He is really nice and cool and makes his classes fun, unlike a lot of teachers. If you are going to take psychology, I recommend Mr. B to the fullest extent. He is very clear on his assignments and very helpful.

lifespan psychology with him was fun and easy. you have to pay attention and do a 20 pg paper and show up to class and you'll pass. he also gives u a reeview b4 the midterm and final. it's very helpful.. how could people fail his class???

Very good teacher. Keeps the class interesting..Only write 3 long papers in the semester. Very important not to miss CHUNKING days.. thats what is on the exams

Dr. Paul is a great teacher, and the class was alot of fun. It is not a difficult class, although there is a long paper to write... If you show up and apply yourself it is an easy a+++, which is the grade that my paper got. =)

He's pretty cool :) pretty easy, pretty chill.I guess it's recommended you go2class.Like, I took it over summer but sum ppl never went to class... but I went to class bc its my major and I love the subject.He kinda confused me at times but class was fun. we had like 3-4 potlucks. 1 mterm, final. 3 essays (I go to UCR and nvr written ne that long.)

I love Dr Paul he was great and as long as you go. For his papers just do the format exactly how he ask and you will get an A. On the test pay close attention when he CHUNKS because thats whats on the test. Oh yeah he as potlucks which are a lot of fun, I highly recommend him.

Make sure to take not of the key words he mentions. Follow the format he gives for papers and your good to go.

Dr. Paul is a good teacher. His test are not that bad. Helps you by "chunking" and thats when you go over all terms that will be on the test which mostly consist of "fill in the blanks" questions. I got a B without reading the book and just memorizing the terms. For his papers just write them exactly how he wants it & you'll get a perfect score

he is great, the class was a lot of fun. The papers were a bit long, but I enjoyed the challege. He does not grade hard, aslong as you go by what he is looking for. He has only one midtern and final, and they are easy with memorizing all the terms he chunks. I only read about 3 chapters of the book and passed with an A.

He is amazing at story telling. He knows everything!! He is friendly and has a sense of humor. He makes you write 7pages, then 10 pages, then the 16 page final!!!

professor paul talked and talked, he was all over the place, had 2 pot luck, class was easy just had to type a 20 page paper. but overall very fun just boring.

This class was VERY VERY easy. The only tests we had to take was the midterm and the final. He has you write three papers but they are really easy as long as you follow his format. He is serious about the potlucks guys! :]

ok this class was BORING!!! i don't think there was a day that I could say I learned something ...other than Micro bc that's all I did duning his class...and still I got an A. If your major requires the knowledge of this class look for somebody else...if all you need is a gpa booster then yea..sign up w him. Good luck.

Dr. Paul is an ok instructor... He does give you ALL the answers that will be on the upcoming exams and gives you information that is good in knowledge as far as Biology/Health... and how a person can live a healthy life w/o pills & meds... i did enjoy that, BUT he flew through the book. U dont need to read it just pay close attention to his CHUNKI

Wow this teacher is trisuper easy. I took his class for summer n got an A without buying the txtbook. Just listen to his unending lecture n take notes wit his chunks. Oh the good thing in his class is the POTLUCK that's the only best part of his class I love. Lecture is boring n will put u to sleep so if u taking his class take your sleeping utensil wit u. Good luck to ur double easy A.

Dr. Paul is a very fun teacher. he is my favorite professor this semester. his class is fun, n his stories are funny and very informative. I'm learning alot!

Kooky professor... Made me laugh throughout class and made the three hour long summer class seem short. Applied real life and current events to psychology concepts. I wish other professor "chunked" so that they could review with the student what they've lectured in class. I used a tape recorder during his "chunking" reviewed it before each test.

I LOVE Dr Paul i took him in the summer and started a week late so i was really far behind and i still did really well in his class!!! He is fun and his stories are great a lot of movie references so he is clear that you know what he is talking about!!!

good teacher. pot luck each friday and made the class laugh and sit in a circle so that we can know each other. the test r easy i just take notes.

Dr Boc. was great.You will need to write 3 papers(7,10&15 pgs)throughout the semester, but you will have learned alot between the book and his wonderful method of teaching. Just take good notes,read book from the notes, and pay attention to the things he tells you are important and don't stress out to much on the writing assignments. : )

I liked Dr. Paul. The only thing was that I am more of a visual and auditory learner. In his class, he sits down and explains the chapters in book. To me, it made it very hard to learn because he gave examples and all, but he would just speak and speak and never write anything on the board or anything. There were 3 papers, a midterm, and a final.

