I'm still "in progress" with Anatomy 1, but this guy is helpful. He doesn't just hand out grades, but he is very down-to-earth.

He is a GREAT teacher, very blunt and cool to talk to. This isn't a blow off class of coarse and it is a hard class anyway, but he makes it fun. I enjoy going to his class. He likes when people ask questions and if no one understands he has no problem going over until everyone gets it. I highly reccomend this teacher!

It had been 9 years since I had been in school, I had not taken A&P1 yet and I got an A in this class. The lecture tests require a lot of studying. There are always a few fill in the blank. I took this class in the 5 wk summer session at 7:30 in the AM and never fell asleep! His lectures alwas kept me interested. I would highly recomend him.

He is awesome!! I didn't even use the book, his powerpoints have all the information that you need for his tests and he tells you what is the most important. He is really nice, he tries to be kinda funny its sorta cute but yea, hes a really great teacher! It's a pretty hard class but just ask questions and he will help you out. :)

ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT! Keeps lectures & labs interesting. Really helpful, approachable, incredibly intelligent. Presents material in a way which makes it impossible to not learn. Great sense of humor, plus a smile that can light up the room. Likely a Monty Python fan, which is always a plus. 3 lecture tests, 1 cumulative; 3 lab tests.

He always has his door open for questions or if you need help. you can always reach him by email because he DOES repsond. the lab book is a must. i recommend not getting a used one because this way you can write and make your own notes in it. he doesnt make you write any papers and extra credit is available on every test! take him!

If you think Gilmore is good check this guy i like him better cause hes teaches really good like gilmore minus the ego he is supper nice and grades competively (aka curves) and makes sure you know what you need to know he also reviews took him in the summer and got a A+ and there was a few ppl that didnt study and still passed cause hes that good

Person below is correct. I didn't fall asleep in his class (even at 7:30AM) and that's really saying something for me. He's cool like the Fonz and super smart. He goes off on tangents pretty often, but it's always something interesting. He's definitely one of the best (and funniest) lecturers at San Jac. I would absolutely take him again.

This is the best teacher I have had by far. Barron will go out of his way to make sure you understand the material. He makes a point to be available whenever you need him. Great Professor. Always there to help, but the class was very difficult. I studied 3-5 hours before an exam and still did not do so well. He never ever ever is absent and rarely dismisses early. Be prepared to take lots of notes.

I loved this class! Professor Barron was so understanding and made everything so clear. The way he spoke, he was goofy. His goofiness about a topic made things stick out in my mind while taking the test. I had to drop this class because of my brother's illness, but I thoroughly enjoyed it. It was the first class I actually wanted to show up to.

My major is Accounting...I hate any science...earned an A in Zoology and a B in accounting...that's how good he is! I actually enjoyed class (minus the disections)and i know anyone who is willing to study will enjoy prof Barron's class too!

Six tests overall during the semester. Each one is straight-forward enough if you study his notes. Great professor, good clarity, and funny guy.

i HATED science & was dreading botany,but WOW..this guy is awesome! You dont need the textbook, but u need the lab manual. Tests come off notes. I made A's on all tests. He also gives a nice curve! I took A&P 1 in a five week course. It was not an easy A but if you go to class and study, you can get an A. The tests come from the lecutres and he will tell you what is on the test.

Professor Barron is very helpful and interactive however, he has very high expectations. I took him for Zoology during the summer. I was just one point away from getting a B which was a bummer,cuz I had to really study for his exams. You take 3 tests for lab, 3 tests for lecture, and 1 comprehensive final. He also offers a 10pt extra credit assignment toward the end. Professor Barron is one of the most helpful, understanding, personable professors out there. He doesn't make you learn things you don't need to know. If you dislike A&P, he'll make it bearable. This is my first ever rating on this site! Prof Barron is amazing! Though A&P is a tough subject, his lectures were easy to understand and his tests reflected his lectures. He even made labs easy to understand by going over information on the overhead (slidesmodels). He is hands down one of the BEST professors I have ever taken!

