I struggle with Math on a regular basis but this teacher is there to help. He is clear about what will be on the test and really cares about helping his students pass. Take him, even if you hate math!

After getting used to the accent, he's a very good teacher. He gives a lot of examples and tests aren't that hard. Final really easy cause he gives a review on identical questions.

Once you get passed his thick accent you'll realize he's a great prof. His tests are related to his notes and the book wasnt really needed and he gives no HW. You do have to work in his class though, but thats just it; if you do the work you are sure to pass. Highly recommend..

I GOT AN A in math...He is an excellent teacher and knows how to teach the subject...He has a heavy accent but once you understand him it will all make sense...He lets you retake one of the tests which allows you to get a higher grade....TAKE HIM!!!!

Go to class. he will recognize that. He gives you a review before the test. Be there for the reviews. Study and its an A. He is fair. Oh and you do get used to his accent. I like him.

If you're not good at math he explains step by step so you won't get loose and if you're really good at it don't worry he doesn't overwork problems if he sees that the class got it... you u won't waste any time. He does has an accent but really easy to get used too. Take him!

Prof. A is great! He explains math in a way that makes you really understand it & not just memorize it. I did have however a similar incident of miscounting the points of my test and getting a lower grade.I am confident however, that I am moving on to the next math class with a strong base with his teachings. I recommend him highly.

His accent will throw you off easily. However, he goes over the concepts over and over until everyone understands, so his accent is meaningless. He's a great teacher. He doesn't take attendance, but doesn't have a set syllabus so you have to go to class to know what's on the test. Easy class, you don't really need the book.

Best math teacher I ever had! If you really suck at math like I do, TAKE HIM! I got an A too! He goes over the concepts slowly and really in depth. You don't need the book. Just copy his notes and examples. He even gives you a study guide before the tests. Study and go to class, and you'll do great! DEFINITELY RECOMMEND!!!!!

THE BEST. PHD in Mathematics from UM and he is a Genius. So easy to understand and he teaches you all the shortcut in Maths. Must attend review because 95% of the questions shows up in the exam. Got an A and will take him for all maths class foward. Attendance not mandatory but you will lose out because of his teaching style. No Text book req'd.

Prof. Anthappan is the best math teacher I have ever had. I have struggled with math my entire life and he has taught me so much. Hes fantastic. If math is not your subject he is the guy for you. TAKE HIM TAKE HIM TAKE HIM. He has his PhD from UM he knows what he is doing. Best math prof ever.

Very nice and caring professor. Really cares about students learning the content. He tries to ensure everyone is one the same page and ask questions along the way. Tries to get the weakest students up to par. He does this in a non embarrassing way. Teached easy problems to gauge class readiness. The book was not needed.

HE IS AMAZING. he does have an accent but he goes into deep detail and explanation. he is very through and helpful. if you are not good in math... take him he is the BEST. he gives u a review for what will be on the tests. and his class is only based on 4 tests. NO HW. HE IS AWESOME.

He has to be my favorite Mathematics professor to date. I suck at math, and yet I got a B in this course , and I understood everything. Any time im going to take a math class, I check to see if he is teaching, because I will get myself anywhere to be in his class. He may have a very unique accent, but that wont matter if you pay attention.

Hes a really good teacher, explain everything in an easy way, always have shorcuts, no homeworks! he just check test which are extremelly easy! DONT BUY HIS BOOK! Hes accent is not that bad. I Got an A! This is the easiest math teacher I ever had!

Prof. Anthappan was awesome. I took MAT1033 2 other times and failed. This was my first time taking it with him and I passed. He is extremely detailed when explaining. I would HIGHLY recommend him.

He has a strong accent, but you get used to it. he moves quickly through material, however, very thorough. just practice the material and it should be an easy A. he has many random funny moments. and i agree with the others, don't get the textbook... the guy is a walking book himself.

He's great,but not if ur weak at math. U need to know MAT0024.Reviews some of it, but U need to have skills. Does not use the book-don't buy it.This is bad if u need extra help.Gives a review before each test for extra credit,but does not go over it after.Is generous with testscores. He is a wonderful teacher, and very knowledgeable. He is a walking text book. I dropped his class only because I was taking Chemistry, which was very overwhelming together with his math class. Gives partial credit on tests. Excellent teacher, and will repeat anything that you don't understand. I recommend him totally

Phenomenal teacher. Shows you an easy problem first then makes it gradually harder. No homework. No text book. Just a identical test review. I have nothing bad to say about him at all. The only thing is the only thing your grade is based off of is the tests. which he does give partial credit for. but by far my favorite teacher ever.

For folks like me who find math such as this difficult, it would be advisable to take this class with him. He teaches step by step and puts it all together which helps the student to learn and understand. No one dropped his class and I have taken all Math classes with him.You wont regret it.

