He was the easiest teacher I have ever had! All his tests are take-home, except he threatens to make them in class if you make him mad. He teaches from powerpoint that you can get off the 'Net and you are not required to show up to lecture. Overall, I think he is a wonderful teacher.
The course is not easy but with all his help and enthusiasm he makes it easy and very interesting. Fantastic!
Mr. B is TOTALLY AWESOME!!! His class was really tough but I learned alot. It was one of the best science classed I’ve ever had. He really cares about his students. He even made a CD for his students filled with animations and stuff--it's great and it really helped. A MUST CLASS!
Wow. This guy is really WIRED! But he is an excellent teacher. He makes you work hard but its worth it because you learn a lot and it is very interesting. This was one of the best classes
He has so much enthusiasum and loves to teach. His class was a difficult class but he makes up for it with his teaching philosophy. His tests are take home..but are difficult. He uses power point and animation on a home made disk for the students. Over all would recommend him to everyone. Awesome!
Excellent teacher. Very passionate about his subject and wants his students to learn. Take-home tests are very hard but doable. I would take another class with Mr. B. He's terrific!
Mr. Badaracco makes a tough and complicated subject fun to learn. He has a passion for this stuff, and he knows it well. He makes sure his students learn the material. He is fun - what a spaz!! Cool!!
Great teacher! I would definitely take him again
i love him. he is the best teacher for biology. you actually want to go to class. the tests are hard, but take-home. i was four point away from an A and he gave me a B :(. that is my only negative thing about him. other than that he is terrific
Enthusiastic and moves hands everywhere at 7:00AM. His powerpoint visual aids were great I even told N.Cardoza about them and the aids helped me so much. The take home tests hurt me and you will be surprised at how hard they are!!

Cool guy with good sense of humor. Although a pretty difficult subject he teaches a good class.
Badaracco is an energetic teacher, but he tends to stray a lot in his lectures. He likes story telling more than covering the actual info.
He was a horrible teacher who wasnt understanding at all, and very uninformative! When ask for help, he was a complete jerk about it and completely dodged ever answering my questions. He was very rude!!!
He was very entertaining. The lab class was really easy and kindof fun. The lecture was too much though. His tests were kindof hard. Overall i liked him and would recommend him though.
GREAT!!! I just love this guy, he is a brilliant teacher. Would definately take him again.
Our whole class was depressed because of his unfair exam. Badarocco has ruined the GPA of many students. If you can, take professor Roberts or anybody else.
Paul Badarocco is totally incompetent, and I wouldn't wish his hybrid classes to my worst enemy.
This is a very hard class, luckily most topics are hit in anatomy and micro also. So you just have to study, use your head, and put it all together to understand how everything functions. The on-line class requires a lot of self discipline so if you don't have it don't take it. Getting behind is not an option, but overall he is a great instructor
I enjoyed his class. Very enegergetic. his powerpoint it great. It is a hard subject there is no easy out. YOU do have to work for your grade! I found him to be alot of fun in Lab too!
He had a huge ego this last semester. He couldn't be wrong! He was too caught up in legalities to actually treat you like you should be treated. Good luck- you have to kiss up BIG time.
a very good teacher... he knows what he is talkin about, it was a tuff class but he will answer ANY questions u have
The volumne of information to learn for each test is ridiculous. 2/3 of the students have dropped out already. If possible, take this class by itself, because you will need to devote about 20 hours a week to reading/studying if you want to get a good grade.
Paul is very unfair about the students in the class and rambles on and on about other things instead of staying on task....he is to confusing
I would take a different teacher for this class if you can. Heather Roberts is specific about the things you should learn & she compresses the amount into something reasonable. Badaracco is not specific at all and asks you to know huge amounts of info. I spent hours and hours studying and got a D on his last lecture, but all A's in Heathers labs.
Paul is a great guy. He likes questions. Lot of work, just like in other sciences. Open note quizzes, some test are take home. Don't just read his notes, read the text book!!
