This fellow is hilarious. Most entertaining prof. I've ever had. His tests can be confusing, but that's most likely because of all the stuff to remember.

This class is more like a comedy show. Show up and this should be an easy A.

A wonderful professor who makes biology anything but dull. Always available for help. He is willing to work with his students but this does not mean he is a pushover. Expects hard work and assurance that you understand the material. Attend every lecture and bring your workbook. HE IS AWESOME!

Subject matter is moderate in difficulty. Prof. Assanah makes the subject relevant and comprehensible. His down to earth personality makes the class entertaining at times. I would recommend taking BIO 1010 with him.

Wording of questions was difficult to understand. No free lunch here. Be prepared to work hard. Funny guy didn't dread going to class. If you need more attention than you're getting in class go to his tutoring sessions.

I really enjoyed this class. He taught right out of the condensed text and explained key elements until understood. Answered all questions as pertained to the class; he didn't over teach the subject. "There is a method to his madness"

Give these little quizzes Friday's do try not to miss class cause you need ALL the points you can get.Does not believe in extra credit so get everything done before hand.Great teacher!

Awesome teacher! I wish all my teachers were like him. He has all notes for you on blackboard. Classes can be difficult at times but he makes sure everyone gets it.Does not waste time so shut up and listen and ask questions.

Overall this was a fun and interesting class. Professor Assanah makes learning fun and rewarding. WOrk hard and do the assignments on time you will do great. Every point counts so make sure you do your best. Go to tutoring he offers and you will be fine.

If you do not really like biology you should really take his class because he will explain and help you to his get it. Be sure to get the condensed version book b/c he based his test questions on that book. He has a since of humor. All in all be sure to do all the online quizzes and do your best you will pass. One of the best Professors I have had for a science class. Breaks things down to a T and will not move on if you do not understand it. His explanations are very clear and he often uses great comparisons and metaphors to get you to understand things. His sense of humor keeps you from being bored. One of the funnist guys I Know! loved the class

He is AWESOME he helps students understand. I started with a C so I started going to tutoring every monday, he helped a lot. He also has lecture prep quizzes each week that are helpful, they give you practice for the exams. He is always willing to stop to make sure every one has a good understanding, I wish he taught other sciences at PGCC!

Professor Assanah is a very intriguing person. In this class there are no surprises. He lets you know any upcoming test or events. He also provides you with extra material to assist you in the class. This professor is great!

If you don't like Biology or science in general, take Prof. Assanah. He will make your experience in this class more interesting than the normal Biology class. The work load is the same as any other Biology class but Prof. Assanah will make sure you know the information if you just ask.

Best biology teacher I ever had!! He make sures everyone understands the lesson before moving on. He loves to make jokes so if youre a very serious person I wouldnt recommend. He also doesnt give hw, you have to retain the info on your own.

That man is wonderful. Every single student I talked to loved him, it was quite impressive. He was extremely helpful to me personally and he makes an effort to make SOME personal connection with each student. I've never felt more at home in a class. If you need BIO1010 take nobody but Assanah. You'll have fun, I guarantee it.

He does go pretty in depth in his labs and lectures. He will make sure you understand the material as long as you ask. Definitely keeps the lectures interesting and the class attentive. You will definitely need the condensed book to study from but that's really all you'll need. Great professor, great class.

Professor Assanah is a fast speaking, very comedic, intelligent, and helpful professor. He knows what he is teaching, therefore he really gets into his lectures (hence the fast speaking). When a student doesn't understand, he makes sure that EVERYONE understands. Make sure you are alert and prepared in class because everything is on his tests.

He has a great personality and incorporates that in his lectures. He is always joking around, but expects you to be able to switch gears and take the class seriously. He explains concepts really well.

There are four exams and they are all very difficult, and the questions can sometimes be confusing. Somethings on the tests he doesn't cover in the lecture so be prepared to do read in your free time. Besides that he's a very nice funny man who's very knowledgable on the topic. I wouldnt take this class if you want an easy A but he's a good teacher

Professor Assanah is one of the funniest and most out going professors I've ever experienced. While cracking jokes, he manages to make lectures and labs enjoyable. Information is up front and understandable. He will give the pages that you need instead of having you study info that you don't need . Very clear teaching approach. Recommended!!

Prof Assanah is awesome! I took his Bio 1010 and really miss that class. He is very helpful, but you need to show you care about your grade. He is very fun but also on task. I really wish he taught more classes as I would love to take him again. If you need 1010 at PGCC, take Prof Assanah or you'll miss out!

He has 4 exams. Exam 1 & 4 are the easiest but exam 2 is the hardest. He goes through the units very quickly. He does not give extra credit & you have to STUDY hard for your grade. Quizzes are easy if you READ. He drops the lowest two quizzes. He also gives an easy final presentation which salvages your grade. He is funny, but hard grader! GOODLUCK

Professor Assanah is hilarious and makes his lectures crystal clear! He uses a lot of powerpoint for his lectures but also uses the board if he needs to draw out anything that needs further explanation. Took him for BIO 1010 and got a B+. YOU MUST ATTEND LECTURE to pass any of his exams which are not super easy either. Awesome professor though!

Very professional and knowledgable. His grades are all based on Lab Quizzes and the Lecture Exams, so study hard for those. Hilarious.

His lectures were funny, his sense of humor interesting. He made lectures engaging but for the test you really have to take your time and read the questions carefully because you can get tripped up. All test are in the testing center except for the final. Good Luck and study !

I miss his class so much! He's such a jokester, he really makes you feel comfortable in his class. If you don't like him or didn't get a good grade in his class, then it's probably because YOU didn't put forth the effort. By far, he's the best bio professor I've ever had/ best professor overall.

Proffesor Assanah is AMAZING. I was skeptical about taking BIO1010 as my first dual enrollment class of high school but because of Prof. Assanah, I'll never regret it. He's very easy going and kind and ultimately, just wants the best for his students. He doesn't give out homework during the summer semester so that gives you plenty of time to study.

Professor Assannah is hilarious and you'll definitely laugh in his class. It is biology, so of course it's not the easiest class in the world, but he always makes sure we understand the material. If he makes a mistake on a test or a quiz, he always corrects it and gives back points. The lectures are long, but go by quickly when he's talking.

These are the professors that college students dream about. Bio is already a difficult subject but Professor Assanah gives amazing lectures that makes everything comprehendible his analogies help too. BUY THE BOOK his lectures literally follow along. Professor Assanah is a great professor, he keeps the class engaged with his jokes. BIO1050 is a difficult course only because it builds the foundation for BIO2050 so whatever you do please STUDY! He is lenient with some of his grading (like dropping your lowest quiz) because he really wants students to fully grasp the concepts, I recommend 100%!

I took Bio1050 and it was great class and the professor in very understanding and he make sure you understand the lecture and that really helped toward my understanding toward certain topics discussed. The key point to be able to pass is focus and listen during the class and do all the assignment or work.

I took this class during the 2022 Fall Semester, Professor Assanah is very knowledgeable about the course. He gives a fair number of assignments. He makes sure students understand his explanation before he moves on to the next chapter. He encourages students to ask questions when needed and kept a positive classroom climate.

The best professor I have ever had. He WANTS you to succeed. If you have difficulty in Biology or want to make sure you do good you want him as your teacher. Be attentive in his classes.