Really nice and he compares a lot of movies and commercials to help u understand the class better loves to make people laugh and he is really nice and a great guy n well explained

He is the easiest psych teacher, he is such a lenient grader especially when it comes to papers wow!! I suck at grammar stuff lol all I did was follow directions and he gave me A's and B's on the long papers!!!I loved him I got lucky he is so EASY! to all the raters that say he is hard, YOU are just STUPID lol srry its impossible to fail this class

i took Dr. paul for 100 and 111. He is an AMAZING teacher. I recomend him to anyone who needs psych classes. He goes through the text page by page but he tells you exactly what is on the test and exactly what needs to be in any paper. Oh and you gotta love those potlucks!

This class is literally impossible to fail IF you do the essays(EASY!!) and take notes when he reviews for the tests. He is extremely helpful and wants all his students to succeed!! He always comes to class in a happy and upbeat mood and there are always potlucks! :) Study your notes, do the essays and you will pass the class no doubt!

Dr. Paul is an excellent teacher! I definitely recommend this class if you really want to learn! As long as your there everyday and take god notes it's pretty smooth sailing. His papers sounds scary but he's very helpful and goes over it several times.

Great Professor. Three papers, midterm and final so there is not room for error! No homework :) He tells you exactly what is going to be in the midterm and final and papers are easy if you follow directions. i recommend him just memorize the terms he goes over and you'll be fine.

Dr. Paul overall was a great instructor. He goes straight from the book, but he puts a spin on it and always relates it back to pop culture and real life situations. Best way to succeed in his class is to highlight like crazy in the book and make flashcards. There is a midterm final & 20 page observational paper. The paper sounds scary but was easy

I took Dr. Paul's class over the summer, so we had one 20-page paper, a midterm, and a final. The paper was fun to write because it was observational. Midterm and final are mostly based on key terms in the book. I recommend recording his lectures especially for the few key terms that weren't in the book. I also enjoyed the all the potlucks. :)

A very intelligent, caring, and personal professor. He genuinely cares about giving you a good experience in the class and will accommodate to your needs and listen to your concerns (of course if they're reasonable). The work load isn't crazy, the only really big things are the only 3 papers (10 to 18 pgs.) which he spreads through the semester.

Dr. Paul is so far the best professor I've ever taken. He is super funny and very very cool. Potlucks were awesome and the 20 page paper was not at all that bad. It sounds scary but it's not. Definitely would take again and highly recommend. Now I can take Psych. 111 off my bucket list ( If you take his class, you'll understand the last part xD)

He is a very funny man that makes the class less boring. The only thing i would recommend is purchasing the book. highlight and write everything he say, because if you don't then you are screwed on the midterm. also do not lose the midterm as it will help you with the final.

Dr. Paul is a wonderful professor for psychology! He lectures straight out of the textbook & tells you exactly what to remember. He assigns a 20 pg research paper, which he helps you with during the semester. He really knows his stuff and is awesome! Definitely take him!

Dr. Paul is hilarious, great sense of humor, intelligent man, and get ready to take notes based on his lectures. The class is not difficult. Amazing professor, his class does have alot of work and if you aren't an auditory learner it may be difficult for you since his test are mostly lecture oriented. Also long papers to write, but they are usually easy since he helps and gives good giudelines for them.

Amazing professor. The only thing you'll be graded on are the three papers, the midterm, and final. The papers are pretty easy but require a lot of time so don't try to do it the night before. He DOESN'T check emails so don't bother emailing him. He also requires a sign in sheet at the beginning of every class.

Tough hard to understand lecture lots of information tough

Dr Paul is by far one of the most intelligent men in the psych field I have ever met. Some students are bothered by his heavy lectures and quirky stories but he makes psychology relatable. He requires 3 papers, one midterm and one final. He is fair and will never make you feel uncomfortable for having opposing opinions or personal stances. A+

Reads straight from book so only study what he talks about. Keep good notes and record his lectures it REALLY helps you study. Tests are both multiple choice & fill in the blanks, a midterm and a final. One 20pg paper but theres an outline and NOT IMPOSSIBLE TO DO. TRUST ME! Just study what he goes over and youll pass the class. I got an A.