Terrible teacher!! He talks in circles, can never get a straight answer out of him, and the takehome tests take hours to do because he doesn't write the test. If you have the chance to take another teacher you would be far better off. GOOD LUCK WITH THIS ONE!!!
He is EXTREMELY hard. Not to mention the information required on the test is something that no one can accomplish. He also likes to ask questions that test your "reading comprehension". What that means is that they are trick questions that totally screw you up. This guy ruined my GPA.
This online hybrid class is a joke! Badaracco does nothing to help his students! His take home tests took me 6 hours to complete and I still couldn't find all of the answers in the book/lectures. If you can teach yourself physio then take this class! He sets you up for failure and enjoys it!
If you can help it, don't take this class. He is very knowledgeable but he only gives 3 exams the whole semester. He crams all the info into just his exams. He gets mad if the class doesn't ask enough questions.
Badaracco can be so unclear,he expects you to memorize stuff like crazy and then tells you, "you only need to understand concepts." He throws curve balls at you left and right. He's knowledgeable, but at times I felt that he didn't really answer the quest. @ hand! 3 tests total..so if you screw up, you're toast. If it can be helped, do not take him
This is not a class I would recommend. He is very unclear in lecture of what he wants you learning. He has his objectives set up and says if you know thoses you will be fine, but they have pretty much nothing to do with the tests. In class he goes on about things you don't need to know. This class is just frustrating.
He is very descriptive and animated, has all notes on a disc for you along with study questions & objectives. Optional take home exams and good labs. I think if your schedule isnt overloaded, than youll do good in his class.
I thought he was a good teacher, then 3/4 through semester hae changes his teaching pattern. Insted of lectures now its "You should read it first then ask questions and ill answer, if you dont ask then class is over" WHATS UP WITH THAT?????

super difficult teaching methods...about 1/4 into semester he began only explaining topics we had questions with, sounds great but we would only cover 3 or 4 questions in one period. He goes off topic a lot, his tests are so hard he only let our class use a note sheet for one test and said take home tests would be used, they weren't.
I too had problems with this teacher. He is too hard. Many smart students in my class did poorly under his teachings. This is a fact. If there were more teachers who taught at Sierra nobody would take a class with him.
This guy is a joke! He acts like he is your buddy then stabs you in the back after the first test. He claims it is a "survery" class but then wont teach you anything. He thinks that we are supposed to teach ourselves and if we have no questions in class then we can leave. Loads and loads of info on test. Impossible to study for. DONT TAKE!!!!
Very good teacher. If you want to learn, his is the class to take. Difficult class, you MUST study. My class was BIO 55 online, 3 tests and 3 labs and that was it. I was one of 3 A's, so if you don't want to learn the material, don't take the class.
I am a slacker and got an A- in this class!Paul is funny and informative. I didn't read the book and didn't study until the day before tests, so in other words, anyone can do it. If nothing else, go over the study ?'s on the c.d. The tests are made up of these exact ?'s. No joke. Also, Review main points of labs for the quizzes and ull b fine! =-)
This class was super hard. I was studying constantly. He has weekly quizzes that force you to stay on top of the material, but his exams are super challenging. I earned an A in the class, but was lost much of the time. Every time you asked a question, he went off on another tangent and doesn't answer the question. I recommend Keri Muma more!
Thought his teaching was informitive. He gives you the outline for his all of his lectures and objectives. Its a lot of work but you know what to study for labs and lecutures. Good luck!
He makes you responsible for your own learning. Paul gives all the lecture notes and objectives but when it comes to test time the material is so much to memorize it's overwhelming. Overall, he's a great teacher, the class is very difficult but all the material is covered. Plan on working in this class.
