the guy a lot, he's cool.
The professor is very hard to understand at times, but he makes his lectures very easy to understand. As someone who struggled with math, I was able to understand half of it. I would def recommend this class. It's impossible to fail. Just do your work.
Genuinely a nice guy. Yes he has a strong accent but you get used to it after a while. The class was fairly easy the quizzes and tests were difficult but just study. The lectures are hard to follow but ask questions and he will go over anything you ask because he actually cares and will take the time to do it so don't be shy. Not a stressful class.