I was petrified to take my first bio class since my freshman year of high school, but ended the semester thanks to Barron with a high A! Professor Barron is amazing!! Besides Anatomy being a semi-difficult subject, he really breaks things down and teaches you what you need to know. He gives extra credit at the end of the semester and bonus questions on lab practicals. This was my last semester at college, so of course I was just ready to get out. Prof. Barron made the semester enjoyable. He makes jokes all the time so it makes lectures enjoyable. I didn't really try very hard this semester but I highly recommend taking him for general zoology.

i can't say enough good things about Barron. he is such an awesome teacher and i would recommend him to anyone. very fun and relaxed class, he makes it enjoyable to learn about a hard subject. i would take him again in a heartbeat, he curves tests too. overall, hes an amazing prof

I HATE anything that has to do with science but let me tell you! Zoology was such a great class! He's funny and very outgoing BUT you must go to class take notes and study! If you do that then you'll for sure make a good grade. Attendance is no mandatory but it would be smart to go. and gives a lot of extra credit

I took this class 3x and I finally passed he was always making sure everyone understood the material if you didnt ask questions that was your lost because he was always willing to give you the best answer possible. I will be taking this class again I really wanted an A but I kinda fell off towards the end because I let my job get the best of me and stopped studying. Make sure you study, this class requires that he also gives you good notes and make sure you do the reviews very useful i didnt use the book I found it useless. Just the lab manual

There are some good reviews and some bad. But here is the truth. I took this class and made a C- the first time. Took it with him and got an A+. He is awesome! He does go off topic sometimes but all in all an awesome professor! Labs are right on point and lectures sometimes are tough. He emails back very quick. You want an A? Take him!

Professor Paul Barron was an amazing professor! I took him for AP2 in a summer 5 week course and I made an 96% average in the course. His lectures are so easy. He is also very funny. This was my first time taking A&P I. He was absolutely the best teacher. His lectures were always to the point and very easy to understand. You have to work and study for your grade, but you learn a lot. 6 quizzes, drop 2. 3 Lab Test (Histology/Skeletal System/Skull, Brain, Ear, and Eye) 3 Lecture & Final (55% New stuff & 45% Comprehensive)

At first, I was always afraid to take A&P but Professor Barron makes it so much better. Of course, you have to study and work hard since it is not an easy subject but he will help you. I wish he was teaching A&P 2 but take notes, ask questions and he will do everything he can to help you understand the material.

Professor Barron is AWESOME! A whole pandemic going on and he did an awesome job lecturing and going over lab material. If you take notes from his lectures you will do just fine. Grading is explained and easy to keep up with. Online OpenStax book provided but he does great at PowerPoints and notes, so you dont really need it.

A&P 1 is hard but having a good professor is a good start. There was a textbook to be used but I didnt use it because Prof. Barron prepared well detailed powerpoints, which he clearly explained in class. He gave a study guide for every chapter, as well as reviews for the lab exams. He deserves the best rating !

Probably my favorite professor of all time. I put a level 3 difficulty just because I took him for Anatomy and that class in general is tricky. His lectures are not bad, he includes personal stories and tries to involve his students. Labs are mostly memorization but any questions you have, he answers the best he can.

He really is one of a kind in his field and makes me wish there were more people like him in the uni I go to now. If you are registering for bio or A&P classes, take him.

His class is hard if you don't put your part, but he does give tests online so that makes it easier. Be sure to study at least a week before any exams as they can be very hard especially the lab exams. He is a very good professor and actually has passion for his career. Take his class I definitely recommend him. I am a returning student having to retake my A & P classes because they expired. I had bombed the first 2 exams. Lectures are comprehensive and consist of 10 question quizzes at various points throughout the semester. Labs are manageable and he adds bonus questions on lab exams. I took his class in a 5 week mini semester. Fell in love with his style. He is a great teacher to a point that he inspires you and motivates you. Willing to accessible and answer all your doubts. Basically if you study you will pass.

I would recommend taking biol 1306 before taking him because he does reference Bio 1 A LOT. He's an amazing professor and is super hilarious. This course is for science majors, so BE READY TO STUDY

i loved barron he is amazing and he is direct with what you should know for tests and such. i took him during the summer and though it was a fast paced class, he was amazing in making sure that we had and knew the right material.

You will never find another professor like this please take him. He is incredible.

Professor Barron was great, he made learning anatomy easy and fun. He does provide extra credit and rounds up grades which is great!

TAKE HIM! I got an A but YOU have to put the work in. His grading is easy and offers extra credit. Very caring and understandable

Take him! He is an AMAZING professor. He is very clear and very literal on what the tests will be on and how he will ask them. You do need to STUDY to get a good grade, 2 of his labs are free response/practicals! But again, study and it'll be a breeze! I wish he taught more classes just so I can take him again!

Professor Barron is very thorough and gives you the exact information you need to pass this class. As long as you study the material, you can pass this class with no problem.