I do NOT recommend him. I would recommend Keri Muma instead. He's very pompous, very hard to follow and he isn't helpful in the least. After you ask a question, you'll still be lost. I consider myself pretty intelligent and this class was like pulling teeth. I had to reteach myself everything. Not an easy class anyway but DO NOT TAKE HIM!!!
If you can take another teacher, please do! Badaracco does little to educate his students and he did nothing but ramble on about legalities during what was supposed to be review sessions. I basically had to teach myself and had to devote all my free time to studying for his impossible tests. I'm lucky to have gotten a B. Good luck with this one!
Physiology is a hard class no matter who you have. He knows what will help prepare people for medical careers. My advice to you is to study the lecture notes after EVERY LECTURE. Trust me, this is what got me an A in the class. Do the take home tests too. It will force you to read the book. Honestly, you only need to study lectures to do well.
I didnt like this teacher. It wouldn't be as bad if he had the study info all in 1 place instead off in 40 different places. If u ask a question, he skates around it and never gets to the point or gives you an answer. He loves to hear himself talk. He goes off on tangents and loses the focus. Too drawn out and repetitive. Choose another teacher.
Took this class this summer. It was not that bad. Just study the notes and memorize those charts. Thats the best way to understand and retain it. He wants to help but leaves it up to the student to get what he needs from him. Sometimes takes some digging.
Awesome teacher. He is very structured and a bit of a control freak, but hey so am I! If you can handle a smart teacher that does not like to waste time, take his class.
While he is a smart person and a good teacher, his tests are IMPOSSIBLE. I am an A student, Physio ruined my 4.9. I got an 89% working my tail off. The tests were NOT a good indicator of my knowledge in the class. I was so stressed out about his horrible tests, I was unable to learn what I wanted to learn.
I earned an A easily; Bio. 55 is one of the simpler biology courses. He does talk more than I would have liked, but overall he was a good instructor. Not every student does well with each teaching style. For those complaining about a lot of info. crammed on each test in Bio. 6 - it doesn't matter which instructor. It's tough no matter who teaches it!
This teacher has no sense at all! Do NOT take this him! He has lost his ability to teach. Doesn't care for his students. Doesn't stick to his word. He will back stab you. Try to get another teacher or go to another campus for this subject. Do your hw on what teacher you get, or else you'll be in my situation as well..
I felt Paul Badaracco was a horrible teacher. He goes of on tangants telling stoies, completely ignoring what needs to be taught. You can study for days and his tests are still soooo hard. Definately has his favorite students. Grading is on points. I don't recommend taking physiology with him.
OMG! I'd rather learn from the 3 blind mice! Do NOT take him! His notes to the test do not correlate with his notes he gives out. Not even Albert Einstien can figure it out! Save your GPA and take another teacher. If you take him, be prepared to focus hard and have no life! Goodluck to you all!!
OH MY WORD!!! Tests are IMPOSSIBLE! Take home tests are a JOKE! Turns a really interesting class into physio prison & still you walk away having learned nothing! He claims he there to help you learn, if he could change his testing method he would, but he's full of it. Personally he's a nice man, teaching wise, he should get off the high horse.
Wow! I couldn't believe all the negative comments about Badaracco. I thought I should shed a more positive light because I think Paul is a fabulous teacher. Granted Physio is a very challending course, but he makes it interesting I felt and he is so passionate about teaching pre-nursing students. There were several times throughout the semester tha
Paul is a great professor. He is smart and interesting. If you read the chapters and lecture notes and go to the labs then you will get a great grade...I don't even attend all the labs and I've gotten an A on all my lab exams so far.
Great professor extremely helpful and loves this subject. If you have to take Bio 5, take Bio 55 with him first it will prepare you for it.
He really doesn't narrow anything down. You have to know it all -- book, lecture. CD. A lot of material here. I suggest you know everything on that CD. Make use of the study questions. Know them. Reading is dense. Probably better to focus on class notes but try to do reading too, 2 or 3 times if you can find the time. You better work hard!!
