He is a great professor. Will answer any questions. A very smart man who knows what he is taking about and will explain something until it is fully understood. Understands the value of being able to listen to lectures and not just trying to keep up with notes. I recommend taking any math related course with him, you will get a lot out of it.

Professor Andre is an excellent teacher. His presentations and speech are clear. He is extremely helpful and dedicated to helping you succede. Seeing him during his office hour is a smart idea if youre like me and have problems with math. I actually enjoyed his class and I dislike math.

He is a very nice man. A little confusing, but if you ask him to clarify, he will. If you have a hard time in math, I wouldn't suggest taking him. However, if math comes pretty easily to you, you should take him because he is very nice, and I think he really cares about his students.

Instruction for this class is not done out of the book. Homework is assigned but methods shown in class where sometimes different then the text. This teacher was able to keep the subject interesting and allows time to answer any questions. He is also lenient when it comes to homework and testing.

I am terrible at math and have an extremely difficult time understanding a lot of it but Professor Andre explains everything in a way that even someone like me can understand and when someone doesn't get it he'll explain it as many times as is necessary until they get it.

The best math professor I ever had. he's totally patient with students having trouble with math. He will make sure that you understand math for he just loves math. Either if you like or not math he is the BEST.

Excellent teacher! He has had all kinds of adventurous experiences, so he tells great stories. Make sure you take good notes in this class and do all of your homework. On the harder tests, he will let you use a 3x5 card with any notes you want on it. Don't be afraid to bug Andre with e-mails. He always replies back ASAP.

A very nice guy, but a very bad calculus teacher! Disorganized, antsy, and doesn't seem to know how to teach it. Spends most of time teaching theory, not showing how to do problems. Tests are very hard with problems that were nothing like what is in homework. Had to add points to tests to keep entire class from failing. Take Barcellos or Deleon!!!

Andre was the best math teacher I have ever had!I'm horrible with math and he was so clear about the subject and so incredibly helpful I did really well in the class. I actually started to think I might be good at math after all! I highly recommend this teacher.

BEST PROF EVER!!! he is so sweet and very helpful. he loves math and does everything he can for his students to make sure they understand the material. youll need the book for homework but most of it is online. i barely did the homework and he gives late passes plus i got As on all the tests. TAKE HIM!!

He is fair and compassionate, he teaches by using concept math which helps if you really just don't get it. For some people, that can be really confusing. He has a lot of energy and truly loves math which makes the class easier.

I think Professor Paul Andre is a wonderful teacher! You can tell he is really engergetic and makes the class not so boring. He's very passionate about math. He made learning fun and easy. I failed math, but when I took his class I understood everything he was teaching so you should really take him for math!

He is a hard grader. He is a nice guy, but I struggeled in his class. If you are good at math he is good but if you are not a math person not so good.I show up everyday do all the homework and fail the tests and yes I study. He tries to help but explains things the same way twice.

If you like the lecture type teachers, then he's the teacher for you. He explains everything in detail so that you can try to understand it. Take plenty of notes and practice problems and you'll understand where he's getting at. Great teacher and very energetic

Good teacher. He is veryyyy helpful and open to answer any questions that you have. Mostly online homework, and a few written ones out of the book. People say he is hard on his grading but I didnt think he was. Very good professor and I would recommend him.

Geometry can be difficult for non-spatial learners. I wasn't very good in high school but avg a high B going into the final. I really study hard, did all the homework, planned study groups, and managed an A. Use his office hours and form a group. I was horrible at proofs but great at Trig. Things made more sense at the end when I went to office hours. Also, he gives you a 3x5 notecard (page for final) for every exam. He's had great energy and enthusiasm!

Prof. Andre is well versed in math and is excited about teaching. He is very animated and funny (even when he's not trying). I learned so much more in this class than I did when I took Math 1000 without an instructor. I would certainly recommend him as a teacher.

He is a wonderful person. I believe this semester was his first semester teaching calculus 2 but he did a great job. He got confused a few times but he loves math and transfers the same feeling to his students. I liked his class a lot!

Such a great professor, and I have been known to hate math. Do the homework, it helps you study. Show up to class. Ask questions. He'll help you before moving on with material. Easy to talk to, understand, knows his stuff. Available to help after class. The book is great too. Online math homework is very helpful. Second course taken with him.:)

Paul was an energetic and entertaining person. He constantly checked with the class for level of comrehension and would take a lot of time to address people's questions. The class was a lot of information but he was superb. A fair amount of homework but the online math lab gave you so many ways to find help (video links, solving a similar problem).

