He is a good teacher. The best part about his class is that you don't need to buy the book. However, your attendance is mandatory to pass the class. If you miss class, you miss alot of his notes. He teaches with clarity, and anyone would be able to understand MAC 1105, even an elementary student. He also gives great reviews before each exam. GOOD!

OMG i thought i was never going to pass mat1033 until i met this professor. His accent is a little rough but don't worry it's easy to understand. He teaches his class to u as if you were 2 years old. he wants all his students to pass and doesn't care how long it takes you to actually understand what he is teaching. Before i took him, i dropped mat0020 twice. I took him for mat0020, 1033 amd mac 1105 and passed without any difficulty. Great professor. Great test reviews and all around helpful professor.

He is a really good teacher the only bad part about him is that he has a really bad ascent and it's really hard to understand his language cause he mixed everything, but he does a lot of examples so that you could guide yourself in the homework time.

Business Cal is soo hard but he will make you understand.He has a lot of office hours so use them. Do not take this class once a week if you have other classes that are just as hard.He gives lots of extra credit and gives a make up at the end of the term

i would recommend any students in north campus to take him since there is not that many well talented teacher at this campus.the mac 1147 it's a extremely hard class but with his teaching you will do awesome, recommend to read the book since he gives you some question on it that are already made for you.But do not worry you always have review.

I thought I couldnt pass Calculus for business I have attempted several times with different professors and couldn't pass until I took it with professor Anthappan. He is the best teacher, make sure to study all his notes for the exams, there are no surprises, if you study his in class notes you will pass. I didn't even use the text book.

This professor is amaaaaazing. The way he explains the material, he makes it so easy to understand. Forget the text book Mr. Anthappan has his own methods and it makes way more sense then text book latin. I got a B in Macc 1105, Iam terrible in math, but with him I get it and kinda growin a liking for it. TAKE HIS CLASS!!!!!!!!!

If you want to pass math 1033 and 1105 just remember the name Paul Anthappan. I have several thing on my plate, no time to study and I took this professor twice and I was never disappointed. Statistics is not an easy course and he tells you the first day of class so you may know what you are getting yourself into before it's too late. He's a gr8 professor he knows his math and he will tell you that once you start the class. Statistics is a hard course period but if you try he will help you pass the class because he wants his sudent to pass wih a good grade. Take him if you want to pass :)

This professor was by far the best math teacher I have ever had. If you are suffering and not good at math this is the Doctor that will cure your disease. He has two Doctorate degrees in Math and Physics and can get a job anywhere paying $300,000 a year or more but that's not what he wants! He really likes being at a college with the largest diversity in the world. If you care he cares!

Exams are based on the study guide/review, so how can you go wrong? He is very clear on how to solve problems and explaining the methods. The professor is very lenient.

This teacher is truly GOD's gift to every student struggling with math in college. He goes over and beyond for all of his students. He gave 4 exams and even a chance to makeup your lowest exam score. Best math teacher ever! He's really there for you if you need help. Doesn't make you buy a text book and explains things thoroughly. Mr. Anthappan doesn't want to fail you! He gives 10 extra credit points for first 3 exams; do his hw! Lets you use a calculator on all exams. Only 4 grades for his class: 3 exams and a final; each worth 25%.

Just make sure when you learn something you don't forget it and you'll past with an A. He gives homework everyday (very easy) which is like 2 or 3 questions then he collects it when he gives a test. There's only three test and a final he lets you know two week ahead when you have a test and always gives a review. Fianl exam is test 2&3 together

Good professor, knows his stuff. He wants all of his students to pass but he makes you work for it. He doesn't allow you to use your notes which sucked because there are so many formulas to remember in Mac1105. He gives extra points on tests which really helps. No textbook required, I passed with a B but it wasn't easy, required a lot of studying.

I really loved Professor Anthappan's teaching style. He teaches with great passion and is very smart. Keep in mind that it's a tough subject to take in 6 weeks. It's really important that you give yourself time to study and learn the material. Grateful to have taken this course with professor Anthappan.

I would consider myself one of those students who skipped plenty of classes and then show up to wing it on a test. Ever since i got into Mr Anthappan's class, i had to change my direction. His class is hard but rewarding. While other math teachers try to teach you out of the book, Paul taught us secrets and backdoor shortcuts. Great teacher.

Do yourself a favor and take this professor. I had the pleasure to take both MAT1033 (Fall; grade: A) and MAC1105 (Summer; grade: B). Professor Anthappan is really good at explaining the material covered in class. Take good notes and practice, practice, practice. You don't need a textbook. The only issue I had was there was always 1 problem that showed up on a test that we had not covered in class. Other than that, I would definitely take him again. Take him, you won't regret it.

Professor Paul is a wonderful teacher. He is very smart in math and in his words he hopes we love math because he has to retire one day. He is very sage and speaks only when needed, everything he says you need to listen closely because he was a very deep accent but you will get use to it after awhile.I would definitely take him again!