I took this class online. Only met on campus 3 times the whole semester, so its extremely important to be self disciplined. We are adults, you can't expect the teacher to hold your hand like inn high school. The 3 in class lab exams are extremely hard. The 3 take home exams are time consuming but not difficult. Overall, a hard course!
This teachers teaching style is just not for me. He doesnt answer your questions you try and ask him; He tells you to look them up yourself or find out yourself. He seems very intelligent but lacks the energy to help you. Although I wouldve loved to learn the material from him, he didnt show much interest in trying to help me out as a student.
Great professor. Very enthusiastic. Fair grader. Everybody complains that the class is hard but it is Physiology what do you expect?!? I highly recommend him. Makes it very clear as to what is expected of you. Study his notes and you will do great!
Professor P. Badaracco: "The best instructor I've ever experienced!"
Avoid his online classes at all costs! After 28 years, this man has nothing new to say, but he sure does TALK a lot! Has some real issues with female students, and very paranoid. Hair trigger temper can be REALLY scary if you ask him a question he doesn't like. Ask yourself, if he's as great as he thinks he is at teaching, why isn't he dept. head?
This teacher has a major god complex-as in he acts as a preacher and not much of a teacher. He says attendance is not mandatory and I would agree.Although I went to every class he was of no help at all. As with the previous comment, he has an issue with female students. It's a shame, if someone claims to know so much they should use it for good.
I like him. Not an easy class for sure but interesting. He does make you earn your grade
great teacher! One of the best i have ever ever had at sierra. more should be like him!
Paul is a fantastic instructor. You get out of this class EXACTLY what you put in. If you don't feel like studying and you're trying for an easy A, take another class. If you really want to learn the material rather than memorize it, then Paul is it. He teaches you to think critically rather than regurgitate verbiage. You truly LEARN. Thanks Paul!
Paul is a GREAT teacher! He is very enthusiastic and helpful...if you ask him for help in lab he's right there for you! I highly recommend him for bio. 55 he makes it fun & interesting! Be sure to study the objectives & the CD he gives you. They help a lot! You get whatever you put in to this class! It's tough but worth it! Thanks Paul! : )
This guy really has a problem with women. He's unfriendly and don't ask him any questions in the class, you need to make an appointment to do that. One time I asked him a question and he yelled at me and said I didn't know how to study and next time I wanted to "argue" with him that I should know what I was talking about. By the way I got an A !!!
Took online over the summer. VERY clear as to what is expected. Straight forward, direct, knows his stuff. Need to know material WELL for exams. Not sure about the winers from previous posts. I am female, never saw what they are talking about. Treated everyone the same. I definitely recommend him. Prepares nursing students well.
This is a hard class. Badaracco loves to teach although he is very blunt - he wants each student to LEARN physiology. He doesn't have favorites, he offers to help anyone (although his help is usually asking you questions). 3 lecture exams, 1 lab (for summer). I don't recommend the online unless you learn solely through reading textbooks. Good luck.
Hard class had kind of a cheating Paranoia.
Although the class is hard he's very helpful and really emphasizes that you learn physiology. He understands that the future nurses will a lot of responsibility therefore must know their stuff ( because each person will be helping others as an individual). Good luck with the class he's the best teacher for physio. I recommend taking him.
All the previous negative comments are true. I've seen it all happen in class. He goes off on tangents, he is pompous and arrogant, he doesn't like to be questioned, and he yells at students in class without reason. I will say that he knows what he is talking about when it comes to biology. But he is not as great of a person as he thinks he is.
To all those people complaining about the workload: it's a college Biology course. OF COURSE there is going to be a lot of info. This isn't high school anymore
this man is paranoid!
I highly recommend Mr. Badaracco to those who really wants to learn Bio 6. He can be frank but he makes sense. He makes sure he is current and funny! To get an A from him as I did, do this: stop whining, study hard, don't take it for granted and learn the course by heart, simple! An excellent Bio 5 background will really go a long way!