I hate math & failed this class previously with another teacher. Prof. Andre is extremely nice & helpful. He takes as much time as needed to review questions & he is funny which made class exciting. Not a lot of homework, so I was always able to study for the exams and complete the "study guide" problems he assigned.

Great professor. Makes everything easy to understand and goes over the homework everyday and answers all questions students have. Will help you with anything you don't understand. I LOVE THIS PROFESSOR. He is so passionate about math! This is his second time teaching calculus 2, so he is a little shaky, but by far surpass other math teachers who have been teaching this subject for years. He is so energetic! Also, he allows extra time after class to finish the exam, and he also allow a whole binder paper of notes. Take him!

Professor Andre is so full of life. He seems to enjoy what he does. He is super funny, telling us how he almost died stories. He takes the whole class time to teach, so don't expect getting out early.

A couple chapters in Calc 2 is just plain hard regardless of who you take. Andre is nice, helpful, and energetic. Tests aren't too bad and he grades really easy. There were times when he got a little lost, maybe cuz he only taught 401 a couple times.

Professor Andre is one of the best professors that you can possibly take for math. I don't like math, but thanks to him, he made it very easy for me. One of the few instructors that has a passion for what he teaches, and it shows. He is TOTALLY there for his students; will dang near beg you to come to his office for extra help (marvel at his math art). Keeps you interested and has tons of energy. Very quirky, and fun. You can tell Andre wants everyone to pass. This is the only professor I know who cared so much that he got mad at the class for not asking questions when everyone wasn't doing well. He assigns online homework which isn't much helpful to me. Other than that he grades fairly and he always offer office hours.

Professor Andre is amazing! He always tells students, "I'm here for YOU"! His love for math shines through his teaching and I found this to be very helpful. He is very in tune with his students. I appreciated that he would scan the room to make sure everyone was with him. Don't use your phone in class! Overall, he is great. I would take him again.

Prof Andre was a very nice professor, his classes were great and fun. His lectures were understanding, and I was surprised at how much he was willing to help out his students. He tries his best to make the classes light and comical. Never have I met a person who loves Math this much. If you take him, you really won't regret it. Just don't be lazy.

He is very nice like a person. He would try to help you always. He is very emotional and you couldn't sleep on this class. BUT his explanations is also emotional. sometimes hard to catch the point . often do not give the exact answer on questions(feels like he don't understand what do u want). but if you not lazy u'll pass this class.

He's a great teacher, but the subject is hard. He does what he can to make lectures interesting. He assigns regular homework which is online on MyMathLab and written homework due on test days. He loves when you take advantage of office hours! Also don't be afraid to ask questions, he only wants to help!

Professor Andre has so much energy. I love this guy because he runs from board to board, cracks jokes, never comes in in a bad mood, even when nobody does the homework. He's really supportive, works around everybody's schedule, and paces the class right, speeding up where people understand and slowing down where they don't. A must take if you care.

easy class. Not much diff than 100. He moved so much slower than I would of liked. Mathlab nightly HW. Very energetic. Tests on everything he teaches. Seriously guys, SUPER EASY PROF AND CLASS. If u fail with Andre, that's your fault. Only issue is Im an A student, when I had questions, he ignored me and paid attention to those with Fs. Ridiculous.

Excellent professor! His lessons are very clear and easy to follow along with. He is always available to help. Try not to miss class, as attendance matters. The tests are straight forward, so if you paid attention in class, you will do well. I would definitely recommend him!

Honestly, if you hate math this is for you. Tired of instructors just doing the problems on the board. He teaches you why you should. He gives examples and makes it more like an English subject. He writes in different colors and won't move on until the class understands. He has humor. The HW load is manageable. Grab this math course while you can.

He actually cares about his students which is very rare for professors. The class is up to you because you have to study in order to pass the class, don't expect to pass with no studying done. He spends a decent portion of class time helping students on homework problems which is awesome. He's funny, always energetic, and ready to teach.

Math dyslexics, sign up! He will go over a concept 60 times without frustration! He pushes back class homework due dates if the class struggles. Make up work available. He shows different ways to do a problem and you pick the one you connect me. He helped me realize math is not hard. He remembers faces and actually cares if you struggle!

Andre is the Bill Nye of math. He's a charming, funny, nerdy man. I hate math and it doesn't come easy to me, but I enjoy his classes most of the time. He is usually easy to follow, and always ready to go over any questions. Bonus: He tells interesting stories. I hope to get into his Math120 class in the fall.

I struggled with math and got frustrated with how other math teachers taught. Andre helped me realize that math wasn't a bad thing. He helped me understand and remember more. He's VERY helpful when you need help. If you push yourself to memorize the material, don't miss lectures, and put forth the effort-you will pass. :) I highly recommend him.