Very intelligent. Explains everything in detail. Tests are not multiple choose and are very challenging... (except the final.) I dropped his class due to personal reasons, but would take him again if there are spots open.

Anthappan is a very good teacher, but the subject is a bit difficult. He has an indian accent that is a little hard to understand at first.He gives test reviews a day or two before the test that are identical to the real exam except for a few slight changes so just study those and you'll be good, oh and dont buy the book because he never uses it.

Does not use book. 4 exams (last one is final) gives reviews that match the test EXACTLY. he does a great job at explaining and gives plenty of examples. I suck at math and got a B+ (would have gotten an A, if I didnt mess up on the logs exam)

Hands down!!ONE OF THE BEST MATH PROFESSORS IN BROWARD COLLEGE. This guy can teach like a pro. You will understand everything he teaches and you will love math. He gives you review questions for the tests and the test are just like the review questions with different numbers. Gives extra credit for every test!! You will love this guy and algebra!!

Professor Anthappan, is very good, I have to say YOU CANNOT miss his class or you will be lost. I passed with an A but I had to study. There is no HW just review his notes which you will have PLENTY! He doesn't like to be interrupted but overall I recommend him. You don't necessarily need the book.

OK, so it wasn't super easy but the man knows how to explain math pretty well, this was my second time taking this class and I understood way better than previous teacher. My only problem is that he waits too long to give tests which means you will forget half of the stuff by the time the 1st test comes around. If you try hard, you will pass.

Was never very good at math. Failed college algebra first attempt. This professor is very good at what he does, he has a doctorate in math, with that was able to give us easier formulas that the book did not even mention. I would highly recommend.

Amazing professor, took for MAT1033 as well. As long as you attend class and go over your notes you cannot fail! Gives a review which is EXACTLY like the test, study and do it 3 times and you will get A's on all tests! Gives what's on the final! If you are weak at math he is the one to take. I love this professor!

The best teacher ever. I took him for MAC1033, got an A , could have gotten an A on MAC1105 but got brain blog in exams.Explains so even a 1st grader could understand. The text book is not used in class even though hes suggests homeowrk which he never checks. Just practice what he gives in class and you will be O.K

All I can say is that out some all other professors, this one is Top notch and great quality! He will go over the material and help you to understand. He sometimes give Extra Credit Opportunities on Test which is Very Helpful. You will not be dissapointted. Take him You will learn a lot.

He is the best Math teacher at Broward College. He breaks down problems so that a Kindergarten would understand. I would recommends him for any class. A very good teacher!!! Awesome!!!

Very long exams. Nice teacher, very polite and helpful. Homework, class participation. Indian accent, but you can understand him. He makes sure that everybody understands his class. I am terrible in math and was very scared of the class, but he helped me a lot and I got a B.

At first he's hard to understand but you get use to it. He tries to make math as easy to understand as possible. If you put forth effort he'll help you out. 4 exams, lets you retakes exams except final. If you suck at math, take him!

Anthappan is by FAR the BEST professor in BC. Ive taken him twice already and he has been extremely helpful from the get go. Cares about his students learning and will even stop his lecture if he feels like one of his students does not understand because he wants everybody on board with learning. I never leave comments but will for Dr. Anthappan

Hands down best math instructor ever! To some he is a little hard to understand at first, but by the end of the first class, you'll be amazed by his ability to teach in an engaging way. Wish I applied myself more, I would have had a better grade.

This guy is a wonderful professor, albeit his accent. He's from India, but he really engages you to his teachings. Explains everything very well, and i hate math, but he makes statistics look sooo easy. The first test i probably failed it, but that's my fault (i only studied 2 days). Practice the problems and study study and u will do go on tests!

Dr. Anthappan is BY FAR the best professor I have ever taken. He cares about his students learning the material and makes it as easy to understand as possible. If you are bad at math i strongly recommend taking him. Very funny as well and lets you retake your worst test. You wont regret it.

At first his accent made it difficult to understand him, but after i got used to it cause it's MATH. his tests are exactly like the study guide but he takes FOREVER to grade them. Always gives extra credit!!! & he's hilarious in his own weird way.. LOL Math is never fun, but he's cool. if youre impatient about your grades then you'll get frustrated

He's awesome. Amazing at explaining things the first time; not great at explaining things the second time. Could be hard to understand because of Indian accent. Four tests that look exactly like the reviews. If you take him: show up, sit up front, listen hard, and study. If you take good notes and study well you should be certain of a good grade.