Prof. Anthappan is by far one of the best math professors I've ever had. A classmate I had in MAC1105 recommended him for STA2023 because the prof. we had for 1105 couldn't compare to Prof. Anthappan teaching skills. He is a very intelligent man who is determined to teach. There are 3 test, a Final, & makeup test. He gives 10 hw pts to each 2 test.

Great teacher. Took him for MGF1106 and it was super easy. He teaches in a way for you to understand and he won't go on until everyone does. Only thing I didn't like was he wasn't organized. No need to get the book. He gives reviews, all you gotta do is study the review and he'll give the same problems just different numbers. Over all I enjoyed.

This teacher really cares about his students understanding the material,and passing the class. The only thing is that you do what he says (like not copying the board when he says not to) and that you ASK IF YOU DON'T GET IT. He will stop and make sure you get it. He's a good professor very flexible. His class is pretty easy I would definitely take him again. Attendance is not mandatory, he gives extra credit for doing homework. He knows how to teach and makes it easy although sometimes he can be a little confusing.

Professor Anthappan really cares for his students and that they actually learn the material that he is teaching. He explains things step by step and if you don't understand something make sure to ask questions because he will gladly help you to understand. Make sure to follow instructions.

Easy A. Doesnt use textbook. Gives notes that are basically the same question on the test. Show & practice the notes/questions he gives in class and youll be fine. He also gives 10+ points after each test

I failed Matt 1033 twice before taking this professor. I suck at math. But prof. paul made math so easy a third grader can do it. He is the best. I took him for Mac 1105 and Statistics and passed both classes with an A+. 3 test, a final, and a makeup exam. H.W is extra credit. He drops the lowest grade. Must I say more? take him.

GREAT TEACHER: PROS: No book or online code (save $) Extra credit. Drops the lowest score. Explain things in a very clear manner. Plenty of Review before every test. CONS: Only issue is that he takes a little longer than usual to grade the tests. Other than that he is a great teacher, study all the notes, ask him anything and you should be fine.

Professor Anthappan is one of the best professors. Math has never ever been my strongest subject but he made every lesson clear, his tests aren't tricky, if you show up to class, copy his examples and study them you'll pass. His teaching styles help not only those have a good understanding of math but also to his weakest students.

If you are not good at math like me, this is the professor to take. He goes over everything as often as needed and he explains it in a really simple way. Only 4 exams including the final, no homework. The exams are based off lectures so make sure to attend class.

Great professor make learning easy if you don't understand the problem he's go over it until you do. Homework is extra credit, there are 4 exam with at least 13 questions you will have to solve it and show work. He do exam reviews so don't worry. If you do all your work and study you'll be fine.

I have failed Stats twice previously to taking it with Prof Anthappan. And wow, I am so proud to say that thanks to Prof A I passed this class with a B! I did not think I was going to be able to do it. You cannot take any other professor who will break it down and make STATS more preliminary and easy to understand like Prof A does.

He is one of the best professors at MDC. He can teach math a monkey I can swear! Its hard not to understand. There is no need to purchase a book or a code. You also dont need to complete lab hours. All you need to do is show up and do your homework, and you will not only pass but will also understand math!

Prof Anthappan is amazing!! I've taken 3 of his classes. He always says "this is the last time you'll take this class." And it's true! He doesn't use the book. His methods may be unorthodox but if you take the notes and do the homework you'll get an A on the test. He has an accent at first but just takes a week to get used to. Def recommend!

Professor Anthapan has been so far the best Professor I've had here in MDC. He cares for his students and what he lectures you is what you will get tested on (exact same thing). He is a great professor, slow pace for us that find math tricky. Homework problems per class, and one exam every 7 or so homework assignments. Very forgiving and kind.

this teacher is amazing. i did not like his attitude at first but then i noticed that he is like that. he explains with a lot of metaphors that makes it really easy to understand. i recommend taking him if you want to learn about math and pass.

If you hate math/was never good in math, this is the professor for you. I was out of school for over 22 years and was not good in math. Had to take MAT0028 again. Then took MAT1033. As long as you watch his lectures, take notes and do the homework, there is no way you will fail. He is a knowledgeable professor and I can respect him for that. However, the issue with taking him lies in how he sets up rules that are hard to follow. Please learn how to do College Algebra on your own time and beware of tests! It is very hard to reach him outside of class and he grades what he wants to grade. Take him in person instead.

Prof Anthappan was honestly better than the last teacher (wong) i took before him. He explains the course material in detail and even reviewed some easier math concepts before we began to learn intermediate algebra. The homework assignments weren't challenging and he allows retakes for students who may have missed one of the three tests given.

I was never really good at Math but his class was great. I know I passed but the grades haven't been published yet. He is very test heavy and that is the only thing carrying your grades unless you do the homework, which is 10 points added to your test grade. Be sure to take good notes and write things on the margins to help you remember the steps.

Great old school professor, we did not use a textbook the entire semester. Our study materials came from the notes we took in class; that's why attendance is important if not you'll be behind and your grade will show just like mine lol.