He's a wonderful and very helpful. This class is hard and not an easy A. Proff really helps and makes things quite clear and helps you in many ways so you can succeed. He really wants us to learn the information not just get an A and get out of there because he always tells us once you're in the program it's going to be hard for us or else.
I loved his teaching style! He gives interesting lectures and is willing to help you if you don't understand something. Yes, physio is hard, but no on ever said science was easy. Just stay focused, study hard, and you will do well in his class.
Good teacher, he really wants you to understand physiology. He is very fair, but the tests are difficult. If you ask him for help he is very willing to help you. Nobody said physiology was easy, it requires a lot of studying, and it really helps to go over this stuff with someone else! If you are in the online class i recommend going to class!!
WOW, took it in the summer online. Even with open book, google and everything else at your finger tips, tests are still hard! I spent my entire summer studying and still got a B. TOTAL AMBIGUOUS answers on the test. I say avoid him if possible.
I really did not like this teacher at all. He didnt help at all. Don't miss the first day of class because if you ask any questions later in class he'll say "well you should have listened on the first day of clas". I explaned it then. Horrible!!!!
Paul is really not that bad. In fact, he's a great teacher. This is a class where you have to put in a lot of hard work to succeed. He's crystal clear, knows his stuff and will try his best to help you do well.
Paul is a great teacher. He's enthusiastic about Physio, always willing to help, very approachable. His tests are hard, but it's only because he expects you to know/understand the information--not just memorize the notes. If you walk into a test with memorized information, but without a clear understanding of the concept, you won't do well.
Lectures are all over the place and hard to follow. Take a different teacher if possible. Tests are very hard. He is a nice guy and very approachable but his teaching is a little manic.
Paul is a very interesting and intelligent teacher. He is very enthusiastic and passionate about his studies and only hopes the same for his students. No the class is not an easy A but there isn't a thing about the human body that is that simple. He makes the class time worth your while. Exams are difficult but practical. This is a college level c
Paul is a great teacher. Really cares about the subjects he teaches. Know's a lot of information and is willing to explain to you if you just ask him. Test's when memorizing the body are hard, and yes you do need to put time into it. But he provides the exact pictures used on test in your study guide. Great teacher.
great guy. TOOK HIM FOR HUMAN PHYSIOLOGY. wants to help. has 3 testing styles you can take, in class essay, in class scantron, or take home scantron. likes to teach. glad i took him
He is the best! He expects a lot out of you but hello! we are adults. He expects us to be in charge of our own education but is so kind and willing to help. I am glad I took him and would choose him all over again. Thank you Paul! :)
Loved his class. He is such a great teacher. So helpful and funny. Makes learning fun. Take science classes from him. memorizing pictures were easy. loved him!
I would take this teacher again! I struggled in Biology in high school, but he makes learning interesting. He is always relating what we are learning to things that are easy for us students to relate to which makes it easier when the exams come out. I did not buy a textbook, most students only use his CD and it is very helpful. Love this professor!
Take anyone else if poss! Tests are ridiculous & don't follow lecture material. Recommended study guides & lecture slides are useless for tests. Seems like a nice person, but gets off on seeing people fail, as all he did was talk about how much he wanted us to succeed-then tested us on concepts he didn't teach. Learned little I can use. Got a B.
Paul gives it to you straight and treats you like a future medical professional. He allows you to attend lecture even if in hybrid class. All expectations are clear. Great labs and interesting lectures. You would have to be a real jerk yourself not to think he has your best interest at heart and wants to prepare you for your career. He is awesome!
Great professor, loves to hear himself talk but great teacher. Devotes entire labs to reviewing for exams. Always available to answer any questions. Does everything he can to help you succeed. Knowledgeable about the nursing world and full of info. Offers take-home and in-class exams. Take home exams are harder.
