Heis a wonderful guy, very helpful and very patient. Don't even have to buy a text book for his class; just his notes will do... He is very friendly and helps with any calc problems inside and outside class.

His teaching can sometimes be very confusing, but his tests are very straight forwarded. I wouldn't say the tests are really easy but it's not hard at all. He is available for help almost anytime you need. Great professor. He can be very boring sometimes.

All notes, all class long...you'll learn math very easily if you keep up and make sure to do the examples he gives out in class.

I like this guy, speaks slowly and knows what he's doing and his tests are AWESOME. He provides like a practice test b4 the real one and the real one is jus the same, with different numbers, you'd have to be retarded not to ace his course

His reviews were the same as a test. WOW. Most importent was to be on the reviews. Some people didn't show up for review so they fell. Now don't complain here. There are not many amazing profersors like him. Take him. You will learn a lot.

He is excellent. He is also very helpful. I went and took a lot of help from him. No other professor has helped me in practicing problems. Thanks to him. I achieved atleast a B because of his help in reviewing problems over again.

I have him for Precalculus and it is the hardest class I have ever taken. He means well and is available for extra help but his tests are VERY hard (only about 20 questions or less;and not based off the homework at all). You don't have to do homework suggested, he bases all the tests on the in-class problems, but still very hard!!!

He an okay professor. does alot of proofs and examples of of graphs, not algerbrially. HE very clear, he makes you understand what hes talking about.His reviews before test, and are simialr questions. you cant fail him . receving a 65 as a final is passing. good luck

took pre-calc summer '06. he is kind of boring and looks bored himself, but he is still a pretty good teacher. if you do better on the final than all other tests, he takes off your lowest grade and replaces it with the final test grade. many people dropped from his class, but it wasn't so bad. don't need to do homework, just study the examples.

It has been a couple years since I took Calc with Professor Bachmann. Honestly, I can't believe what I'm reading. He was single handedly the best math professor I have ever taken. Sure, the class was difficult, it's Calculus, but somehow he made it all make sense. If you want to learn, take him!

Alright... calc II ain't no cakewalk. I've had much worse math teachers though. Bachman tends to do his examples pretty accurately... and when explaining something, he's fairly good at taking it one step at a time. If you get lost, it's because calc is hard. I'd definitely recommend him, but don't take calc II if you don't have to.

You can get an easy A in this class if you do the homework and are comfortable with topics covered in MAT 131. His lectures can be pretty boring. Exams are very easy and are straight out of the HW problems.

very straight forward. he teaches fast assuming you understand the first time. but as long as you ask, he'll help until you understand. doesn't check hw, but answers any questions on it at the beginning of class. so if you don't do hw, you're screwed. grading is based solely on test/final, but he doesn't mind rounding your grade up to a nice number

He takes his time and answers questions fairly well. I was having trouble with this class (different teacher prior) but after taking his class I am starting to get things. Kind of a weird but laid back guy; I'd recomend you consider him.

Calm, laid back guy, a little weird but generally nice and helpful if you are not sure of whats going on during class.

Extremely helpful He is very laid back thats why you will pass the class. I took Math 131 in the summer 1. and honestly math is something that I cannot do. But I have passed the class only because of his help. He always help me to understand. exams are out of homework. if you do homework, you will be fine.I recommend him, you wont regret. :-)

I really enjoy his style of teaching easy going,and helpful teacher i would take his class again.

He's great. You will get a good grade if you do the work and make a little bit of an effort. He gives you a list of homework problems that he will never collect but I highly recommend doing them because he takes the exam problems directly from the hw. He also goes over questions from the hw each day b/c he wants you do well.

Finally learned Algebra from him. Very helpful and explained it step by step and kept on repeating a problem until you got it right.

Prof Bachmann is extremely helpful and patient. There were so many lame students that didn't show up to class & didn't study (don't even think they opened their text books all semester) and he re-taught the same lesson over and over for them. He is good and will offer to stay late sometimes to help. You must study to pass the test!!

He's a really nice teacher and is willing to help you with material and goes over everything .... But your grade is based on your tests

He is an excellent teacher. If you don't prepare for class you will fail. Otherwise you should do fine. The lazy students seem to either fail or drop the class. Good riddance!

It was a great Calculus II course; Professor Bachmann let us know exactly what was going on and what was expected of us for a summer course. Always clear and always helpful; definitely worth taking.

