His class was one of my favorites from my freshman year. He was a great prof, and going to class was actually worth the time. Your writing arm will probably get stronger from all the notes, but it's worth the effort!

Of all the psych 100 teachers, he is probably the easiest and most entertaining. I went to class most of the time, got a B without too much studying.

Dr. Biner is hilarious! He has you laughing every day. He is very laid back and will help you in any way that he can! He wants everyone to do well in his class. He is just genuinely nice, and he curves test big time, so that is also a major plus. Please get him, he's wonderful!

Dr. Biner is hilarious. You take a TON of notes during his class but he cracks jokes the whole time and has a really sarcastic sense of humor. His tests are tough and there is a lot to cover but after the first one he outlines exactly what is on them. He always uses a big curve.

Class usually let out about 25 minutes early. Was always interesting. When it was boring material he knew it and taught it as fast as possible. HUGE test curves. Overall great guy.

He's very enthusiastic! haha If your in class his tests aren't hard, and he never has pop quizes.

HE'S THE BOMB! As long as you take notes or get notes its so easy. He tells you specifically what to read in each section for the tests. Its only 3 tests and he ALWAYS curves them! He's also funny!

Tests are hard, because they are from the book & notes, the workbook helped. He is a great teacher. His notes are really good. He is hilarious. He cancels class once every few weeks. He is very down to earth.

Tests are very hard but he curves them so much that a 75% is an A. You will need to read the book for the test. He's funny and down to earth and you will get out half an hour to 45 mins early every class. Yeah the tests are hard, but go to class, take notes and read the book before the tests and you will be fine.

Absolutely amazing professor! He's funny, drops some swear words from time to time, and is extremely helpful. He personally tutored me to ensure I was understanding the material to get the B that I wanted in his class. The first time I took it at Purdue, I got a C-, so I really wanted to do well, and he did a great job helping me get a B (71%) btw

He made PSYC SO interesting! The class was very hard, but he curved the tests SOOOO much! I ended up getting around 55% on every test; however, he would round them to where I would be getting high B's. I ended up getting a high B in the class and could have been an A with a little more effort. WOULD RECOMMEND!

Funny guy, really into the subject and makes it interesting. He goes really fast, but you get out of class super early which is nice. DO THE READING. GO TO CLASS. The tests are hard, but curved alot. You WILL have to put effort into getting a good grade though.

Extremely intelligent man! He goes quickly (bring your laptop), but we ALWAYS get out on time! The tests are tough, but if you put forth the effort, you'll be fine. Also, the blonde TA is really helpful (not bad to look at either). Definitely go to the study sessions!!!!!!! I would definitely recommend this course!

Great teacher! Knows what he's talking about. Very funny. Class is long but you always get out early. goes through notes very fast (bring laptop)tests are very difficult so study A LOT! there are also 2 essays with each test. only 3 tests a semester. curves grades a lot. A lot of the test is book material not covered in class so BUY IT!

Amazingly great teacher. His tests are half from the notes and half from the book so you must get the book. If you help him out in class by passing out worksheets and etc he will help you and give you a better grade. He also curves the tests A LOT. I either failed or got a D on every test but still got a B in the class. Still you should study.

Really nice guy, will help you out if you ask for it. You NEED the book. the tests are 60 questions and 30 from the book 30 from lecture. He uses cutoffs for the test so you could get a 40/60 on a test but it is still a B. take notes and pay attention and read the book.

You know, at first it seems so challenging to remember all the info that he feeds to you, but that's the point. Once you get in the habit of reading the book and then integrating the lecture notes into the readings, you realize Biner's motive: To teach the students as much valuable info as possible. Easily the best professor I've had at Ball State so far. He is extremely funny and intelligent on his subject. He's passionate about what he teaches and makes the class fun & interesting. The tests are difficult but he curves them a lot; I'd get a 46/60 and end up with an A. Highly recommend him. Very willing to help & make sure to attend class.