IT DEPENDS! Ha ha! He says that all the time! There is no homework, no reading, and no attendence required! AWESOME! Although I highly recommend going because he gives weekly quizes that can assist in your grade. You also get extra credit and notes on your 4 tests! The tests are hard but not because of the teacher, its because its bio!!
I LOVE THIS PROFESSOR! Paul is awesome! This class is hard, but so is the major. He will teach you how to take hard exams & how to succeed. He is totally fair, you work- you win. I would take him again. Tells great relatable stories that help w/remembering. Labs are fun, extra credit avail, & extra points that are easy to get. Tae him!
He was very nice and I liked how he promoted helping one another in class but other than that - terrible. He said his tests would be on what was covered in the notes which was not true and the notes were hardly helpful and the way he explained things was very unclear to me. Thank goodness I learned from the book....
Does not test on the notes he gives. Does not respond to emails. His notes are very vague. Learning from the book is KEY for exams. 2 of 3 lecture exams can be take home, which is awesome. However, his quizzes/tests are complicated and he words things confusing. 5pt easy extra credit offered on lecture exams. can bring 1 pg notes to in class exams
Took a hybrid class. Only reason I earned a C was because I messed up the first test. Totally my fault. Offers extra credit opportunities. Allows a page of notes on the exams. Don't buy the book; his lecture CD is significantly cheaper and the class is based off it. I am HORRIBLE at science, but I didn't feel like this was an impossible class.
He is terrible. His class is ridiculously hard. If you are taking more than 2 classes, don't take this class. He overloads you with all the info you need to remember. What he goes over in class isn't on the test. When asked for help, he says look it up in the book. He is a terrible "teacher". Don't take him.
Took the hybrid class and had to drop. He's a good teacher, but it doesn't matter-DON'T TAKE THIS CLASS unless u take a PHYSICAL class. It's so hard and you only go into class 6 times total in the semester. Once ever 5 weeks for a lab (which don't teach anything) and the next week for the exam. Hes great but be prepared to teach yourself everything
Should you take Badaracco? It Depends! It Depends.. You will hear that every day from him, but it truly does depend on; if you are willing to work hard to learn the concepts he's trying to teach you. This class is not easy no matter who you take. He's fair, no homework, but you have to study, and you get out what you put in...
One thing that sucked was, he does not let you record at all. no video, NO VOICE RECORDING! And he had the stupidest reasons for not letting you. I use voice recordings a lot, its a great tool. I never had any of my other Professors not let us use a voice recorder. I think he does it so he can tell you, "I never said that," and you cant prove it!
Paul is a fantastic teacher with an extensive amount of anatomy/physiology knowledge. This was by no means an easy class, but you will definitely get your money's worth taking BIO 55 from Paul. You don't necessarily need the book, but you do if you'd like to get an A in the class. I highly recommend Professor Badaracco if you're willing to work.
Great instructor! Truly passionate about his field and his enthuisiasm is greatly appreciated. Some students would ask questions which Paul would defer to later..."It depends". But he always made sure to circle back around and provide the answer, no matter how off base the question. Study, take advantage of lab time and you'll do fine.
Exams are much different than straight forward notes. But he does this to create a creative mind. He wants to see if you know your stuff. Be prepared to study and to understand that your whole grade falls on your exams. He really prepares you for a real nursing environment. AND HE CARES. but be respectful to him and the classmates.
I enjoy Badaracco. He is incredibly warm and inviting. It's important to note that he starts the semester off quite generous, but if he feels the students aren't putting in the effort and time he will retract some of that generosity. This means EC, take home tests etc. Plan on showing basic respect, do your part, and he will gladly match that.
Expect to study your butt off because that is how important his classes are. Wonderful, remarkable human being, but a little tough in grading zone (understandable for the direction it goes). I actually loved his class, but goes off topic way too much. Don't have your hopes high in getting emotions out of him. You are on your own!! Study extra hard.