Professor Andre is a wonderful teacher! Instead of just telling you the steps to do because they work, he takes the time to explain why they work and the idea behind mathematical operations. Prof. Andre explains Math in a clear easy to understand way, He does want things to be shown in an algebra way and my brain doesn't always jump to that and he explains how to do it the right way

Great teacher. Always has a story to tell to a class. Online homework, 1-2 assignments on the day of a class. 5 tests in total, if you prepare for the test, easy B or an A.

I really appreciate teachers that know their subject and love teaching their subject. There is online homework and in class assignments due on test days, but as long as you do them you'll be fine. You're allowed a couple late, online homeworks too. He cares about his students and also has some pretty interesting stories.

Professor Paul Andre was honestly the best professor I've had at ARC so far. People usually rate easy professors who give easy As with high ratings because they just want to pass and not actually learn the material (especially at ARC). However, this professor wants you to learn so you actually succeed in life, not just float-by. Best professor!!

Professor Andre is one of the most caring and amazing math professors I have ever had. He LOVES the subject so much that he quit his job at NASA to obtain a degree in math and he even taught math in Africa. He makes sure to be there for his students and I have so much love and respect for him. He is truly a gem that must be protected at all costs.

Professor Andre made Precalculus (370) bearable and comprehendable. The homework is online, and he always gives study guides for the tests. There are several extra credit opportunities throughout the semester. He makes a huge effort to ensure his students are prepared for calc i and ii. He holds lots of study sessions outside of class. 10/10

I was dissapointed to see as many negative reviews for prof Andre in regards to MATH 120. Math 120 is like Algebra II- something i failed in high school. He taught it in such a cohesive and engaging way that if you pay attention and follow along, you. will. learn. Just try to limit your bathroom breaks or absences as you may miss some material.

Professor is very nice and always gets a laugh in during class with his students. Everyone wants an easy A without doing any work based on his reviews. Yes there is a medium amount of hw but its all so easy. Tests as literally based off of the same homework questions. Nothing to complain about :)

There are a lot of homework assignments, about one due every two days, but he will usually extend due dates when coming close to the weekends or holidays. Prof. Andre is an amazing professor. He has awesome ways of remembering certain thms and posts., and has lots of funny math jokes. He keeps the class interesting and welcoming. I took this course online over zoom while caring for 4 children and hadn't took math in 16 years and I passed with flying colors, This guy is def. a gem. 100 stars!

I like Professor Andre. I am not a math major and normally hate math but in his class things were able to click for me. He taught in a way that made sense. I visited his office hours a lot and that was also really helpful. He is a nice guy. I did have to buy the online homework software ($$) which does take a while to complete but was helpful.

Took this class physically in Fall 2021. All homework is done online with MyLab access purchase. IMO, way too many and also long homework assignments, and it's only worth 15% of your grade. The rest 85% comes from 5 exams, and also the final. Lowest exam gets dropped. Absolutely no cheesing this class, you must pace yourself and keep up always.

Prof Andre is a great professor. It is refreshing to see someone so passionate about what they teach. He was always so excited about math and that made the class more engaging. The only thing I didn't like was he does not input grades into Canvas so I was always kinda wondering what my grade was.

In the beginning of the semester, I was a wreak in this class. I almost dropped out of college cause of how hopeless it seemed. But thanks to him, I was able to pull myself up. From his office hours, and his responses online. I was able to make it through. Take him if you can, you won't regret it. It's such a shame that he will be retiring soon :(

I was scared about taking this class, but prof. Andre was great and he is always willing to help. He's very passionate about math, his exams weren't too long and he allows for retakes but just a few problems. I really enjoyed his class and I appreciated his work!

Uses mostly prewritten HW problems for lecture, occasionally white board work; mostly works on HW examples. He is very responsive and cares. You can have extra time after class to take tests. Lecture notes available on Canvas. His class format is not super structured but his enthusiasm makes up for it. TY Professor. Happy retirement!

Seems passionate about teaching as well as mathematics. And it shows in his lessons, lectures, and curriculum. Available to students. I took two classes with him early in my mathematics pursuit. And glad I did as I might not have made it this far without such a solid beginning and encouragement. Also has a sense of humor; which is lovely in math.

Took this professor for 2 classes. Online & onsite. Rare professor that masters the art of teaching; not just their subject. It shows. He also understands some students are working towards higher math; others just trying to get through required classes. And he caters his teaching to meet the needs of individual students. Supportive & inspiring.

Professor Andre is engaging and passionate about math. The homework can be intensive, but he's happy to help. Using Unstuckstudy and the free textbook made studying much easier. Overall, a challenging yet rewarding course if you stay on top of the work.