EASIEST STATS PROFESSOR AT BC. I got a B in College Algebra with him and an A in Stats. His Indian accent is not that hard to understand. There are 4 tests and 1 makeup chance. He doesn't really respond to emails so if you want to see him, go to him beforeafter class. There was no formal review for Stats, he just tells you what to study.

Professor Anthappan is an amazing Professor. He really cares about his students and is willing to work with every pupil to ensure success as long as you are willing to work and study the material. While the curriculum was not easy, he has an art in explaining mathematical concepts allowing even the most weekest of math students to understand.

Great professor. Very clear & shows u every step of the process. His notes are what u will need on the test & he will tell u what will be on it. Need to memorize formulas & definitions but if u study ahead of time u will do good. Extra credit saved me! Sit on the front! NO book needed, saved $130! Watch for previous test formulas needed on the next

Professor Anthappan is awesome. He is able to teach clearly and shows you easier more time efficient ways to solve a problem. I took him for two semesters and he is by far the best professor I've ever have. He gives you ten extra credit point per test. Doesn't require you to do ALEKS, book isn't necessary, and gives reviews for test and final.

He is an amazing teacher take him you will not regret it. great teacher, very good at explaining material. If you miss class you have to get notes from a class mate. notes are what saves you in the tests. gives extra points on tests if you turn in all the homework. saves you money, does not require you to buy any books. just a scantron for the final.

Algebra is not easy, but if you practice his lecture at least twice a week you should be perfectly fine and by the way he doesn't use book

He is a very good teacher. He doesnt teach by the textbook, he gives you problems on the board and show you easier ways of solving them. You must attend class because there is no other way of learning the material. There are 3 test, light homework, and a final. His accent is difficult to understand at first, but you get used to it.

I DETEST math!!! I have no care or passion for math, his class was VERY easy, his lectures can be lengthy but very thorough so being in class is IMPORTANT. Take GOOD notes, as his exams are very similar to them. You'll get over the accent, he's very knowledgeable. I hadn't taken math over 5yrs and passed w/ him :) he drops the lowest grade.

this was one of my favorite teachers i have taken at froward college, if you don't show up, he will have no remorse for you. but if you show up and try he will help you to the best of his ability. highly recommend!

Professor A. Was a joy to take. Ive always been terrible at math but he actually takes the time to explain the material. No books necessary for this class!

I took 3 math classes with Paul he is awesome take him. you won't regret it.

GO TO CLASS. He teaches in such a way that you actually learn & understand Statistics. I am THE worst when it comes to any type of math. I was scared to take Statistics based on horror stories I've heard about how hard the content is in general. Trust me, you'll learn from him & he breaks it down in the simplest form.

Professor Paul is great. He has a tendency to gear his lessons to the brightest kids in class, which is good but can create an intimidating atmosphere. His problem sets and tests are very hard, but he curves fairly. On the whole he is an engaging, excited, funny teacher who makes math exciting.

I have never had such an amazing professor he was always ready to teach and never wasted our time. This man really cared about us passing and made sure that everyone understood the material. He could tell when somebody was confused and helped them immediately. As long as you take notes and study them you will pass I promise. He knows how to teach.

I must say I was a little skeptical in the beginning of the semester but I am glad I stayed. He makes math easy. He made sure that we learned something everyday. He didn't move forward unless he felt like the whole class was comfortable. So caring, understanding and compassionate about math. Just come to class everyday, take your notes do the hw.

I failed MAT1033 my first time with another professor. Im not really the best at math but Anthappan made math so easy to understand and if you dont understand hell make the effort to teach you. Hes very caring and wants the best for all his students, just make sure youre in class to learn not to play around and He can be quiet funny sometimes.

Course might start off overwhelming but he does notice the effort you put in. If you show up to class and try your hardest, you CANT fail. Would 100% take a class with him again.

He does have bit of an accent so it can be a little hard to understand however, his class is easy but it's not blended so if you skip a class you better have someone else's number from the class to get the notes, because all his exams are from the notes he gives homework from the notes also, this class is really easy and doesn't use a textbook.

I actually had Professor Anthappan a while back but I was so pleased with his class that I said to myself I had to leave a review however late it might be lol. He is one of the best professor I've ever had in Broward College. He is patient,caring and made sure we understood the material which was tough. He's amazing! I don't like math but got an A!

Stat2023 online. I am horrible at math. Extremely horrible. However this Professor was amazing. He went step by step and did not move on until you grasp the concept. He teaches for his weakest students so if you are horrible at math like I am then this is the class for you. No textbook required. No expensive calculator either. Caring Professor.

This is one of the best professor I've had. I took him over 2 years ago but I had to come back to say Mr Paul is amazing. He's old school everything was done on the board, I'm not great at math but he made stats so clear He makes sure he explains really well and makes us participate. He gives homework, easy tests for I understood the material well.