Dr. Biner is incredible. He makes the class easy to pass. His tests are a bit of a challenge if you do not study. You definitely do have to look through the book. He doesn't assign any homework. Also a great guy to talk to outside of class. Definitely recommend him. Oh, and you always get out of class a bit early.

I'm gonna be honest, if you don't read the book, you won't pass the class. Half of his tests are book material that he doesn't go over in his class. He always cuts class short and makes lectures interesting. I loved him as a prof, and I really enjoyed his class. Oh, and no homework :)

If you don't pay attention in class and don't study the notes AND the book, you won't do well because the test are very hard. BUT if you are nervous about passing because you aren't doing well on the tests, GO SEE HIM!! He will do everything possible to help you pass. He is SO nice, very funny, and incredibly understanding and wants you to do well!

BEST PROF I HAVE EVER HAD. This class is not an easy A, but he is so frickin cool and explains the material so well. He is understanding-I missed a ton of class bc I had pneumonia and he gave me an extra week to study for the exam to catch up. Buy the book, go to the reviews, take really good notes! Dr. Biner is the coolest cat I've ever met.

Biner is absolutely phenomenal. There are only 4 grades in the class, which are 4 exams. His review sessions tell you exactly what to study for the exams, between his lectures and the book. If you go, you'll do fine. Very entertaining. One day he brought a human brain into class that he just happened to have in his coat. Classic Biner.

Dr. Biner is a must-have professor at Ball State. He is enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and hilarious. He is also one of the most reliable resources in the psych department. REGISTER FOR ONE OF HIS CLASSES WHILE YOU HAVE THE CHANCE!

I really enjoyed IO - it's his area of expertise, so if you are looking to take the class, definitely take it with Dr. Biner. He keeps even the most dry material interesting.

He points out a lot of questions from lecture that will be on the test. He is so laid back and funny. This class was a lot of fun. If you skip lecture, you're missing out on test questions. He likes to dismiss the class early, too.

Definitely a challenging course, but Biner is pretty cool and will do his best to help you out.

He is one of the best professors i have ever had in my college career! even thought he subject is tough he makes it tolerable and is extremely caring and on your side. he wants you to pass and does anything he can to make sure that it is possible. he is funny and you always get out early. A LOT of writingtyping though because of so many notes.

There is no book for this class, so it's a lot of writing. Basically if you go to class and take the notes, especially if you go to the review session, you will pass. This class is a guaranteed A if you put in minimal effort, and Biner is a really nice guy.

Awesome prof! So funny and understanding about conflicts and other things. Only has two tests and one paper but he tells you which questions will be on the test and it is impossible to fail them. Also, no book. His lectures are the book.

I loved this class! There are 3 multiple choice tests worth 60 points each and 3 essay tests worth 20 points each. The essays are 2 questions that he usually will give you ahead of time in lecture. Essays are strictly lecture based and tests are book and lecture. Tells you exactly what to study and has a highly curved grading scale.

I love his lectures, and always look forward to going to class. There is no homework, only 3 tests. Tests cover lots of information, both from book and notes, prepare correctly and you will do fine! No textbook, but he goes very fast during PowerPoint. However, he'll stay after class to go back so you can get what you need. Very nice guy. Reasonable amount of tests and papers.

Dr. Biner is great! If you are struggling, he will offer you a lot of help. His lectures can sometimes be boring, but for the most part, they are very interesting. Dr. Biner is great! He makes the whole class based on his lectures so you don't have to buy a book. The downside is that you need to get the notes from every class. He is has office hours for you to get caught up in too. He's just an overall great person and really cares about his students' education

Dr. Biner was a very fun teacher to have. He made everything on every slide interesting. He understood that you can't always make class and didn't take attendance. You have to read, but if you read everything, you will do very well. He curves tests by a lot if the class does bad. I got an F which curved to an A. Very fun. Excellent overall.

Dr. Biner is w/out a doubt my fave prof I've had at BSU. He's funny and honest and will do whatever he can to slow down and make sure you know what's going on bc "hey, you guys are the one paying me to teach this stuff!". The material is v. detailed but its adv for a reason. Don't be scared to ask questions and you'll do GREAT!