Professor Boccumini's lectures are all presented verbally (no power points), but his content is from the book. He gives 1 midterm, 3 essays, 1 final, and takes attendance daily and that's what your grade is based on, so come to class and listen! He's the funniest professor I've ever had and he makes big concepts easy to understand. Would recommend!

His lectures consist of him going literally threw the textbook page by page so make sure you take good notes!!! He trying to make it fun by having pot lucks once a month. But be prepared to write some pretty big papers (7 pages, 10 pages, then 15!!!)

Dr. Boccumini made psych my favorite class! He does lecture most of the class but he makes it fun. He does a lot of potlucks throughout the semester. But he does ask for a 20 page paper is psych 111. The paper was absolutely not as bad as it sounds though. He also does not grade too hard as long as you do what is asked you will pass.

I took professor Boccumini in the summer. He is a great professor but grades on only 4 things: the midterm, the final, attendance, and an observation paper (20 pages). The midterm is 50 questions a mixture of fill in the blanks, multiple choice and true or false. The final is 100 questions but the first 50 are the SAME questions from the midterm.

I took psych 111 in the summer and it was easy to pass. He lets you know at the beginning of class what he expects. In the summer he had 1 observation paper, a midterm, and a final. The final consist of the midterm (50questions) which are exactly the same and 50 other questions. If you get an A on the midterm and an A on the paper youll pass.

He was a great professor. He will call on you to make sure you are understanding his lectures and if you are not understanding, he will go over it again. If you are having trouble he will make sure you know he is available during office hours and he also encourages you when you feel like you will not pass.

Dr. Paul teaches in a very easy & straightforward way. He doesn't add extra homework & assignments to make it complicated, just goes over the textbook page by page with us so you basically never have to read it on your own time. Answers all questions that people have and tells funny stories. He reviews everything before ALL tests, very helpful

Awesome professor! Gives you everything you need to pass his class. Does go page by page in the textbook but not in an overwhelming way. 20 page essay but its easy/straightforward. Its not more of a scientific write up not so much an essay. 2 exams. Pay attention to the material he emphasizes and youll do great.

I am finally finding the gem stones of education TY RMP! I am taking him now Spring 2021. I love him! a weeks worth of homework consist of watching his online recorded lectures (2). Taking notes and Encoding the information her askes you too. I haven't read my book at all and I am passing with my lecture notes with an A. NO HOMEWORK! EASY TESTS!

Lectures can be long, but I suggest taking him in person because he seems like a good professor for in person. Paper project is 20 pages but it's so easy! Good storyteller and he does "chunking" which helps with going over 3-chapter key points to help solidify information.

He does not give many assignments, he is a nice funny professor and he lectures most of the class. There is 2 papers, midterm, and final. He chunks every 5 chapters which is like a summary of the chapter lectures, they are essential for the tests.

Great teacher. Read the book and the lecture will absolutely help you remember what you learned with a twist. He loves to use movie characters as examples of personality disorders which makes it more fun. Great class!

Very silly professor! He's an older guy with spunk. The grade is based off 4 assignments: 2 essays and 2 exams. His lecture style is very unique. You will go over the previous lectures all in one day to review for the exams. He really sets us up for success! No homework, very easy class for someone doing full time!

I took this course during the same time the previous reviewer before me took it. That person does have some sort of points, but Dr. Boccumini is pretty chill. It can be a little frustrating regarding the technology, but not exactly a difficult course per se. He is a good professor and if there are technical issues, he will try to work around it.

Very chill laid-back professor. He's an understanding person so if you need help just ask him. Just pay attention to the chuck review for the mid-term and final exam and you should pass the class. Also, he gives you plenty of time to turn in the first essay and final observation paper.

I loved this professor! He's an older guy who's really funny and always in high spirits. You read from the book, and he does chunk reviews to walk you through the final. One observation paper two tests. He doesn't upload the assigments on canvas, but he grades quickly & gives feedback.

This professor can be hit-or-miss, but the course is manageable if you stay engaged. The lectures are worth attending, and unstuck ai proved to be a handy study tool alongside the textbook. Expect a 20-page paper, but the grading is fair.

Prof. Boccumini was great & whimsical lecturer and uses lots of movie references. 5 week summer course, mid term, final + 20pg paper to be graded on. Attendance not required, vids uploaded to be watched on own time. NOT tech savy at all-but is sweet and uses email for all submissions/Qs - Canvas only for announcements. Exam Qs presented via zoom.