He may be a little boring but he definately knows his stuff and is helpful. Don't even bother buying or renting the book. I would take him again..

if you want to actually LEARN something instead of the mainstream textbook regurgitation you get from most professors...take this guy...very patient with slow learners, good concise answers to questions, and workload is minimal...he reviews examples multiple times..easy if you pay attention...i don't understand how he got any bad reviews

Excellent professor. He is very intelligent, and he goes over the course material at a slow rate so that everyone understand it. Tests are moderately hard but grading is very reasonable. He does not assign much homework. Bachmann is also very interested in new mathematical discoveries, and encourages students to research topics online.

Very clear teacher, will redo problems if asked. Homework counts toward grade, attendance doesn't. For the Honors course, he had us present 3 difficult problems to the rest of the class, which was a healthy challenge. Tests were never surprising or unfair. Great guy, wrote me an awesome recommendation letter. Can't go wrong.

I had him in High School from 1978 -1982. Sounds like he is teaching the same way. Uses homework questions on tests. He's outstanding and a great guy.

took paul (i like to call him paul) for mat013, mat014, mat129 AND mat131 he is GREATT.. he may lack a bit of personality and humor, but he knows what hes doing and he makes things as easy and as simple as possible for u, even if it ISS scary calculuss :)

he was very good at explaining the lessons. very interested in answering questions. gives points for hw, tests are easy but does not allow cheat sheets. you have to study to learn all the formulas but the tests are very similar to hw and in class problems. if you fail then its bc you didnt take notes or do hw. highly recomend him. he's great.

Although he lacks personality, he's one of the best math professors out there. He goes over things in detail, explains it clearly, and reviews previous lessons at the start of each class (though it can get really boring). If you're not so good at math like I am, you should def. take him

bachmann is one of the best math profs at mcc!! he is way underrated on here! he shows you every step of everything and makes everything as easy and simple as possible. took him for mat013, mat014, mat129, mat131, and got easy A's in all of them, deff give bachmann a chance hes really good and really easy

This professor helps you with anything you do not understand. He also review everything from the previous class; making sure you understand it before moving on to another topic.

Professor Bachmann is great! His teaching method is clear and he will help you with anything you need assistance with. Very dull professor. Walks into class and immediately begins writing problems on the board. No homework required. Textbook is useless. STUDY THE REVIEW SHEETS!! They are EXACTLY like the tests! Your grade is only based on tests so you must pass them. Lowest score dropped. I am not good at math and got a B. Overall - a decent professor.

Awesome math professor, took him for calc 2 and got an A. Granted, I like math and work hard but he def teaches the material better than any one I ever had. He's a straight shooter and never throws any curve balls on exams. Pay attention, give effort, and you will do well

I enjoyed his class. He's very straight forward and teaches math concepts through simple example before getting to the complex stuff. Unless you're good at math, make sure you try the homework problems he suggests.

Very easy, helpful and straight forward. Must do the review before the exam. If u can do that. U can do the exam. Doesn't talk anything other than math. No Jokes etc. a bit dry class. But come on. It's calculus!

One of the best professors are MCC. Gets straight to the point, does examples right from the book and doesn't give much homework, if any at all. His tests are practically questions from the homework assignments and he even makes his own Final Exam when possible, to make it easier on the students.

At Rutgers I was placed into ELEMENTARY and INTERMEDIATE Algebra and got a C in both. I took precalc and calc in the summer at middlesex to catch up. I got an A in Calc because of how good he is. He's not very lively but he 100% knows what he's taking about and teaches you well. I understood everything and did little HW. Cheat sheets are the best

He is very straight forward to the question. He is very vague when writing out a question for a quiz or test. He sometimes doesn't explain problem fully to help you understand. He has a monotone voice that can put you asleep if you have the class in the afternoon. He does not grade any homework, but gives out just tests and no midterm.

He has a very monotone voice, he sometimes may not explain the problems all the way thru so you may have to ask to explain. You write everything that writes on the board and pay attention. He gave us 4 tests and a final. He may seem mean at first, but he is a nice guy. If you ask for help, he will help you and wont stop until you understand it.

Prof Bachmann is clear cut professor from the start.. starts the semester of with easy algebra 1 reminder questions and then starts introducing algebra 2.. overall great exp with this professor

Easiest math class I've ever taken. You do not have to go to the lectures, maybe come once every so often to have a general idea on the topic. Just make sure to come to the review day and take the test review, because the tests are literally the same problems in the same order, just different numbers or slightly different logic.

Just show up for test review because he gives you a packet of questions he'll answer and they're almost identical to test.

Your only grades are your four/five exams. He does TWO days of review before each exam. He only goes over the basics of each topic which makes it REALLY easy. I liked him a lot. His exams are JUST like the reviews. He does have a very monotone voice so drink some coffee to stay awake and you'll be good!