One of my least favorite teachers, but not the worst. Take home tests are much harder than in class tests. Make sure you have the time to do extra studying for this class. Gives incentives (extra credit, cheat sheets, take-home tests) but also takes them away for no good reasons. Takes forever to get started in lecture, goes off topic
He is terrible teacher! He will kick you out and not to let you take a quiz if you are late even 1 minute. Do NOT take his class unless you don't care about inequality of treatment.! He is very disrespectful and impolite even when he answers to students.
Unclear on what to study for, outline is very vague. Way harder than an intro class should be. All your points are in the tests, but its hard to study the right things when its so unclear. I went in to talk to him a couple times but it wasn't much help.
Paul is passionate about his classes and expects the students to be also. If you respect his class and put in the effort, this class will reward you. Do not expect to be hand fed your grade, you need to earn it! Paul was a great help in my success in this class and in my Bio 55 class. I recommend Paul's course to anybody going into nursing.
Took the Hybrid class because it worked better with my schedule, how that works is you only go to lab once a week and then you have to teach yourself the lecture material. If you don't have good study habits don't take his hybrid class. Overall the class is very interesting, labs are fun and easy, but it is easy to fall behind! Take Chem2B first!!!
Tests are VERY HARD! One lecture exam and 1 lab exam for each unit. 6 total He says "know the objectives" that are on his CD, but you need to know a lot more than that. He sometimes gives extra credit. Sometimes lets you use 8x11 sheet for notes on lecture exam. Usually I do well with online, but this class is too hard for that.
Always says it depends. I dont think there is a question you can ask him that he wont say it depends. Physiology is a tough class as is, but as long as you put in the work you should be fine. He is very helpful and nice, but he is the kind of guy that wont put up with disrespect.
Uhm, I took his class my first semester out of highschool with 4 other classes. I am confused as to why people say its hard. IT WAS EASY. Just study his cd, read the book, and go on his website. His lab exams were just cut and paste from his website. Easiest A in any science
If he does not like your class he will make it more difficult than it has to be.
Took online hybrid. The website is difficult to navigate. Class attendance isn't mandatory. Nearly your entirely grade is from the tests which are very hard to study for. He said it is common that students don't do well on the first tests - average was in the teen %. This does not reflect well on an instructor. Would not take from this teacher.
Paul is extremely knowledgeable and passionate about his class. He expects everyone to read prior to class but then tells you it doesn't matter if you read or not. Changes his mind frequently and goes back on his word. Tests are given in a multiple choice format, with 300 options to choose from and 40 seconds per question. Very difficult teacher .
Spent lg % of lecture having us get in groups & ask each other ?s we had about material he hadnt covered yet rather than actually lecturing so prepare to teach yourself. Is a bit dated, material is on CD!; no iPads, laptops, etc for notetaking bc of copyright infringement. Up to 50% of grade is based on ambiguous participation rubric.
Great professor he has changed his teaching style a bit and makes you teach yourself and then come prepared to class with any questions on what you were suppose to read or study. He will hold you accountable for everything in his CD and labs. He is direct and will tell you he doesn't care how much effort you put in, the score will reflect itself.
This class was largely based on teaching yourself just about everything. He allows cheat sheets for lecture tests but only if everyone attends lecture (on time!) & participates in the group work. Grades are based on tests & a few lab activities. Lab testing style is confusing. The class is do-able & passable but be ready to self teach!
Mr. Badaracco is so passionate about his material. Hes really good at answer questions in and outside of the classroom. If you want to pass this class and get an A you cant take the easy way out and not study. Everyone has to buy a CD at the beginning of the semester. Use that and live by it and youre golden!
This class was no joke... you have to PAY ATTENTION. It is very lecture heavy but labs are very easy and fun! He offers take home tests, extra credit, or in class notes tests. But only if youre good and follow rules in class. He says participation and showing up to class doesnt matter but it really does. Overall, just make sure you buy the CD!
